WOW It feels like years since my last goodies post, my god I need to take some time to slow down a little. I've beeen running and rushing like a crazy those last months, sometimes it even happend and I poor orange juice instead of milk in my cereals during breakfast, which we all know is a sign of a serious problem ( I am turning nuts!). Now let's talk of another highly important subject : the weather ( how random, I know). Just wanted to tell you guys to be carefull : this beautfiful weather is a nasty tricky one. Want to know why? Well the sun was shining big this week-end, and of course I ran ouside with my spring clothes thinking ''yay it's finally here''. Well no, winter's back and I got a cold. Funny story isn't it? So even if the sun's up, I highly advice you to take a jacket with even if it's super hot outside. Listen to the guru.. Now back to the goodies, in this post you will discover mainly the purchases I've made during my trip to NYC. I haven't bought much, but got only things I really had a big crush on which is, I think, the best way to shop. Usually I always end up with silly souvenirs, or too much jewerly that I finally don't even wear. This time I did quite good, only the bare essentials I've been craving for a while. Enjoy!

AN EXCITING COLLABORATION It's been a little while since I received the gorgeous clothes from www.zmilelee.com, with everything going on lately : I didn't find enough time to shoot the pictures of those beautiful pieces earlier. But during our stay in Montreux James and I thought it was the perfect occassion to shoot them. I am very excited to show you these pictures since they are also going to be featured on the brand's homepage. Their clothing is very feminin and elegant, with a lot of pastels and high quality textils. I really wanted to try the wet hair look for quite a long time, and I think it changes a lot from my daily hair styles. Also I love how it looks on the pictures, not only it flatters the earing that I got thanks to www.wanderlustandco.com but it also gives a nice twist to the outfit. I have a real crush for white lately, I decided to pair this inbelievable Zimilelee dress to some Chanel inspired high heels which are also by Zimilelee. They are incredibly high, but however comfortable enough for a special occasion or a party. For such an outfit, I thought that a delicate make-up would be perfect, therefore I uses the new Volupté sheer candy by Yves Saint Laurent (shade 9) and a lot of high lighter by M.A.C which adds an amazing fresch glow to the skin. A little bit of eye liner and of course black mascara and brown eye shadow.

FIRST DAY IN MONTREUX Montreux must be my favourite place in Switzerland, it is like an escape from the world. James and I decided to spend there our week-end there, enjoy the unbelievable weather and relax before the beginning of school. This place is like our little oasis, a tiny paradise perfectly situated on the lake to have the most beautiful view of Switzerland. Absolutely gorgeous... I fall in love with Montreux over and over again. James and I spent the week-end having walks, talks and the funny part : we essentially cooked! Yes, yes. You didn't misunderstood. We were staying at his familiy's place and they have the greatest kitchen, with all you might ever need. It was the perfect occasion to test our cooking skills. An guess what, we did an amazing job. I rarely cook, but this time I did the most delicious crumble ever. We ate homemade fresh hamburgers, and country patatoes, I thought I was going to explode. Here's what I did this week-end, what about you guys? How did you enjoy it?

Now about the outfit I wore on saturday, it was soo hot outside that I was even quite chocked. I wasn't used to that kind of weather in Switzerland, especially during the month of March. It was the perfect occasion to wear shorts, tights and my new www.windsorstore.com knitwear top that I love so much . Also, I just got my new Sal Y Limon bracelets, that I am totally crazy about. There are so many various combinations to create, I am addicted. I am looking forward to wear them during summer with a bikini. I found this black, golden detailed necklace during my trip in New York in a forever 21 shop, and absolutely loved it. I matched it to my vintage Louis Vuitton bag and to add a nice detail : a little H&M foulard, which is for sure inspired by le Carré by Hermès.

