This has become buzz word in recent times where more fitness, health consciousness of how to maintain healthy body & mind.

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=karthick05-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B003YV20H8&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="align:left;padding-top:5px;width:131px;height:245px;padding-right:10px;"align="right" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">

Let us run through the easiest ways to reach six packs.

1. Burn fat. Without cardio there is nothing.
2. Stay away from sugar sweets,cakes, chocolates, sodium packaged foods.
3. Go for protein based food - Whey powder( has 22g of protein), soy beans( 20g), almonds(12g), peanuts(10g). (Numbers on a rough). Drink plenty of water.
4. Add natural carbohydrates via fruits - on daily basis(apples, oranges, grapes,bananas) plus vegetables - carrots, broccoli, spinach. Also, going for wheat whole grain 100% fiber bread will help to supply good fiber to the body.
<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=karthick05-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B00332187G&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="align:left;padding-top:5px;width:131px;height:245px;padding-right:10px;"align="right" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">
5. Get your heart rate up to your some optimum level where you can breathe & balance via some cardio (treadmill/cycling/any one). 30- 60 mins per day will do wonders.
6. If you are meat eater (am not, so no idea), pls. check for appropriate meat (could be chicken,fish). Remember meat contain lot of fat, so choose carefully.
7. Make a habit to have fat-free milk & fat-free cottage cheese, which has good amount of protein, which can be the food for your muscles.
8. Head for resistance exercises - plan for upper body exercises(weight lifting, shoulders) one day, lower body the next day(weight pull via legs, squat exercise).
9. Go for crunches, static holdup(elbow on the ground, lie on a line, lift your body).

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=karthick05-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B000P8VWQS&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="align:left;padding-top:5px;width:131px;height:245px;padding-right:10px;"align="right" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">

Never do these exercises if you don't have some carbohydrates(brown rice will be good,bananas) before 1-2 hrs, you need good energy to do workouts. More importantly, if you don't have at least 7(accepted)- 8 (good) hrs of sleep, don't attempt trying more heavy workouts, its not good for your blood pressure levels.

Happy six packing :)

Thanksgiving is about giving love & happiness.

Thanksgiving is not about eating turkeys, mashed potatoes, heading to black friday, buying some electronic/softwares on cyber monday.

Thanksgiving is all about love & happiness, the current trend is becoming like all the family members meet only once (on thanksgiving) or twice per year.(on Christmas). Due to the way the lifestyle is changing & in olden days people were leaving within the same city, were able to meet multiple times, but not like those, these times.

The first American thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621, to honor the memory of with a ceremony for the harvest reaped by the plymouth colony after a harsh winter.

I always used to hear from my friend that thanksgiving is more about sharing love & happiness with family & friends. Next time when you celebrate don't forget to invite one/many of your friend/family members who is living away from his/her family, that way you are adding real value to thanksgiving & sharing your love & happiness, we never want to be alone in thanksgiving day.

Giving up is an excuse and finding an excuse is a crime.

It happens, mistakes bound occur, but, when we need to wake up ourselves? all because of giving up things easily.

We want to achieve more, but not ready to take extra effort, when everyone watching matches, everyone sitting in cinema theaters, everyone sitting in living room watching movie with popcorn and coke in hand, there are persons who don't waste their time, each sec is important for them, remember Bill Gates if you need to speak with him, you need to get appointment before many months, can you ever image going near Lakshmi Mittal? These persons come under the II category, work hard for betterment for their life, society and for the country. Are you ready to steady your life without giving up irrespective of hurdles that come across you?

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 91px; height: 120px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/TDmQP0159XI/AAAAAAAACH8/6F2VswBLevc/s320/dravid.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5492579822112208242" />

Wow, the fitness of Rahul Dravid, Sachin amuses me a lot, above 35 dravid plays cricket, hockey. Running between the wickets and fielding of sachin is marvelous. These guys never give up, have ever your noticed rahul dravid throwing his wicket, a bowler should work hard to get his wicket. Man, he fights till his last sweat.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 110px; height: 102px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/TDmPmqL3xBI/AAAAAAAACH0/WBqbEmAPElU/s320/aamir.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5492579114876912658" />

Many strive to achieve more, but when the opportunity comes, they don't respond,instead they try to hide, its very hard to get a chance, good opportunities will come for everyone provided you hit the right path, but we should be responsible for our actions, if you don't deliver, you will be delivered out. Why is aamir khan's movie has lot of vibrance and substance than any other hindi movies these days, that is due to his involvement, interest and never giving up attitude, for you information, aamir khan came much before shahrukh, while aamir has acted less than 40 films, shahrukh has done more than 75(am not comparing both here), the fact is shahrukh is equally committed person like aamir, both have their ideas, the fact is shahrukh and aamir both have struggled a lot before they make it big. If you want to learn how to come up in life without any god father learn from shahrukh, if you want to take a leaf on never giving up attitude look onto these folks. Surviving in the hindi industry for these long period is not an easy task, they both have done remarkable work.

There was a time when young legs were needed to replace seniors. That was when Gautam Gambhir was selected in place of Ganguly. Ganguly is a legend, he is an example for inspiration, aspiration and determination, if you are replacing him, you need a person of strong mental fitness and high quality timing shots, Gautam Gambhir proved he is the next wall, his timing, matching winning knock of 75 runs in 2007 final, remember MS Dhoni is a great captain( due to players like Gambhir, Raina,Sehwag etc), Ganguly is the finest test captain(due to Dravid - 227,181, 270,etc.Laxman - 281, 100*etc), all these because of their never giving up attitudes.

If you can focus and work on your plan, you can achieve millions, inspire others, so we should stop finding an excuse and cultivate the habit of never ever giving up.

Ban elephants in festivals

Elephants are world's unique creature need to be in forest, but due to money from it - Ivory cost, circus people hunt and torture it.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 250px; height: 213px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/S9enTL8SAMI/AAAAAAAACD4/5ZLRJ8w5mVI/s320/elephant3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465020620902367426" />

Also elephants are very emotional creature, it loves his mahout (driver and care taker of elephant) so much. Many times mahout fail to feed at the musk period and elephant gets angry and kills drastically the mahout, the time duration of the madness of elephant could range from minutes to hours. After it comes to normal, it will feel for its behavior and starts crying heavily for killing his mahout. There is a special bonding between the elephant and mahout, like mother and kid, many elephants in asian countries (Thailand, India, Sri lanka etc) elephants don't have any role models, they hunted while they were kid and based on the instructions from mahout it behaves, acts and responds.

Elephant love is amazing, it remembers so much, the bad thing is its treated for begging, in circus they are abused, making to walk in the hot sun for hrs, please they need shelter and peace, they are not supposed to be in the city, let us join hands in eradicating the cruelty,nasty thing happening to the unique lovable, adorable creature.

