Ahgghh..(sigh) Its been a while since i visited here. I miss this page and i miss you. These Winnie cuppies always made me smile. It reminded us to be happy, to make someone happy and to be just who we are. A reason for me to call this my Hunny cuppies, just because winnie the bear loves his hunny. And I love making these, i love baking and smell the vanilla,cinnamon and sweet aroma in the air. It just complete my day seeing a happy creation and a happy and satisfied customer.

So no matter how busy my schedule my wish are to make someone smile today just like my Hunny cuppies. A fondant and a chocolate flavor, Glorious day!

Two years ago, i had the honour baking her wedding cake. In fact her 2nd anniversary is just around the corner. She has been a great supporter to me and my cake. The lady is non other than Nancy and today i am sharing with you her sweetheart Nicole Grace whom just turn 1. Oh yes She is now the proud mother to little Gracie as what she called her daughter. I was delighted to bake and decorate Grace 1 year old birthday cake.. Happy birthday lovely Grace we love you!!

Its a 2 tier cake a combination of rainbow cake and chocolate moist.

Another couple who tied the knot in February 2012. The Bride Judy is from Kota Kinabalu Sabah and worked in Kuala Lumpur where she met her husband. She send me a photo of the wedding cake that they favor and the topper! Since the topper were not available here in Kota Kinabalu she brought it all the way from Kuala Lumpur. Judy and her husband is the first couple i work with that goes all the way to add humor in their first day as husband and wife. I would say that is a pretty good sign to start a marriage i supposed..:-)

Tiramisu

I am a person who collect recipes whenever i sees them. I will keep it till one day i might tried on one of them..and always that will never happen. That one day will turn to months and years and recipe book still be there collecting dust.

After watching Julie and Julia, i resolute to bake at least one recipe out of the many books or photocopy recipe or even in that messy compilation of handwritten recipe. After flipping the pages.. i decided on a Tiramisu .. o yes the delicate Tiramisu. The recipe that i copied does not contain any alcohol and did not use the usual mascarpone cheese. The result is just as heavenly as any tiramisu and i will definitely use this recipe again.

My family gave it a thumbs up as a sign of their approval. Recipe courtesy Sondra Lee. Thank you Sondra Lee i found the easiest tiramisu recipe ever and still taste rich and creamy.

A game that brought him closer to his friends at the end of his beautiful life. So it is a game for the retiree i supposed and like Mr Nicholas Leong my father was a teacher too. Snooker really begins at 40 after all..

Sad as it is to say goodbye to the year 2011, i welcome 2012 with a ray of hope, of happy baking and looking forward to sharing my knowledge of baking and decorating cakes.

The year 2011 to me had been a year full of colors, sharing the joy of sheer blisfull happiness of others whom are celebrating a new life together, a new bundle of joy or just welcoming another promising and hopeful year with loves one and friends...What a delicious beautiful way to share the sweetness of the day no other than the cake cutting ceremony..:D.

A 2 tier wedding cake for my nephew Harland and his bride naomi. It is another theme of the traditional costume from Dusun Lotud in Tuaran. As the bride is from Tambunan, i put the "Sompoton" music instrument as the topper and because the Groom also played the Sompoton.

3 tier wedding cake for Stilla n Jillah in Menggatal. They wanted a Tiger Lily as the flower for their cake. I couldnt manage to do a sugar flower because of the short notice so we resort to artificial flowers. wedding reception was held in September 2011

Jeena's 2 tier wedding cake. The 2nd tier is about 7 in tall.. and so the cake weigh at approximately 10kg. It was dusted with silver n a bit of pink pearl dust. The topper are fresh red roses.

The fondant covered cake for a birthday celebration in June 2011 as requested by Datin Asidah. Another cake accompanied with 100 pc of cupcake with a similar design as the single cake.

2011 definitely a colorful year to me.. some were painted with black and white and others in the brightness of rainbow. As beautiful as the rainbow it holds a promise of a better day in each sunrise. Pink energy..

Every time i look at pink, my mind start to think of sweet lovable things that make me feel like i am in cloud nine just because pink is the color of LOVE. I am that day dreamer girl once again. It is such a sweet colour to work and look at, so relaxing, warm feelings and just contentment.Its just the colour of beauty and tenderness. I could look at Pink for ages and ideas just flows or worst i will be stuck in daydreaming and there goes a deeper shade of pink. ( Pink is between the combination of red and white)

Its such a shame if pink only associated with girls. I think pink should be love by both gender boys and girls. Don't u think so? Anyway as far as cake is concern, its Pink color for girls birthday..totally.

Full Moon cake for Queency Chloe. Her mom Mariani requested for a pink design. Queency Chloe is her first baby and daughter..Ahh the footprint meaning a baby has arrived and LOVE just flows all around.. This a carrot walnut cheese covered in Fondant icing. I just love working with fondant, it make all creations seems to be absolutely heavenly.

This barbie doll cake was requested by Charlotte for her cousin's nieces. Barbie was standing on a white platform. This is a carrot walnut cheese cake and also covered in fondant icing.

