Saturday, May 5 at Swope Park Disc Golf Course

Join us for food, fun & frivolity!

Help the Kansas City Flying Disc Club raise funds for the 30th Annual Kansas City Wide Open Disc Golf Tournament and to introduce our sport to the community.

Players of all ages and all skill levels welcomed. Bring someone new out to play!

$20.00 includes commemorative golf disc and tee shirt, lunch, and all the golf you can handle.

Schedule

10:00 – 4:00

• Pick your group and your time for casual play all day.
• Enter your scorecard in the drawing for a Skillshot basket
• Try the Triple X Games, featuring Crazy John Brooks

11:30 – 2:00

• Food (ribs, pulled pork and sides) prepared by the infamous Handsome Fred Netherton.
• Please bring food such as veggies, fruit, chips, desserts to share.

Overnight

• Camping available Saturday night at lake of the Woods in Swope Park!

2 Rounds of 18 Holes at Swope Park Disc Golf Course 

This is not a PDGA-sanctioned event.

 The tournament can accommodate 54 teams. Please pre-register to guarantee your team’s spot.

Divisions and Entry Fees:

• Open: $44 per team (cash payback)
• 100-Year—the combined ages of the partners must be at least 100: $34 per team (cash)
• Amateur 1 (advanced): $34 per team (prize payback) • Amateur 2 (intermediate): $24 per team (prizes)
• Amateur Women: $24 per team (prizes) • Mixed—one male and one female: $24 (prizes)
• Parent-Child (child 14 and under): $24 (prizes) • Junior—must be 18 or under: $30 (prizes)

Minimum of two teams required to open a division. Entry fee includes a $4 per team fee to the KCFDC.

Ace Fund (optional): $4 per team. If no ace, money will got to the top 3 teams in a C-T-P throw-off.

On Site Registration: 8:15 am – 9:15 am
Players’ meeting: ~9:50. Tee off to follow.
2nd Round Tee: To Be Announced (probably 2ish)

Between Rounds – Triple X Games

Between rounds, several of the Triple X Games, which will be held in conjunction with the Kansas City Wide Open, will be tried and tested. These games include Accuracy, Miniature Golf, KC Hold’em, Speed-Putting, and Tic-Tac-Thro. The Triple X Games will be open to all. Try them…you might like them!

Camping

Also being tried and tested will be overnight camping at Camp Lake of the Woods, which is located in Swope a couple of miles from the course and will be used for the Wide Open as well. Camping is free and there will be fun and games there as well. During the tournament and camping, we’ll be signing up Wide Open volunteers. Please stop by.

Old Pike Country Club and Waterworks Park

[UPDATE] We will be doing a one round flex start singles on Friday. The doubles has been changed to a One day event playing Old Pike and Waterworks on Saturday.

Sunday we will play a non sanctioned singles event at Old Pike and Waterworks. There will still be camping both nights. There will still be a PS3 tourney.

 2012 KCFDC League schedule:

 Leagues will officially run from April 1th – September 30th.  League Directors may wish to run outside of those dates as long as they’re during the Daylight Saving Time hours.  Leagues will start at 6, but to begin and end the year, league directors may move the time up.  Please check out the various course forumsfor more information.

THIS IS NOT A PDGA EVENT!

Field limited to 90 players

Registration will begin at 8:00 and end at 9:45 sharp (AM)

First round will Tee Off at 10:15am

2nd round will start no earlier than 1 hour after the last card comes in from the first round

Divisions offered will be Open $32 – Pro Masters $32 – Women $27 – AM Men $27 – Novice Men $22

If there is at least 4 people interested in a separate division not listed I will open it up. Though from my experience running this event there is not really a need to split divisions to far.  The holes are short and technical.  It all depends on who gets through the gaps the best that day. 

There is a $3.00 Optional Ace Fund.  If no Ace is hit we will have a CTP after the final round to distribute the money.

$2 of every entry will be donated to the Kansas City Flying Disc Club
