Constantine is a 2005 American occult detective film directed by Francis Lawrence, in his directorial debut, and starring Keanu Reeves as John Constantine. Rachel Weisz, Shia LaBeouf, Tilda Swinton, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Djimon Hounsou co-star. With a screenplay by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello, the film is based on DC Comics' Hellblazer comic book, with plot elements taken from the "Dangerous Habits" story arc and the "Original Sins" story arc.

Plot

God and Lucifer have a standing wager for mankind's souls. Angels and demons are forbidden to manifest on Earth; instead, their hybrid offspring influence humans. In the Mexican countryside, a scavenger named Manuel finds a spearhead wrapped in a Nazi flag at the ruins of an old church, which is later revealed as the Spear of Destiny. Manuel becomes possessed and travels to the United States. John Constantine exorcises a Filipina girl possessed by a demon trying to break through to Earth, which should not be possible under the wager's rules. He meets with the androgynous half-angel being Gabriel. He asks Gabriel for a reprieve from his impending death from lung cancer brought forth by prolonged smoking. Gabriel declines, telling Constantine that he exorcises demons for selfish reasons and can not buy his way into Heaven.

Plot

When Hope van Dyne and Hank Pym present him with a new mission to bring to light secrets from their past, Lang teams up with Van Dyne as the new Wasp.

Plot

In 2014, Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Baby Groot are renowned as the Guardians of the Galaxy. Ayesha, leader of the Sovereign race, has the Guardians protect valuable batteries from an inter-dimensional monster in exchange for Gamora's estranged sister Nebula, who was caught attempting to steal the batteries. After Rocket steals some for himself, the Sovereign attacks the Guardians' ship with a fleet of drones. These are destroyed by a mysterious figure, and the Guardians crash-land on a nearby planet. There, this figure reveals himself as Quill's father, Ego, and invites Quill, Gamora, and Drax to his home planet. Rocket and Groot remain behind to repair the ship and guard Nebula. Ayesha hires Yondu Udonta and his crew, who have been exiled from the greater Ravager community for child trafficking, to recapture the Guardians. They capture Rocket, but when Yondu hesitates to turn over Quill, whom he raised, his lieutenant Taserface leads a mutiny with help from Nebula.

Plot

In 1988, following his mother's death, a young Peter Quill is abducted from Earth by the Ravagers, a group of space pirates led by Yondu Udonta. Twenty-six years later on the planet Morag, Quill steals an orb but is attacked by Korath, a subordinate to the fanatical Kree, Ronan. Although Quill escapes with the orb, Yondu discovers his theft and issues a bounty for his capture, while Ronan sends the assassin Gamora after the orb. When Quill attempts to sell the orb on Xandar, capital of the Nova Empire, Gamora ambushes him and steals it. A fight ensues, drawing in a pair of bounty hunters: the genetically and cybernetically modified raccoon Rocket, and the tree-like humanoid Groot. Nova Corps officers capture the four, detaining them in the Kyln. A powerful inmate there, Drax, attempts to kill Gamora due to her association with Ronan and Thanos, who killed his family. Quill convinces Drax that Gamora can bring Ronan to him, though Gamora reveals that she has betrayed Ronan.

Agent Carter is a 2013 American direct-to-video short film featuring the Marvel Comics character Peggy Carter, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. It is a follow up to the 2011 feature film Captain America: The First Avenger, and is the fourth Marvel One-Shot short film. The film is directed by Louis D'Esposito from a screenplay by Eric Pearson, and stars Hayley Atwell as Carter, along with Bradley Whitford and Dominic Cooper.

Plot

One year after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger, Agent Peggy Carter is now a member of the Strategic Scientific Reserve. She faces sexism from her boss, Agent John Flynn, who treats her condescendingly and keeps her compiling data and code breaking while assigning field cases to the male agents. The SSR's main concern is the mysterious Zodiac, which they have been unable to recover for some time. One night alone in the office while the men are out together, Carter answers the case line to hear of the location of the Zodiac. Though three to five agents are recommended, Carter decides to go to the location herself. Fighting off multiple guards, Carter is able to retrieve the Zodiac, a mysterious serum, herself.

The untitled Avengers film, colloquially referred to as Avengers 4, is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Additional filming took place in the Downtown and Metro Atlanta areas. The untitled Avengers film is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 3, 2019, in IMAX and 3D.

