Clorox Pour Spout - No more splashing!

I had one of these for years ontop of my clorox so that it wouldn't splash everywhere. Then one day it broke and I thought it would be easy to replace. I was wrong... until today! It's called a Hopkins Spout that they use in the automotive industry. Aha! Click HERE or on the image and you can get one yourself from Amazon. What a find!

My washer sits on pedastals and I'm not that tall so I have to reach up and try not to spill the bleach. I'm looking forward to having this great little tool again!

3 Mamas Wellness: doTERRA essential oils antibiotic

I have some great friends that run a blog for wellness... 3 Mamas Wellness. This weekend I was able to attend a conference on Essential Oils with them. During the whole class I was suffering with the nastiest sore throat and was dropping On Guard into my throat and then Frankincense. (which I tell you is like sucking on a cedar stick... not too pleasant). I was happy when I got back to find her recommendation on an antibiotic just as I was tempted to break into an old bottle of penicillin I had been prescribed too long ago (it should have been thrown away).

She looked up antibiotic in her Modern Essentials book. and found this recipe:

doTERRA Essential Oil Antibiotic

12 drops of On Guard, 6 drops of oregano and 2 drops of Frankincense in a gel cap (She split it between two gel caps). She began taking this antibiotic twice a day for several days. And you know what? IT WORKED for her. Just like traditional prescription antibiotics, she began feeling better within 24 hours. (And just like traditional antibiotics, she kept up the therapy for a week to make sure the infection was truly gone.)

Wow... I know I'm not going to do this topic justice because there are many long-term users of Young Living out there. Many of those are in my extended family, but this I know. When you open a bottle of doTERRA lavender in comparison to other essential oils on the market you will be blown away at the pureness of the smell and the taste.... yes that's right! TASTE!

doTERRA's oils are certified pure therapeutic grade oils. Keeping the FLU bug out of my home!

My sister, my next door neighbor, 3 homes up, across the street, kids in my daughter's preschool, girlfriends from church.... the list continues of those who have been hit by the nasty FLU bug this holiday season. Whether it is up or down they are sick all night and feel absolutely crummy!

Call it coincidence that I have been around all of these sick people (even cared for one all day and her children) but not gotten sick myself. Or anyone in my family.

Coincidence?... Seriously, I think not!

I am not kidding when I tell you doTERRA essential oils have saved my life. And now my sister's Christmas when I oiled her up last week when she had the FLU.

Here are some hot tips for keeping the FLU bug out of your home...

Gargle then mouth swish, then brush and spit 2 tbsp of water with 4-5 drops of On Guard.
Drink at least 32 ounces of water during the day with 1-2 drops of lemon and peppermint per 8 oz of water. Lemon and Peppermint together tastes wonderful. Hot or cold!
Wipe down surfaces in living area's using a spray with 20 drops of On Guard, Lemon or Purify to every 8 oz of water. I keep mine in a metal spray bottle from $1 store!
Massage 2 drops of On Guard on the bottoms of your feet before putting on your socks.
Diffuse On Guard or another essential oil in your most used living area's.
Spritz you bed with an essential oil before bed time. Serenity to sleep - Lemon to stay asleep
Begin a flu protocol the moment you feel any symptoms. I like to put a drop of On Guard on my tongue the minute I start to feel a sore throat.

Beat Candida(yeast) using Doterra Essential Oils!

I'm a bit taken back by my latest discovery. To say I have learn astronomical amounts of knowledge in regards to doTERRA Essential Oils in these past few weeks would be an understatement. I am floored at some of my findings. This one for instance...

I suffer from severe cracked skin around my fingers and fingernails. I've always just assumed it is from washing my hands too many times or the harsh chemicals in the soaps that I use. Guess what I just discovered...

I could possibly have too much yeast (candida) in my body and it is causing my fingers to crack/bleed painful cuts on my heels and my fingers because of fungus. Gross huh?

Under normal circumstances, levels of Candida are controlled by beneficial bacteria. However, if the bacteria-fungus balance is upset, by the use of antibiotics for example, or if the immune system is compromised, an overgrowth of Candida can occur, resulting in infection (Braunwald DE 2001).

As you may have noticed from my latest blog entries, I have become a consultant for an essential oil company doTERRA. My rolls didn't fall! Orange Rolls recipe w Wild Orange

I had to transport my thanksgiving rolls while they were rising. They made its safely in the cold. They're gonna taste so good. Hot yummy rolls are my favorite part of thanksgiving. My orange rolls were made from Rhodes Rolls which I had found a great deal on - price matched them at Walmart.

I let the rolls slightly thaw until you can manipulate the dough then dip them in butter then a mixture of the following:

Wild Orange (doTERRA essential oil) - 1 drop

Orange Zest from 1 orange

1/2 cup of white sugar

They are to die for! You tie them in a knot then place them in muffin tins. Cook as directed on the pkg! As Rachel would say... YUMMO!
