This is a chip truck with aspirations and is already legendary among those in the know.. It is just past the entrance to Trent University off Water St. Reggie and his staff produce a burger that is little short of greatness. 100% fresh beef on a good bun with your choice of condiments. Sweet potato fries to die for (have the cajun dip). Poutine that is as close to Quebec standard as you are going to find, with fresh, squeaky curds. My favourite burger is the Drop Out burger, which is made with a slice of peameal. Reggie's is no longer just a little cart.. Since Reggie took over the spot from the previous guy (who was found dead in his chip truck...yummo!), he has been so successful that he had a new, large prefab trailer installed. In summer, there can be huge line-ups, but it is worth the wait. To me, this is a destination burger, if there is such a thing. Grab a meal and sit at the picnic tables by the river. A few years ago, chef/food stylist Galvin &amp;amp; sommelier/businessman Kirker sold their downtown Toronto home and relocated to Lakefield, Ontario to fulfill their lifelong dream &amp;amp; return to Chef Galvin’s roots (she was raised 10 minutes away in Bridgenorth, ON). &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;The couple purchased a rambling, three-storey house from the early 1900’s to restore (with their own two hands!) and turn into their home and restaurant. With original wood flooring &amp;amp; stained glass restored to its former glory, the couple has been enjoying life as restaurant owners since this past June. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Riverhouse Co. includes local, seasonal &amp;amp; sustainable organic foods with a menu that changes with the seasonal harvest. The restaurant is fully licensed to serve local brews of tap as well as a varied wine list available by glass or bottle. The first event is March 14th at the Pasta Shop at 165 Sherbrooke, starting at 5:00 p.m. The first class is entitled "The Art and Science of the Perfect Fresh Noodle." In this cooking class, you'll learn to make fresh pasta and pasta sauces, how to pair wine with the right noodle and sauce and enjoy a pasta dish with a glass of wine." The cost is $40.00. You have to registered to the club, which is free, and then sign up for the class. This all stems from a rise in childhood obesity in France.  Get real: Kids are getting fatter because, like everywhere else, they have adapted to a feeding culture that boasts HUGE plates, massive amounts of saturated fat but that leaves them hungry in an hour.  Can anyone say Golden Arches?  The fast food epidemic is just as prevalent in Europe as it is in North America, amongst the younger set. Over 13 tons of food was donated in the one day event.&lt;br /&gt;“People donated the food we needed” said Dave Ralph, Chair of Kawartha Food Share.  He continued to say; “The food we received will help us through the summer and into the fall so we can assist those people who are hungry in our community.” &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Over 180 volunteers travelled down every street in the City picking up the bags of donated food people left on their front step. Special thanks go to the volunteers, supporters and sponsors of the event.  The sponsorship of Peterborough This Week, The Wolf/980 KRUZ, Lansdowne Place, East Peterborough Lions Club and Dominos Pizza were big factors contributing to the success of the event. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;It is staggering that local food banks need so much food.  Over 6,300 people use food banks every month in the City and County of Peterborough.  2,500 or 40% of these food bank users are youth and children.