.NET FAQs -2

What is arraylist?

An ArrayList is an array that can dynamically grow and shrink.The ArrayList is one of the important classes in the System.Collection namespace. ArrayList is a dynamical array; it will increase the size of the storage location as required. It stores the value as object.

ArrayList oArrayList = new ArrayList();
oArrayList.Add("Mark");
oArrayList.Add("John");

2.  WCF Questions

3. WPF Questions

4. Difference between Overriding and Overloading.

Overriding - same method names with same arguments and same return types associated in a class and its subclass.

Overloading - same method name with different arguments, may or may not be same return type written in the same class itself.

Example for overriding
Clas A
{
Virtual void hi(int a)
{
}
}

Class B:A
{
public overrid void hi(int a)
{

}
}

Example for Over loading

Class A
{
class a()

{

}
class a(int a)
{
}
}

5. What is Virtual in C#?

The virtual keyword is used to modify a method, property, indexer or event declaration, and allow it to be overridden in a derived class. For example, this method can be overridden by any class that inherits it:

public virtual double Area()
{
return x * y;
}

using System;
class TestClass
{
public class Dimensions
{
public const double PI = Math.PI;
protected double x, y;
public Dimensions()
{
}
public Dimensions(double x, double y)
{
this.x = x;
this.y = y;
}

public virtual double Area()
{
return x * y;
}
}

public class Circle : Dimensions
{
public Circle(double r) : base(r, 0)
{
}

public override double Area()
{
return PI * x * x;
}
}

class Sphere : Dimensions
{
public Sphere(double r) : base(r, 0)
{
}

public override double Area()
{
return 4 * PI * x * x;
}
}

class Cylinder : Dimensions
{
public Cylinder(double r, double h) : base(r, h)
{
}

public override double Area()
{
return 2 * PI * x * x + 2 * PI * x * y;
}
}

static void Main()
{
double r = 3.0, h = 5.0;
Dimensions c = new Circle(r);
Dimensions s = new Sphere(r);
Dimensions l = new Cylinder(r, h);
// Display results:
Console.WriteLine("Area of Circle   = {0:F2}", c.Area());
Console.WriteLine("Area of Sphere   = {0:F2}", s.Area());
Console.WriteLine("Area of Cylinder = {0:F2}", l.Area());
}
}

6. Static class in C#

A class can be declared static, indicating that it contains only static members. It is not possible to create instances of a static class using the new keyword. Static classes are loaded automatically by the .NET Framework common language runtime (CLR) when the program or namespace containing the class is loaded.

Use a static class to contain methods that are not associated with a particular object.

Suppose you have a class CompanyInfo that contains the following methods to get information about the company name and address.
C#

class CompanyInfo
{
public string GetCompanyName() { return "CompanyName"; }
public string GetCompanyAddress() { return "CompanyAddress"; }
//...
}

These methods do not need to be attached to a specific instance of the class. Therefore, instead of creating unnecessary instances of this class, you can declare it as a static class, like this:
C#

static class CompanyInfo
{
public static string GetCompanyName() { return "CompanyName"; }
public static string GetCompanyAddress() { return "CompanyAddress"; }
//...
}

7. Polymorphism in C#

When a message can be processed in different ways is called polymorphism. Polymorphism means many forms.

There are 2 types of Polymorphism namely
1.Compile time polymorphism (or) Overloading
2.Runtime polymorphism (or) Overriding

Compile Time Polymorphism :

Compile time polymorphism is method and operators overloading. It is also called early binding. Method with same name but with different arguments is called method overloading. In method overloading, method performs the different task at the different input parameters.

public class A1
{
public void hello()
{ Console.WriteLine(“Hello”); }

public void hello(string s)
{ Console.WriteLine(“Hello {0}”,s); }
}

Runtime Time Polymorphism :

Runtime time polymorphism is done using inheritance and virtual functions. Method overriding is called runtime polymorphism. It is also called late binding.Method overriding occurs when child class declares a method that has the same type arguments as a method declared by one of its superclass.

When overriding a method, you change the behavior of the method for the derived class. Overloading a method simply involves having another method with the same prototype. Method overloading has nothing to do with inheritance or virtual methods.

public Class parent
{
virtual void hello()
{ Console.WriteLine(“Hello from Parent”); }
}

public  Class child : parent
{
override void hello()
{ Console.WriteLine(“Hello from Child”); }
}

public static void main()
{
parent objParent = new child();
objParent.hello();
}

8. Generics in .NET

Generics allow you to realize type safety at compile time. They allow you to create a data structure without committing to a specific data type. When the data structure is used, however, the compiler makes sure that the types used with it are consistent for type safety. Generics provide type safety, but without any loss of performance or code bloat. While they are similar to templates in C++ in this regard, they are very different in their implementation.

The System.Collections.Generics namespace contains the generics collections in .NET 2.0. Various collections/container classes have been "parameterized." To use them, simply specify the type for the parameterized type and off you go. See Example 2:

Example 2. Type-safe generic List

List<int> aList = new List<int>();
aList.Add(3);
aList.Add(4);
// aList.Add(5.0);
int total = 0;
foreach(int val in aList)
{
total = total + val;
}
Console.WriteLine("Total is {0}", total);

For more information on generics.

More FAQs later.

MOSS - Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 - I

What is Lamda Expression?

A lambda expression is an anonymous function that can contain expressions and statements, and can be used to create delegates or expression tree types. All lambda expressions use the lambda operator =>, which is read as "goes to". The left side of the lambda operator specifies the input parameters (if any) and the right side holds the expression or statement block. The lambda expression x => x * x is read "x goes to x times x." This expression can be assigned to a delegate type as follows:

delegate int del(int i);
del myDelegate = x => x * x;
int j = myDelegate(5); //j = 25

To create an expression tree type:

using System.Linq.Expressions;

Example :

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 256px; height: 13px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/SnT0DVI3HyI/AAAAAAAABco/-uvSDmFe_Ps/s320/Expression.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365181394156199714" />

The => operator has the same precedence as assignment (=) and is right-
associative. Lambdas are used in method-based LINQ queries as arguments to standard query operator methods such as Where``1(IEnumerable(UMP), Func(UMP, Boolean)).

The general rules for lambdas are as follows:

The lambda must contain the same number of parameters as the delegate type. Each input parameter in the lambda must be implicitly convertible to its corresponding delegate parameter.

The return value of the lambda (if any) must be implicitly convertible to the delegate's return type.

2. Difference between clustered and non-clustered index

The difference is that, Clustered index is unique for any given table and we can have only one clustered index on a table. The leaf level of a clustered index is the actual data and the data is resorted in case of clustered index. Whereas in case of non-clustered index the leaf level is actually a pointer to the data in rows so we can have as many non-clustered indexes as we can on the db.