My niece Alyssa finally turn 21 this year and she is one fanatic fan of Pink color. She will have anything to do in Pink and yes she is a lovable girl and loves having fun. This is a layer of rainbow cake and i layered it with cream cheese, so you have the taste of everything inside, coconut for green, lemony for yellow, red for vanilla and blue well i just mix with vanilla flavor..and finally that creamy cheese!

Another niece who turn 3 this year, Alyssa little sister. Like big sis Pink will certainly put a sparkle in her eyes. Twinkle twinkle little star..la la la la la.. Again this is a carrot walnut cheese cake and this time its a combination of fondant icing and cream cheese. The barbie blouse was made with fondant and the flowing skirt with cream cheese which i tinted with pink color. I do apologise for the poor shot however this is the only copy that i have..huhu..:((.. i should be thinking of investing on a good digital camera soon..sigh..:-))

Cars and Tiger Birthday cake

I have a lovely fair share in creating and designing birthday cakes for the kids. Its like putting a smile on the kiddies face and share their laughter and joy in blowing the candle on their cake. Sometimes they don't even want to cut it holding back, cried a little knowing that cutting would mean ruining the overall cake. Hmm was it a first lesson in growing up "letting go" just like the ending story of Toy story 3?. Yet its lesson no 2 that save the day "sharing" the cake and they are now officially a year wiser or 4 and a half year wiser ? Fast forward the next birthday will be another design from the favorite cartoon show!!

I love sport car... its a chocolate moist cake in butter cream icing...

Its Noah 1st birthday cake... His mom gave me a few sample of pictures of Tiger a friend of Winnie the Pooh and we just incorporate it in one layer of cake. Its a butter orange with orange butter frosting covered in fondant icing. Tiger was made using gum paste.

Another car fanatic baby... Farhan just loves car and he got 3 cars on his birthday cake .. cute little sporty but still adore his teddy. This is a Carrot Walnut cheese cake covered in blue fondant and the little sporty car and Teddy was made using gum paste.

Creamy wedding cake

A 12kg butter walnut cake covered in a creamy fondant icing with red roses and connely design in the 2nd tier. I used the vine and floral design on the bottom and third tier to give it a soft contrast. The cake was drape in a vanilla fondant icing from top to bottom. Color coordination was in accordance with the color on the invitation card and detail design of cake was initiated by TJ's mom.

Purple cake for a wedding in May.. Both cakes were for a wedding celebrated on the same day and both couple chose purple as their theme color for their BIG day.

A wedding doll as the topper for the first cake. The cake was covered with fondant icing and lace with connelly design. The bride chose a light purple ribbon which was made from icing with a bow on it. The second ribbon is a satin lavender ribbon.

I did a rendition of Fullmoon cake ( 1 month welcoming baby celebration) last week and this weekend it's the adult turn to celebrate. A 2 tier cake for Yatie's grandma who turn 83 on Saturday. Yatie is actually one of my earliest customer and has since becomes my friend. She introduced me to her family and friends and her favorite cake is the Carrot Walnut Cheese. In fact its this flavor that she and her dad chose for her grandmother's cake.

The other cake requested by my sister's best buddy OJ and Ranie. It was a birthday cake for her mom whom turns 56 on Sunday. Her mom is the active member of the Lawn bowl association and an avid player. You guess it right.. OJ wants a lawn ball design and the flavor is butter walnut! It does look simple but i have never seen a real lawn ball before so i google it on the net and copy it as best as i could. I just hope her mom would recognise it as a lawn ball..(sigh..:-))

Jasmine is also one of my earliest customer and she has always supported me on my journey as a baker and is now a good friend of mine. Her husband played tennis and so i designed a tennis court with a giant tennis racket as the net. It's a butter walnut with butter frosting.

Interesting piece of works. Divert a bit from my usual requests. I kind of thrilled on this idea it gives me a chance to work on my creativity. A set of birthday cuppies which is price at RM50 inclusive of delivery service. The flavor could be vanilla, buttermilk, chocolate or walnut. Each cup cake will be covered in butter and Fondant icing. Other icing such as Cream cheese would be charge differently. I will also work on a design as requested by customer and it is all for RM50.

My first attempt on a castle design. This is for Peyton Louise first birthday. Its a carrot walnut cheese covered in fondant icing. All the princess faces on the "window" is from icing imaging which i bought from the cake supplier shop. The castle design was given by Peyton's mom and i modified it a bit such as the grass, trees and the faces of princess on every "window".

The Cake on display at Yayasan Sabah

Another corporate cake added to my collection and i must say i am very proud creating and baking this cake. All the customer wanted was a clean white fondant covered cake with their Logo on top of the cake and the birthday greeting. Once again my artist's friend assists me in cutting the Logo on a fondant icing and spray it with the corporate color. The size of cake is 20 in 20 in and weigh about 14kg.. The fact that the cake was presented to YAB the Chief Minister of Sabah during his birthday celebration along side with cakes from various organisation makes it more exciting and exhilarating!
