2nd Depression, School

This is the second cause of depression in my life and one that haunts me even to this day, something that affected my life in a very radical way and changed a lot for worse, this destroyed my dreams and my future.

Let me start by saying this, around this time i was still suffering by my first cause of depression, so added with this new depression and is related with what im going to say in this entry.

I was always a kid that felt bored in school, not because iw as a bad student but i lacked motivation, school was easy... too easy. I had the best grades even after i skipped a lot of classes till 4th grade in primary school.

That year in 4th grade i found a motivation, Mi teacher. A women i do admire and respect a lot, like a mother. She was smart and knew sow ell how to motivate students, even the bad students became good with her. Her son was around my age and was my bench partner in the same classroom, we did become good friends fast.

Even since i was younger my health wasnt exactly the best, specially tummy and headaches, so often iw asnt able to go out of the classroom to play out in the sun with my classmates. Back then my teacher allowed me to stay in the classroom with her, so we talked a lot, i also helped her to check and give grades to my classmates.

With her i found soemthing new to me, something i never had with any of my relatives Support and encouragement. My grandma was there for me, but the rest of my relatives never valued or encouraged me to reach new heights i was more than cabable to reach, was always an extranger to their eyes, like if they was worth more than me for living in a luxury house or because they went to paid colleges and not a public school like me.

My teacher saw that potentialin me, she encouraged me! i keep a special place for her on my heart, and you may ask, what this has to do with your depression? im heading there, hold on...

When we was about to start the 5th grade, she was happy giving us the news, she was going to stay with our class that year, we was happy, we loved her and that was fantastic to hear. But the head of the school decided to send her to 2nd grade and we got a new teacher.

The new teacher... that women destroyed my life. But was not only her, also 3 new students did a transfer from another school, and along with the teacher they made me live in hell for 2 months.

First, she barely teached us shit, she used tot ell us to open our books, to do from page x to page y and she ehaded out of school, not classroom, she literally left the school for hours, and when she returned she asked us to trade books with our bench partner so we could grade each other... always, she never graded our work nor our homework, we students did it all, that was... lame.

One of those days, iw as feeling sick and didnt feel like going out, and jsut liek i asked my old teacher to stay and rest while i felt better, she agreed and said i could stay. I did lay my head on my bench/table thingy as my head was hurting so much. The ehad of the school did enter the classrom and my teacher yells at me "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! GO OUT TO PLAY!" i was a bit scared and i did went out, as i went down the stairs i was able to find a litle spot behind the building with a bit of shadow, there i was siting vs the wall with my eyes clsoed trying to rest for the headache. There was not many treesor palces to get shadow in that school, schools here sucks arse!

Wait, worse is coming, the new students, was expeled from other schools, one of them, a bully, was 4 years older than me, so you can iamgine he was taller, stronger and a bit stupid.

Every morning the only bench left, was that one in front of that stupid kid, i had to sit there every morning, even after i rushed to the school to try to grab a different bench i couldnt, school was far from my house and never made it on time.

This stupid asshole, he used to grab a sharpener, and a pencil, he sharpened the pencil soo much, i am sure you know what im talking about right? that pensil ended in my butt every day of school for 2 months. I told him "stop, please stop, no more, stop doing it!" but he never stoped.

One day, ym grandma went to school to give me my lunch, in mexico is common for mothers to go during class break and give kid their lunch (we dont have the culture to take lunch boxes here) so... i told her, how that kid was doing that to me, BIG MISTAKE... he noticed i did, and a bit after his 2 friends take me to the bathroom, there they was holding my arms while the big guy was using my stomach as a boxing sack.

While he was doing that, he warned me not to say anything or thing was going to get worse, i was very scared, why you ask? we did learn why he was expelled from his old school, he did a wrestling move on a kid, breaking his leg.

That was my life for 2 months, pencils on my butt2 or 3 times during class, a visit to the bathroom on class break being a boxing sack, and wasnt able to fight back, was 3 donkeys against me! One day i couldnt stand it anymore and iw as decided to ask for help, i raised my arm and as the teacher looked at me she yelled at me "WHAT?! YOU ARE ALWAYS GIVING CAUSING PROBLEMS!!" i was shocked, scared and couldnt speak, i muted there unable to say anything.

As she ignored me after that... pencil to the butt, again. I was reaching my limit, and no1 to ask for help, punches and all the abuse day after day for 2 motnhs, i thought iw as going nuts, my head was about to explode.

There was good news, school was going to take pics of the class, so you know, you grab your best rags, and think yay pictures! i was happy as i was going to have a pic with 2 of my best friends thatw as also my classmates.

Having a picture with my best friend could have been something i could look at and rememebr good times, something to treasure all my life. Oh but that fucking witch, that teacher took that away from me too.

The way the photographers was doing it was by having 2 groups per class, so the guy pick us and put us all in place for the picture, im right NEXT tom my best friends, yay! right after that he is about tot ake the picture and the teacher goes "wait!" agrabs my arm and pull me away "take it!" ok.. WTF?!

I was so surprised, so shoked, i had no idea wtf was going on... next group, she put me in the middle of the guys punching me, DAMNIT FUCKING SHIT MOTHER FUCKING WHORE OMG WHY SHE DID THAT. I did not want to have a picture with the guy abusing of me, wanted to have a pic with my friends, was that to much to ask? really i dont know why she did it.

Class ended that day, i was running all the way back home, get to my room and i just bashed my backpack against the wall a lot of time while i was crying not knowing what else to do.
Then i decided it, was the end, was not going back, was not going back to that hell anymore, couldnt take more of that punishment.

In the next days when my grandma tried to make me go to school and as i refused to go while iw as screaming "I AM NOT GOING, I DONT WANT TO GO, NOT GOING BACK!" she was puzzled, not knowing why iw as doing that. Until i told her everything, thatd ay she went to my school to talk to the teacher and the head of the school.

The fucking whore teacher told the director of the school a lot of lies, saying i was a abd students, with bad grades and always causing problems. She even told the director i used to puke out of anger when she tried to punish me, which was a lie.

