<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Welcome to my blog!  If you're following the <a href="http://www.cartville.com/app/?af=1293259" target="_self">SUDSOL </a>Blog Tour you have arrived from <a href="http://handstampedfromthe heart.blogspot.com" target="_blank" title="Christyne Richardson's">Christyne Richardson's Blog.</a>  </p>
<p>Are you a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and like me (I need all the help I can get), <a href="http://www.cartville.com/app/?af=1293259" target="_self">SUDSOL </a>is the place to be!  I joined SUDSOL shortly after I became a demonstrator in 2002.  Even if you have a working Upline, SUDSOL is a wonderful place to get creative ideas, business help and also have a supportive group of Demonstrators cheering you on.  SUDSOL offers a FREE 2 week trial membership and I can't recommend it enough. Click the blinking SUDSOL icon on the right side of my blog to sign-up for your <a href="http://www.cartville.com/app/?af=1293259" target="_self">FREE trial</a>.</p>
<p>I have several projects to share with you.  One of my favorite accessories in the Occasions Mini are the Beveled Windowpanes on page 28.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c833e8f6970c-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="EasterBlossomflatwm" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330148c833e8f6970c" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c833e8f6970c-320wi" title="EasterBlossomflatwm" /></a></p>
<p>This card uses the Easter Blossom Stamp Set, Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper and of course, the largest Beveled Windowpane.</p>
<p>The base of the card is Very Vanilla Card Stock (4 1/4" x 8 1/2"), folded in half.</p>
<p>The Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper (2 1/4" x 5 1/2") is punched using the Scallop Border Punch.</p>
<p>Stamp the egg in Rose Red on a piece of 1" x 1 3/8"  Very Vanilla Card Stock.  You need to wait a few minutes to be sure the ink is dry before moving on to the next step.</p>
<p>When the egg piece is dry, place a little bit of Crystal Effects on the back side of the Beveled Windowpane, just in the middle and spread this out to cover the inside area.  Now attach the stamped Egg piece, egg side to the crystal effect.  Be sure there are no air bubbles.  Wait until dry.  If you used just a little bit, about 10 minutes.</p>
<p>Now you can adhere the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper to the back with just a small amount of Crystal Effects on the back of the Egg piece.</p>
<p>I then used the Always Artichoke Seam Binding to attach the Beveled Windowpane to the front of the card.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330147e22ac61d970b-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="EasterBlossomwindowcloseup" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330147e22ac61d970b" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330147e22ac61d970b-320wi" title="EasterBlossomwindowcloseup" /></a></p>
<p>Here's a close up.  Loop the seam binding around the card front.  I secured the loose ends on the backside and covered it with another piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock.  To make it easier to place, I put Mini Glue Dots on the back of the Beveled Windowpane, placed it exactly where I wanted it and then tied the seam binding in place.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c833fd08970c-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="EasterBlossomknotwm" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330148c833fd08970c" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c833fd08970c-320wi" title="EasterBlossomknotwm" /></a></p>
<p>If you don't want to mess with the double row of seam binding and the extra piece of card stock for the inside, you can just tie the seam binding in a knot on the front of the card.</p>
<p>Here's a closer look.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330147e22acb80970b-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="EasterBlossomknotcloseup" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330147e22acb80970b" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330147e22acb80970b-320wi" title="EasterBlossomknotcloseup" /></a></p>
<p>Another idea for the Easter Blossom Stamp Set is very easy.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330147e22ad121970b-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="EasterBlossomswm" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330147e22ad121970b" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330147e22ad121970b-320wi" title="EasterBlossomswm" /></a></p>
<p>Can you tell that the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper is my favorite right now?  LOL.</p>
<p><strong>Stamp Set:  </strong>Easter Blossoms</p>
<p><strong>Not Quite Navy Card Stock:  </strong>5 1/2" x 8 1/2" - folded, 2 1/4" x 1 1/4", 3 3/4" square - cut large Scallop Circle  using the Scallop Circle #2 Die Cut</p>
<p><strong>Baja Breeze Card Stock:  </strong>3 1/2" square - cut 3" Circle Die Cut</p>
<p><strong>Very Vanilla Card Stock:  </strong>2" x 1"</p>
<p><strong>Springtime Vintage DSP:  </strong>4" x 5 1/4"</p>
<p><strong>Ink:  Classic </strong>Not Quite Navy </p>
<p><strong>Accessories:  </strong>Scallop Circle #2 Die Cut, 3" Circle Die Cut, Big Shot, 6 1/2" - Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stamp-A-Ma Jig, Snail</p>
<p>I used the Stamp-A-Ma Jig to stamp the girl and the words.  Layer everything and attach using snail.</p>
<p>Before you secure the DSP to the front of the card, secure the Baja Breeze Seam Binding to the DSP.</p>
<p>Now you can attach the stamped and layered words to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c834346d970c-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="EasterBlossomcloseupwm" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330148c834346d970c" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c834346d970c-320wi" title="EasterBlossomcloseupwm" /></a></p>
