My new venture with wire!

2012-07-09T07:10:00.001-07:00

I love learning new things that are creative and unique. There is a jewelry supply store at the mall that always intrigued
me. Finally, last week I went in and picked up some jewelry making supplies...gold and silver tone wire, pliers, wire cutters etc.

I must say I really enjoy it and have received some very positive response. I found that my favorite thing to work on is creating a name with the wire and then turning it into either a bracelet or a ring.

Here are a few of the designs i made last week! You will soon be able to purchase these on my website www.gldpage.com! I will keep you guys posted. You can also email me for more info at info@gldpage.com

Hope you have a great week!

hobbies!

2011-11-24T02:04:00.000-08:00

Now that Im a stay at home mom Im really enjoying some of my hobbies, specially crochet. It's relaxing for me. When the girls are sleeping I make myself a cup of coffee, put on my headphones (just on one ear so I can hear the baby if/when she wakes up) and crochet away. sometimes I know what I want to make but most of the time I get ideas as I go. I love making things for my girls and for my online store. I think it's nice to have something you are passionate about. It could be anything from make up, art, food, etc. I encourage Mia to try new things and if there is something she really enjoys to keep at it. Right now because of her art class I have paintings all over our place. she paints something almost everyday, we frame them and give them as gifts to our family members.

I have so many ideas and things I want to learn to make. Something new that Im trying is sewing. My in-laws have a sewing machine so I go over to their place and try to learn from them. It seems complicated but I know that with practice I will get the hang of it.

Im not really a black friday shopper but I think Im going to brave thru the crowd and go look for a good deal on a sewing machine. I have a dress pattern that I want to attempt to make, plus so many other different things I can't wait to try.

Here are my girls wearing some of the things I made.

My big girl showing of her beautiful curls with this white and tan flower hat

I love this picture. I sing the "Rio" song and she always gives me a big smile :)

Ava is wearing a dress I made. Picture is kind of dark but the dress came out OK for my first try.

Til next time,