My 4th grade teacher was there with my grandma to say i was not a abd student and that i never did anything i was accused of, but there was nothing to do, they never punished the teacher nor did shit to the bully.

The next months i spend very bad and dark days, as i was trying to overcome that terror i had while my grandma was looking for a new school for me, i could not stand when a teacher used to yell to the students giving me panic attacks, even when it was not a yell to me at all, i was just... scared to my wits, and i wasnt able to atend classes anymore.

People can judge and label me as a coward, they can insult me but that dont change the fact i was just a kid needing help, i was suffering depression for a situation out of my control, i was alone and never had any of my relative there to talk to me or to help get thru that.

My relatives in their great stupidity think "he didnt liked school, he didnt wanted to learn" but really, in their amazing arrogance and not knowing shit of anything they dared to jduge me and judge my grandma "oh is because she didnt fought back and didnt nothing to put the teacher in place" BULLCRAP AND MORE BULLCRAP!!! my grandma and my old teacher did all they could, something my relatives never did for me.

How easy was to judge my grandma when none of them was there, none of them ever cared tot alk to me 'hey amrio how are you dbuddy, feeling ok?" every one of my aunts and my uncle, all ignored me. How they dare to say i didnt liked school? i did... they dont know shit. My aunt amparo (mother of all my aunts/uncles) dared to say in front of me i was a corward, and is hould have gone and let them punch me more.

in the end, time after i heard the stupid bully was expelled again, he did break a kid's arm in school, well... that could have been me.

I keep blaming myself for not being strong, but i also know it was beyong my control and i was just a kid, if i had someone to talk and relly on back then things could have been different for me, i was alone, lonely and i sunked into a worse depression the next two years of my life.

1st depression, My Parents

The first cause of depression i managed to identify now that im a grown up and i suffer sicne i was a very small child, my parents. My mother died a bit after she gave birth to me, just enough time to carry me on her arms to tell my grandma the name she wanted for me and died. Only memory i have from her are some pictures. My father, i dont know if he is alive or dead, fearing he would take me away my grandma did hide for a time on my aunt amparo house, so what happened to my father is a mystery for me. Only memory i have are comments my grandma did about him, i feel respect and love for him even when i really dont know him.

He wanted to marry my mom, he loved her and waited my birth with hapiness supporting my mother, i was a desired child and that makes me happy.

Still very young, it was hard to understand that pain i was feeling, i remember how when my grandma picked me from kinder garden i watched my friends and they parents, grabbing their hands while they walked away, i did feel bad for that, was not envy, was sadness that back then i was unable to comprehend.

Being innocent i didnt know what envy was not even the meaning of that, so much sadness, you name it... a park, school or the neighboor it was common for me to ask my grandma why i didnt had parents when i looked at children with their parents. Often ending with her crying, for her my mother's death was something she couldnt speak for so many years.

There was a teacher in kindergarden, she told my grandma how i looked sad when parents was was there with their children, told my grandma to take me to a doctor.
There was a public service with doctors and psycologists, you had to be in their office real early to grab a date, we had to cross half city to get there so we never made it on time, my grandma being irgorant of how much this was affecting me and probably thinking it was nothing she stoped trying. sadly it was and still is.

That huge void that are my parents nothing will fill that void, i adore and love my grandma like if she was my own mother but, even so... she cant fill the void.

Even since i was a child i have a recurrent dream, i am in a shop, it belong to my parents and i am playing with other children that calls me brother. We are happy, i see my mother, i see my father... i run towards my parents to hug them.

To this day i have the dream from time to time, i wake up feeling a great sadness, it's soemthing someone that has the jhoy of having parents cannot understand, only an orphan can.

If i could id like to know what happened to my father, know where is he and if he is still alive, do i have brothers somewhere else? does he think of me? if i had the resources to track him i'd try it, giving my old man a huge while i tell him "i love you dad" is soemthing i wish for since i was a kid. Sadly will never happen.

If you have childrenm support them, encourage them and make them know you lvoe them every day of your life.
You have parents or brothers? go home and really, give them a hug while you can, when they die you will never have the chance, they was for you all your life, let them know you love them.

Ah has been a time!

Hello folks, has been a time since my last update on the blog.. well i have been gaming and most recently bought a couple arcade games from the xbox marketplace taking advatage of the blow out sale they had some days ago, Virtual-On OT, Southpark, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix and Defense Grid, must say i am very pleased with these games and specially Southpark.

The game has been underated and is very good to eb an arcade title, if you like soutpark give it a go!

Anime related well, started to design mascots for our community "Anime Courtyard" and must say they're looking so good, need to draw more as i am a bit rusty.. have not drawn much in the alst couple months and that's sad.

Been watching some series such as Tegami Bachi Letter Bee and hoping to finish K-On! to catch up with the new season of the same.

Well not much to say right now so take care and cya later with (i hope) more updates, i have this baby staled and need to change that!, cya!

Internet Cult Leaders, or so they think

For a time now there's something glutting my throat and is not sushi believe.. is how some people are blatant posers and liars in the internet specially over Youtube, great place but full of hypocrits wearing masks trying to make you think they are masters and you will be the disciple...

There's someone in Youtube that was selected to be part of the Ford Fiesta Movement and has got a big amount of subscribers and thereoff got partnerships quite some time ago.
this person im reffering have a good amount of channels and especially one called my attention and must say inspired me to overcome my depressive issues "pwning Life" is supposed to be your motto in life and i agree with that person but when you see all these FREE teachings coming from someone that openly declared he is bipolar and has overcome his bipolarity with healthy food, good sleeping habits and sport, and when he keep encouraging people to learn "you dont need a school, everything is in the internet!" you get the idea "wow i need to learn and do like this guy :O"

Motivation did lead me to dig more into his videos and channels, funny guy and somewhat charismatic, with also good ideas but only one issue... him, his projects always are linked to how he feels, he is in a hype forums are alive if not BAM everything dies, sure we can blame the bipolarity but im sure more than one community was founded by a bipolar and is not dying every 3rd month right?

