I'm progressing with the photoshop (I always keep telling it even it's almost impossible to take steps back when learning new things.. At least I hope one can only get better?), and all I've learned is nothing.
The coolest stuff seem to happen always accidentally.

But I won't complain, as long as I'm involved in this.

I'm proud to tell, that 11th of January our precious Karhu print turned one year old!

(Which means Karhu was born on 11.1.11, and who could've told that the magic date really turned into a magical year.)

Here's a little tribute to celebrate this very successful year hi and both of us have been through.

Karhu's sons:

One of the first Karhu tote bags was sent to Slovakia in the spring of 2011

(These bags were printed by a machine, but as it got too complicated the first screen printing frame was bought in the spring and so started hand printing on t-shirts):

In the summer the printing goes really crazy and people all around Europe gets curious about Karhu. (Especially some folks in Stockholm):

Naturally Karhu joied the exhibition in Stockholm in August:

Then came the Flow Festival and JcDecaux's spot which threw Karhu to the central railway station for a week:

And here we are; In less than a year I've printed almost 200 Karhu shirts that are located in 15 countries, in USA, Europe And Australia.

My New Year's resolution:

By the end of this year (December 31st 2012) I've printed thousand (1000) shirts.

At the moment the number is 283 shirts / 9 months, which is ~30 shirts a month.

All we have to do is double that number.

First you do a long and painful color research:

After too many color combinations, when all of them look like black and puke to you, you give up and decide to present the fall edition now and in these colors:

P.S. This is an ode for colors and colorfulness, so feel free to suggest color combinations you think would rock, pop, jazz or indie hip hop.

The first comic // Birch forest

Scroll it slowly, otherwise you'll get lost. Imagine wandering in a birch forest; I bet you wouldn't run around like a headless animal. If you did, you could fall down and hurt your head really badly, though you wouldn't have it. But headless creatures don't have brains to speculate such matters, nor time to think about it since they're in a huge rush.

There's a very complex plot hidden in the shadows of the birches. Not every Harry Potter would get it.
