Hi there shoppers! How are you today? As usual I have been shopping around online and came across a new batch of goodies for you to drool over.

I really want the camera bag! How cute is it? I bought a fancy new camera a couple of weeks ago but am yet to purchase a bag for it. I think this one should do the trick?

I’m in love with the bone inlay photo frame. Just perfect!

I have also been gifted the perfumed necklace – Number 8. Now, isn’t this the coolest thing you’ve even seen? I am so impressed with it. You get these little designer perfume rocks which go inside the necklace!! What about that hey?? The rocks last for ages, and if you take the rock out and pop it back in it’s case when you aren’t wearing the necklace then they last longer. I think this is THE perfect gift for the person who has everything. There are lots of designs and scents to choose from too.

Truly, I love my bathrooms. I had the vanities custom made (to match my kitchen and laundry), and they are perfect. The ensuite bathroom is identical but smaller. The mirrors go all the way to the ceiling. The tops are Osprey Caesar Stone and I love the trough-style sinks. It’s pretty basic, but I didn’t want anything over the top. I also didn’t want any colour.

BUT…

I stuffed up with the taps! Well, the spouts. I love the flick handles, but the spouts aren’t big enough and only just reach in to the sinks. Why didn’t someone (namely the plumbing shop!) say something at time of purchase?? Argh.

Anyway, of course it can be easily fixed and I can attach bigger spouts, but it all costs $$…

I have one of those 3-way bathrooms. In the opposite room is the bath and shower and the toilet is separate.

If you could have a new bathroom what is a must-have for you?

Do you have a big picture? You know, like a plan? And even a back-up plan?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I’ve been trying to block out the noise and think about direction and purpose. We all have to have direction and purpose… Going through the motions just won’t cut it.

Are you good at saying NO? I am pretty good at it. It doesn’t always work in my favour though. Sometimes I kick myself for saying no, and other times I am happy I did it. I think it’s all about the choice. You need to have the choice!

I am big on writing my goals down. I like to revisit them, cross things off and add new things. It’s a little private list and I never share it with anyone. I don’t even show my husband!

Today I am going to re-evaluate my lists and goals and I am going to spend some time thinking about the big picture.

Hello there!

Today I am going to show you a wall I created in my son’s bedroom. I am not at all going to take the credit for this creativity and the originality, because I copied this idea straight from Simone at Honey & Fizz! I loved it when I saw it a few month ago and from that day onwards I was on the hunt for some clipboards! Finally I found them at Officeworks and we already had the camping and 4W driving magazine. My child is obsessed with camping and fishing!

I attached them all with nails. Yes, I know, some people shudder at the thought of all of those nails, but they don’t worry me at all! They are easily fixed if I want to take them down.

And just for fun, I made a little 60 second video to show you the mess I made whilst doing it

Hi there! I’ve been a bit absent these past few weeks… I’ve just been going through the motions of life… you know how it is?

Last night I ordered the worst take-away of my life. I have never ordered takeaway online and I think I have ordered pizza take-away like twice. So I did it again last night. Now I know why I don’t do it. It was the worst rubbish ever. And my kids hated it. I thought I’d make life easy and order from Pizza Hut online and we took a drive down to pick it up. We all complained. It was so yucky and obviously we won’t be doing that again.

Today I am getting my hair done. I love it when this day rolls around. My bestie does my hair and she is desperate to change it and I am like a stubborn mule. New hair styles are great in theory and look great for the day, but in reality, I barely leave the house these days, so I am never going to style it properly. It’s not that I can’t style it properly, it’s just that when you don’t go to work to face people daily, I don’t feel the need to fluff it up. I like to be able to pull it back and get on with my day. She wanted me to have a side fringe thing, which would look great I am sure, but I can guarantee I’d hate that fringe and end up putting a bobby pin it every day!

Ford has been switching my cars around lately. I’m cool with that! At the moment we have a Mondeo wagon to burn around town in. It’s very swish. I never thought I’d be a wagon kinda girl, but I am loving it sick. We just handed the Ranger Wildtrak back. My boys found that hard to part with. My neighbours think I work at our local Ford dealership and I just bring demo cars home now and then! Ha!

So, where are we up to on the home front? I am patiently still waiting for my shutters to arrive. Should be any day! We bought 12 roses for the front of the house across the verandah. That’s a job for tomorrow. I can’t wait to see them flourish.

I think the winter blues have been setting in here. I can’t seem to get excited about anything and I’d love some sunshine. Maybe it’s time for me to take a break from some stuff? Or move north?

But on another cool note, something fun has come my way… my builder (we’ve just built this Facebook page) and I are scheming stuff and I am going to be working with him and his clients. I think that’s what I have always wanted to do. Help people build houses (I was a new homes sales consultant once with a big project builder and it was a great job). Wagga’s houses are all looking the same. If you live here, you’ll agree? I wished I’d done a draughtsman course. I suppose it’s not too late is it? Stay tuned for this as I think my life direction needs a little change.

Kidspot is having a bit of fun over here today. So, the idea is to share a truth about being a Mum. Oh, I had hundreds! I also had myself giggling too. I have 3 boys, so my house is pretty wild. For example, yesterday I went to Albury for the day to see my family and the kids (plus husband) spent the entire day building a cubby house in the bushland near our house. I think my husband enjoyed it more than the kids! I know we were given 3 boys for a reason! He had the ute full of tools and tarps and pallets. The neighbours were all involved and now the kids have THE best cubby in Wagga. The truth is… I returned home to so much mud and grass that my washing machine will be going for the entire day today! I am groaning at the idea. But I wouldn’t have it any other way…

It’s the long weekend so do you have anything exciting planned? We decided not to go away this weekend, but rather stay here and potter around the house. It’s been just over 2 months since we moved in and I still have tonnes of half unpacked boxes in the garage. It’s time to sort through them. Some are going in to storage (in our roof or down to my husband’s factory) and others will be donated or thrown in the back of the ute to make their way to the tip.

I am actually really excited. Lame I know. I love culling things! I’ve been feeling a little flat this week, so a good clean up will get my frame of mind back in order. Time to sort out the junk in my life.

My kids have all got friends coming and going this weekend, so it will be a busy (but fun) weekend. I hope to get lots done!
