So far, 2012 has been everything I imagined it to be.

Revelations, clarity and ACTION. 

Full of change and decision.   

Which brings me to the subject of this post…

Although it’s been a bit quiet here,  I’ve been actively addressing a mission that has patiently waited for attention while I schooled myself in Internet marketing, blogging and outsourcing the past few years.

Bringing a message to my readers through the development of my spiritual blog  is a mission I share with my business partner and closest friend  Suzen Fontana, a story in itself…and one you can read about soon on:

LiberatingDivineConsciousness.com

More recently the story begins with Stephanie Mulac’s Self  Help Giveaway. I had not prepared anything for it but one day after it opened to members, I suddenly felt a very strong urge to become a contributing member.

Following the prompts of my heart, I was led on a mission to turn my first Public Domain work into my own publication.

The inspiration was loud, clear and definite. “The Door of Everything” by Ruby Nelson. Reformat into ebook form and place in the Giveaway.

If you follow the leads on Amazon you will see that there are a total of 23 reviews…all with 5 stars for this little book. It’s that powerful and will connect you with Source.

However, was this book in the Public Domain? That was the million dollar question…and,

alot to ask of someone who:

• never searched in the Public Domain field before
• has an extreme limited time schedule…it needed to be finished yesterday
• never reformatted a Public Domain works before
• had to create all the pages for Giveaway too!

Thus began my first earnest search for Public Domain works…

all the records I could find online…I even called the Public domain office in Washington D.C. to talk extensively with someone to see if I could get further clues…or a direct answer. No luck…unless you pay them $350 for their own search.

I checked to see if it was listed on Project Gutenberg.org…a site dedicated to listing free Public domain works. Red flags. It was not. Fear was taking hold…lol

I even found a post about this title that mentioned something about copyright infringement. Yikes!

That really made me nervous! More Fear!!

However, I moved forward reformatting the book…creating my version with my cover The urge was that strong.

My logic was telling me that it was public domain because the version I had read 30 plus years ago was originally published by DeVorss and Co., copyright 1963 and my search uncovered  two new publishers on Amazon…both registered in 2010.

There was a clue.

But I wanted confirmation. The last thing I needed was to start 2012 with a copyright lawsuit! Fear again! lol

Because of time constraints, I decided to go directly to source and wrote to both publishers. I honestly did not think I would hear back as they were not obligated to give me that info. They could have looked at me as competition…which is actually the old paradigm of thought…

but rather, living the laws of the new vibration…they cooperated and wrote me back!

The book was in the Public Domain!

These actions by these publishers is a prime example of the new energies permeating the Cosmos, (a blog post for liberatingdivineconsciousness.com ) 

The new energies/paradigm is one of cooperation and collaboration.

With confirmation and peace of mind that I needed, I was off and running reformatting my first Public Domain publication.

I didn’t change any text in the book as the content is meant to go to readers in tact. My only mission was to get it into the hands of those who were ready for this information.

Divine resonance takes care of the rest

My job was to reformat  it for ebook eyes. (my previous education in creating ebooks had prepared me for this!)

In other words…I took paragraphs that would normally have appeared and broke them up into smaller sections.

Eyes that read on the Internet can get very tired and new formatting with more white space was needed. This allows the eyes to rest.

I gave it a more modern font and made it bigger as well as just giving it an overall 21st Century feel. I finished with a greeting from Suzen and I leading back to our soon to be developed blog “liberatingdivineconsciousness.com”

I also made my own ebook cover…which I did in record time…out of need. (My first one mind you!)

I am half way through refomatting another PD works and just the other day was led to a book I was quite surprised was in the PD…and that one will be forthcoming soon.

Our new Internet Digital Publishing Company called “Light On Publishers” was born from this energy…we will reformat inspired books from the Public domain…offering them as Kindle versions and other places on the web…some free, some paid. Any that are offered for a price will have more valuable content added  in the way of our personal commentary.

Lots to learn and execute in the next few months!

It seems I am finally coming into alignment with my purpose and prep work of the last few years.

Revelations, clarity and ACTION.

Although not motivated by this blog…my search into PD works gave me essential, valuable information that I can share with readers of this blog.

The Door of Everything

Finally, my first post in 2012!

The holidays are over, the New Year has begun and it’s time to buckle down to blogging and blogging and more blogging. Then of course there is commenting, and commenting and more blog commenting before it’s all done …and, don’t forget the social bookmarking

I am truly excited writing this post because over Christmas, in fact, between Christmas and New Years I got to meet up with one of my favorite online marketers (this guy is a PLR genius)…who has also become a dear friend.

