Parasola sp., An Umbrella Mushroom

Except found some species of fungi in natural habitat, like the unknown Pleurotaceae (see Unknown Mushroom) and an edible species Auricularia auricula (see Auricularia auricula (The Jelly Ear) , i also found another species. It seems one of the Psathyrellaceae family.

The body is look like an umbrella. The stem is long enough, but it's small and thin.
The cap's diameter about 2 and the length about 6cm. Almost the entire body is white or gray, and it has the black spores that patch in the gill. I think i have done to identified this species, and i got it is the Parasola sp.

Unknown Mushroom

I found a strange fungi around my home. I never saw it before, and it is not familiar too. I try to identified it and first i want to describe what it look like. The fungi reveals as a fruit body, so it is one of the mushrooms species. It lives in ground and make a colony. The body is yellowish and there are the dark spots on the top side, and forms such a basin. The cap diameter is about 9cm, and its stem about 7cm. There are about 5 fruiting body in one colony.

I looking for the references by browsing in Internet, and i got the closest identified, i guess that it is Pleurotaceae family. I hope i found the detail name and information about this mushroom.

Cross The River by Traditional Boat

Bengawan solo, the longest river in java, Indonesia. It is flowing across Central java (Solo, Sragen, etc) into East java (Bojonegoro, Tuban, Lamongan, Gresik). For me, and may be for somebody who are not close to such a big river, Bengawan solo has a long-width.

For several times before, i just passed away through the bridge above the river in Central java, and i didn't found something special around. There is only a huge debit of water that flowing. but, when i visited Bojonegoro, i found something different there. A fact that people in this area still using a boat to cross the river. It is not completely traditional boat they use, it moving by fuel motor. There is only one boat to bring people toward the land side and bring them back.

I saw students gone and back using that boat, not only within their own body, they also bring their bicycle too. The river separates two cities, and it needs much more time and cost to reach the closest bridge. Therefore, people choose this transportation, even it is not really safe enough for them. Moreover my friend who stay in Tuban, east java, told me that people in his area are still using this kind of transportation too.

let me help you, if you answer it is the Estrildidae family, you doing closer. Then if the final answer is Lonchura genus, you are right. Here they are, trapped in the mobile cage. So, the next question, what are they for inside?

Lonchura genus, such as Lonchura leucogastroides (javan munia; Indonesia : Bondol jawa), Lonchura punctulata (spotted munia; Indonesia : Bondol peking), and Lonchura maja (White-headed munia; Indonesia: Bondol haji) are the paddy feeder, and being the enemy for farmers. People thought, it is legal to caught those birds uncounted.

In other area, this kind of bird are being the food that served in dining and even in a restaurant. Other people sell the birds as a pet. To make the consumers more interested, especially the children as the main selling target, they paint the bird's body into red, yellow, orange, or green. Then, they sell it around the town. And to facilitate the buyers they also sell the cage in a packet.

The full picture of Lonchura birds. The closest forms are Lonchura leucogastroides in red and yellow color, on its right side is the juvenile of Lonchura punctulata in yellow, next is an adult one in green color.

Lantana camara, a species of plants that i was found in natural habitat in Tembalang, Semarang. Yes, about last year i observed the vegetation around my college, Diponegoro University with my “best” fiends. We found some species that we never seen before. One of them is Lantana camara (Tembelekan in javanese). Its existed almost in every plot of our samples. They lives very well among another shrubs. Green leaves and wide and looks so healthy. We were so excited when found it species. I thought that it is the beautiful kind of flower we have found. Red-pink, yellow-white, purple or orange-yellow we could find there.

Lantana camara is a Verbenaceae family. It also name as Spanish flag, west-indian flower, or Red (Yellow, Wild) Sage They live in. colony. Like another shrubs, it has small rod. Hight about 20-50cm. Also it has Inflorescence flowering.