VIDEO TIME You can't even imagine how strange it was to make this video, it was the first time that I was filming myself at home with my camera, speaking with myself (what a weirdo). But I hope you'll enjoy the work. And of course sorry for the mistakes I make sometimes, my english gets a little difficult sometimes. But hopefully you'll understand what I mean. AFTERNOON IN TOWN I was so happy to finish school earlier, it was the perfect occasion to savour the beautiful spring weather in Geneva. Simply gorgeous, it felt so good to walk around without a coat, a delight! After a nice lunch, I went to grab some Ladurees macarons and then it was time for a little afternoon shopping. A lot of you have been asking me what I usually wear to highschool. Well this is basically the type of outfit I choose, elegant and casual yet with nice details such as the topshop cuff or the Zara ankle booties that really remind of those from Acne. I can't get rid of those, not only they are so comfortable, but so stylish as well. I am wearing here my Reed Krakoff bag that I got during my trip in Tokyo, it is full of books ( maths, german... ugh). But holidays are finally here, and it's the perfect occasion to rest a bit.
We have made the first picture at Rive, the steet where all the shops are. However the light changed and we moved to the old city. It is such a gorgeous part of Geneva, with it's old buildings it really like a movie's landscape.

CASUAL CHIC Back to reality, after a perfect week away from my life in Switzerland it is time to go back to school and concentrate a little ( especially on maths...). Since it is holidays, I have a couple of days to do so. Which is a really a good thing. And yes, I had to trade Paris fashion week, to school studies. That's what scholar sacrifices are about isn't it? Anyway, finishing my high school is my main goal right now, so a little work on that is needed! The weather here is lovely, I am enjoy taking long walks with James under the sun. Feels so nice. It is pleasant to see that europe finally welcomes spring. Hurray!
During my trip in New York I have discovered many new shops and designers. This gorgeous
Vince Camuto royal blue clutch is one of my favourite new item. The golden ornament reminds me somehow of Hermes, who also uses this kind of metalic/stud decoration on their belts and bracelets. And I absolutely love it. My outfit of the day plays around that clutch, so I decided to pair it to a classic forever 21 blue shirt which remind the colour of the clutch, some brown shorts that bring a cool contrats and finally basic details such as the heels and the classic black blazer. Let's not forget the lovely Michael Kors watch that I've been craving for so long, it is finally around my wrist.

FLOWERS Back to the hometown, back in Switzerland. Even though it didn't seem enchanting to be back in the cold and leave New York, I was quite amazed by the unbelievable weather waiting me back home. I guess spring is almost here and I swear, we went from -3 degrees in the morning to almost 15 in the afternoon! How crazy is that? It was a good occasion to savour a couple of hours whitout a coat, and you know what? It feels so incredibly good. Just a simple blazer, one pair of tights instead of 3.. Also, nice weather, sun and everything is a marvelous remedy against bad mood. Therefore, I almost forgot NYC and was so happy to enjoy a couple of hours under the sun.
When I was reading Elle, or Vogue or Bazaar I noticed that the flower print trend is almost everywhere now, I guess I am not the only one craving for spring am I? Anyway, I simply love it, and as soon as I saw this blazer in Zara I knew it was going to be perfect matched to my new Aldo neon pink clutch that I found during my trip to the big apple. What do you think about it? To finish the look I decided to wear an Isabel Lu blouse, Style Sofia skirt and a touch of Girl about town from M.A.C on the lips. Smooch.

RUNNING IN NEW YORK We began our day at lunch time. Because of the jetlag I was litteraly dying to stay in bed, and even though breakfast is my favourite meal, I quickly forget about it to savour a couple more minutes in the hotel room. So to start the day we went to the Tao restaurant for a little brunch, James and I needed some extra protein and sugar to get ready for our busy day. I have heard a lot about this place, and really wanted to try it out. Well you know what? I wasn't disappointed, the food was indeed delicious and I highly recommend the crispy coconut giant shrimps which were delicious ( also, don't forget to trys them out the dumpling, you absolutely must to). After our lunch break, it was time to catch a cab and head off to the Victor Luna fashion presentation. We even arrived a little early, so I had time to make a few pictures. The Luna collection was surprising, I loved the idea of picture prints matched to very basic and graphic structres. During the presentation I even got the chance to meet Brooke and Kimberley ( Okay, I'm not quite sure if that's their name, but I think it suits them prety well, will you recognize them in the pictures?). At the end of the show, we headed to the fifth avenue for some light shopping ( James bouth an amazinf watch by Guess) and ended our day at the Rue 27 restaurant where we enjoyed the most delicious apple pie I have ever tried in my life. Hmm.. New York is for sure full of pleasant surprises.