3. What is Microsoft UIP?

The User Interface Process Application Block provides a simple yet extensible
framework for developing user interface processes. It is designed to abstract
the control flow and state management out of the user interface layer into a user interface process layer. This helps you write generic code for the control flow and state management for different applications types (for example, Web and Windows) and helps manage user's tasks in complex scenarios (for example, suspending and resuming tasks).

The UIP Application Block is based on the model-view-controller (MVC) pattern. Each of the MVC objects is represented in the UIP Application Block in the following ways:

Model — Implemented in the State class. This stores both user information and control information within the user interface process.
View — Implemented in the WebFormView, WindowsFormView, and
WindowsFormControlView classes.

These are used to create views in your application.

Controller — Implemented in classes that derive from the ControllerBase abstract class. These classes are responsible for the starting of, navigation within, and ending of a user interface process.

4. Difference between WCF and Webservice.

WCF is much more flexible:

can be used over HTTP (like legacy ASMX) but also: can be used over NetTCP, MSMQ, wsHttp and so on WCF services can be hosted in IIS (like legacy ASMX)
but WCF services can also be self-hosted in a console app, Windows NT Service,
etc.

WCF offers a lot more security features and security levels than ASMX (message
security etc.). WCF offers things like reliable messaging, transaction support etc. In WCF, almost anything is configurable in a config file - much more so than with ASMX

5. Why do we need 3-Tier architecture?

i. Reusability of the business logic component results in quick development.Let's say we have a module that handles adding, updating, deleting and finding customers in the system. As this component is developed and tested, we can use it in any other project that might involve maintaining customers.

ii.Transformation of the system is easy. Since the business logic is separate from the data access layer, changing the data access layer won t affect the business logic module much. Let's say if we are moving from SQL Server data storage to Oracle there shouldn t be any changes required in the business layer component and in the GUI component.

iii.Change management of the system is easy. Let's say if there is a minor change in the business logic, we don t have to install the entire system in individual user s PCs. E.g. if GST (TAX) is changed from 10% to 15% we only need to update the business logic component without affecting the users and without any downtime.

iv. Having separate functionality servers allows for parallel development of
individual tiers by application specialists. Provides more flexible resource allocation. Can reduce the network traffic by having the functionality servers strip data to the precise structure needed before sending it to the clients.

6. New features of .NET 3.5 Framework

1. .NET Compact Framework

Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) technology
Language-Integrated Query (LINQ)
Improvements made to Windows Forms controls
SoundPlayer to play multiple sounds.
Supports Compression through the System.IO.Compression namespace
Supports the CreateDelegate method
Supports the CLR Profiler
Supports the Configuration Tool (which provides runtime version information and
administrative functions)
Debugging enhancements
Improvements have been made to logging features
Information about the platform type

The runtime tools library with diagnostic tools, such as Remote Performance
Monitor, with the emulator. Strong names that are greater than 1,024 bytes are now supported The global assembly provides improved error handling and integration with
Windows Embedded CE version 6.0.

The class library documentation improved

2. ASP.NET

ListView Class

ListView Class displays the values of a data source by using user-defined templates. The ListView control enables users to select, sort, delete, edit, and insert records. The ListView control is quiet flexible and contains features of the Gridview, Datagrid, Repeater and similar list controls available in ASP.NET 2.0.

DataPager

Provides paging functionality for data-bound controls that implement the IPageableItemContainer interface, such as the ListView control.he best advantage is that you need not have to keep it ‘tied’ with the control on which the paging is being done. You can keep it anywhere on the page.DataPager gives you a consistent way of paging with the controls that support it.

3. Add-Ins and Extensibility
4. Common Language Runtime
5. Cryptography
6. Networking
7. Windows Communication Foundation
8. Windows Presentation Foundation
9. Windows Workflow Foundation
10. Windows Forms
11. LINQ
12. Expression Trees
13. Programming Languages

Please refer http://www.tipsntracks.com/11/new-features-in-the-dotnet-framework-version-35.html for detailed explanation.

7.LINQ to SQL Implementation

LINQ to SQL is an O/RM (object relational mapping) implementation which allows you to model a relational database using .NET classes. You can then query the database using LINQ, as well as update/insert/delete data from it.

LINQ to SQL allows .NET developers to write “queries” in their .NET language of choice to retrieve and manipulate data from a SQL Server database. In a general sense, LINQ to SQL allows us to create SQL queries in our preferred .NET language syntax and work with a strongly types collection of objects as a return result. We can make changes to these objects then save changes back to the database.

EX: (HookedOnLINQ - DB name, Contact- table name)
HookedOnLINQ db =
new HookedOnLINQ("Data Source=(local);Initial Catalog=HookedOnLINQ");

var q = from c in db.Contact
where c.DateOfBirth.AddYears(35) > DateTime.Now
orderby c.DateOfBirth descending
select c;

foreach(var c in q)
Console.WriteLine("{0} {1} b.{2}",
c.FirstName.Trim(),
c.LastName.Trim(),c.DateOfBirth.ToString("dd-MMM-yyyy"));

Output:
Mack Kamph b.17-Sep-1977
Armando Valdes b.09-Dec-1973

8.New features of .NET 2.0 Framework

Various aspects such as Support for 64 bit platform application development, Access control list support (ACL), ADO.NET, ASP.NET, Authenticated streams,COM Interop Service Enhancements, Console Class Additions, Data Protection API, Detecting changes in Network connectivity, Disjunctive Demands, Distributed Computing, EventLog Enhancements, Expanded Certificate Management, FTP Support, Generics and Generic Collection, I/O Enhancements and several other features.

For detailed description:

http://www.programmersheaven.com/2/new-DotNET-Framework-v2

9. Features of SQL Server Integration Services(SSIS):

1. Enterprise-Ready Platform

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) provides out-of-the-box enterprise-class scalability options with its advanced data-integration pipeline architecture,
high-performance processing, and native support for 64-bit platforms.

2. Developer Productivity

SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services all use a common Microsoft Visual Studio–based development environment, the SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio, for streamlined productivity.

3. Extensible and Customizable

SSIS goes beyond simple extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tools by enabling nontraditional scenarios and leveraging the power of the Microsoft .NET platform and SQL Server

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a component of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008. It replaces Data Transformation Services, which has been a feature of SQL Server since Version 7.0. Unlike DTS, which was included in all versions, SSIS is only available in the "Standard" and "Enterprise" editions.

Integration Services provides a platform to build data integration and workflow applications. The primary use for SSIS is data warehousing, as the product features a fast and flexible tool for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). The tool may also be used to automate maintenance of SQL Server databases, update multidimensional cube data, and perform other functions.