this facade in Youtube is just that, a fragile mask he dont even try to hide failing to follow one of his first advices in a video "secrets: never upload a video, write a letter or anything about something you dont want anyone to know"

Why do i mention this? because many (so many to be honest) he keep telling people he wont ask people to join a contest because he knows the secrets to bring thousands of followers on twitter and only want to help you learn how, more recently trying to build a core group to have people in every area like web design, admin his communities and have a strong base (which was a great idea) he decided this core group he wanted to "benefit" had to pay HIM to teach THEM how to sucess in the internet, and again we heard "i dont need the money i can earn all the money i want i just want to help you" and then he disappears (after 3 weeks we hear he was in an institute)

Guess what, anyone can learn web design, economics, programming videogames and lots more for FREE just by using Google, why he contradicted himself, why in the "pwning life" videos the teachings was free and then everything was "if you pay you are my lineage my family as you are in the core group", if he could make all the money as he says he wont be making videos telling us "im broke this and being broke that" while he chew like 16 pills after spending 3 weeks in a medical institution, just a facade and one of the many dirt-made idols in the internet, im amazed that one naive idiot actually paid to him 67us for his "teachings" geez... and before someone try to rip off my head because i am saying something about the pills wait ok? nothing wrong if someone needs to control their depression and/or bipolarity with medicine, the issue here is he was preaching to everyone he managed to rule over his bipolarity w/o medicine which more than once he proved it was a lie, THAT is my complain.

did i was dissapointed? of course, i dont idolized him but had a fair amount of respect as someone that could have been an example for many to overcome their issues, being but a poser, a liar and someone that believe he can appear in Youtube, telling you he will have a core group (showing their names in the video and emailing them) and he will teach them for 67us thinking everyone in that list will idolize him and will give him money, that's disspointing... sad when someone cant live up to their words.

The Guild

Browsing the Xbox Marketplace i found one show that at first didnt called much my attention as it looked so cartoonish and i thougt it was somekind of flash toon like show, today beign bored i decided to give it a try and started to download and i dont regret doing it as it become one of my favorites

The Guild is written and created by Felicia Day and season one released in 2007 in Youtube, later the show moved to MSN Video and the XBox Marketplace, running for the third season now the show has earned awards and has been acclaimed gaining quite some fans worldwide.

The show present us a guild "The Knights of Good", a group of people into an MMO game (that i suppose is World of Warcraft as they never show us what they play) and their only contact has been via voice chat, Codex (Felicia Day) start every episode recording a vlog of what is happening to her, she has been suffering social anxiety problems and her only friends are those from online games.

There's a missing guildmate that has not been connected for 36 hours, they all worry and wonder where he is until he shows up in front of Codex's doorstep saying he's in love (he's insanely obsessed with her).

Desperate she ask her only friends (the guild) to have a meeting in real life, many of them jump and reach negatively as some of them also have social anxiety issues, this meetin leads to many comic situations and mischiefs among the guild, including one member to take all the gold and loot of months of work from the MMO they play.

The Characters:

Codex: main character in which the shows is focuses, she has been experiencing social anxiety issues after a bad relationship in which her boyfriend (a musician) was having a gay affair with the oboe player, one of her guildmates is obsessed with her saying he is in love with her, she appears to play the role of a priest.

Vork: He seems to be always eating or doing chores while he play online, he also have some social anxiety problems as is one of the most relient to meet the others, he is also a Scrooge type that will take his own cheese to a restaurant just to save a dollar buying a hamburger (mainly why he is in charge of the guild money and loot)he appears to have the role of a Warrior

Zaboo: The lost member of the guild and the one obsessed with Codex, the main reason for the plot to happen, things get even more complicated as his castrative mother arrives to Codex's house blaming her for taking away his innocent son and she pretent to make her pay, Zaboo plays the role of a Warlock.

Bladezz: Eh was not invited to the meeting as Vork wanted to discuss what to do with him, before he was expelled he decided to leave the guild taking away all the gold and loot Vork left in one of his accounts, now mad is trying to ruin the good name of "The Knights of Good", this include a porn video of their characters into the forums, he play the role of a Rogue.

Clara: mother, wife and housewife spending most of the time taking care of the kids and playing online, she dont have any issue by meeting the guys and seems to like everyone, she plays the role of a healer or a priest (not sure)she is so distracted playing that never noticed the babysiter quit for over a week and the kids was eating crayons, oh and she is taking erotic dance lessons too.

Tinkerballa: she is playing games most of the time, in both pc and DS and refuse to tell the others her real name, she also told them "Ugly Betty's" story instead of real facts about her, she plays the role of a Hunter.

Every chapter takes but minutes leaving you wanting more, so far 3 seasons are out and i recommend you this show a lot, you can get it from the Xbox Marketplace for free, Itunes and Youtube, here's the link for you:

When a hobby stops being one

I wanted to blog this for a time after i watched a shocking You Tube video, it is shocking not for the content but for how close many of us are to be crossing the line beyond a hobby and an addiction.

For starters let me tell you i am a videogame collector and check people in You Tube such as Petedorr, Happy Console Gamer and others into gaming, i came across this guy Luke Morse (lukemorse1) in a shotout from The Happy Console Gamer a couple months ago, this guy have an impressive amount of consoles and Candy Cabinets (japanese arcade machines, Neo Geo, etc) married and living in japan a life some of us dream to have and could think as perfect, but is it? check out this video before you continue reading:

Lukemorse1 have a lot of videos, gaming, unboxing, repairing stuff, etc, and as a collector is something you enjoy to watch but you dont realize how is people's life behind scenes when the camera is off.
of course none of us can grasp the whole issue just by watching his videos and listening to his words, im not judging her or Luke as only them know the facts behind their issues but i wanted to express my thoughts for a time now.

I remember the video atracting people like me to Luke's channel was this one by The Happy Console Gamer when he was unboxing a few systems he got in the mail from Lukemorse1 as it seems he had a closet full of consoles (the compulsory buying sprees in Hard Off) and was running out of space in home and was forced to sell some of them, at least i think he sold the consoles, but i believe he also used to give some away to some gamers in the community.

