Nagtataka ang program manager ng seryeng "FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano" na si Ms. Dagang Vilbar kung saan nagmula ang balitang "Batang Quiapo" ang ipapalit sa serye ni Coco Martin sa 2017.

Ang "Batang Quiapo" ay pelikula nina Fernando Poe, Jr. at Maricel Soriano na ipinalabas noong 1986 mula sa direksyon ni Pablo Santiago at malaking hit ito sa takilya.

Sabi ni Ms. Dagang nang makita naming kumakain sa Grub Restaurant, “baka naman kasi nakita nilang iyon ang ipinakitang teaser sa 'Ang Probinsyano Pasasalamat Concert' (Oktubre 8) kaya akala nila ‘yun na.

“Hindi totoo ‘yun kasi maiksi lang ‘yung 'Batang Quiapo,' hindi puwedeng gawing series ‘yun, dahil kung ganun din lang, eh ano'ng pagkakaiba sa 'Ang Probinsyano'? Halos same lang naman ang concept ng 'Batang Quiapo' at ng 'Ang Probinsyano'?

“Hindi pa nga kami nakakabuo ng ipapalit kasi hindi pa rin namin alam kung kailan matatapos ang 'Probinsyano.'”

Naulat ding sina Julia Montes at Liza Soberano ang makakapareha ni Coco sa "Batang Quiapo."

Hindi pinansin ni Ms. Dagang ang tungkol sa posibleng leading ladies ng aktor dahil mas binigyan niya ng diin ang balitang "Batang Quiapo" ang ipapalit sa "FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano" na malayo raw sa katotohanan.

Dagdag pa ni Ms. Dagang, “Nakakatawa ‘yang balitang ‘yan, mas marunong pa sila sa amin? Sila-sila lang ang nag-meeting, hindi kami isinama?”

Okay naman sana ang lahat – kaso sa Tweet ng GMA ay sinulat nila dito ang name na ‘Kim Rodriguez’ instead ng tunay na pangalan ng sexy actress na ‘Kim Domingo’.

Honest mistake lang kaya o hindi talaga kilala ng social media manager ng GMA ang sinasabi nilang bagong Pantasya ng Bayan?

Sa ngayon ay hindi na makita ang naturang tweet na napansin na ng maraming netizens sa Twitter.

GMA Network, no. 1 muli sa nationwide ratings nitong Oktubre.

Waging-wagi sa puso ng mga Pinoy ang mga programa mula sa Kapuso Network ito ay ayon sa datos na inilabas nang Nielsen TV Audience Measurement o NUTAM no.1 ang GMA Network nitong Oktubre.

Nakapagtala ng 37.4% ang GMA Network sa national ratings laban sa ABS-CBN na nakakuha ng 35.6% percent.

Anim sa sampung programa na pinakapinapanood ay mula sa GMA Network nanguna sa listahan ang telefantasya Encantadia, 24 Oras, Pepito Manaloto, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, Alyas Robin Hood at Magpakailanman.

Samantala patuloy din ang pamamayagpag ng Kapuso Network sa Urban Luzon kung saan matatagpuan ang 77% ng lahat na urban households sa bansa.

Umabot sa 41.9% ang nakuha nang GMA Network sa Urban Luzon mas mataas ng 10.6% kaysa sa ABS-CBN na nakakuha ng 31.3%.

Patunay na mas tinatangkilik at pinag-uusapan ang mga kapuso shows sa buong bansa kumpara sa ABS-CBN.

Samantala, bagong tahanan naman ang turing nina Thuy at Tanner sa Pilpinas matapos manirahan sa ibang bansa. Una ng nakita ng sambayanan si Thuy bilang Vietnamese housemate ni Kuya sa celebrity edition na ginawa sa Vietnam. Dala ng digmaan, napadpad sina Thuy at ang kanyang magulang sa bansa kung saan nahanap nila ang masaya at payapang pamumuhay.

Laking US naman si Tanner kung saan nakagisnan niya ang kanyang ina at step-dad. Nasa 13 taong gulang siya nang nakilala niya ang kanyang tunay na ama. Dahil sa pagmomodelo, napunta sya sa Pilipinas at nakahanap ng bago niyang pamilya sa mga katrabaho at kaibigan.

Sino pa kaya ang makakasama nila sa loob ng bahay? Kilalanin ang iba pang regular housemates ni Kuya sa “It’s Showtime” at “TV Patrol” mula Nov 3 hanggang Nov 5.