Tutorial:

http://sqlserverpedia.com/wiki/SQL_Server_Integration_Services_Section

10. Sql Server Reporting Services

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a server-based report generation software system from Microsoft. It can be used to prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports. It is administered via a web interface.

Reporting services features a web services interface to support the development
of custom reporting applications.

SSRS competes with Crystal Reports and other business intelligence tools, and
is included in Express, Workgroup, Standard, and Enterprise editions of Microsoft SQL Server as an install option. Reporting Services was first released in 2004 as an add-on to SQL Server 2000. The second version was released as a part of SQL Server 2005 in November 2005. The latest version was released as part of SQL Server 2008 in August 2008.

In SSRS, reports are defined in Report Definition Language (RDL), an XML markup
language. Reports can be designed using recent versions of Microsoft Visual Studio[1] with the included Business Intelligence Projects plug-in installed or with the included Report Builder, a simplified tool that does not offer all the functionality of Visual Studio. Reports defined by RDL can be generated in a variety of formats[2] including Excel, PDF, CSV, XML, TIFF (and other image formats[3]), and HTML Web Archive. SQL Server 2008 SSRS can also prepare reports in Microsoft Word (DOC) format.

Tutorial: http://sqlserverpedia.com/wiki/SQL_Server_Reporting_Services_Section

11. Design Patterns

All design patterns have the following characteristics …

A name
A description of the problem being addressed
A description of the solution
An evaluation of the pattern's consequences (i.e. its trade-offs)
As software developers and architects, why should we care about design
patterns?

Design patterns provide a common vocabulary, and therefore facilitate communication.

Design patterns provide templates or guidelines for solving common design problems.

Design patterns help us understand the consequences of our design decisions. If we study design patterns and understand when they should be applied, we can build better products, and in the process bring benefit to our respective companies, our projects, our teams, and ourselves as well. Rather than reinventing the wheel, we can learn from our predecessors, and that's the key to building better software!

Types:

I .GOF (Gang of Four) -The GOF book catalogued 23 design patterns into 3

groups, namely Creational, Structural and Behavioural

Creational

Abstract Factory
Provide an interface for creating families of related or dependent objects without specifying their concrete classes.

Builder
Separate the construction of a complex object from its representation so that the same construction process can create different representations.

Factory Method
Define an interface for creating an object, but let subclasses decide which class to instantiate. Factory Method lets a class defer instantiation to subclasses.

Prototype
Specify the kinds of objects to create using a prototypical instance, and create new objects by copying this prototype.

Singleton
Ensure a class only has one instance, and provide a global point of access to it.

Structural

Adapter
Convert the interface of a class into another interface clients expect. Adapter lets classes work together that couldn't otherwise because of incompatible interfaces.

Bridge
Decouple an abstraction from its implementation so that the two can
vary independently.

Composite
Compose objects into tree structures to represent part-whole hierarchies. Composite lets clients treat individual objects and compositions of objects uniformly.

Decorator
Attach additional responsibilities to an object dynamically. Decorators provide a flexible alternative to subclassing for extending functionality.

Façade
Provide a unified interface to a set of interfaces in a subsystem. Facade defines a higher-level interface that makes the subsystem easier to use.

Flyweight
Use sharing to support large numbers of fine-grained objects efficiently.

Proxy
Provide a surrogate or placeholder for another object to control access to it.

Behavioural

Chain Of Responsibility
Avoid coupling the sender of a request to its receiver by giving more than one object a chance to handle the request. Chain the receiving objects and pass the request along the chain until an object handles it.

Command
Encapsulate a request as an object, thereby letting you parameterize clients with different requests, queue or log requests, and support undoable operations.

Interpreter
Given a language, define a representation for its grammar along with an interpreter that uses the representation to interpret sentences in the language.

Iterator
Provide a way to access the elements of an aggregate object sequentially without exposing its underlying representation.

Mediator
Define an object that encapsulates how a set of objects interact. Mediator promotes loose coupling by keeping objects from referring to each other explicitly, and it lets you vary their interaction independently.

Memento
Without violating encapsulation, capture and externalize an object's internal state so that the object can be restored to this state later.

Observer
Define a one-to-many dependency between objects so that when one object changes state, all its dependents are notified and updated automatically.

State
Allow an object to alter its behaviour when it’s internal state changes. The object will appear to change its class.

Strategy
Define a family of algorithms, encapsulate each one, and make them interchangeable. Strategy lets the algorithm vary independently from clients that use it.

Template Method
Define the skeleton of an algorithm in an operation, deferring some steps to subclasses. Template Method lets subclasses redefine certain steps of an algorithm without changing the algorithm's structure.

Visitor
Represent an operation to be performed on the elements of an object structure. Visitor lets you define a new operation without changing the classes of the elements on which it operates.

II. Environmental Design Pattern

III. Architectural Design Pattern

Architectural or Enterprise design patterns tend to focus at higher abstractions of implementation. In other words, a typical Architecture design pattern would be the 'Three-Layered Architecture'. This simply means that one tries to separate ones implementation in terms of three focused areas or layers (Presentation, Business Logic, and Data Access). At the Enterprise level, one would start looking at Integration Patterns and understanding what patterns are useful in terms of connecting disparate systems in a hybrid environment.

WCF Vs WebServices

WCF

1. DataContractSerializer is used for data transition.

2. File extension is .svc

3. The WCF uses the DataContractAttribute and DataMemeberAttribute to translate .NET FW types in to XML.

4. Public/Private fields or properties of .NET types can be translated.

5. The DataContractSerializer can translate the Hash Table into XML. Hence using WCF we can even translate HashTable into XML.

6. The main benefit of the design of the DataContractSerializer is better performance over XML serialization.

7. DataCotractSerializer Explicitly shows the which fields or properties are serialized into XML.

8. In WCF Services, unhandled exceptions are not returned to clients as SOAP faults. A configuration setting is provided to have the unhandled exceptions returned to clients for the purpose of debugging.

[ServiceContract]
public interface ITest
{
[OperationContract]
string ShowMessage(string strDemo);
}
public class Service : ITest
{
public string Demo(string strDemo)
{
return strDemo;
}
}

ASP.NET Web Service

1. To and from Data Transition is done through XML Serializer.

2. File extention is asmx.

3. ASP.NET WebService uses Webmethods to to translate .NET FW types in to XML.
4. Only Public fields or Properties of .NET types can be translated into XML.Only the classes which implement IEnumerable interface, ICollection interface can be serializable.