Luke's wife didnt leave him because he liked videogames so before some people into gaming curse her (as some i know has done) but the addictive shopping sprees, having not one but 4 or 5 of the same console, going to Hard Off and pick one more he can have fun repairing/polishing and ending storing away in the closet, having several copies of the same game and buying more (of the same game) because he find it a bargain and stuff like that is what i think started to add gas to the fir and having their kid in the hospital a couple weeks this happened i think made guilts and flames to arise between them (as it happened to a friend of mine).

I dont think there's something wrong in gaming, nor in collecting or having the hobby to fix and put back in shape old consoles, but when you cant stop to buy after you have 3 or 4 working systems and you run out of space in your house, abusing your credit card and spend most of your time alone doing that, you have to see something is not a hobby but an addiction. i bet, if he could buy a cheap console, fix, polish and sell over ebay making a profit (not because he want to have more money) i dont think his situation ended like this (of course im just assuming)

For some of us collectors, watching Luke's last video was somethingtrully shocking as is something so close to our reality, how often we find that desired game, manga, figure or collectible and we even end in red numbers in our bank accounts just to have it leaving family or priorities aside?
that video is a human mirror for many of us out there, i do hope and wish the best for luke and maybe someday he will make a comeback, that day i wish to see luke's kid playing along with him in those arcades, luke dont need to quit his hobby but to share it with his own family, i know quite some gamers in You Tube that miss him and felt affected and trully depressed by that video, many of us feel his pain.

I have always said we all can take good and bad things from everything in life, name it a book, a movie, comic or even a good drink of beer, but everything that ends in a compulsory excess cant be good not even sports (we have seen steroids and even players die in the field from heart attacks)
i am not sure i worded everything as i wanted here, but felt the need to psot something for a time now and hopefully Luke's experience will help many of us out there to keep our hobbies and priorities in place, until next time, thanks for reading.

Keep Moving Forward!

Recently a very good friend of mine that worked as a game master with me in a ragnarok online server talked to me about returning there and attemp to fix the now dead (online but dead) server, i am pondering how much is nostalgia and how much will the dream to use an old horse as a stallion can be possible.

None of us plays RO anymore, even GMing i dont think i could revive the flame to play and enjoy that game like the old days, even if it hurts me to see that server in such decayed state nostalgia alone is nothing vs reality, ghosts and vultures from the past in that place seems to be a constant curse that may never lift unlike starting fresh in a different network or by our own (not that im considering to host one at this moment, to start with i dont have the money)

I think "Meet the Robinsons" (great movie, be sure to watch it) give us a valuable lesson here "keep moving forward!" and by returning to a now (sorry borf and maever) dying network we wont be moving forward but the opposite, all the ghosts and bad memories must die just like the server and the only we need from there is the good friends and memories we will always carry in our hearts while we keep moving forward! :)

E3 comments (and rants? go figure..)

Well for the most part i think a majority agree Microsoft had the best conference of all E3, followed close by Sony and far behind in the end Nintendo... nd please fanboys stay away of this blog please, i like all 3 consoles so please avoid me the hasle of your flames, thanks.

Microsoft Conference
Ok so, the new game line up was very good, specially the announcement of Metal Gear Solid franchise coming to the Xbox360, sure is not an Xbox360 exclusive but that matters? no, matters it arrived to the console but i will avoid more on this topic as it seems to ignite fanboys to spam ;)

Halo ODST came with a good bonus, the code to enter Halo Reach multiplayer Beta and yes i know there's people saying "oh crap Bungie dont move form the Halo games, ugh...!!" and well yeah that may be truth but while fans (people love and hate Halo) like the series and ask for more, Bungie will keep doing Halo related games.

I would like to focus on what i believe was the most important announcement not only on the Microsoft conference but maybe in all E3, and that is Project NATAL and MILO

Project NATAL promise to bring to the Xbox360 voice, facial and motion recognition to the console, of course if Microsoft make this work as promised it will be a great hit and hopefully game developers will make a good use of this technology.

And after i was chating with my friend Borf (http://www.sagramore.com/) he told me Johnny Chung Lee was also part of Project NATAL, if you know a bit of johnny you may know he have done quite some neat things with a wiimote, if not check out his website at http://johnnylee.net/projects/wii/ so this give me hopes that Project NATAL will be giving us the players what we was promised. :)

MILO, okay this is neat but also creepy! by using the project natal features milo bring to us a virtual reality friend that will talk, move, read and interact with us as we speak, move or show him writen stuff on a piece of paper!

A lot has been said (of course..) about this beign a fake, it may it may not, i really hope this is real as it sounds to be a hell of a project! and probably the only friend many out there will have in this world ;) PEDOBEAR LOVES MILO <3 style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 204, 255);font-size:130%;" >
SONY Conference
Now sony gave us a good bunch of stuff to look at too, among thoe some new exclusives coming to the console, a new gadget to rival with project natal and the launch of the so rumored PSP Go.

Ok the most important i think is this new motion sensor controller, the demo they showed was really impresive, and taking in mind it is a prototype this is really promising (if devs make good games for it and not moronic games) remind me the card game they showed some time ago that used a camera and interacted with the player, only time will tell if both natal and this will stay or just be a fad, but i think these new technologies are here to stay.

The PSP Go, at first i was hoping this wont be real as i wanted to buy a PSP Slim (yeah you know, hack it and use memory sticks) but sony said they are keeping the support for the 2/3000 so that's cool

We see major changes on design as UMD is no more (i womder if many umd movie owners are happy with this) hardware seems to be the same with the addition of 16gb of flash memory to download games, movies and content from the PSN, but i wonder, what will happen when your memory is full and you want get more games, obviously you need to delete some games from your PSP Go
if you dont have a fast internet or you dont have internet in home this can be troublesome, i like the PSP Go but i doubt is something i will get in the near future.

Game line up, well for the PSP i have to say i am waiting to get Little Big Planet and Metal Gear Solid, they looks just great

For the PS3 MAG looked promising but looks awful, graphic wise is impressive yeah but seems just like a common war game without much personality (that's just imo) Uncharted 2 looked much better with sightly details i disliked from the gameplay demo such as your character climbing and hanging with a gun in the hand (i wonder how he do that, AWESOME) or wooden desks holding helicopter's fire like if they was steel, but besides that looked great xD

You have to scuse me, i like FPS's but is not what i crave on gaming...