Now, i found Lantana camara in a garden area in front of a fuel station (SPBU), located in Bojonegoro-East Java, Indonesia, in lower mainland area. It seems that the flower were planted by people as ornamental flower. I saw a colony of yellow-white flower there. The differences between garden and naturally plant i saw in its leaf, the garden plant is smaller than natural. It might be caused by the limited available nutrition around in the garden soil.

The sunset time, every single bird with their flock or just by its self are moving back to their "home". Months ago, i watched them in front of a Department store parking area. at that time, they had been perching in a palm tree.

A few days ago, i watched them in my neighbour's mango tree, a big and shade one.
I heard some noisy birdling and i guest it was come from Estriltidae (Family). Yes, i was right, that they are.

A huge flock i though, it might be hundreds bird flight aim to the vegetation. It doesn't clearly what the species is. But one of them i knew is Lonchura punctulata or spotted munia (Indonesia=Bondol peking). It doesn't need a long time till they felt pleasant at their bed and simply quite.

The tasty "Sate" and "Bakso"

About last week, Mr. Obama, the first man of United States of America, has came with his beloved wife Mrs. Michele Obama. Indonesian people were and have been excited of the president visited. The TV channels did not missed the each moment of Mr. Obama activities.

The one special thing, is the Mr. Obama's speech that was perform in University of Indonesia and were attended by almost 10.000 audiences. Mr. Obama told the stories when he was stayed in Jakarta about 43 years ago. He told about the Indonesian food that he really like to ate. Here is his words "I remember the called of the vendors... "sate"... "bakso".. enak ya". It makes the whole audiences laughing and clapping their hands

Now, i would like to tell about what "sate" and "bakso" is?

"Sate" or satay, is a kind of food that made from pieces of chicken, lamb, or beef. Then, its stabbed and arranged in a thin bamboo stick. After that, its dipped in the blend of spice. Then, it burnt over the embers. You will be tempted by the delicious smell when its burned. And it was no less tasty.

So, What the "bakso" is? bakso or meatball are the favorite food of Indonesian people. We can find it easily in everywhere. The meatballs and noodle poured with gravy. Then it served in a bowl. Lets enjoy it.

Glad to Watched "Ketoprak"

Last night i attended my cousin's wedding party. There was a special thing i saw. When, the modern society prefer to represent the music show to amusing their guests. But, my cousin's family represented a traditional show, name "Ketoprak". When Italian have opera show, we, javanese, having the "Ketoprak" show.

The drama tells about the histories of Java land or sometimes artist will perform stories from other regions. In one-time performances duration can be reached for hours. The artist used the javanese costume and the back sound played by a "Gamelan" Group, such a traditional music orchestra. Like in opera, "Ketoprak" presenting the songs and sung by the actors
.

Last night the story was about the conflict of "Kerajaan Singosari" (Singosari Kingdom) and "Kerajaan Kediri" (Kediri Kingdom), the kingdoms who had triumphed in the land of java hundreds years ago. The scenes divided in several term. to make it more interesting the director give some action scenes. Besides that, there were some comedian involved to make cheers, and the javanese name it with "Dagelan", means comedy.

There were some interesting messages conveyed in each dialog, such as spiritual, social, and culture. When i was child, i watched for several times in Television channel or live as i did last night , at that time i didn't know what the meaning of the stories. But now, i realize that the stories inside is very important, especially for the young generation to know the histories and the incredible culture of their land that have been bequeathed by their predecessors.

I'm so glad to see the art performance of javanese which is very rare now. Hopefully this traditional culture will be able to survive in the future modern days.

Facing a Longer Rainy Season

There such a different phenomenon in recently years. Indonesia, is one of the tropical country in this world. It has two seasons along the year, rainy and dry season. Usually, the dry season occur in 6 months and the rest one occur the dry season.

But, at the recently time, the time of the both season are unpredictable. Several years ago, people around my place have had faced the difficulties condition to find the purify water. Yes, i still remembering the time when we should to used the water from river for shower or wash. Even it was not clean and quite healthy
.