I’ve been aware for a while now that it would be advantageous for me to meet up with some of the marketers that are in my circle of friends…and even new marketers that I am just getting to know online.

However…because I started my online journey in John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass, many (if not most) of my online friends hale from the UK, Scotland or somewhere very near.

Now, that’s not a problem…until you want to meet these folks in person. Cost a bit to fly over that big pond if you are in the US …and it’s just not practical for those monthly meetings that marketer Randy Smith holds that I am dying to attend.

So, because of the obvious distance and large body of water between us, I had not as of December of 2011 met any online marketing friends or just online marketers in general.

Well, all that changed between Christmas and New Years. Ian Ieba (yep…the PLR super coach) and his lovely wife Evette were vacationing in Orlando, Florida for three sweet weeks and although I live 3 hours away in Cape Coral, Florida, I always go to Tampa to spend Christmas and a few days after Christmas with the grandkids. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Tampa is only 90 miles from where Ian and Evette were and after contacting him, he so graciously agreed to drive the 90 miles to my daughter’s beach condo in Indian Rocks Beach so that we could meet up for a few hours last Wednesday afternoon.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed meeting Ian and Evette and how much fun it was to actually speak and hug another marketer…in person! This was/is very special to me as my first ever meeting with someone I’ve known and admired online…and one that will remain special because of that.

As you can see by the pics, the wind was blowing that day…in fact it was downright cold for Florida…;)…although the sun was out it was probably in the low 70′s with the windchill bringing it down into the 60′s.

After some lovely enlightening conversation with Ian and Evette…and before they left, we took a walk down to the beach for some more shots where the wind really played havoc with us …lol

Even though it actually happened late last year…I consider it my motivating factor to get me off on the right foot this year. This is a grand way to start my New Year in online marketing.

It’s only the beginning. I have others planned and hope to meet up with another marketer in February if all things turn out as they should

And, someday…someday soon I am going to surprise all my UK and Scottish Internet marketing friends and buddies and just pop into one of their monthly meetings. lol

But, that is for another day.

For this meeting I have Ian and Evette to thank. Evette and I realized after talking that we work in the same/similiar offline field of work. So we had plenty to share.

They were lovely people and my family enjoyed meeting them also. Next time they must come for a longer stay on the west coast of Florida.

I am hoping that someday Ian and Evette will move to the US as they plan. It would be our gain for sure and how fun it would be to have someone as smart as Ian so close and Evette to play with  ;)

In the meantime, I will continue to network…and hopefully make more marketing friend connections in the states where it is just a tad bit easier (at least on my present budget) to plan meetings and go to seminars.

Someday in the near future…I hope to be traveling all over the world and meeting marketers from all walks of life.

Until then…I’ll be forever grateful to Ian for taking time from his vacation to meet up with me.  I not only consider Ian a fabulous marketer and brilliant PLR coach…but I now consider Ian and his lovely wife Evette close friends.

Recently I was nominated by Barry Wells to join the 7 Links Blogging Challenge. Although time seems to be at a premium lately (geez when do you ever have enough time!) I am not one to pass up a great challenge and this one offered a chance to stroll through memory lane as I searched for the best prospects for each category listed.

The 7 Links Challenge seems to be circulating the net right now. Barry was originally nominated by Adrienne Smith who was nominated by…etc, etc. …you get the drift. It’s a nice circle of blogging enthusiasts to be surrounded by and I wasn’t going to pass up this opportunity.

Now that I have located my 7 entries into this Link Challenge, I’d like to add how much fun it was to revisit some of my earlier posts. It was interesting to note my voice and the date a post was written to get a feel for where I was at in my own  journey online.

My Interview With Outsourcing Expert Tyrone Shum: Outside of the structured 100 comment challenge, this post was by far my favorite. It was my first interview…live…and my first time in front of the camera. So this was a huge step for me in many directions.

The topic of outsourcing was a very hot topic and people were exploring possibilities. Tyrone guides us through his educational journey into forming a team of freelancers from the Philippines and gives us plenty of information to pursue this avenue ourselves. Even if you don’t want to form a team, Tyrone supplies plenty of valuable outsourcing informtion…first hand information from his experiences.