ModNation Racers, now this is a game i am for sure buying for the ps3! i love games that allow players to use creativity (like little big planet) and this one let you build your racing tracks! (and i think sharing them online)

God of War 3, what can i say... amazing!

Final Fantasy 14 Online, i was a bit exited until i heard "ps3 exclusive" and seems that every friend of mine into Final Fantasy 11 just hate it, i can understand why but i think that deserve his own post :P

Nintendo Conference
Oh boy, OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!111one, i wonder how the ceo's show their face on street after that sad conference...

Ok the WII Motion Plus, not amusing, and is not new as they announced this for a time now and well it is revealing? i dont think so, is basically enchanced wii experience in my opinion and well not much to say, amusing cat is not amused...

The heart Sensor and the wiifit plus, oh god for my own sanity i will skip this *sigh*

Some of the announcements for the wii included the new Mario Bros Wii with 4 players co-cop/vs mode and here is where i tear my shirt and yell "omg cammie (the women on the video) please SHUT UP dont insult miyamoto like that!!!" and i quote:

"For the last 15 years mister miyamoto has been thinking about one new way to let you play a mario game in a way that's never been possible before"

Ok first of all saying he spend 15 years to add co op in a mario game is something the world is laughing at and make miyamoto look dumb, not a genious as she intended (unless she tried to insult him, in which case... god job!)
second, never been possible? OMG what a bunch of bu... *sigh* ok cammie 2 words for you Super Multitap, made by hudson for their bomberman games allowing up tp 4 players on the super nes, and considering the supernes scaling capabilities oh hell yes, this game could have been done long time ago...

Now i have not seen the rest of the game but certainly this is not miyamoto new masterpiece as she stated, this game is far to be a masterpiece (this coming from someone that's playing mario games since the NES) i have not seen the rest of the game but this is far to be a groundbreaking Mario game like it was SMB3 or Supermario World for the SuperNes.

DSI, one of the more stupid features is deforming pictures with the camera, and saying we can now share with the world our pictures in Facebook was not something that made people start twittering about it, and please Mario vs Donkey in the DSI Shop? come on nintendo you can do much better than that...

The only i liked (without beign impressed) was Mario Galaxy 2 and the new Metroid game for the Wii, yet i would love to see some old great games from the nes and super nes on the wii other than mario, link and samus.

Where is my remake for Kid Ikarus or Mother 4? come on not all is mario and metroid Nintendo... and no i dont hate nintendo but ist sucks to see it become a nursing game system, what's next, glucose sensor?

Retro vs Fancy Graphics, has gameplay decayed?

You know, often i rant when it comes to 3d gaming, more and more i see how developers focus in one genre named "First Person Shooters" and no dont misunderstand me i like the genre but i think there's a lot of genres that are more and more forgotten by the developers not by lack of fans but lack of creativity and effor from the companies.

Sonic the Edgehog (and probably the new Mario World for the Wii) could be a good example of how fancy 3d do not means the game is actually good but just "good looking"

Another lack of effor from the companies is less content on game campaigns that make the game extremely short because they focus on giving you the "best" multiplayer experience, even if i enjoy to go online and have matches with friends that is not all and i hate how the developers focus on that over REAL game content, take as example Killzone 2, game is great but campaign is extremely short and just when you start getting the feel of the game, baam... the end, and all you have left is multiplayer, it trully sucks and unfortunately more and more game companies worry for multiplayer (which is ok) but not for giving more to the people that bought the game hoping to have REAL replay value!

Wonder why old 16-bit game compilations sells a lot of copies or why virtual stores like PSN/WII/XBL have old titles that appeal the users so much? yes... replay value!

Often people, and sorry if im going to touch sensitive nerves here, ignorant videogame wannabes think graphics meant all, and i have found in youtube ignorant comments of "fans" swearing and blabering nonsense BS vs old 2d graphics like if the graphics made the game be bad, clearly they have never tried them at all, those games are the very rosseta stone of the actual gaming, where could be the MGS solid franchise without the original HIT of the 8-bit Metal Gear Solid or the NES Final Fantasy? fanboy wannabes should not have a next generation console if they cant value the greatness of NES, Supernes and Sega Genesis (Megadrive or SMS2 depending where you live at) to name a few.

that's all, end of rant, go and play some old great games: sonic the edgehog, Super Mario World (not the newest Wii joke!) pwning retro, RAWR!!!

I guess one of the reasons i havent blogged in a time (i wonder if anyone besides tiffany ever read this xD) is because i have been sulking into another depressive episode, and even if i wanted to say something i guess it was the best for me not to post or i would have ended posting about how bad i feel or how i wish for things to be, hate when some friends come to me "talk to us we are friends" when the last i want is bring my irl issues to them and to my computer screen when i am online.

Xbox360
i was thinking about this this morning just after i wake up, you know when an idea strikes your mind so clear and jyou just say "oh uh.." is funny how something rushed by another depressive episode pushed me to desire the console and that did lead to win this xbox360.

See, i used to tell my friend alec "i wont bother to know about games of consoles i cant afford" and i used to say that not because i didnt wanted to get an xbox360 but because i didnt wanted to feel pressure and go down even more because i could not affod one and i wanted to get a console so much, so is why i told that to people like alec because well, you know if something is a source of depression just keep it away, for your own good.

but back to november-december 2008 i was extremely down, stopped drawing, php, and pretty much anything i was trying to work on months ago, and i think is when the thought of "i want play with my friends" striked me, wanted to go online and play with Alec on Final Fantasy 11, Gears of War 2 with Erick because i was having the thought not to just play a new fabulous ultra duper graphics game but having fun with friends to forget a bit the depression i was having.

Probably the desire was boosted for the amount of Halo 3 machinima i was watching back then, good or bad i dont know, but i think that pretty much resume why i started to desire to have the console that much unlike before.