But, it was happened. Now, the anomaly season is happening. The rainy season seemly longer than the ordinary. On the "right side", we are very profited by this situation, because we do not have to facing the long drought. But, in "left side", some people are very unlucky when the water become overflow. Fields, farmland, school, house are submerged by flood. Farmer lose their crop, students can not attend to school, and people evacuated from their house.

In Indonesia this effect spread almost in entire areas. Sumatra island, Java, Kalimantan, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, and Papua. This is the miserable effect of the weather besides the effect of human fault of nature.

the Rocky Town in Central Java

Wonogiri is one of the interesting town in Central java, Indonesia. It is about one hour from Solo or 2-3 hours from Yogyakarta. When i came there at the first time, i think it's the coolest location of town I've ever saw. A quiet and touching, clean and neat so. But, the incredible one is that the town is located in the beautiful hills around.

Another interesting one of Wonogiri is "Gajah Mungkur" dam. This dam is already being a tourism dam that equipped with water and playground games. A variety of foods, especially based mainly from fish or shrimp we can find easily there. If you want to enjoy it in your home, you can buy the raw fish.

Some of the fish we can buy there such as the Pangasius catfish (Indonesia : Ikan Patin) (Pangasius pangasius), the Nile tilapia (Indonesia : Ikan Nila) (Oreochromis niloticus), shrimps, and small fish like anchovy (Indonesia : Ikan teri). You can find the sellers on the roadside and choosing what you like.

So if you want to spent your time with your family, you can visit there and enjoy to fishing, or surrounding the dam by boat or just sitting and enjoying the beautiful views. And walking around the town after that.

The Salted Egg

It had been time that the duck eggs are having unpleasant odor and fishy. This is feel very obviously when we compare to the eggs of leg horn chicken or Gallus gallus domesticus variant. Although the egg has been cooked, but its smell can't be lost.

To reduced and even to omitted that bad smell, people have a trick to change it become the salted egg (Indonesia : Telur asin).

And how to make it?
It is very easy and simple, we do not need the complicated foodstuff or ingredient. But, it's need more patience until it can be consumed.

First we prepare the crushed brick which is mixed with ash and the sufficient water. Don't forget to added the salt a pretty much. Covered the egg with that mixture. We need about 2 weeks until the salt can be absorbed. Then we just boil it, and "Telur asin" can be serving.

The Looked of Wreathed Hornbill (Aceros undulatus)

There are some species of Bucerotidae that can live in Indonesia forest. One of them is Aceros undulatus (Wreathed Hornbill; Indonesia : Julang emas). They are still exist around Mt. Ungaran, Central Java, Indonesia. The inhabitants call this bird with a name "gogik".

It's has particularly large body size. Males and females have the different body color. The dominant color is black, from the whole bodies until its wings, but the tail is fully white. The male's head has a white color with the reddish bill, it also has the red-brown hairy on the back of its head. Under its bill is reddish too.

The female one has the different color on its head area. It has black color on its neck until head. The bill is yellowish and under its bill is blue.

It is very awsome, when we met this bird in a moment, although it is not hard to find them in Medini, the north slope of Mt. Ungaran. Not only one individual only, even in a single meeting we can find some.

Lucky or Unlucky Indonesia?

Still condolence for our brothers who have and are experiencing a natural disaster. Wasior of Papua, Mentawai Islands, to which is still ongoing is Mount Merapi. Tens to hundreds of people have become victims, and thousands of people still displaced in various places, because they do not know where else they will live.

Here we are Pray for Indonesia, has been heard everywhere. A country which is known as the has incredible natural wealth. In the Javanese belief states that Indonesia is a country that "Gemah Ripah Loh jinawi". It is means that people who living in Indonesia will feel very lucky and be close to the welfare and prosperity.