5. Classes that implement the IDictionary interface, such as Hash table can not be serialized.

6. Slower compared to WCF.

7. XMLSerialization does not indicate the which fields or properties of the type are serialized into XML.

8. In ASP.NET Web services, Unhandled exceptions are returned to the client as SOAP faults.

[WebService]
public class Service : System.Web.Services.WebService
{
[WebMethod]
public string Demo(string strDemog)
{
return strDemo;
}
}

LINQ Data Sources - Part I

There is a huge buzz involved about LINQ post .NET Framework 3.5 release. I have shared some useful information on using LINQ(Language-Integrated Query) data sources.

Introduction:

1. LINQ gives a set of query operators that are available as C# Keywords. Those keywords will be used to denote/define an expression ie. Query Expression that retrieves tha data you want.

2. Source data for a query must implement IEnumerable<T> interface or interface that implements IEnumerable<T> like IQueryable<T>

3. Datasource of LINQ can be array or an array list that supports non-generic IEnumerable interface.

Example of LINQ to Objects(LINQ Implementation)

LINQ query that retrieves key values from a sorted list

Mark List

SortedList<string, int> markList = new SortedList<string,int>();
markList.Add("Karthick", 80);
markList.Add("Dheeraj"85);
markList.Add("Wendy"60);
markList.Add("Kiah",65);

so the query expression to select the names from the list:

var nameList= from names in markList
select names.Key;

To execute the query the code is:

string strName=string.Empty;
foreach (var name in nameList)
strName+= name + "\n";
MessageBox.Show(strName,"Names from the list");

Important C# keywords for LINQ:

from -> Retrieves source of data for a query
where -> Tells which elements are retrieved from the data source
orderby ->For sorting
select -> Return contents
group -> Group by (aggregate on groups).
join -> Connecting data from two data sources

Using LINQ with SQL Server

Step 1: Object model creation that maps to the data model of the database.
Step 2: Query definition
Steo 3: Query Execution

Example

Code to use LINQ to query the EmployeeDetails table in EmployeeList database

EmployeeList db=new EmployeeList();

var employees=from employee in db.EmployeeDetails
where employee.Age >25
orderby employee.EmployeeID
select new
{

employee.EmployeeID,
employee.EmployeeName,
employee.Age
};

GridView1.DataSource =employees;
GridView1.DataBind();

Object Model provides a measure as a link between objects used by application and objects in a relational database. Object model can be written in C#.

i. Object Relational Designer can be used to create object model.

ii. Implementation of LINQ to work with relational DB is called as LINQ to SQL.(Till date LINQ to SQL can be used with only SQL Server DB).

iii. LINQ to SQL can insert, update, delete and select data.

Use of Object Relational Designer will be shared in Part-II.

Where does the economy heading to?

Microsoft, IBM also want to move out of US if US restricts them with lot of policies.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 100px; height: 119px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/SeAvZvJfmDI/AAAAAAAABNU/-Y_V3ad8Qbo/s320/blog1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323306878751447090" />

China being the greatest and huge exporter of hardware, while chinese design the hardware and indians design the software the US going to consume.

There is such a mayhem and creating a mindset of all negative thoughts into the poor employees who work putting their hearts & souls and in the end they are shown doors by injecting new traumas like cost cutting, recession etc...

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 99px; height: 124px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/SeAvdGCc83I/AAAAAAAABNc/RxawId5llN4/s320/blog2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323306936435536754" />

Major IT companies are starting to walk out of US due to their labor restrictions,tax terms etc..also there is a real factor

For example:

1. If you hire a US citizen - Annual cost is $100,000
2. If you hire a foreign worker - " " " $50,000
3. If you hire an offshore worker - $10,000

So this is factor which tends to move more project to countries like India, china & brazil..

Also India has the world's huge number of english speaking persons compared to other countries. You can see in recession also in Asia-pacific region India is giving the highest salary hike of 10.2%, while in US the unemployment rate is 10%, 21 banks going bankrupted, millions get laid-off but still it leads the economy chart with #1 (how is this possible is my question in my mind)...

There is a huge decrement in the number of applications received for h1 visas this year for 2010, indian students opting for US universities decreased by 9%...

Bail out, Investment Planning,Wealth Managers, Account Managers, Software Engineers, Human Resources etc... but no one can't do anything and there should be some approach to fight this recession....

Lot of failures are due to lack of communication, lot of problems are due to misunderstandings, the 150 years old Lehman brothers got bankrupted was the starting point and 21 banks in US in 2008 bankrupted, millions laid-off with double-digit unemployment rate etc.. but economists, Mr.Obama are sure this is a temporary and something sure is for permanent is on the way!!!

Stay Positive....

Determination, Dedication & Discipline= Sourav Ganguly!!!

I have been inspired by him very much right from childhood watching him. He is very determined, dedicated & disciplined. His abilities has been questioned everytime throughout his career, but every time he responed with his cricketing skills in a great manner.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 130px; height: 92px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/STbskItrr7I/AAAAAAAAA9o/YVmQO4AIFWE/s320/g1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275664119069650866" />

I can see 2 faces of ganguly, ie. when he was captain & after losing his captaincy & came back to the squad. When he was captain he was more energetic, aggressive in cricket & off field, but the later part he is aggressive only on the cricketing field & was very calm & composed. I wonder how such an aggressive person can change his thinking & act accordingly. Really i liked his attitude a lot.

Here is what sourav ganguly shares with us on big guns:

Courtesy:http://www.souravganguly.net

It has been an immense pleasure. Sharing the dressing with Sachin, Rahul, Anil and VVS has been a dream come true. Given my background, I led an easy life. It (the game) has been a learning experience, not only for cricket but also for life. MS and Gary, you are the torchbearers of the team now. Over the past 12-13 years I’ve made good friends and made some enemies, but it was all for the good of Indian cricket and, hopefully, you’ve enjoyed walking the path with me.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 120px; height: 94px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/STbsotgJelI/AAAAAAAAA9w/rmcYh7je4Ks/s320/g2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275664197664471634" />

Sourav Ganguly has done lot to Indian Cricket & its time to return back him with the next world cup 2011. He took us to the final in 2003 world cup but we lost that match against australia, but still the scenes of that match is very much in my eyes, where Sehwag was trying single handedly though his efforts lost in vain. No one can forget the knocking century Sourav Ganguly hit against kenya in semi final where all other batsmen failed, if sourav wouldn't have hit that 100 then we wouldn't have reached the final in 2003.

I dedicate this article to the prolific astute Sourav Ganguly, a legend to be remembered always & please keep inspiring millions of your fans.

Cricket - India's Heartbeat!!!

