Key Item: Infinity Ring

Theme/Mood: Wedding

The challenge is to incorporate the key item, infinity ring, in this video clip. (or create something in the intro and reveal the ring+title at the last part of the clip)

Just remember that the theme is supposed to be "Wedding" and not "Alien Invasion" (with a UFO flying somewhere)

Photo is created intentionally for this blog entry.

Why not put the clips inside the ring as reflection? I think this one works better.

Did the same to the other pair.

Added some lens blur, color corrections, glows, a lot of glows.

End it with this title card.

ABS-CBN 'Ulan' Station ID

2012-07-14T21:35:00.001-07:00

Masarap ang Feeling pag ikaw ang Kapiling

The 8 second Artcard I animated for ABS-CBN's Station ID for the rainy season.

Design by Sir Melo.

Watch the whole video here

"Titled "Da Best Ang Feeling," this year's station ID for the rainy season was performed by singer-actress Toni Gonzaga. The music video premiered after the network's flagship newscast "TV Patrol" on Monday.

With the tag "Masarap ang Feeling Kapag Ikaw ang Kapiling," the video focused more on returning loveteam John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo as they were shown at the start and the end of the video.

It, however, also featured several Kapamilya stars who headline the ongoing and upcoming television series of ABS-CBN."

Final look - Princess And I

Producers: She Ramos (AVP) and Mark Bravo (launch)

A story about a long-lost princess of Bhutan who grew up in Manila.

Logo design: Marl Abejero

The Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery, a landmark of Bhutan, I sketched/ animated for the AVP/teaser.

"You're Always in my Heart" (working title) teaser

Princess and I - Official Trailer (with the un-cured logo)

The AVP/teaser's look (proposed by the producer Ms. She) is "sketch/ doodle/ drawings"

so I saved that idea for the Title card's identity/ over-all look

Kapamilya Wallpaper

2012-01-08T02:34:00.001-08:00

I made a quick C4D study over the weekend, ended up with these ABSCBN Wallpapers up for grabs!

the logo consists of a straight line and RGB circles

Study 1 - Neat/classic look, over peach.

Studies cant be downloaded as wallpaper, I didn't render them in HQ

Study 2 - how will it appear on a darker background.

Study 3 - back with the lighter background with a little blue.

I dont know why, but it reminds me of Toy Story so I came up with the idea of laying them down on the "floor" like how would it appear if it's a toy.

almost done, I just have to fix the green one. It kind of outshine the other color.

The final look took me 15 mins to render, Imagine how many hours of rendering will it get me when I animate this thing.

Final design + screen-caps from the Title Card

So I removed the "broken glass" effect and add a different texture on the background

than just black and white. the text's font was retained to respect the initial design made by the artist (and approved by the client).

Version 2 + Breakdown

To respect the original/initial design made by the artist (and was approved by the client) I retained his grungy font for the official logo .

This one, I made a different version of the text for my portfolio.

The "N" is actually a rotated "Z"

C2 Sarap Ng Bukas - "MURAL"

2011-11-01T03:40:00.000-07:00

There comes a point in our lives where we lose the drive and we get tired in doing the things we love. Like the five characters that we presented on the music video, we always need a kick in the ass that will get us back on track whenever that point comes. The mural shows what they all want to be, and that is to be better in what they do best. And with their cool and clean lifestyle, they will be able to achieve their dreams. Thanks to C2 Green Tea!

An entry for C2 Cool and Clean Music Video Contest "Sarap ng Bukas"