Indonesia has many islands, more than 17,000 spread from Sabang to Merauke. This certainly shows that we are surrounded by seas and oceans. Thus there are certainly things in the territorial waters, like seaweed, fish, until marine tourism.

Indonesia also passed by the ring of fire. This means that in Indonesia there are few mountain areas that are still active, materials spewed by volcanoes into a profitable thing, be it sand or stone mine. On the other hand, the material issued by mountain ash, if within a certain time will be made into fertile farmland. This can increase the productivity of the surrounding community and the State indirectly.

Then, what if the situation is like now? When the natural beauty around the Mentawai islands swept by the Earthquake and Tsunami, as well as Mount Merapi has caused the deaths of hundreds of people. The term chrysalis may already be familiar to the general public. Most probably only recognize a cocoon as a part of the diversity of fauna in the wild life. Of ciurse, this is also often discussed in biology lessons we’re learned since we sat in Elementary School. Beyond that, there are some areas that have slightly different views on the cocoon, people in these areas have long been utilizing pupae as food that not only make full, but also has a different taste. Type of pupae which are often ate, and the most popular is derived from teak caterpillar. Pupa is often referred to as “Inthung” by surrounding resident, but there is also called “Ungker”.

If the season had arrived when the hardwood leaves have started to run out, then the people will flock to the nearby teak forest to looking for the cocoon. Several times I’ve also been involved in the teak forest. It’s nice when taken one by one cocoon that is usually hiden behind a dry teak leaf or in the soil. It takes a little patience and quaite tiring having squat and move around at the same time.

The cocoon can by partially eaten by their self, but many were sold to collectors which will be marketed to some areas. This cocoon prices varied, if not at the peak of its season around Rp. 10.000 a glass, but if the peak season around Rp. 3.000 a glass.

Today, the number of cocoons are not as much as before, despite being in peak season. Sometimes, if you want to get this cocoon should buy directly from the collectors in the forest. there's so many kind of fungi that enable to live naturally around my place, one of them is Auricularia auricula (Indonesia : Jamur kuping) or the Jelly ear. this fungi is classified in mushroom group that has a fruit body. besides it's easy to live, the jelly ear is edible. people collect the jelly ear to added in their cooking, like soup, fried noodle, and pepes (a traditional food)

Auricularia auricula is easy to live, it's just require the wet air and usually live in the dead wood. so, we will find this easily in forest with high humidity. but now, people do some effort to cultivate this fungi. and now, it is more easier to find this jelly ear. we can find the dry jelly ear in the closest market.

keroncong, the sense of Indonesian music

Did u ever heard about keroncong? this is a kind of music genre in Indonesia. It is the traditional music and people played since long time ago.

One of the popular song is "Bengawan Solo". It is write and created by Gesang, the most popular legend of keroncong. He was died in Mei 2010, but people still commemorate his masterpiece. Now, young to older people are playing keroncong, from streets to building.

Permainan Tradisional Jawa (Indonesia)

Modernisasi tak sedikit menekan budaya bangsa yang tradisional. Hal yang mungkin sangat terasa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari adalah hilangnya kebiasaan generasi penerus yang menggunakan atau melakukan jenis permainan tradisional. Tak hanya di area perkotaan, tapi kebiasaan ini juga menjadi “penyakit” bagi anak-anak di pedesaan.

Untuk mengenang dan semoga saja secara tidak langsung dapat memberikan inspirasi bagi anak-anak untuk lebih melestarikan mainan tradisional, berikut akan saya bahas mengenai beberapa jenis permainan yang dulu lekat dengan saya.

1. Jamuran

Permainan ini dimainkan oleh beberapa orang yang membentuk lingkaran dan saling bergandengan tangan. Lalu, secara bersama-sama mereka menyanyikan lagu “jamuran” dan melakukan putaran. Dahulu permainan ini sering dilakukan ketika menjelang maghrib atau malam hari

2. Engkler

Engkler adalah istilah yang biasa digunakan di daerah saya, di daerah lain mungkin memiliki nama yang berbeda. Permainan ini dilakukan oleh beberapa orang yang dibagi menjadi 2 (dua) kelompok yang saling berlomba-lomba mendapatkan nilai yang lebih banyak. Selanjutnya kelompok ini terdiri dari kelompok 1 atau kelompok yang sedang main, sedangkan lawannya kita sebut dengan kelompok 2.