<p>I am always looking for a quick little gift to give.  You know, a thank you to the Doctor's Receptionist that got me into see the Doctor the same day I called.  The hardest part about making this is having the Kit Kats on hand!  I am sooo tempted to eat them.  Okay, I eat them and have to buy more.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c83438e6970c-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Candywrapper" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330148c83438e6970c" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c83438e6970c-320wi" title="Candywrapper" /></a> <br /><br />All you need to make this Candy Wrapper is your favorite Designer Series Paper, Ribbon and something to decorate the front with.  Oh and a Kit Kat bar.</p>
<p>Take a piece of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.  I used the Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper &amp; Quick Accents Pack that is available as a Sale-A-Bration Free Product.</p>
<p>Wrap the paper around the Kit Kat bar and leave the same amount of paper on either end. Secure with snail.</p>
<p>Insert one end into the Crimper and crimp the end.  You just turn the knob until the crimper hits the candy bar.  Do the other end too.  Honest, it crimps the ends closed and they are very secured.</p>
<p>I added approximately 12" of 5/8" wide Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon and tied it into a bow.</p>
<p>Stamp the words in Old Olive Ink onto the Scallop Circle Piece.  The words are from the Level 1 Hostess Set, Silhouette Sentiments.</p>
<p>Place the stamped Scallop Circle Piece onto the front of the candy bar wrapper and add the flower piece from the Quick Accents Pack.</p>
<p>Sure hope you liked my projects.  If you did, join SUDSOL!  After you activate your membership you can view my gallery, <a href="http://www.sudsol.org/members/gallery/member.php?uid=651&amp;protype=1" target="_self">Paper Mechanic</a>.</p>
<p>Again, thank you so much for visiting.  </p>
<p>I have a pack of the Beveled Windowpanes that could be yours when you leave a comment on this post.  I will pick a winner on Thursday, February 3.</p>
<p>Now onward to the next stop!</p>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>I really love the Decor Elements.  They are very easy to install and remove.  They are also very affordable.</p>
<p>Our desk top computer is on it's last legs so we decided to make the jump to a Mac.  I am now the proud owner of a MacBook Pro Laptop.  All I can say is WOW!!!!  What in the world took so long for us to make the move.</p>
<p>And you know, there are millions of these laptops and I wanted to be sure that mine was special so this is what I did.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c7bf1a83970c-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="DSCF0201" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330148c7bf1a83970c" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c7bf1a83970c-320wi" title="DSCF0201" /></a></p>
<p>Now how cool is that!  I've been to several classes at the Apple Store and I can honestly say mine is the only one like this!  Even the employees at the store have commented on the front of my laptop and they were positive comments too.</p>
<p>I'm again getting ready for classes and for the Sudsol Blog Tour.  I'll be posting new things before the tour so keep on coming back.</p></div>

<p>Love those little trees from the Merry Details Sizzlet.  The Designer Series Paper used was Candy Cane Christmas and Woodland Walk.</p>
<p>The back of the calendar was just a plain piece of Night of Navy Card Stock with my information stamped on it.</p>
<p>I also did what I call an Asian Calendar one.  All the months used Washi Paper and all sorts of Asian images.</p>
<p>Right in the middle of my Asian Classes.  Had a class Wednesday night and will have another on Friday.  I'll share the projects soon.</p>
<p>Thanks for stopping by and you have a great weekend!</p></div>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>I know, where have I been.  Actually pretty busy.  I did the annual 3 Day Mini Convention AND the One Day Mini Convention too.  Too much has happened since I last posted (like 9 months....and no, I didn't have any additions to our family) so I'm just gonna' start new.</p>
<p>Every year I do a Coaster Calendar Class and last year was no different.  So here's a look at the cover.  I "borrowed" the idea from my friend, Gretchen Barron.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c7460bc7970c-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Cover" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330148c7460bc7970c" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330148c7460bc7970c-320wi" title="Cover" /></a> <br />This uses the stamp set, Just Believe and Sizzix Timeless Type Jr Alphabets for the numbers.  Love the Basic Pearl Jewels and the Night of Navy Taffeta ribbon.  The background was done with sponges and More Mustard, Garden Green, Marina Mist and Perfect Plum stamp pads.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330147e13ca527970b-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="January" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f00966588330147e13ca527970b" src="http://www.kathysstampingniche.com/.a/6a00e54f00966588330147e13ca527970b-320wi" title="January" /></a> <br />January used the snow paper from the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The snowflakes were made from the Sizzix Northern frost Decorative Strip.  I don't think you can tell, but the calendar is popped out with Stampin' Dimensionals.</p>
<p>I will share the rest of the months soon.  Thank you for visiting. I will be updating all the sidebars this week.  As soon as I learn how.  LOL.  Very rusty!!!</p></div>