SILK AND CREAMS Valentine's day was the perfect occasion to shop for pretty silk pyjama, musc scented creams and body mists. Each time I enter a Victoria's secret shop my head goes round, and it is like entering a girl's boudoir full of pink couches and enchanting body treatment bottles. Because there's no VS in Europe, I always make sure to test all the new products out, smell all the frangances and buy some body lotions to bring back to friends and family (every woman enjoys receiving this type of souvenir present) when I have the chance to be in the States. It is crazy how a shop can create such a vibrant atmosphere. The brand has been so succesfull these past years, I bet the VS art and marketing directors really did well their job. Not only the models of the brand look gorgeous and are looking at you like saying "smell the frangance, buy the frangance", but the packaging is also amazing. However, I kind of learned to resist to all those temptations ( after a couple of years of practice of course, it stays hard to resist on the 3 for 25 dollar thing). I came that day to buy a bathing robe, since I really wanted to find a pretty one, and get some body milks for my friends. And guess what, no big deal. I've bought only the things I needed. Yep, I get reasonable, or at least I try to which is a good thing aswell. I guess I grew up to endlessily fall for all those pink stuff, I mean do we really need all that? However, sometimes, it feels so nice to feel really girly, isn't it?

HEARTS AND BALLOONS After a crazy day of New York running, rushing and an impressiv amount of time spent in cabs I must admit that it felt quite good to finally relax a bit, have a little cocktail ( I mean a juice of course hehe, in the USA I am still not allowed to drink alcohol) and party. I am sure you have already heard about the online fashion hotspot www.fashiolista.com, well it has been a little while since we have been working together and it was so nice to finally be able to meet their adorable team in real life! They do such an amazing job with their website, and I was so honoured and happy to be able to take part in their New York fashion week tour. Not only their team is so sweet, but they are also very fun. We have spent the night at the Blind Barber dancing, enjoying little snacks and of course taking a zilion of pictures. Unfortunately the jetlag killed both James and I, we were so tired and couldn't even walk on our feet. After a good night of celebration we went back to our hotel for a good sleep. For the occasion I decided to wear a Versace dress with some black tights paired to a Chanel bag and a Michael Kors watch. The ring is from Aldo and I am wearing the Vegas Volt lipstick from M.A.C. JUNGLE WHERE DREAMS ARE MADE OF New York has been for sure an incredible destination, it is so different from Switzerland: not only by its atmosphere but also by it's food, life habits or even by the people's character and manners. Each time I entered a shop I always received tons of complements, and it felt so unusual to be asked all the time "how are you?". These are little things, but they all felt so uncommon to me, and you know what? I kind of liked changing a bit of air. Even if I don't really now if the girls at Bergdorf Goodman were honest with all their nice compliments, it is always nice to have such friendly people around you. I am not saying in fact that swiss people are arrogant, no. Just that it is really different in Europe, especially in shops where they prefer to entertain with their client a more business to business approach.

Times Square is like the beating heart of New York City. Broadway, Hard Rock Cafe, all those flashing gigantic adds, the cabs, the shops.. It was such a great feeling to be standing in the middle of all this. Of course I couldn't resist all the shops : sephora here I come ( I think I kind of killed James that day... He'll never enter a make-up shop with me anymore I think). We also went to the famous m&ms shop and picked up some pastel coloured candies. I got so excited but the lavender ones, they looked great and I simply wanted to eat them ALL. For the day I decided to wear a faux-fur coat from Motelrocks with some yellow www.windsorstore.com jeans and my beloved chanel tote. Also watch out : I have made 12 hours of intense New York shopping in high heels, I can win a price for that ( for those who saw me at the urban outfitters dying, laying on the stairs well, yeah.. No comment.)

FASHION BLOGGERS It was such an honour to be able to assist at the bloglovin awards. I have been blogging for a year now, and during the night I couldn't stop thinking where Kayture brought me, in New York at such a great party with all those talented people. I was thrilled ( this is actually the reason why I am smiling like a monkey in each shot). I had the big pleasure to meet bloggers that I follow, enjoy some Arizona ice teas and champagne and of course have fun at the awards. Even tough I wasn't nominated this year, I was already so happy to be there! www.bloglovin.com team have done such an amazing job on organizing the whole event, the place was gorgeous and the goodies bag we received at the end were filled with adorable items.