Permainannya kurang lebih seperti ini : Permainan ini menggunakan 1 buah kayu berukuran agak panjang dan 1 buah kayu pendek. Kemudian, kayu pendek diletakkan membujur diantara dua buah batu. Kayu panjang kemudian diayun kedepan dan mendorong kayu yang pendek. Di depan, lawan akan bersiap untuk menangkap kayu pendek di belakang garis batas yang sudah ditentukan. Jika ada salah satu anggota lawan yang bisa menangkap, maka lawan akan mendapat nilai 25. Namun jika tidak bisa menangkap, lawan hanya perlu melempar kembali kayu pendek ke arah kayu panjang yang diletakkan di atas batu.

Apabila lawan tidak mengenai kayu panjang, maka pihak yang main akan mendapatkan nilai dengan menghitung jarak dari jatuhnya kayu pendek yang dilempar ke arah kayu panjang dengan menggunakan satuan “kayu pendek”. Permainan akan berlanjut masih dengan orang pertama dari kelompok 1, kali ini kayu pendek tidak diletakkan lagi di atas batu, melainkan di atas tangan dengan posisi telapak tangan dibawah. Kemudian, kayu pendek dilempar ke atas, lalu kayu pendek tersebut di pukul dengan kayu panjang. Hampir seperti di bagian sebelumnya, jika lawan bisa menangkap maka mereka akan memperoleh nilai, namun kali ini nilai yang didapat adalah 50.

Sampai kebagian terakhir, jika pemain berhasil melewati bagian 1 dan 2, pemain tersebut akan melanjutkan dengan bagian 3. Di bagian ke-3 ini, kayu pendek diletakkan di atas kaki, tepatnya di pangkal jari-jari, kemudian kayu pendek tersebut di lempar ke atas dan dipukul dengan menggunakan kayu panjang. Kali ini, pihak lawan yang bisa menangkap kayu pendek tersebut akan mendapat nilai 100.

Di bagian 1,2, dan 3, jika lawan tidak bisa menangkap kayu pendek dan ketika melempar kayu pendek tersebut ternyata kayu mengenai kayu panjang yang diletakkan di atas batu, maka pemain pertama tersebut harus bergantian dengan pemain berikutnya. Begitu seterusnya, sampai pemain dari kelompok tersebut habis. Baru kemudian berganti dengan kelompok lawan yang bermain.

3. Setinan

Setin atau sering dikenal dengan kelereng merupakan jenis mainan yang lebih sering digunakan, dan hampir di semua daerah ada permainan ini. Di daerah lain, ada yang menyebutnya dengan kneker, neker, atau perik.

Ada beberapa macam jenis permainan dengan menggunakan kelereng. Diantaranya adalah Wok tin (wok=lubang di tanah, tin=singkatan dari ‘setin’ atau kelereng), permainan perorangan yang dilakukan dengan cara membuat lubang di tanah, kemudian peserta yang ikut akan melempar kelereng dari jarak yang sudah ditentukan. Peserta yang berhasil memasukkan kelereng di lubang langsung mendapat point 9. Peserta lain yang melempar paling dekat dengan lubang akan memiliki giliran lebih dulu untuk memasukkan kelerengnya ke lubang. Jika kelereng masuk, maka peserta akan mendapat point 1, setelah itu peserta tersebut berhak memukul atau melemparkan kelerengnya ke arah kelereng peserta lain dengan gerakan tangan tertentu. Apabila kelereng mengenai salah satu kelereng lawan, maka akan mendapatkan tambahan point 1 lagi, lalu peserta tersebut masih berkesempatan memasukkan kelereng ke lubang dan mendapat point berikutnya. Jika kelereng tidak masuk ke lubang, maka giliran pemain berikutnya yang melempar. Ini dilakukan hingga para pemain mendapat point 10. Pemain terakhir yang belum mendapatkan 10 point, akan dihukum dengan cara memukul kelerengnya menjauhi lubang. Jika tidak ada satupun peserta yang mengenai kelereng peserta yang dihukum, maka dia hanya perlu memasukkan kelerengnya ke dalam lubang dan jika berhasil maka hukumannya akan berakhir.

