Getting bummed the last couple days with all the rain. They’ve been raining out my runs. Might have to just bite the bullet and run this afternoon with the ol’ iPhone wrapped in a pair of baggies and deal with any rain that comes my way.

Anyway, I can attest to several of these tweaks being helpful, especially the group run as motivation, though there’s something nice about a solo run on occasion.

This is pretty impressive — this guy takes 200 of the greatest rock guitar riffs and plays them back to back to back to back… in one take. So many of these riffs are ones you cut your teeth and/or strive to play. There are a fair amount of Van Halen riffs in there — as there should be.

Not surprisingly, I have have 90% of these tracks in my iTunes library. Think I’m going to make a new playlist of based on this guy’s list.

Saw this this morning, tweeted it out, but thought I’d blog a bit about it as well. After just under a decade partnership, Nike has cut ties to Livestrong.

It’s a shame that the foundation tied to Lance Armstrong ends up getting screwed out of the whole doping fiasco within professional cycling.

Love my Livestrong running and cycling gear, and a little saddened there will be no more — at least not from the Nike brand.

The other thing that sucks is it probably signals the complete exit of Nike from the cycling front. I don’t know this for a fact, but they already had a limited lineup of cycling gear. I would think they’d use this as a the catalyst to exit the cycling market altogether.

While I’ve since stopped wearing my Livestrong gear, I’ll continue to run and cycle in my gear. It’s comfortable, and I personally think the Livestrong outfit is still worth supporting. Nike thinks differently, and I get it. But I’ll continue to wear my running and cycling stuff without any shame.

Nike Cuts Ties to Livestrong

Nike’s sure had a bad run with athletes as of late, huh? Always loved this Armstrong Nike commercial below, but for some reason, it just doesn’t hold up the same as it once did.
