Guess what... My mom had a baby boy! After 14 years I have a brother! His name is Charlie and he weighed 8 lbs. My sisters and I all say he looks like our dad. :)

Hi everyone!

It has been really nice outside lately, and I just started a garden, so I haven't been scraping as much. I have been working on an album for my aunt who's having a baby soon, though. I'll be sure to post some pics of it when I'm done. :)

New blog design!

Looks a little different, huh? I decided to completely redesign by blog. I wasn't too fond of all the dark colors and busyness. I wanted to go with something more open and simple. You can find everything so much quicker. I especially like how the sides of my videos aren't cut off by the narrow space anymore. I also added a "Contact Me" button you can click on to send me private messages. And as you might have noticed, I "discarded" the playlist. It was getting too annoying and distracting.

If you have any suggestions on how I can further improve my blog, make sure to tell me!

New Challenge Series - Same Sketch, Different Look

I'm starting a new challenge series on my blog called Same Sketch, Different Look (or SSDL). Here's how it works:

Every month I'll draw a new sketch and make two cards or scrapbook pages that correspond with it.

You make a project using the same sketch.

Upload it to a blog or web site, and post the link in the comments.

On the last of the month, I will choose a winner using Random.org.

Hi everyone!

I just came back from Washington, D.C. yesterday. I went with my aunt, uncle, sister, and three cousins. It was soooooo fun! I'll be making a D.C. scrapbook soon, and I'll show some of the pages. It might not be for a little while though, because I have lots of other albums and things I should finish first.

Having Problems Uploading

I can't seem to find out what's wrong, but for some reason YouTube won't let me put up my videos. :( I'll try to get them up a soon as I can, but for now we'll just have to wait.

My 5 Top Tools

Hi everyone!

This is a list of the five tools I couldn't live without. I thought this might be helpful for beginning crafters, and people who are looking for some recommended tools. :)

1. Fiskars 12 x12 Self Healing Cutting Mat. This mat is always on my crafting table. I've had it for over a year, and I don't think I'll ever have to get a new one.

2. Cricut Paper Trimmer. I really like this trimmer because it's light weight, small, and inexpensive. I have cut every piece of paper since I started crafting with this trimmer. (I'll have a video about it soon)

3. Martha Stewart Bone Folder. This I also got when I first started crafting. I like it because you can use both ends for scoring.

4. Tombo Mono Permanent Adhesive. This is the best tape runner I've found, and it works really well. It's pretty inexpensive too.

5. Making Memories Paper Piercer. I use it for everything, from pushing little things into place, to taking out stitches when I'm sewing.

Those are my 5 top tools, but I have to add one more thing, because I use it just as much as any of my tools. It's the Tote-Ally Cool Tote 2. I have everything I need to use all the time in it (trimmer, sanding block, ruler, pens), and I sit it right in front of me on my table, so I can grab things quickly. You can also travel with it.

So what are your favorite tools? I'd love to know! :)

I'm sorry there hasn't really been any new posts or videos lately, I've been really busy because I just started school again, and it has been great weather outside all week. I'll try to post something by the weekend, but no promises. I do want to do a review on the new paper trimmer I got yesterday, and a few more "Quick Tip" videos. If you have any suggestions for video ideas, I'd love to hear them! And I'm also going to post more things on Etsy, so look for those!

Hi guys, I just finished making this really pretty mirror. Some of our relatives just came back from Florida, and brought my sister and I back blank mirrors and a bag of shells to decorate them with. I really like how mine turned out. Here are the before and after pics I took:

Hi Everyone! I'm starting a contest on my blog and at my YouTube channel(KatiesCraftingCorner). What I'm doing, is trying to come up with a neat name for some videos I'm going to post on YouTube. These videos will be on how to create great looking paper crafts, but using stuff you would find in a different part of the craft store (such as yarn or fabric). I'll probably post them once a week. So if you know what I should name these videos, just tell me by commenting either at YouTube, or here at my blog. The name I like best will be what this group of videos will be called forever!