4. Pembela

Pembela di daerah lain lebih dikenal dengan sebutan petak umpet. Permainan ini juga lebih sering dimainkan, bahkan sampai sekarang mungkin masih ada beberapa yang memainkannya.

5. Perang-perangan

Perang-perangan (bukan perang yang sesungguhnya atau main perang) , bisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat tradisional yang dibuat sendiri. Misalnya : tembak-tembakan atau pistol atau semapan yang dibuat dari batang daun pisang, kemudian menggunakan pedang yang bisa teruat dari batang daun pisang juga atau dari kayu. Permainan ini dilakukan hanya dengan memainkan alat-alat tersebut layaknya seperti perang sungguhan, sudah pasti karena alatnya terbuat dari batang daun pisang, maka ini tidak membahayakan.

6.Gedrik

Gedrik atau ada yang menyebutnya “engklek”, merupakan permainan yang dilakukan dengan cara membuat kotak-kotak yang membentuk pola tertentu. Ada yang berbentuk seperti kerangka kubus dan berbentuk seperti seorang petani dengan segitiga di atasnya. Pemain akan melempar sebuah pecahan genting (jawa=kreweng) ke dalam kotak-kotak tersebut , dan pemain akan berjalan melewati kotak-kotak selain yang ada pecahan gentingnya (baik miliknya sendiri atau milik peserta lain) dengan menggunakan kaki satu. Menuju Surabaya, bisa menjadi salah satu perjalanan yang menarik. Jika anda mengendarai mobil pribadi mungkin pengalaman yang anda dapatkan tidak akan seistimewa jika anda menaiki transportasi umum. kenapa? salah satu alasannya adalah, jika menaiki alat transportasi umum anda akan sering bertemu dengan orang banyak dan pastinya banyak pula yang belum dikenal, apalagi untuk kota yang asing. di sinilah nikmatnya bersosialisasi dengan orang, meski baru kenal tapi seringkali hanya dengan berbincang sesaat tak sedikit hal yang kita dapat dari lawan bicara entah itu mengenai pengalaman, keseharian, pemikiran, hingga masukan. Keuntungan lain dengan menggunakan transportasi umum adalah biayanya yang murah, tentunya hal ini akan menjadi hal yang sangat berarti bagi masyarakat dengan kondisi perekonomian menengah kebawah.

Dari Semarang, biaya paling murah mungkin bisa ditempuh dengan menaiki kereta ekspress ekonomi “Kertajaya”. Kereta ini ber-trayek Jakarta-surabaya dengan harga tiket Rp. 26.000. Jika sesuai jadwal. kereta akan datang di Poncol sekitar pukul 23.30, tapi memang kereta ini seringkali mengalami keterlambatan dan akan tiba di Stasiun Pasar Turi, Surabaya sekitar pukul 07.00 hingga 07.30.

Sesampainya di kota Surabaya, perjalanan menuju tempat tujuan bisa ditempuh dengan menggunakan angkutan, biaya variasi dimulai dari Rp.3000 dan tak perlu khawatir angkutan dalam kota ini gampang dicari setiap saat.