Well worth the time

I had to hunt a bit for this one as I have not been too confrontational so far blogging However, that may change this next year as I’ve gained a lot of confidence in myself as a blogger now that I’ve finished Sally’s Learn With Sally class. I am much more likely to be as transparent as I can going forth and this could possibly cause some future controversy

The Fever of Fiverr: As the fever for micro jobs was exploding so was the possibility of running into some not so nice and kosher type ads. Once such ad was placed on a site that offered Camtasia for a ridiculous price. Upon further research, the owner removed it saying it had slipped by. At least he was on it right away when I brought it to his attention. Issue solved

The Evolving Micro Job Sites: The reason I chose this over others is that it seemed to help people realize the choices they have out there in micro job sites rather than being limited to Fiverr alone. It gave possibilities to those who wanted to make money by listing ads and helped others who were looking for help themselves.

There is also alot of information included about scripts (and a link to a micro jobs search engine) that can be used to create this micro job sites…for any entrepreneur who wants to take it a step further

Gmail Undo Email Option

Sometimes the simplest things help the most people. I was actually surprised at the comments I got with this post indicating to me that most people who used gmail were not yet aware of it’s ability to retract sent mail within a 30 second period. This feature is priceless in my opinion and I probably use it daily….so for that reason this post gets my Biggest Surprise post

Haha…found a few of these I thought deserved more attention…but most likely I have no one to blame but myself for lack of traffic to these specific posts. Now I am a trained blogger so watch out

Outsourcing Your Private Life Using the Principles of the 4 Hour WorkWeek

I thought this post brought both education and humor to bloggers. There is much controversy about this book by Tim Ferris …and you can choose to go whatever way you wish…however I absolutely enjoyed reading this book and laughed so many times throughout.

We can all use a bit of humor and the chapter included in this blog post was intended to do just that…even though it is a true story

Conquering that fear and knowing that I can speak in front of a camera alone and do it well is huge for me. Now I can move comfortably forward in the world of video.

I so enjoyed my journey back in time…thanks for the opportunity Barry.  I learned a great deal about myself and my blogging in this exercise…more than I had anticipated.

It’s Thanksgiving Day here in the US as we celebrate a day of gratefulness.

I love Thanksgiving because there are always lots of family members as well as friends in for fun, food and laughter and you don’t have to deal with all the presents but you get the same atmosphere.

It just so happens that today Thanksgiving coordinates with the last day of Learn With Sally Coaching…the latest coaching class that I participated in.

Thanksgiving is a holiday that is not celebrated around the world and because of that, I am saddened because most likely I will not be able to attend the last class webinar…which I just know is going to be awesome!

Because of the time change, the webinar will be at 4 in the afternoon for me…just about Thanksgiving dinner time.

However…I do plan on bringing my computer to my mom’s…and I am going to try and check in and out…if we aren’t actually at the table at that time! So Sally…if you see me go in and out of your webinar…that is why

You know, I can’t remember the last time I was actually saddened by the fact that I had finished a class! I can remember in school being jubilent when any class finished and skipping out of school to enjoy the summer fun.

However…this coaching has been different. Because Sally is different than most coaches. There is a level of caring with Sally that you don’t often get  from  coaches and because of this she has attracted some quality members…who I also honor in this blog post.

I’ve never had so much fun and learned so much at the same time as I have in Sally’s coaching…

So, with that said…here is my tribute to Sally and all my very supportive teammates.

This is one super group of marketers and if you’ve been considering joining a blogging coaching class then you won’t find a more supportive teacher or group of marketers than is connected with “Learn With Sally”.

Thanks Sally…thanks for turning me into an Action taker. Because of time contraints over the past few months I have many action steps that I need to take yet that are clearly outlined in the webinars and videos. So, although the class and webinars will be no  more ;(…I still have lots of work to do

For all my classmates…I could have put so much more into this video…there were so many things that were deserving…but with 3 grandkids in my house loving on Grandma I simply can’t take more time than I have to put this together. I hope you understand that I know of each one of your accomplishments and they all deserve praise.

You are all an awesome supportive group that I am so grateful to know and work with!

Woo Hoo…Today we cover….Blog Contests…

It’s no secret that blog contests are all the rage right now and if you are a passionate blogger, most likely you’ve thought about holding your own blog contest. But where do you start?

The first thing you should define before holding your contest is the objective.

For the most part your contest objectives will either be directed towards improving an element that already exists within your blog…something internal to your blog’s success such as active participation from your readers…or

directed towards gaining something from outside your blog…such as new readers…external additions.

Internally focused Blog Contest Objectives:

• Focus on and Reward the readers/followers you already have
• Increase your page views and time spent on blog
• Increase your reader participation

What can I give away???

The best prize you can offer is one that relates to your blog subject matter…you need to appeal to your readers.