For the occasion I decided to let my pastel obcession take up my outfit. THE BIG APPLE ( COOKIE) The chelsea market is the best spot in New York to enjoy a lunch in a vintage and so edgy athmosphere. After reading so much about it on twitter, we decided to take a look at the place and I can tell you : the Chelsea Market is like all the best of New York, all in one. There are so many bakeries, cookies shop and cupcakes stands. My eyes litteraly popped out. I wanted to taste it all. Since it was fashion week a lot of models were hanging around there. I especially noticed one of them with a bag full of apples and carrots, I wanted to rush to her and say : girl, you have to try out the cookies from Eleni's, forget your apples for one second! But maybe that's just me, when I see those little delights I kind of get crazy ( sugar rush, you know what I mean).

It was lunch time, James and I went to a very cozy restaurant that offered organic dishes. I picked out the Croque Madame and James had of course the hamburger. The food was delicious and gave us enough energy to make it through all the shops. The weather that day was simply amazing. So many people told me before my departure that the weather in New York is dreadfull, well turns out : it is not. It was so sunny, fresh and cool that I kind of forgot about the cold Swiss temperature for just one second.

BACK! Yes guys, I am. For sure. And I promise I will never disappear for such a long time again. So basically here's what's happened ( I think you deserve to know the reasons of my total lack of posts). As you may have understood in my previous posts I was very sick lately because of stress and things that happened. Sometimes it is quite hard to manage this last year of highschool, all the important essays and exams with the blogging and modelling. However a couple of days of resting and I'm back on the track. I just think it is really important to take care of your health, and I really needed a few days "off" if you know what I mean. And actually I am even more motivated right now and ready to show you guys all the amazing shots that James and I made during our trip in New York!

I am so gratefull to www.fashiolista.com who invited me to the big apple, the journey was a great experience for both James and I. We had the chance to discover so many interesting places and meet so many talented people. I must admit that I had a big crush over New York, the city is so activ, there's always things going on, people are so nice and friendly, the athmosphere is great, food is de-li-ciou, and of course the city is so beautiful! We decided for our first day to enjoy a serious american meal : we went to Burger and Barrel for a real US burger before heading for shopping in Soho. The weather in New York is so much nicer than in Switzerland, I was quite amazed. No bone freezing wind, the temperature was so cool! Perfect for some outdoor pictures!

EXOTIC CREATURES Tomorrow is an exciting day, we are leaving in a couple of hours to New York city and I must admit that I am extremely excited. First of all because it has been years since my last trip to the US. Plus, I can wait to assist to all the fun event regarding the fashion week. As you might have noticed in my last post, I have been very tired lately ( too tired actually... my brain stopped working for a while) and I really wanted to say sorry for my lack of posts. I truly needed to take some time away from the computer and rest even though I must say that I missed the blog each day. I do feel better now, but not good enough yet so I really hope that this trip will reload my batteries. I have spend a couple of hours yesterday by James's place which is full of little animals. After checking a bit my blog, I played with his strangly creepy but still so adorable gecko, can't remember his name but I think Karl fits him quiet well. I am going to bed, early flight tomorrow morning!

SO SORRY I've been away for so long. Last week, I felt really bad, too much happened and I kind of had a little crash down and really needed to rest. No joke, I couldn't turn on the computer because I was so tired. This winter is very tough to me, after beeing sick twice here I am once again leaving my blog whithout no update... Shame on me. I have been such a bad blogger lately, but I hope you'll forgive me because I promise that in a couple of days you will be able to find a whole bunch of new pictures! I really missed kayture, and am really looking forward to make brand new crazy posts. And especially once regarding my trip to the big apple! Yay, James and I are leaving on friday. NYFW I am excited to officially announce you (officially yes, because I couldn't resist mentionning the trip on twitter, my bad) my collaboration with www.fashiolista.com, I am travelling with james in a couple of days to NYC to spend some time with the the other great bloggers that are also heading to the big apple. SOMETHING LIKE BLONDIE So, do you remember my look with that coat a few weeks ago ( click here to find out!), well since I love it so much I really wanted to make another outfit post where I am wearing it. Finally it ends up looking just like my old blondie one and I am quite disappointed by the result that has the same vibe as the previous one. Heels are my passion, on my blog you can see me wear high heels all the time, actually I do wear high heels in my daily life aswell, actually I feel uncomfortable with flat shoes. I love playing with contrasts, therefore flashy shoes with original patterns are my favourite ones. I especially enjoy platforms and glossy materials. It is very interesting playing with neutral shades combined to flashy ones, therefore I have neon green bags, orange ones that I love matching to basic outfits. My biggest passion right now is actually orange, I am crazy about this colour."