Sedikit bercerita lagi tentang perjalanan kami, ketika akan pulang ke Semarang, karena “Kertajaya” yang berangkat dari Stasiun Pasar Turi sekitar pukul 15.30, dan kami baru tiba di sana sekitar pukul 15.50 akhirnya kami memutusakan untuk ikut kereta local, dengan Rp. 2000 saja kita sudah bisa sampai di Lamongan. Kemudian perjalanan dilanjutkan dengan menaiki bis, untuk kelas ekonomi harga tiketnya tak lebih dari Rp.40.000.

Silahkan total sendiri, berapa kira-kira biaya yang dibutuhkan untuk perjalanan ekonomis Semarang-Surabaya?

Dengan biaya minimal-pun kita bisa merasakan nikmatnya jalan-jalan.

sebagai seorang yang berlatar pendidikan non-sejarah, namun saya pikir tidak ada alasan untuk tidak belajar mengenai perjalanan bangsa dan negara Indonesia, dimulai dari masa manusia purba, masa kerajaan-kerajaan, hingga masa kolonial. sebuah refleksi perubahan peradaban yang saya lihat disana.

masa sebelum kolonial masuk Indonesia, yaitu masa dimana kerajaan-kerajaan berkuasa, merupakan salah satu yang paling menarik bagi saya. selama ini ada beberapa pola pandang yang cukup negatif mengenai kerajaan, karena dipandang sebagai suatu sistem yang tidak sesuai dengan prinsip persatuan dan kesatuan. namun, banyak hal positif lain yang dapat kita pelajari dengan mengenal sejarah kerajaan-kerajaan yang pernah ada di Indonesia.

To waste my time in Baiturrahman mosque, Semarang, Central Java while waiting for the “adzan magrib” sound, i looked around and found some interested things. Lonchura maja or white headed munia, in Bahasa called “Bondol haji”, are exist there. Besides them, Lonchura punctulata (spotted munia) or “Bondol peking”, and also Passer montanus (Eurasian Tree Sparrow) or “ Burung gereja-erasia” are not rarely. At that dark evening, they stay on their own branch and it seems that they’re preparing to sleep. Yes, they have a same “home” in a same tree.

Another great time, I enjoy the diversity of vegetation surrounding. Include trees, shrubs, herbs, and grass. The list of some species at May 5th 2010, serve below :

Nasi Kucing Semarang

Nasi kucing, special menu untuk makan malam, khususnya bagi kaum menengah ke bawah. Di beberapa daerah, warung nasi kucing sangat banyak ditemui, diantaranya adalah di kota Semarang
.

Salah satu tempat yang asik di semarang untuk menikmati nasi kucing adalah di daerah Simpang Lima. Nasinya mungkin hampir sama dengan nasi kucing di tempat lain, nasi putih plus lauk atau sayur dengan porsi minimalis, tapi ada “hidangan” lain yang membuat tempat ini berbeda. Adalah lokasinya yang terletak di salah satu tempat paling ramai di Semarang.

Banyak orang berlalu-lalang, apalagi jika malam minggu, penjual-penjual dan beberapa pembeli sudah membanjiri pasar kaget di dekat sana. Jadi, bagi yang tidak bisa makan bersama teman atau keluarga, tidak perlu merasa jenuh atau kesepian di warung nasi kucing Simpang Lima.

Tapi, bagi yang belum pernah makan di pinggir jalan sebaiknya perlu hati-hati, karena selain banyak orang, di sekitar tempat itu juga banyak kendaraan yang lewat.

Sunny morning is present at that time. I got the new record of my bird list around my house. Great tit (Parus major) fam. Paridae, in Bahasa called “Gelatik Batu-kelabu”. It’s unbelievable moment for me, because I never think that this species are able to survive in this area.

I watched a couple of Parus major in mango trees. The last time I saw it, was in conifer forest in Gedong Songo, Mt. Ungaran about more than a year ago. According to the several references, great tits are insectivorous, but when these prey are rarely, they eat some fruits and seeds.

Not far from here, may be about 2-3 km, there are some field and shrub areas that widely enough. If we looking at the habitat in here, they may tend to eat the seeds.