And obvious as it seems…it must be valuable. Look, time is of essence to most people and if you are asking for participation in something you are asking for someone’s time…so make it worth their while.

Keep in mind that value does not always equate to monetary value. If you are target on with your gift, money is secondary. The most important thing is that it appeals to your audience…that is the value you are after.

As you can clearly see from the stats I have some work to do on this blog. I need to get the average time on site up as well as getting the bounce rate down. And I can’t wait for the day when I get 1,000 visitors a day rather than 1,000 a month

In retrospect it was probably not the perfect time to have run a traffic contest. I am in the middle of an intense coaching course with Sally Neill….trying to keep up with some incredible bloggers is tough! I’ve started back at my part-time off line job and did not give this contest the time and effort it really deserved.

However I loved making the video and for me right now it’s as much about the process as the results. So, having learned so much from the process…I can consider this a success

I am still working on header/blog design. I’ve had a change of heart and started over…so it will take a bit longer before it’s done. I am very excited as I think that will be the first step to gaining and keeping new customers.

Once the new blog/design is up I am going to do some serious work on driving traffic…go back over Sally’s videos and implement the steps!

If I could somehow manufacture time…the one commodity I never seem to have enough of.

In the meantime, tomorrow is catch up day for me as I want to be target on when Sally opens class again on Thurs. Sally was attacked by a vicious flu that sidelined her for a couple of weeks.

I’ve missed her cheery voice and motivating presence.

Is here (October always signifies fall for me)…and, I am loving it! Fall is my favorite time of year…with color change, crisp scents, tattered leaves…and Halloween!

Many of you already know that I am a student in Sally Neill’s awesome…

“Learn With Sally” coaching…and loving every minute of it…but not everyone knows the other side of my online life, what steals my attention away.

Because there are some valuable tips that I want to pass along, I am going to share a bit of it with you.

As many of you already know, I have been involved in the outsourcing niche for the past 1 1/2 years. Wanting to pass along what I’ve learned along the way, I jumped in full force and I’ve been going since

I knew that experience was going to be the only true voice here.

Although I had come a long way from where I started online and learned so much, the one commodity I never seemed to have enough of was…

time ~~~~

So, I formed a business relationship with Suzen Fontana (also in Sally’s class)…my dearest friend of many, many years and we started off on our outsourcing journey.

I’ve learned a lot in that time…including some very hard lessons about the right way and the wrong way to outsource….and I am going to share of lot of these experiences in a report I’ll be writing soon….

After studying with John Jonus, Jeff Mills and Tyrone Shum, Suzen and I decided to hire a team of Filipino workers because of their ability to communicate in English. (Since Enlish is a second language, each one has a different level of English skills)

We wanted to hire a small team and set up a couple of business models and let them run with it.

Well, I wish I could say it has been easy the last 1 1/2 years, but in reality the road has been strewn with all kinds of roadblocks, pit-falls and quick sand, personality clashes, disappearing workers…and money ;( …along with the enlightening moments.

But, in reality, isn’t that how you learn?

The key is, we never gave up…we have survived…and, now the light is starting to shine through as all the training we’ve put our team (including us) through this last year is starting to produce fruit!

I am not going into detail about what business plans we tried or what has and hasn’t worked for us…but I would like to share a bit about what you can accomplish online with help… outside of what you personally do online.

We intend to set up many “steams of income”…

We hired Jan (yep…I’d like to say it was our first…but we had to go through a few lemons before Jan arrived on the scene)…our incredible freelancer from the Philippines and she has been onboard for 1 1/2 years now.  ;)

She’s much more techie than I am and I’ve used her for the smallest of techie tasks to the largest of techie tasks She’s a permanent freelancer for us.

She is also an exceptional writer and for the most part you cannot distinguish her articles and blog posts from any westerner.

But she had to be trained in different business models and that is what we’ve been working on for the past year.

Early this year we hired Louisa from the Philippines on a permanent basis. She too is an excellent speaker and English writer and much to our delight actually lived in the US from the time she was 5-12…her very formative years. A huge advantage for us as she is very Americanized.

She too needed training…in most everything, but I must say after taking the time to train her (we set Jan to that task)…she has come along fabulously and in fact we have trouble slowing her down!

So, exactly what have these girls been up to and what have we accomplished and why is there light finally and what does this have to do with Halloween??

The light has to do with the money we are starting to make from our niche Halloween blog. After many attempts, we have finally discovered a working formula…yipppeeeeeeee!!

