One of our works in progress here at Kayaro, is revamping the classic alternative folk album "Twice Upon a Rhyme" by Paul Levinson with Ed Fox and Peter Rosenthal. The album was independently release in 1972 on Happy Sad Records. The album got some airplay and attention at the time, but didn't manage to break out into the mainstream. Slowly it began to become a collectors favorite, as it had a very limited original pressing. The strong writing and psychedelic vibes of the albums made it a fan favorite as time went on.

"Twice Upon A Rhyme" has now been re-released on Big Pink/Beatball Records as a mini-CD, with three bonus tracks! There are even more releases planned, and Kayaro Incorporated is getting in the mix! Our upcoming revisions are on the way!! JhaVoice has finished three songs of the album so far and Q.Rock is busy behind the boards, with genre busting tracks lined up! Welcome my brothers and sisters, I hope your feeling good! If not, you will be by the time your done reading this little blog post. I really don't like to brag, but if I don't tell you about the wonderful world of Kayaro, who else will? Besides, I am not only the owner of Kayaro Records, I am a fan. I love all the music that I have had the chance to share, help create or simply listen to on my little indie that could! We are feverishly planning new releases and setting up alliances nationwide. Look forward to another busy year from us here at Kayaro and stay tuned for future annoucements!

We are continuing our push to explore and expand our presence in the podcasting arena, by introducing more programs to the world! This summer will be a testing period for us, as we plan on bringing you as many high quality podcast as humanly possible, covering everything from local and national news, music and general musings on life!

One of the hidden gems in the Kayaro library, this one is by songstress our main JhaVoice, and it is simply beautiful. With it's opening strings and floating guitar work, JhaVoice sings about love lost, telling the story of a woman waiting for her love. Filled with a jazzy horn section and pulsating rhythm, the song has a hypnotic pulse and elegant vocals.

Kayaro Weekend Wrap Up-Lions Den @ Zanzibar Aug 16, Kayaro heads to Venice Beach!

Whats up everybody! Hope your all well and feeling fine. We have been working on bringing you all some more incredible Kayaro events for the end of summer and are ready to turn up the heat!
First of all, we have events for you all this weekend, if you're in Los Angeles!

This Sunday, August 16th, Lion's Den beings the party back to Zanzibar, as they host the monthly Hip-Hop night. This weekend they will be welcoming Aceyalone, Dudley Perkins, Mystic and Non Human Intelligence, among others. DJ Tommy Blak and DJ Main Vybe will be holding it down on the music sets as usual. Make sure you guys come out for a live night of Hip-Hop in Santa Monica!

Also, coming up next week, we will set up tables and a vendor booth on the world famous Venice Beach Boardwalk! We recently got our permit, which allows us to set up tables on the legendary beach front. We plan on having several events, exhibits, musical performance and much more fun in the coming year. Look for us on Venice Beach Boardwalk on the weekend of August 22-23 for our first venture in Venice! We will have music, gifts, and live tee shirt silk screening, with custom orders available onsite!