And the most ironic is, that thought to go play online with friends was but a mirage, before i got the console alec, erick and others was asking me a lot "when are you getting one? :D" and now i do and none cares to ask why im not going live or if i want go live and play with them, it's funny, well i could go on with this topic but is enoguh boring and emo already, but yeah i really wanted to blog about this.

Concomics Update

Well i really hoped to go to concomics this year as dave prowse (darth vader) was coming here this year but even if it hurts me i decided i wasnt going there to get a signed picture, i know how unique this chance was (since i cant really travel to usa and met him on one of the many cons there)

But right now we need a fridge and even if it's few the cash im adding from concomics to the fridge saving i decided that was a priority for us, sometimes the right thing to do is not the thing you want to do, sometimes is not what makes you more happy but still... is the right thing and sometimes must be done.

So no concomics , signed pic or vip pass this year, Hopefully someday i will have the chance to met him and other actors from Start Wars.

Youtube is just ironic & stupid, yet i love it

I do love youtube so dont misunderstand me, but is absurd how they can take something down in a matter of minutes because you use less than one minute of footage from family guy in one video (happened to me) or videos with audio completely stripped for using a copyrighted song (when i dont see why is considered stealing)

and is absurd how they really dont do anything to stop racial or animal abuse at all, supposedly you can flag a video to report something that is not apropiate for the website and they never take that down, it is absurd how youtube rules apply only when the big companies dont want their content used even for a parody, homage or video of the sort, because audio is stripped or movie is taken down and that comes with a nice threat of banning your account.

But videos that increase hate for ethnics are never taken down (i wonder if it's because they are an american website/company?) or human and animal abuse are never taken down..

How certain i am of this? we have got a couple cases in mexico of student beign bullied on purpose so they could record with their mobiles a video and upload to youtube as if that STUPID behavior was something funny you had to show to everyone (one student died...) and why? because youtube allow such crap to be uploaded and is never taken down nor their account are disabled that's why.

Want an example? this is a video from south america, old as 2007 and there a guy recorded this video and they shot a women, why is this still online? why is not taken down as is something disgusting?

Often i see content that also go against the laws/rules of youtube and increase hate for ethnics and they never do something to take such videos down, niggers, fucking mexicans, etc, content of that sort, now in my case of course i grab a torch and a fork and go post to defend my country and race (even if sometimes i am a big critic of my own country and people, but racism is something else), and sometimes i wonder if the people behind youtube (even if i love the website) have some racial issues as they allow this kind of behavior in not few but LOT of videos there are, but god forbid you to use metallica in a machinima or a video you make because then you are a criminal and threatened to be banned from the youtube community...

But of course, not everything can be youtube's fault when there's a lot of users (stupid users) that find stupid videos like this something funny to laugh of

anyway is up to youtube to have staff stalking this kind of videos too, not just act like stray dogs for an user trying to use "copyrighted" material when they arent breaking the rules.

Anxiety Attack

Hmm, around 3:30 am after a nice round of anime (rumic theater, was pretty funny) started to feel bad, dont ask me why, just was here in front of the pc and found myself crying, and all the classic symptoms, chest hurting, heartbeats, desperate, etc etc but luckily managed to control myself a bit later, otherwise could have been very bad for me.

Is the first attack i have in months, i guess i have been slowly feeling depressed and stressed over many things in the last weeks, name it exercise, delay with stuff, lack of money, medicine going skyhigh among others i think it has been piling up and i was reaching my limits, i dont know.

Cant say i feel completely fine now, atm feel odd, not sure if i'll feel better or worse today, i guess i can elaborate a bit in some of the stress related issues

The packages
I think without a doubt this has been stressing me a lot, well having a package sent by Express Mail Service on customs since april 26 when they usually take 4 days to arrive using that service make me feel is lost/stolen, aparently alec never got a tracking number for EMS just regular mail, which make me wonder if the employee fucked big time, i have got terrible experiences with the post office reason why i always use EMS even if it cost me more, well i consider the games to be lost already, and well usually i wont moan for it but right now things are not exactly good for us, i guess this also applies for the xbox360 package im waiting (and i never got a tracking number from casey so, that worry me too)

Concomics
Bleh i really was hoping to get the VIP pass to go there all 3 days and have a chance to get some pictures with Dave Prowse (darth vader) cuz well yeah, is not that common for someone like him to come to anime/comic cons in mexico, and i cant really affor to travel to usa, so hmm last month i hoped i could buy that digital camera (possible payment for a website that seems now will be cancelled), deadline for the vip was yesterday so meh, one life time oportunity wasted, i wish i used the money of the xbox360 games for the VIP/camera instead..

Health stuff and more zOMG

Well yesterday got medicine for my cold, aparently i have an infection on my throat that's why i was affected by the cold drinks, i hope to sort this, doctor said he saw some white balls/thingies on my throat so may need to go back when i run out of medicine to see if th infection is gone or if i'll need something else, damn i really want drink a cold drink right now :(

And hmm, well been lazy in the past 2 days about fitness and trying to do stuff, i hope this dont end in a 3 day effor, i really need do this and i hope i can keep doing it, i must, i need it.

Food specially, that's been the hard part... avoid the second ration "oh.. ok, this will be the last time, ill do it tomorrow!" and then "oh fuck why i did it DAMN!" yeah i shux i know XD

hmm feels weird to make this into another post and not part of the last one but i think even if they are related i should keep them separated.

Well starting to do stuff to get back in shape again, wont be a matter of days, will be a great effor of months, during that time will be hard to stay in focus without an attack of panic or a depression that will keep me awake all night sulking myself on bad thoughts for my health or some or my irl issues, and i cant really allow me to that anymore.