Ang “Pinoy Big Brother” ay tinaguriang ‘teleserye ng totoong buhay’ dahil sinasalamin nito ang bawat Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng makukulay na kwento ng iba’t ibang housemates. Para subukin ang kanilang pagpapakatotoo, nagbibigay si Kuya ng iba’t ibang tasks o hamon na tiyak magpapatatag at magpapabuti sa kanila bilang indibidwal sa bandang huli at kapupulutan naman ng aral at inspirasyon ng mga manonood.

KUNG si Kris Aquino ay balitang magkakaroon ng show sa GMA 7, si Kris Bernal naman ang napapabalitang gustong mag-ober da bakod sa ABS-CBN 2.

Hindi na kami nagulat nang pumutok sa dyaryo ang planong pakikipag-meeting umano ni Bernal sa ABS-CBN 2 at sa Viva Artists Agency.

August pa lang ay blind item na namin ‘yan. Noon pa ay natunugan na namin ang plano niya. Sakto kasi na narinig ng aming source ang usapan sa cell ni Kris at ang taong tutulong sa kanya para mag-ober da bakod.

Pinag-uusapan ngayon na nakita siyang nakipag-meeting sa ABS-CBN at sa VAA.

Kung totoo na lilipat siya, aba’y mukhang mauunahan pa niya ang dating ka-loveteam na si Aljur Abrenica na nagrebelde noon at gustong umalis sa network, huh!

Nabanggit na namin ito sa may kaugnayan sa GMA Artists noong August pero ang sagot ay may kontrata pa sa kanila si Kris. At hanggang ngayon, hindi pa rin expired ang kontrata niya sa GMAAC pero ang network contract niya ay tapos na raw.

May mga katanungan ngayon kung hindi na ba happy si Kris sa Kapuso? Nagpapataas ba siya ng presyo? Magaganda naman ‘yung mga lead role na napupunta sa kanya, huh!

Bagamat marunong siyang umarte, may puwang ba siya sa Kapamilya Network na nagsisiksikan na ang mga magagaling na artista?

Anong pelikula ang nag HIT at FLOP sa takilya ngayong taon at alamin kung anu-anong pelikula ang pumasok sa Top 10 Highest Grossing Filipino Movies for 2016.

Ang pelikulang Barcelona: A Love Untold na pinagbibidahan nila Kathryn Bernardo at Daniel Padilla ang nanguna sa listahan para sa Highest Grossing Filipino Movies for 2016 na umabot sa mahigit Php300 million ang kinita.

Umabot sa Php230 million ang kita nang Just the 3 of U s na pinagbidahan nila Jennylyn Mercado at John Llyod Cruz na nasa pangalawang pwesto.

Samantala ang pelikula nila Angel Locsin, Xian Lim at Vilma Santos na Everything About Her ay nasa pangatlong pwesto at kumita ito ng Php208 million.

Hindi namin isinama sa listahan ang mga pelikula below Php100 million ang kita dahil maituturing itong FLOP movies for 2016.

TUWANG-TUWA ang loyal followers ng fantaseryeng Encantadia at ng action-drama series ng GMA na Alyas Robin Hood matapos umamin si Kris Aquino na napapanood na rin niya ngayon ang mga nasabing Kapuso shows.

Hindi lang daw mga Kapamilya series ang natututukan niya ngayon kundi pati na ang mga programa ng Kapuso Network sa pamamagitan ng split screen application sa kanyang TV set.

ABS-CBN is still the most-watched TV network in the Philippines, posting a double-digit lead in percentage against rival network GMA-7 from September 1 to October 13.

Covering both urban and rural homes, ABS-CBN recorded a national average audience share of 45.7 percent, or a 12-percentage point lead over GMA’s 33.6 percent in the period, according to data provided by Kantar Media.

For the whole month of September, the Kapamilya station also kept its leadership in terms of nationwide television viewership with an average audience share of 46 percent, compared to GMA’s 34 percent.

Eight out of the top 10 most watched programs last month were produced by ABS-CBN led by the Coco Martin-starrer “Ang Probinsyano” with an average national TV rating of 39.2 percent at the first spot.

The Kapamilya Network likewise led in Total Luzon with an average audience share of 41 percent vs GMA’s 37 percent; in Total Visayas with 55 percent vs GMA’s 26 percent; in Total Mindanao with 58 percent vs GMA’s 28 percent; in Total Balance Luzon with 49 percent vs GMA’s 35 percent; and in Metro Manila with 37 percent vs GMA’s 33 percent.

Aside from dominating the traditional TV ratings, ABS-CBN also led in the digital platform through its pioneering video-on-demand service iWant TV.

Rapidly transitioning into a digital company, ABS-CBN leads all media networks in bringing its content online to address the change in the Filipinos' viewing habits.

Al Jazeera - It's been about 100 days into the presidency of Rodrigo Duterte.