Plot

In Kathmandu, the sorcerer Kaecilius and his zealots enter the secret compound Kamar-Taj and behead its librarian. They steal a few pages from an ancient, mystical text belonging to the Ancient One, a long-lived sorcerer who has taught every student at Kamar-Taj, including Kaecilius, in the mystic arts. The Ancient One pursues the traitors, but Kaecilius and his followers escape. In New York City, Stephen Strange, a wealthy, acclaimed, and arrogant neurosurgeon, severely injures his hands in a car accident, leaving him unable to operate. Fellow surgeon and former lover Christine Palmer tries to help him move on, but Strange vainly pursues experimental surgeries to heal his hands, nearly bankrupting himself. Strange learns about Jonathan Pangborn, a paraplegic who mysteriously regained use of his legs. Pangborn directs Strange to Kamar-Taj, where he is taken in by Mordo, a sorcerer under the Ancient One. The Ancient One demonstrates her power to Strange, revealing the astral plane and other dimensions such as the Mirror Dimension.

It is the second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film was directed by Louis Leterrier, with a screenplay by Zak Penn. It stars Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, alongside Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, Tim Blake Nelson, Ty Burrell, and William Hurt.

In The Incredible Hulk, Bruce Banner becomes the Hulk as an unwitting pawn in a military scheme to reinvigorate the supersoldier program through gamma radiation. On the run, he attempts to cure himself of the Hulk before he is captured by General Thaddeus Ross, but his worst fears are realized when power-hungry soldier Emil Blonsky becomes a similar, but more bestial creature. After the mixed reception to the 2003 film Hulk, Marvel Studios reacquired the rights to the character. Leterrier, who had expressed interest in directing Iron Man, was brought onboard and Penn began work on a loose sequel that would be much closer to the comics and the 1978 television series of the same name. In April 2007, Norton was hired to portray Banner and to rewrite Penn's screenplay in order to distance itself from the 2003 film and establish its own identity as a reboot, although he would go uncredited for his writing. Filming mostly took place in Toronto, Ontario, from July to November 2007.

Plot

At Culver University in Virginia, General Thunderbolt Ross meets with Dr. Bruce Banner, the colleague and boyfriend of his daughter Betty, regarding an experiment that Ross claims is meant to make humans immune to gamma radiation. The experiment — part of a World War II era "super soldier" program that Ross hopes to recreate — fails, and the exposure to gamma radiation causes Banner to transform into the Hulk for brief periods of time, whenever his heart rate rises above 200 beats per minute. The Hulk destroys the lab and injures or kills the people inside. Banner becomes a fugitive from the U.S. military and Ross in particular, who wants to weaponize the Hulk in the process.

Plot

Agent Coulson walks into a restaurant where Agent Sitwell is eating breakfast, and informs him that the World Security Council wishes Emil Blonsky released from prison to join the Avengers Initiative. Zero: Black Blood is a Japanese film duology and television miniseries, spin-off from the Garo television series. The film is split into two portions. The White Chapter which comprises the first three episodes of the miniseries, had a limited theatrical release on March 8, 2014, and the Black Chapter, the last three episodes, had a limited theatrical release on March 22, 2014. The film was also shown on Japanese cable television channel Family Gekijo as a six-episode miniseries from March 5 through March 7, 2014, with two episodes shown each night.

Plot

Zero: Black Blood is set after the events of the film Garo: Soukoku no Maryu. Rei Suzumura, Zero the Silver Fanged Knight, is patrolling on his own when he encounters the white Horror Ring, who has created a commune where Horrors and humans live together in harmony, so long as one human a month allows themselves to be devoured by the Horrors. Rei, along with Makai Priest Cain and the knight-in-training Yuna are ordered by the Makai Senate to slay Ring and free the humans under his thrall by means of Yuna's mother the Makai Priestess Iyu.

Garo : Makai Retsuden is an omnibus television series which features the cast of the several live action series produced along the years in the Garo franchise, celebrating its 10th anniversary. It aired between April 8 and June 24, 2016.

Plot

The story focuses on life in the aftermath of Lament of the Dark Dragon. Rekka and Shiguto catch up over sparring when Rekka encountered a man in distress. Yukihide of the Forest Grave is regular person who watches over a graveyard of fallen titleless knights. While watching over his grand-daughter, Hibana, a dark presence loomed over the grave and awakened the spirits of the fallen knights. Filled with anger and mistrust, they kidnapped Hibana and was prepared to sacrifice her. However, Rekka intervened and saved her. Not safe from the restless angered spirits, Rekka used the image of Garo to pacify them, but not all heeded her voice. Just went the most angered of the spirits was about to overwhelm her, Rekka remembered about her father and played her flute to put the rest of the spirits at rest. After the rescue, Rekka credits Hibana's grandfather for her rescue. It was then Hibana pointed out that her grandfather had died a year go. Yukihide reveals himself as a thankful spirit to Rekka, saving his beloved Hibana.