Well some problems are sorting slowly, others arent, and this may not be a problem but waiting for over a month for that xbox360 is putting me not in a bad mood but of course it drags me down as some friends that supported me with the contest start to tell me "told you you wasnt getting that xbox" that is really bothering me everytime i come online, i believe in casey but well by judging this fiesta movement thingy when he start rolling all over north america he wont be available to ship that xbox and well everytime he talks about that on his videos he is like "sigh.. gotta ship this to mario..." so well this is my last week hoping to receive that xbox360, even if im rightfully entitled to receive it i cant really force the man to ship it, and this is annoying me more of what im willing to admit.. so if this next saturday i dont hear the magic words "is shipped, look the tracking number!" i think i will give up on that defeinitely, as BystanderSCX, Bostar and me was talking on blogtv some days ago we think casey really dont want ship that xbox, but cant allow me to sulk in a depression now that im starting to put stuff in order with my life.

Hmm title sounds like a sequel isnt? well days ago i have been considering investing in a digital camera (kodak easyshare m863) as it can also record HD video so may be good for vloging in sites such as YouTube.

I have quite good ideas for videos and why not i know i am talented when it comes to imagine and write stuff even in the spur of the moment (like comebacks to people) but my biggest insecurity is im fat, yeah... im fat.

Im not ugly, i have been told by womens im good looking and i have a good bearing (not sure i used the right word) but yeah im fat, not that i havent tried to lose weight.. SHUT UP! xD

But yeah cant say my skin is so thick when it comes to my weight, one of the main reasons why i avoided posting my picture on the forums i was Game Master, had enough with morons ignoring i was fat to worsen that for me, specially when people ignore why i gained all this weight (i wasnt fat as a teenager nor as a kid) so no thanks.

Hmm i dont know, probably i will or may not... i think if i do could be a way to prevail over my insecurity and if i dont insecurity wins, but i wonder if it's worth the risk.

For a time now i have been considering to start my own movie blog, why? simply as I DO LOVE MOVIES!~ well videogames is one of my great hobbies but movies has been a passion for me since i was a child, and with the help of the internet my collection is growing fast.

I dont feel like i would not be blogging about the latest movies only (which i would love to do) i dont consider myself an expert to judge the good or bad acting skills of certain actor/actress but to actually talk of stuff i loved from certain movies, an example of that could be Kevin Costner Dances with Wolves "tatanka... buffalo.. tatanka.. buffalo.." as he try to talk to a native in a remote forgotten by god outpost while he wait for reinforcements he is forced to get a long with the natives, i think that was a great movie and i feel i should be fucking blogging about it!

Hmm, yet i wonder if my insecurity for my english grammar and "omg are you serious that movie did suck!" kind of comments will let me do it, beats me.

Well been a bit annoyed lately, these damn headaches kicking back again, been trying to keep me busy, i got adobe after effects and adobe premiere pro and i have been messing around with them, the interfase seems to be a bit complicated but i hope to get the hang of it and do a few things in the next weeks.

Regiatered Newbtastic Gaming in Youtube some days ago and i know it's not new and they float all voer Youtube now, but i want upload videogame intros from Dreamcast and PS1, adding custom intos made with after effects, etc.

In a future, if i get the camera i want (kodak easyshare m863) i may start vlogging or recording some ideas i believe are good, of course to appear on camera i need to tame my insecurity first (yeah, im fat) xD

Proud and Happy :D

I have not added nothing new to my blog in months, depression, lazyness, or a lack of something to write about my life could be one of the many reasons, yet march was a good month for me, if not health-wise it was a rewarding month as good things happened.

Well he organized a Twitter contest, and the winner would be the owner of an Xbox360 and some Games (neat!) and im proud to say i am the winner of that contest, my twitter name is Karmaquarius if anyone want follow me overthere.

The Effor Done

I think i watched the video of the contest a lot of times, waiting to see how the contest was going to work, waited the email next day (monday) badly and around 4-5pm (my timezone) the email arrived, reading Miltownkid blog and the how to i think that monday stayed up to 12 am hooked to the pc since that email arrived contacing people over MSN to sign up and help me with this contest, reactions and responces was different and i got people doing it without hesitation, others (which was time consuming) had doubts but finally joined as i explained the details, others replied with negatives from plain NO to more nasty words (geez thanks guys... <.<) Casey (Miltownkid) told us he was making some custom pages for us, but i could not wait and that night i downloaded his template and did my own until he did our custom pages, i did 2, one in spanish and one in english. Later i distributed the link of the custom page he did, you can take a look at the page he did here: http://mydeadxbox.com/contest/Karmacuarius.html ( i believe he commented he monitored the traffic for the contest pages as he also used that to decide the winner) "hopefully awesome things will happen" he said in the video for the contest page, indeed i think something awesome happened casey :D

My main issue was explain the people asking to join this was not an "win an i-pod!" crap like some sites out there, explaining people to convince them to join was time consuming but i think was worth it.

tuesday night i was really discouraged to be honest, as well after 2 days of hardwork talking to people i barely had 30 followers that did the required steps for the contest, watching SexyBuzz with over 150 and etienne951 with lots LOTS more i went to bed with the thought of giving up as i didnt had a chance.

Next morning i come to the pc and check the update casey did on his blog about me as one of the people he had in mind as possible winners, that really recharged my batteries to keep working hard to win the xbox, that day i decided i was going to keep on with the competition no matter if i did win or not, as i wanted to feel proud of myself by giving the best in the end of the week.

Of course i could not have done this without the support of friends (some more than others) can name some of them Like Borf adding the link to my contest page in his IRC channels after i asked, jenny translating the "how to" to italian and giving it out to her friends to join, Camile and Iran to brazilian, sedi did the same by translating the content of the page to polish and making some posts in polish forums, had other friends doing the same like my brothers from MaFaKa (mexican guild that started in ragnarok and now we play other MMO's) i am grateful for all the support i got from people.

The only i feel a bit annoyed, is how sedi acted like if i did win only for what he did, which i value a lot but he didnt more than others that helped me but they are aware i spend at least 4-6 hours daily sending personal messages on twitter, asking and explaining people on msn and IRC (and some forums) what kind of contest it was, spreading the link, waiting for lot of people to come online to ask for help as soon as they was on the pc, i hope nobody misunderstand me, im not saying i did this alone and i didnt needed anyone, i value all the support i got from everyone, but who did put this in motion was me and i dont want anyone to minimize all the work and effor i did to win this, probably this isnt important.. yet i wanted to take it out of my system.

