What's your craft weekend plans??

I always look forward to the weekend. I call it my craft/fashion weekend. I get all my fabric, beads and glitter together and just go from there. I have noticed I think I design better when my table is slightly messy.. Odd I know but I can see all the colors and designs going together. When I have everything straightened I have no idea where to start. Now a lot of the time it does annoy me because I seem to always lose my snippers but I've come up with some great products I think from my little clutter.
Do any of you work better in a mess or everything squared?? I can't remember but I was to say it's the right brain that controls all these creativeness : ) maybe the mess helps with that too. Well I'm just here blabbering but if you've been excited about my shoe designs I will say in the next couple of weeks they will officially be for sale!!! Exciting I know, my shoe boxes are coming in and I will be shipping them nationwide. All my shoes have been upcycled and designed by myself so you could be the only person with these shoes. That's pretty awesome. I'll keep you posted have a great and safe weekend. And craft away.

I have been on a role.. I think with my idea of how I would design shoes if I had my own line... Well hey this is my own line : ) I have started up cycling shoes and I have loved every one of them : ) I want to start selling them or taking others shoes upon request and making them "new" as you know Kasha Designs is now under my name Krista Marie Designs.. I have taken some time off to clear up some things in my life and business. I have chosen to get away from the name Kasha Designs and go with something that speaks more of me. Krista Marie Designs, I started Kasha with a friend and it just did not work out as I was doing all of the work anyway. With Krista Marie Designs, I am still designing what I love but there has been some add ons. I started designing and up cycling shoes, I just got a new dress form and making my own clothing line, once I become better at it I can take orders and will most likely be able to work with sizes 6-14. Jewelry is still selling on my fanpage which the link is still http://www.facebook.com/kashadesigns I would just hate to change everything after getting all my fans etc but the title is Krista Marie Designs. I am setting up a new online store I hope to have up by this weekend if not the start of next week. I am in the process of building a portfolio as well for the Academy of Art University in San Fransisco, a very prestigious art school I hope to attend to get my bachelors in fashion design. So I just wanted to share with all of you what was going on and I'm happy to still be doing what I love and adding on to it. Here are some pictures of the new items I have made. Right now prices are listed on the fanpage and I can use paypal if anyone would like to order anything. Thank you for the love and support... Here's to the future.

Personally designing/upcycling shoes

With my love of fashion i have decided to come across in adding something amazing to Kasha Designs. Iam up cycling my old shoes or shoes I can get a hold of. So yeah you can say a shoe designer. One of a kind and a friend has even asked me to upcycle a pair of her old not so pretty shoes anymore. This is going to be so much fun as I can design an outfit with shoes and accessories and have a fully complete line now. This was the first part and they turned out great. I can not wait to get started with even more.

This is the shoe before. I have had these for some time and they were just too bland for me. Also the other shoe the strap broke and I did not just want to get rid of them.

After. My mind and hands went to work and I got this now vamped up wedge. All fabric was from what I had laying in my sewing room and rhinestones add some bling to it. I really love them and will look great this spring and summer.

Not bad for my first attempt. I'm excited to do more and will be doing themed shoes as well. I may be doing a Nicki Minaj or Katy Perry inspired shoe : ) Every so often I'll find something themed to design the shoe around.

Kasha in the Dare 2 Vogue beauty box

That's right I will try and have a Kasha Designs item in each of the monthly beauty boxes that will be released monthly from Dare 2 Vogue. The beauty boxes will have 4-10 fashion and beauty items in them and so many will be released monthly. Be sure to check out the website http://www.dare2vogue.webs.com that is where you can buy the bags. I am undecided on if I want to make balli rings or a some hair clips to fill in the very first beauty box that will be launched Feb 1st 12 am central standard time. Well I have to make my decision soon.. I am leaning more toward balli rings.

This is something big and exciting. If you have not heard of a beauty box, wow are you missing out. A beauty box is a box put together by a company and beauty companies fill this box with their product. Either it be samples or full item beauty products.

Well.... Dare 2 Vogue is mine a good friends new beauty box company called Dare 2 Vogue. We will not only be having beauty items but fashion items as well. Each month boxes will be placed for sale for only $10! Some beauty boxes will reach $30 but ours will always be $10 and will range from 4-10 items. On the 1st of each month limited qty's of Dare 2 Vogue beauty boxes will be released and people can enjoy. What has inspired you this summer?

I have noticed that so many things have been inspiring me this summer. I have also noticed I have been more inspired during spring/summer than I have been in fall an winter. Maybe it's because of the bright colors and blossoming flowers? Or the warm weather? I'm not sure but I have made some creative items that I am very happy to share and hopefully be able to pass on to another person to be inspired by my made creations.