Here’s a little tour of our Halloween blog.The girls have been working very, very hard on this…including Suzen and I am so proud of the results!

By the way…if you really want to see how these girls write…check out our blog halloweentricksandtreats.com. They have done all the writing and posting, adjusted the design, created the pics and columns etc. etc.

All we’ve needed to do is add direction.

Niche blogging can be a very successful business platform online and is a way of creating multiple streams of income once developed and running. In this video I share many tips that we’ve discovered through trial and error finding the right recipe.

I made a few mistakes while making this…the screen capture is a bit too narrow in my opinion (must have had a brain cramp when I positioned it)…but honestly, short of going back and doing it again…I had to choose the lesser of two evils. I decided to save time…not be such a perfectionist…learn a valuable lesson, and move on!

My outsourcing experiences the past 1 1/2 years have taught me more than I realized…and, now it all seems to be flowing into a pattern…a successful one at that!

So, my friends, tenacity does pay off! And, I intend on sharing all my successes as they grow.

I’ve fallen a bit behind in class ;( but not bad…I’ll catch up this week ) And, I’ve got some major blog hopping to catch up on as I see that there have been new posts in the last few days by my favorite bloggers.

In the meantime…for all of you lucky enough to enjoy a true fall and change of color, soak in every drop…

That was so hard!!!

I finally finished my lesson from…not last week but the week before! In actuality it did not take me that long…but I must admit it took many “takes” and “retakes” to get it right.

We completed video mania part 3…and I had to make a video of myself speaking about something. Sally left the door open…this something could have been as simple as reading a poem in front of the camera.

Admittedly this is the part of of the video modules that scared me the most. Heck…I love working in PowerPoint and Camtasia…capturing screen shots and making cool slides….no problem.

but me in the video…..??? Yikes…

Was there any way I could get around this?

Ok…it was time to face a fear…and a big one it was. Not sure why I had this fear…but every time I attempted to record myself I was unhappy with the results.

I am sure after a few have been done I’ll get used to seeing myself on screen and it won’t be so scary.

But Sally wanted this one simple, with the light on our faces…and I…

want to be authentic. I want total transparency with my readers so that they know my human side as well as my “Super Blogger” side so…in front of the camera I went…lights and all!

So, this is me in the buff…haha…

I mean I have no props...nothing to hide behind…even the  room I was in didn’t give you much to look at except me! I was thinking that I needed a great background like Ian has on his videos (he is making an amazing assortment of videos on PLR)…there are other things to look at…kinda interesting I think  But, I had no time to totally change things around so I stayed up in my loft where I normally work and took the video in my exact work spot…sitting at my desk that I use everyday.

Ok…so I did wear a little lip gloss…have you ever noticed how dry your mouth becomes when you are nervous? This lip gloss helped my lips to keep from getting stuck together…lol

This video is of course all about Sally Neill’s newest offering…I figured if I was going to get in front of the camera…it was going to be for something very, very special…

Although Sally is not going to open her live coaching till at least next year…she wanted her coaching material to be available to anyone wishing to supercharge their blogging now….

I am a true believer in Sally as a coach…I do know first hand now

Sally is an incredible marketer and I must tell you that although I thought I knew Sally fairly well…this marketer is brilliant. Seriously…I knew Sally was smart but now that I am being coached by her I realize the depth of the knowledge that this woman possesses. No wonder she is such a huge success.

IanIeba.com- I can’t say enough about Ian’s blog. He has an incredible series on PLR being offered right now. What you will find out for free is amazing. His star is not far behind Barry’s…and if you go to his blog…be sure and call him “Pinkie”…

DawnKaysblog.com- So happy to see another female marketer doing so well! I cannot believe how much progress Dawn has made since she hooked up with Sally. She alone is a great testimonial for Sally. Her star is lighting up as I write this.

NikkiStevens.com- Here’s another strong female marketer who has completely changed up her blog and written some really helpful blog posts along with a pdf since joining Sally’s course. Watch for her star too…

Michelle Lyall Blog-a new blogger who is sharing her coaching story on her blog…watch for her first video to appear one of these days.

Greg Taylor Blog- Another new blogger who will be making waves…check back soon and often.

DeeAnn Rice Blog- DeeAnn has joined us…she already has a great blog that I suspect is going to improve with Sally’s coaching. DeeAnn gives great advice and help in her blog posts.

As you can see, we have people in class on all levels…and everyone helps eveyone else out. It is a very nurturing environment…and I have to tell you that I believe it’s worth it to join Sally’s coaching just to mingle with some of these super charged marketers. Hanging with them on Facebook and other social sites and learning from them as well as Sally is a real bonus.