IT HAS BEEN ONE YEAR I simply can’t believe that it has been one year since I first started Kayture. It all began when I met James and that he introduced me to the online world. I have always needed to share my passions, and it wasn’t always the easiest thing to do in Switzerland. But discovering all those amazing communities such as lookbook, twitter, blogger has really opened my eyes on a new world that goes even further than the virtual domain. Because of my blog, I have met so many friends, done so much interesting collaborations, travelled, received some gorgeous gifts and most of all shared a part of my life with you and got a huge response, which I am everyday so grateful for.

2011 has been a year full of discoveries; I took part in the Miss Switzerland contest, have cat walked in a bikini in front of a gigantic crowd, won the Miss photogenic title, have learned so much. Losing isn’t the most important: I had this chance to take part in this competition and I enjoyed it at 100 percent and always stayed who I really am, in front or behind the camera. I travelled in Madrid for a shooting with fashion salade, to Greece with James and our friends. We were invited by Armand Ventilo to meet him in his showroom in Paris, then to Tokyo for the Vogue’s fashion night out where we had the extraordinary opportunity to meet so many interesting people. My favourite magazines contacted me to write an article about Kayture: Teen Vogue, Elle girl, Comopolitain Russia and much more. James and I were invited to amazing events; the Grieder’s opening in Zurich, the Diesel event in Geneva, Louis Vuitton party in Lausanne. I have met incredibly talented people, Roberto Cavalli, Michael Kors, Anna Dello Russo, Bryan Boy, James Blunt that inspire me everyday with what I do.

I couldn’t say anything else that will have more sense than: THANK YOU. For your support, for your messages, your loyalty, your kindness and even your critics. Thank you for being here, for your support. You helped me realize that blogging is more than just showing off clothes, purses and bags. No, it is more than that. It is all about sharing with people your passion whatever it is: food or decoration. Following a blog means discovering new things, travelling the world with the blogger that you follow. Kayture is the window to my life, and I feel like each day, since one year you have been fully a part of it.

GUESS WHAT IS IN MY TUMBLER? Coffee... For sure. Those past days have been so stressfull, and I barely manage to find a minute to post. Oh I am really looking forward to summer and especially to the end of my high school, perhpas it doesn't looks like from the outside but blogging is like a job, well it is at least for me as I began to take this activity very serioulsy last year. I want to share as much as I can with my readers and to do so it is good to be present as much as possible on the blog. I am lucky to have James and my family to help me out of course, but I wish I could spend a little more quality time ( especially by answering to all your sweet comments and e-mails, I read all of them).Now back to the outfit of the day, here I am dressed in little mustard pot walking around with my tumbler. I bought this dress in topshop when I was in Dubai, and I think it will look great during summer. GLITTER COLLAR Last week was tough, James was in the middle of really important exams and I was working over some essays aswell. It was a very busy and stressfull week. Therefore on friday we could finally breath again : our week-end was incredibly relaxing. The program? We spent our saturday at the spa drinking ananas/lime/ginger smoothies, went to the nicest restaurant to have some tapas then ended up at the movies where we watched "the girl with the dragon tatoo", definitely a must, the suspens is great even if sometimes it is quite difficult to follow the story.Oh and senstive people, be aware, some scenes are a bit trashy.
I have chosen to wear for the outfit of the day something very casual but over-topped by my beloved Steve Madden nude platform heels. I combined one of my most comfortable knit sweatshirt to my new www.threefloorfashion.com blouse which is embelished by it's pearl collar. The outfit is very neutral, I wanted to stay in the beige/cream shades : the faux-fur vest from www.storets.com finishes the whole look!
