Oh yay. I am so happy to be able to share this new gallery today! I installed this puppy last week for my client, Elizabeth, in her breakfast nook at her Buckhead, Atlanta home. We took images from our shoot at the High Museum. Originally, we shot the images in color, but since Elizabeth is such a classic girl, and wanted these captures to live in a downstairs area, where she could enjoy them for lots of years to come. We both agreed that the gallery should be black and white, a super classic scheme that won’t get old or outdated over time. Elizabeth has a Pottery Barn-esque look going in her living room and breakfast nook, so I thought that one of my favorite framing ideas – white mats with white frames – might work well and blend with her style. We picked 9 images from the shoot together and I processed them with my special high contrast black and white Kate Byars Photography technique. Then, I printed them on my absolutely fabulous, toothy, drink up the ink, fine art paper (I spent a year trying to find this paper… It’s AH-MAZE-ing!). Everything in the matting and framing is archival, so Elizabeth’s art won’t get a case of the ‘yellows’ 10 years from now. If you want to see the actual images, check out my post from yesterday. Or, if you’d like to see a sampling of images from the original the shoot, go here. Enjoy!