The Background
This will be my very first Xbox360, not many know about this but this besides a couple MSN friends like Tiffany Joe and maybe alec, back to december i really wanted to get one xbox360, asked some store credits and i got one but the xmas package was sold out (pro, kung fu panda/lego etc) so had to wait until the store had a new batch, they did but they raised the price and i could not pay the amount (would have ended paying nearly 700us + interest in the end of the year) so i decided that was not a choice anymore as we have got some financial issues lately, asked my uncle to help me to get one with his credit card, here we have some "12 month no interest" plans for credit card owners (certain banks only, not all) but he decided to be e jerk and said no xD

Yeah happy face (well, i better laugh than cry dont you think?) so my only choice was to save (slowly) until i could buy the system in one payment which was going to take me a lot of time, so when i watched that contest video was like one of those one time chances only, and i decided i wasnt letting it go off my hands, these events from past months was the main reason for me to stay in the pc for so many hours that week even if i had a headache for the amount of time i spend in front of the pc everyday, but then again i say.. WORTH IT!

Well i guess i could go on and post more about this but hehe i think this entry is long enough already and clearly shows how i feel about this, i hope to get the package from casey soon, i dont have a camera but i may try to get one to take pics of the xbox and games, i will make a new post on the blog when i do, thanks for reading :D

The roads we choose in life

I believe there's not such a thing as a predestined fate in life, god (if you believe in him), universal spirit or whatever you like to call it give us cards to play (like a poker game) some people may get better cards in their deck and even if that helps to your game is up to you how to play that game and make the best use of the cards for your own advantage.

We can say life is like driving in a road, our destination is determined by the route we take, turn to the left or turn to the right, sometimes in life we take a wrong turn and we can look back take reverse and take other route.

this dont always happens, as you take a wrong turn sometimes is to late to reverse and there arent turn backs to try the road we left behind long ago, we can just keep crying for the road we left behind and complain of the road we picked but all we can do is learn from that road and try to take the right turn in the next intersection of the same, learn from your mistakes and the roads you drive.

We cant go back and take some roads as we cant change the past and the "if" do not exist all we can do is drive and moving forward and make the best use of our remaining cards in this long road and this poker game called life, fate and destiny is made by us!

Macross Frontier - Delight Macross fans!

Macross 25th anniversary brings a delightfull series for us the macross fans all over the world, Macross Frontier.

After a long wait we have the new series that ties not just Macross Love Story but also Macross Zero (a story about Macross before it was launched into space, giving us details of the origins of protoculture) is refreshing to see how the story involves the Macross chronology in a perfect balance, as one of my friends told me "was good to see the old zentrans" and i have to agree, after a dissapointing Macross 7 this series is a delight to us the Macross fans.

Macross Frontier introduce a new and fearsome enemy known as the Vajra (which origin i am not going to spoil) these monsters have been attacking and destroying the different Macross convoys, first Galaxy and now they have found Frontier...

Macross Frontier
Starting from the opening, Triangular by Maaya Sakamoto, is excelent and a soundtrack composed by Yoko Kanno, great story and of course a superb animation and excelent mecha designs makes Macross Frontier a winner!

Romantic Triangle
In Macross we had this triangle between Rick, Lynn Minmay and Lisa Hayes and Macross Frontier is no exception here.
Alto Saotome, Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee, in this case is not a militar versus a singer as it was in Macross, but a very well know idol from Macross Galaxy Sheryl Nome and a new born star Ranka Lee, even if this brings memories from Macross this new triangle is something interesting to see, as this will play a major role in the series.

Reminicenses
Cant avoid to compare some characters to some of the characters from the first macross series, the most obvious of curse is the captain of the Macross (in Frontier they called the new ship "a macross" too)

Jeffrey Wilder and Captain Global
Probably one of the most obvious and clear characters that was based in the first macross series, separated at birth?

Cathy Glass and Lisa Hayes
This is pretty obvious too, as Lisa Hayes was the daughter of one of the highest ranged militars in Macross, Cathy is the daughter of the Macross Frontier convoy president, the resemblance of both characters can be seen by anyone.

Bobby Margot and Claudia LaSalle
Yes i know i overdid with this comparison, true one is gay and the second was a woman but if you pay attention, similar hairstyle (of course Bobby have a more stylish style), and both occupy the same spot in the bridge of the Macross, casuality? i dont think so...

Macross Bridge:
Not only some of the characters was based on Macross characters to rememinicense the first series but also the bridge of the new Macross spaceship is very similar to the first bridge of the SDF-1:

i could keep talking about Macross Frontier but the best will be for you to watch and judge the anime yourself, definitely a must watch for any Macross fan out there, Yack deculture~~!!!

Controllers that made history

I believe there's 3 control pads that made a change in the videogame history, the nintendo control pad,the super famicom (super nes) and the playstation dual shock. (edited after a chat with leoman)

Famicom Control Pad
The first and probably one of the first that changed the way we played videogames, the nintendo (8 bit) control pad, before people played with a joystick (atari, coleco, etc) this was one of the first controls that changed the way we played video games including A, B, Start and Select

Super Famicom Control Pad
Why do i affirm this? is simple, before nintendo released a revolutionary pad with 4 buttons and two buttons in the top (for the pointer fingers) everyone was used to play with just A,B, start and select.

Truth, Sega Mega Drive had a 3 button control pad, but many developers never used the third button, later as the super famicom was such a hit and a great innovation sega released a 6 button control pad... again, without any success (beign a sega fan, i have to admit, it was a failure)

Sony Playstation Dual Shock
Now the dual shock, i know many systems released different and sometimes odd control pads but is a fact the dual shock from sony was the reason for the innovative control pads for nintendo 64 and the sega dreamcast, but proof of the dual shock success is how is still used in the playstation 1 2 and 3, a control pad that made a revolution and has survived varios game system generations.

some of the features as the 4 buttons for the pointer fingers (based in the super famicon control pad) the neat and smooth analog control, vibration pack without the need of of a vibration pack (see nintendo 64) all this and more made this control pad a winner!
