Yesterday I got to do photos of Lauri and Mikey’s brand new baby girl, Finley. She is just the sweetest little baby and the only bad part about the shoot was having to put her down for the photos. I could have cuddled her all day. These are just a few that I promised Lauri I’d share. Love her!

I just wanted to share a few photos from Sam and Brad’s beautiful and FUN wedding yesterday.

Had to include this one too…Shel Silverstein’s The Giving Tree was their guest sign in book. I love this little guy catching their rings.

Sam and Brad, it was a pleasure to photograph their big day and I hope they have an amazing time in Italy and Greece!

Last night, I had such a fun time shooting Lauri and Mikey’s maternity session! Lauri is an amazing photographer herself and we’ve been great friends since college, so it’s always fun to get her on the other side of the camera. We just chatted and shot and poor Mikey had to suffer through a session quite a bit longer than I’d promised (thanks for being a good sport Mikey!).

These two could not be more in love or more adorable together and they are going to be the greatest parents. Finley is such a lucky girl to have them and I soooo cannot wait to meet her. These are just a couple of my favorites…I’ll definitely be sharing more before long. I also have a suspicion that Miss Finley will be making an appearance on this blog from time to time.

I have known Ashley since we were kids. I love her and her family, so it was an honor to do Gavin’s first photoshoot. He is such a sweet, mellow little guy and made my job incredibly easy. And come on…how adorable is he? I also think I’ll have to do a whole blog post of some of our “out-takes” of the photos with Gavin and big brother Gary. He is the boy of a million faces and we got to see them all.

A little bit of Fall on a Spring day.

I loved photographing this family back in October. I think we got the perfect day…great light and beautiful fall colors. These kids had soooo much energy and pretty much took off at a run right from the start…which I loved. All the laughing and snuggling and energy in these photos makes me oh so happy.

I looooved Ava’s retro rocking horse. Do you think she does too?

When we got back to the house and I was getting ready to head out, Ava invited me upstairs to have a tour of her playroom. I think these photos might be my favorite.

It’s been far too long since I’ve done a proper post and I promise to do one soon! But for right now, I thought I’d share these two photos from Michelle & James’ beautiful wedding. Michelle is for sure working it in this first one. Hot! And aren’t Christmas time weddings wonderful? More soon…

Oh, and another reason for my busy October…a new puppy!!!! Her name is Vi and boy have I forgotten what it’s like to have a new puppy! I feel like every two seconds I’m getting up to see what she’s gotten into or where she’s gone. She is sweet though and the other animals have all really warmed up to her (Mac refused to sit anywhere near her for the first week. haha!). I promise that I will try to do a proper photo session of her soon (how embarrassing that I only have this iphone photo for now!).

It was my pleasure to photograph Heather and Chris’ beautiful wedding back in August. I knew from the first time I met Heather that we were going to be a good fit. Then when I met Chris in May when we shot their engagement session, I was even more sure that their wedding was going to be not just beautiful, but really fun to shoot. I was not disappointed.

Lots of getting ready details.

At our first meeting, Heather mentioned that they had found her grandmother’s wedding dress in an old cedar chest, right around the time that she was looking for her own wedding dress. Her grandmother had passed away and they had been cleaning up her house. She had thought about altering it to wear for her wedding, but then decided to leave it as it was. She suggested that if we’d have time, she would like to possibly get some photos of her in her grandmother’s dress. I was so glad that we did have time to do this. It fit her just perfectly and Heather looked gorgeous in both dresses.

Since Heather and Chris decided to see each other before the ceremony, we had the opportunity to explore the grounds of Heather’s family farm, which was awesome. When Heather told me about photo location options, she rattled off a list of options that left me salivating. I can’t imagine if we hadn’t had this time.

We shot their first look photo at Heather’s childhood tree house. It was the perfect location for such a special moment.

Next we headed over to her grandmother’s porch which was full of amazing old antiques.

The list of location choices included a junkyard…a proper junkyard full of old bus parts! Heather’s grandfather was one of the first school bus drivers in the area and wound up collecting old buses for parts. AMAZING! I think they both look so cool here.

The ceremony and reception were at the Valley Green Inn and it was beautiful.
