If you had told me when Linsday and Tom booked their October wedding with me that we would end up with 4 inches of snow I would have called you crazy! Sure enough though it happened! Despite unfavorable conditions, everyone had a smile on their face and we managed to get some amazing shots that day! Here are a few sneak peeks of their winter (ah hem fall) wonderland wedding. Lexy & Rob – Engagement Session – Valley Forge Park – 6.5.11

Lexy & Rob live just around the corner from Valley Forge National Park so it seemed like the perfect spot to do their engagement photos! We started at one of my favorite spots way in the back of the park, a white barn that sits right next to a large open field. I have done numerous shoots in this area and nature wins out every time! Normally the swallows that live in the barn poop on my head however this time it was Lexy and Rob who lost out on the battle with mother nature. You can’t see it in the photos but they had thousands of gnats swarming their heads, flying up their noses and in their ears. They were definitely troopers! Thank you for the entertainment! Bug sandwiches are now complimentary with all engagement shoots!

Justine & Nate – Bridal Fashion – Cape May, NJ – 6.13.2011

Justine and Nate will be getting married Labor Day weekend in the Philadelphia area and like many couples they wanted to be able to capture a variety of photos of just the two of them on their big day, but due to time constraints or location a fancy lengthy photo shoot is not an option. They opted to do a bridal fashion shoot down in Cape May, NJ which allowed them to dress up and get those additional photos at a location away from their wedding site. Normally these shoots are done after the wedding but they decided to do this one before so they could use the photos as a guest signature book at their reception. Guest signature books with photos from your engagement shoot (or bridal fashion shoot) are the perfect addition to your wedding day, and can be displayed for years to come in your new home together. Just a disclaimer for those who are curious which I am sure is everyone, this is not Justine’s actual wedding dress nor is this what Nate will be wearing either. The dress was bought on clearance just for the shoot and the bouquet was handmade by yours truely with flowers bought from Cape Winds Florist. Her hair and makeup however were done by the Accent on Beauty Salon. Here is a sneak peek from their shoot with more photos to follow. Lindsay & Tom – Engagement Session – Philadelphia, Pa – 5.21.11

Lindsay, Tom, Gibby and I met up in Logan Square Park in Philadelphia, PA for their engagement session. We had plans to climb in the fountain but wanted to wait for some of the crowds and swimmers to clear out so we took a walk through Love Park down to one of my favorite plaza’s in the city. It doesn’t have a name but is filled with jumbo sized game pieces from Monopoly, Bingo, Sorry and Domino’s. You can’t help but act like a big kid when you are there.

Keeping up with the theme of places you can act like a big kid we headed back down to Logan Square Park and across the street to the steps of the Franklin Institute. While I was shooting Lindsay and Tom up on the steps, Gibby was quite the tourist attraction himself having his picture taken by almost every person who passed by.

And finally no trip to Logan Square Park in summer is complete without a dip in the fountain. Gibby even got in on the swimming action.

Thank you Lindsay and Tom for the great day in the city! I am looking forward to shooting your wedding later this year!

Krissie & Pete – Rivercrest Golf Club – 8.14.10

Krissie & Pete got married at the beautiful Rivercrest Golf Club in Phoenixville, Pa. The staff was amazing to work with making sure the day ran smoothly and the grounds there are gorgeous! The girls got ready in the bridal suite at Rivercrest while the guys got ready over at the Crown Plaza Hotel in King of Prussia. A big thanks to Kelly for helping with that coverage!

Krissie had the charms from her grandmothers necklaces wrapped around her bouquet that she carried down the aisle.

As usual Reverend Graham Horn did a fabulous job with the ceremony which was held on the side patio next to the pool.

After the ceremony we took the bridal party out to the side lawn to get a few shots in before it was time to head in for the reception. The grounds of the golf course along with the cloudy sky were a perfect backdrop.

Matlack Florist out of West Chester created these beautiful floral arrangements, Synergetic Sounds took care of the reception lighting and DiNardo Brothers kept the guests out on the dance floor dancing the night away.

We couldn’t resist heading outside to do some night shots next to the pool. This one turned out to be my favorite!

Cynthia & Zach – Engagement Session – Philadelphia – 9.11.10

Cynthia and Zach wanted to stay around their home town of Philadelphia for their engagement session and after quite a few weather related reschedule’s we finally got a nice sunny afternoon. We wanted to get a few different looks all in one session so they bravely made a few wardrobe changes street side along the way. We started off with a casual look along Kings Oak Lane checking out some of the little areas behind the stores and homes in that area.

After a quick change into some formal wear we made our way down to the South Street Bridge.

And of course no photo shoot in Philadelphia in September is complete without some Phillies gear.

Jessie & Michael – Engagement Session – Peace Valley Park – 5.9.10

Now that it is winter and things have slowed down a bit, I finally have the time to go back and post a few sessions from earlier this year. These are from Jessie & Michael’s engagement session at Peace Valley Park back in May. They wanted to do some shots with their dogs which can be a bit challenging as dogs have a mind of their own but I LOVE how these turned out! I have never been to that section of the park before but the field of yellow flowers against the bright blue sky was amazing! I can’t wait to go back there again in the spring.

Hello everyone,

The studio will be closed from November 21st through November 28th as I will be leaving for Paris tonight to celebrate the end of my 20’s in style! I will have access to email so if you need anything you can still contact me. If you do not have my email address, please send me a note through the contact form on my website.

Anyone who still needs to order prints for Christmas, December 10th is the deadline to guarantee your order will be ready before then. If you submit your order after the 10th it will still be processed but I can’t promise anything. The labs are extremely busy this time of year and orders take longer than normal.

Everyone have a great Thanksgiving and be sure to check back for pictures from my trip in the next few weeks!