The One Who Shines in the Darkness is a Japanese tokusatsu television series. that premiered on April 5, 2013, on TV Tokyo. Written and directed by Makoto Yokoyama, Yami o Terasu Mono is the third television series in the Garo series, but exists in a different continuum. The catchphrase for the series, referred to as the Vol City Chapter, is Get back your gold.

Plot

The last Golden Knight Garo had fallen and the armor is now secretly hidden within an unknown island, protected by Makai Priest Hakana and Burai. The Garo armor has since lost its golden shine, a sign that its power has weakened. Fearing the potential arrival of stronger enemies, the two priests vowed to revive the power of Garo for the sake of the world. The plan for bringing back Garo requires two essential things: the restored golden shine of Garo and a strong Makai Knight to own the power. Hakana had a son, Ryuga, and volunteered her boy for Burai to raise and train into a Makai Knight; Hakana will search for a means to restore Garo’s lost shine. However, the mission goes terribly wrong. The priests believed that the armor is weakening and requires a special material to re-energize the armor: the Seedlings of Zedom. An ancient and powerful Horro.

The film adaptation was released in theatres on March 28, 2015, while the television series began broadcast on April 3, 2015.

Plot

Months after the events in Vol City, Ryuga Dogai has just slain the Horror Murado when he begins to suffer the effects of the accumulated evil energy within the armor. Rian luckily knows of a Makai Priestess in Line City that can purify the armor, searching the city while coming across a kebabe stand owned by D Ringo. Ryuga and Rian eventually find the abode of Line City's resident Makai Priestess Ryume. Ryume takes the Garo armor from Ryuga to purify it over the course of two days, the Makai Knight assured that there are no Horrors within Line City to worry about. As Ryuga and Rian eat at D Ringo's stand, they see a painting that the owner explained to be of a statue of a guardian that mysteriously disappeared. When D Ringo's charm starts acting up, Zaruba senses an evil presence with the kebabe owner revealing there are ruins near the city outskirts. Ryuga and Rian come to the ruins to find a group of Makai Priests dead before being the figure responsible. The figure proceeds to overwhelm Ryuga and Rian before escaping them, with Ryuga finding an item that fell off him.

Garo : Chapter of the Black Wolf is the first season of the Garo series. The story is succeeded by the TV special : Demon Beast of the White Night.

Plot

Where there is light, shadows lurk and fear reigns. Yet by the blade of the knights, Mankind was given hope. Since the beginning, the darkness within humanity had the power to influence the Makai World. It is through this darkness that malevolent creatures called Horrors, a destructive spiritual predator, breaks into the human realm through gateways. These gateways are influenced through negative energies. Be it a gun or a lamp, if the object or place is contaminated with enough dark energies, it becomes a crack between realms that allows Horrors to escape into the human realm, where the Horror can cross over and prey on humanity as subsistence. As creatures that operate within the shadows, many lives were ruined and destroyed by the Horrors; they aim to turn the world into darkness. The only force preventing their attempts to overthrow humanity is the Makai Order.

After successfully saving Ryume and stopping Agō, Ryuga and Rian are assigned under her as guardians of Line City, investigating a mysterious increase in Horror activity in the area. This is all a plot by Makai Knight Zinga and his wife Makai Priestess Amily who have since become Horrors to raise the ancient weapon Radan to destroy humanity in revenge for the death of their son years earlier. To stop them, Ryuga and Rian team up with Daigo Akizuki, Giga the Beast Knight, and the Makai Priests Gald and Haruna, as well as D Ringo and Yukihime before the two Horrors can succeed in their plans.

Garo: Makai no Hana is a 2014 Japanese tokusatsu television drama. It is the fourth television series set in the Garo universe, this time focusing on the character of Raiga Saezima, the son of the original protagonist Kouga, who takes on the mantle of the Golden Knight Garo. The series began broadcast on April 4, 2014, on TV Tokyo and its sister stations in the TX Network.