We talk,eat,fight about cricket & cricketers.
We got independence in 1947, English left us, but they left Cricket in front of us. To be honest 'Hockey' is our national game but cricket overwhelmed it.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 128px; height: 129px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/SR5u2vv4bVI/AAAAAAAAA5A/XKhYQs3tX7U/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5268770500879347026" />

Great players like Kapil Dev,Sunil Gavaskar,Mohd. Azharrudin,Sachin Tendulkar,Sourav Ganguly have redefined cricket in india, they have made indians to oversee cricket over hockey.

India has won 1 world cup in 1983 under Kapil's captaincy. MS Dhoni has set new trend in captaining india, the calm and cool customer with consitent performance over a nut shell both as a player,captain & as individual too.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 99px; height: 127px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/SR5u5lnM0pI/AAAAAAAAA5I/tuQKlPr7UN8/s320/2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5268770549698187922" />

Its very common to see roads becoming empty when india pakistan matches come live on TVs. When Kapil Dev was playing he reached the top spot and he retired when sachin came. Sachin is the only player to play matches with old & young players like Kapil Dev, J.Srinath,Sehwag,Gambhir to name a few. Sachin is termed as the living god by indian fans.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 118px; height: 105px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/SR5u8zwquMI/AAAAAAAAA5Q/wLcVhrw6FcA/s320/3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5268770605035600066" />

There was a time when everytime he comes to bat, he failed & with his stealthy determination,dedication and discipline he proved again and again. A man who is respected by most of the indians for his aspiring,shrewd,inspiring talent, he is none other than Sourav Ganguly, the king of all kings. He made a flashing 100 in his test debut, most successful captain, jubliant human being. His love for cricket is extraordinary.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 101px; height: 120px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/SR5vTSCNocI/AAAAAAAAA5Y/bZSs3Qw7VJI/s320/4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5268770991119376834" />

Another person who is always patient,persistent & always concentrates single minded. The greatest timer of cover drive. He is the wall - Rahul Dravid, good character,temperament and soft spoken personality. His runs in test cricket is voluminous.

Now the amount of money players can earn through cricket is cubersome. If you are good cricketer then you can make most of all through T20,ODI,Test,IPL,ICL,County Cricket etc..

If you are an indian or in india you can't take off your eyes or ears from seeing or listening about cricket.

The heart beat of india ...C R I C K E T.....

The Real Heroes

They had all united and were fighting for a single cause, INDIAN INDEPENDENCE!. But in today's world people are never bothered either to give the resepect what our freedom fighters deserve?

Today's generation assumes 'FREEDOM FIGHTERS' as old aged people who get government pensions, get benefits in train tickets etc. But if you go through their lives, they have some thing to tell us.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R_iloZx7SqI/AAAAAAAAAG8/kL84NLYk0QY/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5186077084450769570" />

Even when Subhash Chandra Bose formed military camp, he didn't have any sponsors to give money to buy guns, bullets etc. He organized and brought people and all poor people what they had at that time gave their money and subash chandra bose used that money and he with other soldiers fought for us. Most of them who fought at that time would have been dead now or become very aged. They didn't had money at that time but they had one DREAM! an independent INDIA.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R_ilsZx7SrI/AAAAAAAAAHE/rPALlK-63F8/s320/2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5186077153170246322" />

Mahatma Gandhiji who studied law would have become lawyer at that time and could have earned money and could have a led a living, but he didn't do like that he always dedicated his life to INDIA! His speech, his approach etc. everything led to india's independence in 1947.

Because of great leaders, good freedom fighters we today see a SAFE india. But are we giving necessary pride and privileges to those freedom fighters? Its a question to be asked ourselves, if not then we need to correct and saluate them for their efforts.

In return what we can return to our freedom fighters is 'BY MAKING QUALITY INDIAN PRODUCTS, INDIAN PRODUCTS WITH GLOBAL STANDARDS, INDIAN CARS DOMINATING WORLD ROADS etc..' making INDIA respectable in terms of human value and development, so that our freedom fighters would be really happy if we can transform INDIA as developed country atleast for them so that the efforts put by them will get a respect.

Internet payment services for .NET applications

You have put lots and lots of effort to bring your application online. Then comes the main picture, let us collect some money through your application/site. A number of companies and websites do the processing through internet payment services like

2Checkout

ProPay

PayPal

MultiCards

WorldPay

Let us see how we can integrate paypal (which is used more comparatively to other inernet payment services) into our application. The visitor, instead of paying the client directly, pays PayPal using credit card or bank account. The client then uses its PayPal account to get the money received from the customers.

Creating a new PayPal account is free, the fees involved when receiving money can be checked at Display Fees

PayPal Links & Resources:

Website Payments Standard Integration Guide

PayPal Developer Network

PayPal Developers - Forum

Creating PayPal Account:

1. Go to PayPal
2. Click Sign Up link.
3. PayPal supports 3 types of account: Personal, Premier and Business account. Choose your country from the pull down menu, and click Continue.
4. Fill in all the requested information and you'll get an email to confirm the details you have entered from PayPal.

Integrating PayPal and Application:

1. To accept payments we need to include 2 elements to the user interface part of the site.
2. Add to Cart buttons for each product and a View Cart button on the page.
3. For example we have a product Ultimate Doll with cost of $16:

<img style="display:block; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R5zA0To9USI/AAAAAAAAAGU/ln8dpeGzZDc/s320/1.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5160211277917540642" />

PS: your_email_address - Should the registeration email ID of your PayPal account.

4. The View Cart button:

Open your main page (master page - may be Main.Master) in source view and add the following javascript function under head element.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R5zBfzo9UTI/AAAAAAAAAGc/s5dTPtZhLY8/s320/2.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5160212025241850162" />

5. In the Main.Master where you have Search, Reset (buttons for products), just add the below code below the Search button.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R5zCQzo9UUI/AAAAAAAAAGk/9w-8Puaw6zk/s320/3.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5160212867055440194" />

6. Next to add PayPal Add to Cart in Product.aspx:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R5zC0To9UVI/AAAAAAAAAGs/fVZn-qSKyF8/s320/4.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5160213476940796242" />

7. Add these below code under PopulateControls method in Product.aspx.cs

//Create the "Add to Cart" PayPal link

string link="JavaScript: OpenPayPalWindow(\"https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr"
+ "?cmd=_cart " + //open shopping cart command
"&business=youremail@yourserver.com" + //your PayPal account
"&item_name=" + pd.Name + //product name
"&amount=" + String.Format("{0:0.00}", pd.Price) + // product price
"&currency=USD" + //currency
"&add=1" + //quantity to add to the shopping cart
"&return=www.yourwebsite.com" + //return address
"&cancel_return=www.yourwebsite.com\")"; //cancel return address)

//Encode link characters to be included in HTML file
string encodedLink= Server.HtmlEncode(link);
// Then link to the HTML Server control add to cart image
addToCartLink.HRef= encodedLink;

PS: Be sure with the email id, as that should be correct in order to get money into your account.

