Es una diminuta cámara plegable de fuelle para película 127 que producía imágenes de 4×6.5cm. También se comercializó con los logotipos de Boy Scout y Girl Scout.

En algunas referencias bibliográficas se cuenta la historia de que esta cámara podría resolver el misterio de si George Mallory y Andrew Irvine fueron en realidad quienes primero alcanzaron la cima del Everest ya que desaparecieron en 1924 durante su escalada y aunque el cuerpo de Mallory se halló en 1999, ninguna de las dos cámaras de este modelo que portaban se han localizado todavía. Si ello ocurriera, podría saberse si tuvieron éxito en su escalada y, por tanto, no se podría adjudicar el honor de tal hazaña a Edmund Hillary y el sherpa Tenzing que oficialmente lo hicieron en 1953. Así sería si la película se consigue rescatar en condiciones mínimas de conservación (quizás las bajas temperaturas lo hayan hecho posible). En cualquier caso, personalmente observo otra curiosidad en este enigma y es que, de acuerdo con los catálogos oficiales de la Eastman Kodak, este modelo de cámara se lanzó en 1925, es decir, un año después de su supuesta participación en la aventura de Mallori, quizás se haya dado por hecho que era esta la VPK a la que se refieren los historiadores y en realidad se trate de la VPK, también en esta colección y conocida con el mote de "Cámara del Soldado".

Finally, this is what the film looks like loaded into the camera. I chose to make adapters for both sides rather than use the original takeup spool so I could change out rolls in the field and not have to take it back to a darkroom or changing bag.

One roll of 120 film will hold four 6×14 panoramic-style images.

Hallo,
ich habe vor, mir in der nächsten Zeit eine Digitalkamera zu zulegen. Ich hab schon mein Auge auf die Kodak Easyshare V1003 geworfen, da sie MMC-Karten annimmt, man damit angeblich schnelle Schnappschuss-Fotos machen kann und sie nicht zu teuer ist. Was haltet ihr von der Kamera?

ich hab diese kamera und bin vollends zufrieden , auch die übertragung aufn pc klappt einwandfrei , die qualität ist super
einfach sehr gut diese kamera ich hab sogar noch erweitert auf druckerstation macht spass und ist preiswert
viel glück und gute fotos !!

The new Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 ED VR II lens on a D90.

Since the D90 is a mostly plastic body, this combination is very unbalanced and front-heavy. Holding just the camera feels as if the lens is going to rip right out of the lens mount!

New Nikon AF-S Micro-Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G Macro lens @ 1.1:1 Magnification (19)

Wow, what an awesome little Macro lens. Nikon’s new 40mm f/2.8 Macro lens is a STELLAR piece of glass. It’s 35mm equivalent focal length is 60mm on DX(which is a really useful focal length). This lens is capable of 1:1 magnification @ a close focus distance of about 6 inches. Nikon has a long history of making very SHARP Macro lenses and this little beast is no departure. I compared it to the venerable AF-S Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G VR lens and at 1:1, i couldn’t tell the difference. Sharpness when stopped down is criminal and contrast is amazing. Just have a look at the sample images!

Please feel free to view these images at full-resolution. This lens can’t be fully appreciated unless you view at 100%.

Sticking to tradition, we were one of the first people to get a copy of the new Nikon AF-S Micro-Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G Macro lens. The same thing happened with the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G Prime a few months back. We were very lucky to be able to be one of the first to get copies of these new lenses.