Plot

The story continues after the events of Demon Dragon of the Blue Cries. The Makai Flower follows the adventures of Raiga Saezima, the son of Kouga Saezima and Kaoru Mitsuki. When Raiga was six, Kaoru was taken away by a mysterious dimensional portal and Kouga decided follow through the portal to save his beloved wife. Unfortunately, that was the last Raiga saw of his parents and was raised by Gonza in the new Saezima estate. Raiga decided to carry on the legacy of the Saezima bloodline by becoming the next Golden Knight Garo. However, he had no master and trained on his own. By age 10, Silver Knight Zero became his master and privately trained him to become a full fledged knight. After much difficult trials, Raiga entered the Hall of Heroes, where the spirits of the previous knights safeguard the armor until the next worthy candidate comes forth.

When asking the spirits to succeed his birthright, Raiga was surprised that the spirits denied him; Raiga had to asked for an explanation. It was then the spirits explained there was another person still holding the title of Garo, Kouga. To Raiga's joy, he learned his father is still alive, surviving in another realm. However, Kouga relinquished his title to Raiga, making him the new Garo. In between, a great evil had been awakened.

Garo: Soukoku no Maryu is a Japanese film that released on February 23, 2013, and serves as an epilogue to Garo: Makai Senki. Ryosei Konishi was initially the only confirmed member of the cast, but Ray Fujita, Shouma Yamamoto, Ozuno Nakamura, Yukijirō Hotaru, Hironobu Kageyama, and Hiroyuki Watanabe were later confirmed to appear in the film. The guest stars in the film are Yuki Kubota, Anna Aoi, Tetsuya Yanagihara, and Keiko Matsuzaka. The catchphrase for the movie is Save the Object World.

Plot

After the events of Garo: Makai Senki, Kouga Saezima appears before Gajari to honor the pact he forged in order to stop Sigma Fudō from killing all the Makai Knights. Kouga is given the task to travel to the Promised Land to retrieve a part of Gajari: the Fang of Sorrow. However, upon his arrival into the Forest of Chaos, Kouga finds himself without his coat and Zaruba nowhere to be seen before seeing the Garoken turned into the Red Dog before running off. Confronting a group of tin knights called Swordmen of the Wind escorting a picture frame, Kouga obtains a sword when they are attacked by a formless monster, a Nanashi. Once the two surviving knights run off, Kouga sees a blue skinned girl emerging from the picture frame.

Garo: Makai Senki is a Japanese tokusatsu television series serving as a sequel to Garo, airing on TV Tokyo between October 6, 2011 and March 22, 2012.. The catchphrase for the series is The knight's oath, shines in gold.

Plot

Following on from Garo and Garo: Red Requiem Makai Senki follows the continuing adventures of Kouga Saezima as he is promoted to being the Makai Knight to the Senate and how he tries to avoid an untimely demise after being marked by the Seal of Destruction by the series antagonist. Unlike the previous series, several episodes focus solely on Rei. Subplots to the series concern Kouga's slow-boiling romantic relationship with Kaoru who is trying to get her first picture book published while Kouga tries to keep his seal a secret from her, Rei/Zero having also been marked with the seal and a possible resurgence in his friendly rivalry with Kouga, and the identity of the series antagonist, a red-masked Makai Priest who "seals" Kouga and Rei as part of his effort to destroy all of the Makai Knights and make the Priests dominant again. Also introduced is the Makai Senate, which heads the Makai order and therefore over-rules the Watchdogs shown in the previous series.

Man of Steel is a 2013 superhero film based on the DC Comics character Superman. It is a British-American venture produced by Legendary Pictures, DC Entertainment, Syncopy Inc., and Cruel and Unusual Films, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is the first installment in the DC Extended Universe.

The film is directed by Zack Snyder, written by David S. Goyer, and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, and Russell Crowe. Man of Steel is a reboot of the Superman film series that retells the character's origin story. In the film, Clark Kent learns that he is a superpowered alien from the planet Krypton and assumes the role of mankind's protector as Superman, but finds himself having to prevent General Zod from destroying humanity. Man of Steel was released in theaters on June 14, 2013, in conventional 2D, 3D, and IMAX formats. Receiving mixed reviews, the film became a box office success grossing more than $668 million worldwide. Critics praised the film's visuals, action sequences, and Hans Zimmer's musical score but criticized its pacing and lack of character development. A follow-up entitled Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was released on March 25, 2016.