Hope the above few lines definitely are, an initiative for including internet payment services in our .NET applications.

Cool Skills

Learn to give respect to each one, learn to respect person not position. Be always learning addict. Try to be kind,soft-spoken with everyone and greet each time. Before trying to start any task, just practice the same in your mind. The reason is you don't (or) make less mistakes, so that your blood will be cool and will keep your blood pressure under control. So be a good visualizer. Visualization helps in real-life to reach great horizons.

Statistics show that those who are achievers do not let anything or anyone make them feel bad about themselves. Don't take failures as the end of the world, may be god will open another good door surely for you.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R5d9azo9UQI/AAAAAAAAAGE/UKBLyJRM18E/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158729797668262146" />

Choose to be happy, you can either choose to worry about life & what will happen in the future, or you can choose to be happy, to enjoy life & to live life to the fullest. It is a choice. Overtake your worries & fear with all your faith. Have faith in you. Avoid unneccessary arguments, back-bitting strictly in life.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R5d9hzo9URI/AAAAAAAAAGM/Y2TmupH78r8/s320/2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158729917927346450" />

Take each dat as a lesson and try to learn new things.
Stress - This is the word that spoils everything - career,relationship,friendship etc. I had shared my views with regard to stress management, hope you'll find this useful.

Stress is a psychological state that affects the immune system. In this fast moving world, there is connection between stress and vulnerability to viral infections such as colds is widely recognized. For example, cold,fever & flu rates increase among students during exam periods. Can you find why? The reason is due to stress which keeps down the immune system.

Keeping a positive outlook on life can help to overcome the weakening of the immune system. Stress develops depression. Depression affects learning and memory.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R4O8lYOXuaI/AAAAAAAAAFs/IH0WWaeCTe0/s320/s1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153169748985887138" />

So it is essential to manage the stress. Stress can be managed through a healthy lifestyle, including physical exercise, humour which keeps in control the blood level flow which gets increased to brain,muscles and heart due to stress.

Men and women handle stress in different dimensions. While men tend to isolate themselves from others, women will turn to relatives/friends for help to get rid of the stress.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R4O8t4OXubI/AAAAAAAAAF0/5oa16X3F9Wk/s320/s2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153169895014775218" />

Some quick tips & tricks to overcome this stress:

1. Humor therapy - Keep yourself a sense of humour.

2. Listening to your favourite music which can calm your mind.

3. Exercising daily - in the early morning(Physical exercise helps to strengthen brain cells).

4. Cultivate the habit of learning new skills daily.

5. Commitment to listening plus to teach something you know.

6. You shouldn't make/feel yourself depressed as depressing harms brain function.

7. Also you need to be in your weight -not under/over weight which helps you to think faster (See the people in japan/china who are neither under nor over weight and just see their working potential - japan -2nd in economy, china =hardware)..Slim a bit to think faster.

8. Just try to greet back the people whoever greet you, don't always expect someone to greet you, that shows you are not easy moving. Include some good soft skills within you to improve your career skills.

9. Think before you start anything so that you needn't stress yourself later. Strategically thinking & Visualizing - very important ingredients of life.

10. Proper sleep is essential for acquiring new knowledge and learning new skills. So sleep proper to reach top levels.

Overall if you try to implement full-brain engagement then there is no room for stress.

I welcome your points/views/feedback on the same.

Be stress free! happiness full :)

Free Useful Softwares!!!

Suits for everybody, irrespective of entrepreneurs but exclusively for budding entrepreneurs.

Article Courtesy: By Ms.Kristine Geimure - 7 Key Qualities of a Successful Entrepreneur - In Young Entrepreneurs section.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R2pIyoOXuZI/AAAAAAAAAFk/zuXT6Pe53Kw/s320/kristine-business-author.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146005558852565394" />

"Kristine Geimure - Young Entrepreneur Kristine is a driven young entrepreneur and has started several successful businesses online."

Being an entrepreneur is about more than just starting a business or two, it is about having attitude and the drive to succeed in business. All successful Entrepreneurs have a similar way of thinking and posses several key personal qualities that make them so successful in business. Successful entrepreneurs like the ambitious Richard Branson have an inner drive to succeed and grow their business, rather than having a Harvard Business degree or technical knowledge in a particular field.

All successful entrepreneurs have the following qualities:

Inner Drive to Succeed
Entrepreneurs are driven to succeed and expand their business. They see the bigger picture and are often very ambitious. Entrepreneurs set massive goals for themselves and stay committed to achieving them regardless of the obstacles that get in the way.

Strong Belief in themselves
Successful entrepreneurs have a healthy opinion of themselves and often have a strong and assertive personality. They are focused and determined to achieve their goals and believe completely in their ability to achieve them. Their self optimism can often been seen by others as flamboyance or arrogance but entrepreneurs are just too focused to spend too much time thinking about un-constructive criticism.

Search for New Ideas and Innovation
All entrepreneurs have a passionate desire to do things better and to improve their products or service. They are constantly looking for ways to improve. They're creative, innovative and resourceful.

Openness to Change
If something is not working for them they simply change. Entrepreneurs know the importance of keeping on top of their industry and the only way to being number one is to evolve and change with the times. They're up to date with the latest technology or service techniques and are always ready to change if they see a new opportunity arise.

Competitive by Nature
Successful entrepreneurs thrive on competition. The only way to reach their goals and live up to their self imposed high standards is to compete with other successful businesses.

Highly Motivated and Energetic
Entrepreneurs are always on the move, full of energy and highly motivated. They are driven to succeed and have an abundance of self motivation. The high standards and ambition of many entrepreneurs demand that they have to be motivated!

Accepting of Constructive Criticism and Rejection
Innovative entrepreneurs are often at the forefront of their industry so they hear the words "it can't be done" quite a bit. They readjust their path if the criticism is constructive and useful to their overall plan, otherwise they will simply disregard the comments as pessimism. Also, the best entrepreneurs know that rejection and obstacles are a part of any leading business and they deal with them appropriately.

True entrepreneurs are resourceful, passionate and driven to succeed and improve. They're pioneers and are comfortable fighting on the frontline The great ones are ready to be laughed at and criticized in the beginning because they can see their path ahead and are too busy working towards their dream.

Winners never quit

He was forgotten completely. In the entire 2006 he was not allowed to play even a single international match. Everyone started to joke and treated him as a joker. The hero bounced back in a great fashion. A patient guy who has a great focus. Once decided no one can stop his going. He has the greatest will power, self-confidence and great amazing determination. Even lot criticized about his age and told that he don't have proper fitness, but he proved everybody whoever criticized as wrong, he made his talking through his batting. He is the PRINCE of indian cricket Mr.Sourav Ganguly.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R1frL8OAw9I/AAAAAAAAAFM/-_vgqcxbXnk/s320/gan.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5140836090042696658" />

When he can bounce back at his age fighting all the critics,comments, jokes why can't we bounce back from our failures.