These guys will get you moving…believe me.

Sally is an action taker and boy does she create action takers!

Sooooo…….

As I sit here contemplating what type of Power Point video that I want to create to complete my lesson for this week in “Learn With Sally”….

it dawned on me that it was time to run my September contest (I am thinking of running one every month)…

with that in mind…and the need to conserve time….

I decided to make a Power Point video about my new blog contest. So, bare with me as I give you the details of my September Crazy Contest…

Curious as I am, I researched a bit on blog contests and it seems they are a very hot ticket right now

Not surprising considering blogging itself is really in it’s infancy and just starting to take off with the general population.

So, not only have I created another contest, I’ve made a video detailing the particulars. I needed video practice and this was a perfect opportunity. You have to make use of every minute these days.

I’ve been working my butt off trying to catch up at home and with Sally’s coaching. I guess that’s the price you pay for vacationing …well worth it

There’s no fooling around with Sally…she’s an ~action~ taker and boy is she creating ~action takers!~

Sooooo…I am honing my video skills. Something I’ve had on the back burner for….well, you don’t want to know for how long….

Sally has no problem kicking butts and I for one am a bit scared to fall behind! Ha ha…seriously…she has a gentle hand too

I am finally tackling issues I’ve been putting off and it feels sooooooooo gooooooood to finally be making significant progress again!

So, without further adoooooo……

Here’s the video that’s stolen my attention, kept me up at night, and taxed my patience for a couple of days!

In all honesty…I love doing them…I’ve found a creative outlet that I know I will be capitalizing on. Funny how new things bring out hidden passions…

There are so many excellent students in “Learn With Sally”…I am like a runner who runs marathons…they don’t want to run with the slow ones…they want to run with someone who challenges them…

and I feel the same way…so, thank you to my fellow classmates…you guys are driving me hard! lol

As most of you know I am on vacation right now…off in Colorado for family visits and mountain retreats

Although I am not due to return until the 31st of the month, I thought it would be fun to share some pictures from my camping trip to the Gore Mountain Range located within the Colorado Rockies. I am a hiker at heart.

At first I thought it might be fun to create a “flip book” from my assortment of pics (flip books read just like regular books and would make great online picture albums)…but then it suddenly dawned on me that this was a great opportunity to practice my Camtasia and Power Point skills by creating a video presentation with my camping pictures.

This would accomplish a few things…

• Allow me to share more about myself and give others a window into different facets of my life and passions.
• Put in valuable time practicing on tools…Camtasia Studio 7 and Power Point that will contribute considerably to my presence and ability to share and teach online.
• Pushed me to learn how to add my choice of audio mp3 files into Camtasia…a completely new skill for me.
• Keep up with “Learn With Sally”…I know they entered into the first video module this past Thursday and although I do not yet know exactly what the lesson covers…at least I am practicing video and it can only help me.

“Use your tools”…any way…as many times a day that you can for whatever application might present itself.

After working online for a few years now I can…without hestation tell you that it is all about practicing and honing your skills…and that includes becoming adept at using your tools.

The only way to become an expert is to be an expert.

It didn’t matter that I was not creating an IM teaching video in this instance. The point is…I had a task at hand and by joining my desire to create a picture presentation with my need to practice and hone my video skills I was able to use my time very wisely and accomplish two things with one stone.

After making the slides in Power Point and importing them to Camtasia, I originally used music files that Camtasia supplies with their software to add background flavor. And, it worked.

But, it was generic and further more, there was a song “Rocky Mountain High” by John Denver..that was absolutely perfect for this application…but…mmmmmm….how do I get it into Camtasia so that I can add it to the timeline and create the video?

I had no idea. I thought it would be as easy as importing the mp3 file, adding it to the timeline and turning it all into an mp4.

Wrong. Of course it was not that easy.

So, I headed over to YouTube to find my way. After a few videos and a couple of tries, I accomplished what I set out to do and the music now matches the video. (I will be teaching what and how I learned to do this in a future blog post…so stay tuned)

I am a very “happy camper”…

I’ll be catching up with class, webinars, modules etc. when I arrive home later this week. And, I must apologize that I will not be able to do any serious blog hopping until then also.

In the meantime, I do hope that you enjoy this little video presentation that I created for you. I have a few camping stories too that I’ll share in the next post.

I say again…“use your tools” whenever the opportunity presents itself…make wise use of all your time and success will come faster…