Plot

With Krypton destabilized from mining of the planet's core, Jor-El, chief advisor to Krypton's supreme council, recommends the council give him control of the genetics codex. Before any action can be taken, soldiers led by General Zod, an old friend of Jor-El's, launch an uprising and arrest the councilors. Realising that Krypton is doomed, Jor-El steals the genetic codex sought by Zod and infuses them into the DNA of his infant son, Kal-El – the first naturally born Kryptonian child in centuries. Donning his old armor, Jor-El sacrifices his life to allow his son to escape on a preprogrammed spacecraft. Zod orders the rocket's destruction, only to learn that forces loyal to the council have suppressed the rebellion. In a brief trial, Zod and several of the surviving rebels are convicted of treason and sentenced to the Phantom Zone moments before Krypton explodes.

The Arrowverse is an American media franchise and shared fictional universe that is centered on various television series airing on The CW and web series airing on CW Seed, developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Ali Adler, Phil Klemmer, and Geoff Johns, based on characters appearing in publications by DC Comics. The shared universe, much like the DC Universe in comic books, was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast, and characters.

In January 2012, The CW ordered a pilot for Arrow, revolving around the character Green Arrow and developed by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim. Stephen Amell was cast in the titular role. When developing the series, Guggenheim expressed that the creative team wanted to "chart own course, own destiny", and avoid any direct connections to the series Smallville, which featured its own Green Arrow. In July 2013, it was announced that Berlanti, Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns would be creating a spin-off television series based on The Flash. The character, played by actor Grant Gustin, was set to appear in three episodes of Arrow's second season, with the third acting as a backdoor pilot for the new series, though a traditional pilot was eventually ordered instead.

The series is set in the Arrowverse, the same fictional universe as Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. In January 2016, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on October 13, 2016.

Supergirl (2015)

- In November 2014, Berlanti expressed interest in his CBS series Supergirl existing in the same universe as Arrow and The Flash, and in January 2015, The CW president Mark Pedowitz revealed that he was also open to a crossover between the series and networks. However, CBS president Nina Tassler stated that month that, "those two shows are on a different network. So I think we'll keep Supergirl to ourselves for awhile." In August 2015, Tassler revealed that while there were no plans at the time to do story crossovers, the three series would have crossover promotions. In January 2016, Tassler's successor Glenn Geller said "I have to be really careful what I say here" in regards to a potential Supergirl/Arrowverse crossover, so "Watch and wait and see what happens."

Wonder Woman is a 2017 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins, with a screenplay by Allan Heinberg, from a story by Heinberg, Zack Snyder, and Jason Fuchs, and stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, alongside Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen, and Elena Anaya.

Wonder Woman is the second live action theatrical film featuring the titular character, following her debut in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. enkins's role as director makes her the first female director of a live-action, theatrically released comic book superhero film. In Wonder Woman, the story of Diana is told, who is the daughter of Hippolyta and grows up on the Amazon island of Themyscira. After American pilot and spy Steve Trevor crashes offshore of the island and is rescued by her, he tells the Amazons about the ongoing World War. Diana then leaves her home in order to end the conflict. While development for the film began in 1996, Jenkins signed on to direct in 2015. Principal photography began on November 21, 2015, with filming taking place in the United Kingdom, France, and Italy before wrapping up on May 9, 2016, the 123rd anniversary of the birth of the creator, William Moulton Marston. Additional filming took place in November 2016.

Plot

In present day Paris, Diana receives a photographic plate from Wayne Enterprises of herself and four men taken during World War I, prompting her to recall her past. Daughter of Queen Hippolyta, Diana was raised on the hidden island of Themyscira, home to the Amazonian warrior women created by Zeus to protect mankind. Hippolyta shares the Amazonian history with Diana, including how Ares, Zeus's son, became jealous of humanity and orchestrated its destruction. When the other gods attempted to stop him, Ares killed all but Zeus, who used the last of his power to wound Ares and force his retreat (thus dying in the process). Zeus left the Amazons the island and a weapon, the "Godkiller", to prepare them for Ares' return.

Although she initially forbids Diana to be trained as a warrior, Hippolyta reluctantly agrees to let her sister, Antiope, train Diana, only more rigorously than any other warrior. In 1918, Diana, now a young woman, rescues American pilot Captain Steve Trevor when his plane crashes off the Themysciran coast. The island is soon invaded by a German ship pursuing Trevor. The Amazons kill the crew, but Antiope sacrifices herself to save Diana (by taking the bullet fired from a German marine that was meant to target Diana).