A little girl - the 20th of 22 children, was born prematurely and her survival was doubtful. When she was 4 years old, she contracted double pneumonia and scarlet fever, which left her with a paralyzed left leg. At age 9, she removed the metal leg brace she had been dependent on and began to walk without it.By 13 she had developed a rhythmic walk, which doctors said was a miracle. That same year she decided to become a runner. She entered a race and came in last.For the next few years every race she entered, she came in last. Everyone told her to quit, but she kept on running.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R1frSsOAw_I/AAAAAAAAAFc/uzeH0tZaCf0/s320/wil.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5140836206006813682" />

One day she actually won a race, and then another. From then on she won every race she entered. Eventually this little girl - Wilma Rudolph, went on to win three Olympic gold medals. Surely from wilma's effort everyone should make a point not to quit whenever your are down rather fight back and make the failures quit from you.

He was MBA Marketing graduate from Loyola college. Started his career in TV Ads. Initially he acted in Chakra Gold Tea , Tantex Ads etc.That was in early 90s.He got an opportunity to act in telugu movie. He didn't get a break. But he didn't quit. He tried and got a chance to act in tamil movie. From 1990 he was trying to get a break and trying to establish his name in indian cinema. He became tired and sick but he didn't quit. Coming from a non-filmi background, he didn't had any godfather to boost him up. Even all his friends advised him to go back to his business. By his extreme trying and determination , it was in 1999 his movie 'sethu' released. He is Vikram a patient and cool headed person with lot of soft skills with him.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R1frPcOAw-I/AAAAAAAAAFU/5x9F-SjWqi8/s320/vik.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5140836150172238818" />

For the first 10 days there was no audience turn-over. But he was sure his hard-work will pay the price. After couple of weeks there was huge audience turn-around. Even he got the best hero award for his performance and the same movie was remade in telugu,kannanda and hindi later. Now he is one of the top paid actors in south india. All his wait has been made worthy.

Don't quit when you are 10 metres away from your victory.

Always don't wait for opportunities, create your own opportunities. Start working on your dreams implementation. Just keep working on your dreams and don't lose hope if things do not come along your way, just keep trying with determination,patience and make your wait worthy & become a winner by never quitting :)

Unidimensional Concentration

There is no alternative except preparation for success. There will be constant change in this world. Yesterday's scooters like Rajdoot,Luna,Lambherata are invisible these days. Similarly what you know now will not be in use in near future. Change is never ending process. Be prepared for the change and face it and overcome your chanllenges. Setting your mind ands focusing your mind towards your goal needs concentration, not just concentration its should be unidimensional concentration.Below i will discuss few interesting people's unidimensional concentration skills which makes them successful in whatever they do/implement.

It was in chicago when swami vivekananda was walking on the beach side , trained shooters were practicing to shoot ballons which was floating on the tide/wave. Those people couldn't shoot more than 2 balloons out of 10, they saw swami vivekananda and called him and asked him to try and inquired whether he was a professional shooter, he replied no. He shoot ALL the 10s and everybody there were stunned. The only & one and one & only answer swami vivekananda gave was concentration. Concentrate and focus on your task you can achieve what you need to achieve.

You know this person very well. He seldom speaks and he speaks no-nonsense. He can turn any match with his concentration power. He is the king of indian cricket Mr.Rahul Dravid. His unidimensional concentration examples include (to name a few) 181,204*,248,142 etc...ALL match winning knocks in test cricket. He was the person responsible to get india's victory in Australia after 27 years,England's after 22 years in their respective home soils. His another quality which doesn't shake his concentration power is, he never outdisplays his anger,frustration, tension,stress and by doing so he never gets distracted. Even when ferocious bowlers like waqar younis,shoaib akhtar, brett lee etc. will be absent(get tired) when dravid dictates with his bat. Your arm will broke as you can't bowl for 5 days to the same person who is tight and firmly grounded with his unidimensional concentration.

Its our time to improve our concentration, learn new things by throwing the laziness prevailing, ready to move upward in your life. Think about future, but do what you are supposed to do today. Dream HIGH! Achieve HIGH :)

Effect of Prayer

Things need to change. The only thing that can keep up your good work is prayer. A silent prayer in mind can work out magic to your ambitions. Whenever you are down with your health and when you visit hospital ,you will pray to the temple kept in the hospital. If no one readily can help you for any instant, a prayer is the one which keeps your hopes alive.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/R0Pg4mVMwBI/AAAAAAAAAEs/rTR64luqYBw/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5135195263099256850" />

Whenever you are nervous, strain, stress with lot of disappointments an effective mind prayer is required. I remember an incident here while i was watching T20 world 2007 cup final, where 6 balls 12 runs were required, all my friends started to pray and in the TV the pakistan team manager was also praying even he was chanting some sloga/mantras. When Mishbal hit a six in joginder's ball the pakistan team manager and their team members started to jump in the air. They didn't know the strength of our prayer,if you watch again you can see only 1 person was praying in the entire pakistani camp, where as here there were lakhs and lakhs of people praying for indian victory. Then came the ball and hit into hands of sreesanth and our prayers were answered. This was an example given to insist how prayers can be effective in difficult situations.

So let all your prayers get answered and happiness start to prevail you always :)

Dreams or Fate ?

All human beings have dreams. But there are human beings who will constantly always oppose your dreams by projecting some unwanted silly things in front of you. If you succeed they will tell your hard work as luck and if you fail they describe your failure as fate.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/Ryi_xtlWKgI/AAAAAAAAAD8/tzEHpCpxZbw/s320/fate.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127559036532042242" />

If you try to channelize your mind properly, you will do only things that you need to do. Courage is the most important mental quality in life. If you try to learn from your failures, you will reach easily where you need to reach.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9Aqxddjjb44/Ryi_2tlWKhI/AAAAAAAAAEE/NNkxx27VBc4/s320/dreams.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127559122431388178" />

Just keep working on how to make your dreams into reality. The more you become your dream the more you are going to succeed. To be a good human being, you need to develop a good understanding skill. Always respect people and not position. Try to praise each one for their good work rather than criticizing.

Be a doer always rather than a watcher. Dreams can become reality if you try & execute your plans. Have a concrete plan of what you need to become and when you need to become that. Time is important. The time lost cannot be retrieved, each second is important, so utilize your time in a healthier way.

May all your DREAMS overtake your FATE and become real very soon :)