Since he took power, the Philippine president has overseen the killing of more than 3,500 people in his war on drugs, offended world leaders and strained relations with the US.

In an exclusive first interview since he was sworn in, we talk to Duterte about his controversial war on drugs and foreign policy - including deteriorating relations with the United States and potentially warming relations with China.

"We have three million drug addicts, and it's growing. So if we do not interdict this problem, the next generation will be having a serious problem ... You destroy my country, I'll kill you. And it's a legitimate thing. If you destroy our young children, I will kill you. That is a very correct statement. There is nothing wrong in trying to preserve the interest of the next generation."

But Duterte admits that children and innocent people have also been killed in the bloody crackdown, and promises to investigate these extrajudicial killings, but he also says calls them "collateral damage".

When asked about the contested South China Sea, Duterte says:

"We will not give up anything there; it's an entitlement ... You can only negotiate to prevent a war ... They invited me for talks, and I will go."

Bukod kay Cherie Gil na kasama sa Alyas Robin Hood at Ariel Rivera na pasok sa serye Hahamakin ang Lahat isa na namang aktor ang magbabalik Kapuso Network.

Pasok sa pinakabagong morning series nang GMA Network ang nagbabalik "Kapuso" na si Benjie Paras na pagbibidahan ng sikat na all male group na Thats My Bae under APT Entertainment.

Mas nakilala ang basketbolista at aktor na si Benjie Paras sa Primetime Bida series na Got To Believe na pinagbidahan nang Kathniel bilang si Papa Bear.

Huling serye ginawa ni Benjie Paras sa ABS-CBN ang And I Love You So na nagtapos noong Marso 11 at makalipas ang limang buwan ay sa Kapuso Network na siya mapapanood.

Hindi man sya exclusive contract bilang kapamilya star nang ABS-CBN ay alam naman ng mga pinoy na "Kapamilya" siya dahil naging visible si Benjie sa ibat-ibang kapamilya shows.

BIG fan. Iyan ang sinabi ni Janno Gibbs kung bakit namataan siya sa “Pasalamat” concert ng Ang Probinsyano last weekend.

Very vocal at active raw kasi ang singer-actor sa pagbibigay ng feedback sa serye ni Coco Martin sa kanyang Instagram account kaya’t naimbitahan siya ng production staff to watch the said concert.

Inakala kasi ng marami na baka very soon ay lilipat na rin ng ABS-CBN si Janno, na nagbalita ring under contract pa siya sa TV5 hanggang next year.

GMA Network regains Nationwide TV Ratings Lead.

GMA Network has retaken the lead in nationwide TV ratings, resulting from its stronger performance in all timeblocks, according to data from the industry’s trusted ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

For the period September 1 to October 13 (with October 9 to 13 based on overnight data), GMA overtook its closest competitor in National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) with an average people audience share of 38.3 percent, besting ABS-CBN’s 37.6 percent.

GMA likewise remained the undisputed ratings leader in viewer-rich Urban Luzon, which accounts for 77 percent of all viewers in urban TV homes in the entire country, with 43.4 percent, ahead of ABS-CBN’s 32.3 percent.

In Mega Manila, another traditionally strong area for GMA representing 59 percent of urban viewers nationwide, the Network kept its total day ratings advantage with 46.1 percent versus ABS-CBN’s 28.2 percent.

During partial October (October 1 to 13), GMA particularly showed a stronger following on weekday evening primetime in NUTAM, where its people audience share reached 40 percent against ABS-CBN’s 37.3 percent.

Moreover, in comparison with ABS-CBN, more programs from GMA landed in the partial October list of 30 top-rating shows in Urban Luzon with a total of 18.

The well-loved Kapuso telefantasya Encantadia grabbed the number one spot in the Urban Luzon chart, while emerging as the highest-rating Kapuso program in National Urban Philippines.

The recently launched Kapuso primetime show Alyas Robin Hood, primetime newscast 24 Oras, award-winning comedy program Pepito Manaloto, multi-awarded news magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, weekly drama anthology Magpakailanman, and weekend primetime offering Hay, Bahay! were also among the top 10 programs in Urban Luzon during the covered period.

Other top-rating Kapuso programs during the period include 24 Oras Weekend, Ismol Family, Sunday PinaSaya, Wowowin, Someone to Watch Over Me, Eat Bulaga, Imbestigador, Superstar Duets, #Like, Dear Uge, and Sa Piling ni Nanay per Nielsen data.

Nielsen data is gathered through a greater number of sampled homes nationwide in comparison with other ratings service providers. Nielsen has a nationwide sample size of 3,500 urban and rural homes.