Steve is interrogated with the Lasso of Hestia, and reveals that a war is consuming the outside world and that he is an Allied spy. He has stolen a notebook of the chief chemist Isabel Maru, who is attempting to engineer a deadlier form of mustard gas, under the orders of General Erich Ludendorff from a weapon facility in the Ottoman Empire. Believing Ares to be responsible for the war, Diana arms herself with the "Godkiller" sword, the lasso, and her armor before leaving Themyscira with Steve to locate and stop Ares for good.

Wolf Warriors is a 2015 Chinese 3D war action film directed by Wu Jing. It stars Wu Jing along with Scott Adkins, Yu Nan and Kevin Lee in pivotal roles.It was released on 2 April 2015. A sequel, titled Wolf Warrior 2, was released in China on 27 July 2017 and became the all time highest grossing film in China .

Plot

In 2008, a combined task group of People's Liberation Army Special Operations Forces and Chinese police raid a drug smuggling operation in an abandoned chemical facility in southern China.

The leader of the smuggling operation, Wu Ji, holds one of his own men hostage while taking cover behind a section of the facility's reinforced wall. Leng Feng, a skilled PLA sniper, ignores orders to stand down and fires three shots at a weak section of the wall, penetrating through on the third shot and killing Wu Ji. Leng Feng is sent to solitary confinement as punishment, but is approached by Long Xiaoyun, the female commander of the legendary 'Wolf Warriors', an elite unit within the PLA tasked with simulating foreign tactics for the PLA to train against. Long Xiaoyun offers Leng Feng a place in the Wolf Warriors and he accepts, being airlifted to their training grounds the next day. The Wolf Warriors field leader lectures Leng Feng on the importance of teamwork to success.

Meanwhile in southeast Asia, crimelord Min Deng is apprehended by authorities but rescued by group of foreign mercenaries led by ex-US Navy SEAL 'Tom Cat' (Scott Adkins). It is revealed that Min Deng is the older brother of Wu Ji, the drug smuggler slain by Leng Feng in 2008. Min Deng re-hires Tom Cat and his group to assassinate Leng Feng, but warns them not to underestimate the strength and resolve of the People's Liberation Army.

The Wolf Warriors participate in a training exercise in a remote and uninhabited forested region on China's southern border. During the exercise, Tom Cat and his mercenaries ambush a Wolf Warrior squad, killing one of Leng Feng's comrades. Leng Feng and PLA helicopters pursue Tom Cat but he escapes, using graphite-powder weapons to deny airspace to PLA air support.

Without quick-reaction air support to call on, PLA commanders cancel the training exercise and send a combined force of the Wolf Warriors and People's Liberation Army Special Operations Forces into the forest to apprehend Tom Cat and his mercenaries. While re-arming from helicopter-delivered supply drops, the Wolf Warriors are inspired by a speech from their commanders to defend the honour of China and avenge the death of their comrade.

Wolf Warrior 2 is a 2017 Chinese action film directed by Wu Jing, who also starred in the lead role. The film co-stars Celina Jade, Frank Grillo, Hans Zhang, and Wu Gang. The film is a sequel to 2015's Wolf Warrior. It was released in China on 27 July 2017. The film tells a story of a loose cannon Chinese soldier named Leng Feng who takes on special missions around the world. In this sequel, he finds himself in an African country protecting medical aid workers from local rebels and vicious arms dealers.

Plot

After the events of Wolf Warrior, Leng Feng and members of his special-ops team brings his comrade's remains back to his home town and his comrade's family for his funeral, only to see it on the verge of being torn down completely. A real estate company is pulling down his comrade's family and his house during the funeral. The boss of the real estate company confronts them with a gun and sneers at them presenting the remains to the family, only for the boss to be kicked to the ground. The boss calls for his henchmen to attack them but they are all swiftly disabled by the Feng and the other soldiers. Police arrive shortly after and ask Leng Feng to put down the gun he confiscated from the boss.

The boss gets back up and boasts that he will "make the family wish they were dead" to Feng, enraging him to a point that he kicks the boss in the stomach, sending him crashing onto a police car's windshield, killing him. This results in him being sent to a military prison for two years and being discharged from the Chinese army. After being released from prison, Feng leaves for Africa, planning to wander for the rest of his life. Serving as a mercenary providing security aboard a freighter delivering relief supplies to Africa, he foils an attempted hijacking by Somalian pirates by swimming towards their skiff and defeating the pirates in hand-to-hand combat underwater. The freighter arrives safely at its destination. Feng has been carrying a bullet which he found, a clue to his fiancée's, Lieutenant Colonel Long Xiaoyun, kidnapping that happened while she was on a mission, for three years.
