Bacanora production was banned for 77 years in Sonora, México and those who were caught distilling agave were hanged or imprisoned...but the Chacón family persevered and when the ban was lifted in 1992 everyone knew why Santo Cuviso holds the power to turn saints into sinners.

Transforming agave piñas (hearts) into Santo Cuviso is a sacred science. Manuel and his team harvest the wild agave, then clean and roast the piñas over mesquite and oak in an underground volcanic stone oven for days. Then they crush every heart, grinding them down to their pure essence and extracting the juices that remain. The juices are poured into vats to ferment and then, once purified, double-distilled in handcrafted copper alambiques. The result? Something you simply can’t get enough of.

Head to Preiss Imports, page 112 of their catalog, (760) 789-9000, to find where you can acquire this amazing nectar.

Enjoy !!!!!

KB

<img fetchpriority="high" We had the opportunity to work with young film directors, in an ad campaign, that all started with a very cool concept from Stern Advertising's creative team and an incredible amount of great energy from everyone involved.

We took 4 kids, young film makers, and our assignment was to make each of them look like their big time film director idols.

We had fantastic stylists, art direction, props, film crew and everyone was donating their time to work with Michael J Fox, in helping to find a cure for Parkinson's disease.

The Kids Film It Festival, started with a vision from fourteen-year-old Ryan Levine. Ryan's grandmother was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and Ryan wanted to find a way to help. He decided to pair his filmmaking dream with his philanthropic passion and that mission led to the creation of the Kids Film It Festival. This is a festival of films made by kids and affords kids and young people with the opportunity to showcase their work. All proceeds go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to benefit Parkinson's Research.

This is the second year that the International Kids Film It Festival was held in Cleveland, Ohio at the iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It's amazing to see what these young filmmakers came up with, check out the films. George Lucas and Michael J. Fox both tweeted how much they loved the photography campaign we designed. Thanks everyone for your participation, donation of time and efforts for Parkinson's Research.

Give me a great cause and I will be there to help.

Enjoy!!

KB

<a Richard was a young man that held 2 Bonneville speed records and his father was riding his bike, with Richard's ashes strapped to the tank.
Fredrick Klinger, Richard's Dad, hadn't ridden in 7 years and his head was bowed, before he took his son for a final ride on the salt.
Man, there is a lot of soul and heart here at this great place called Bonneville..
God Bless you both, Richard and Fritz.

The Letter Below is a response from my post of this story in Facebook, which has been shared over 360 times with the family and racing community. The letter is from a man I've never met, Richard's brother, Fritz Junior.

"Wow! This is a story that is a very emotionally charged, personal and humbling to me and my family. Thank you for the share!

Every trip out to the salt flats for us was a big deal but this year really meant a lot to me, my family, my siblings and especially my father. I have essentially stayed off FB almost ever since the loss of my brother. Tonight I happened to come across this story so I thought I would share and add to it.

When we returned to the salt this year to race I was flooded and overwhelmed with memories and different emotions as soon as we reached Wendover, of going out to the salt flats with my Brother Richard my Dad Fritz Klingler and Too Much Fun Club members. As kids we dugout holes in the salt with my dads screw drivers, rode dirt bikes as far as we could until we would loose sight of the pit area, collect live ammunition left over from old Pearl Harbor days, and race my dads vehicles as fast as we could even though we were not old enough to drive yet. My dad would scrape up whatever sponsorship he could get to help out and what little money we had just to make the trip out each year.

I think I got my first license to race at the Salt Flats when I was about 14 or 15 years old when my dad strapped my ass on the old Harley and sent me down the track. My little brother looked on in jealousy that year and unbeknownst to me he would go on to not only surpass my speed of 156 but blow it out of the water and then some.

My brother Rich went on to race prototype Harley Davidson's as well as my dads Streamliner which went over 220 MPH. This trip certainly was an emotional rollercoaster for me personally but it also gave me some closure knowing that my brother got to haul some ass down the track again as his ashes were strapped to the frame of my dads Harley.

My dads story closely identifies with the Worlds Fastest Indian. We didn't have big money or big corporation sponsored factory bikes. Each year the pit crew changed slightly and we learned street knowledge from the year prior from the school of hard knocks. We were a bunch of hillbillies with no money and a bunch of crap we fabricated in our garage. Every year we went out we got faster and faster. Pretty soon we were setting records most of which if not all stand to this date.

My brother Rich was just as crazy as my dad and had balls of steel or as my dad says "balls bigger than our brains". That's what it takes for anyone to run out on the salt flats and that tube with my brothers ashes mounted to my dads bike is a representation of the respect it takes to have balls bigger than your brains to make a pass down the salt. My brother planed on racing again this year and we made damn sure he got it.

My family and I would like to thank you for this post and sharing your photos. I would also like to thank everyone who chipped into my dads go fund me account this year to help us make this happen this year. Without it, it wouldn't have been possible without your help and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I can't wait to get back out there and send it down the track as fast as that bike will go with my little bro by my side.

Thank you!

Fritz Klingler Jr"

Fritz Klinger

Richard Klinger's ashes on the tank of his motorcycle.

Fritz, taking his son for the last ride.

The post A Tribute to Fredrick’s Son, His Final Ride appeared first on Keith Berr Photography Blog.

The whole project, from design to finish, was completed in under 6 months and I worked along side a few of my best friends, that had actually constructed the building for me, some 23 years ago.

A good portion of our business these days is on the road, working around the country, so our new studio space may sit vacant, when we are not here shooting television spots for Kay Jewelers, or billboards for McDonalds. The studio has been designed to accommodate rentals, from responsible, like minded photographers.

There is no doubt; it's the most interesting studio space in the city and a facility that is now filled with natural light and photo opportunities. Check out a few of the interior photos and if you'd like a private tour, or to book your next photo shoot, contact Linda and stop He did so much more than just drive an AA/FS vehicle faster than anyone before him. For Thompson, this record allowed him to fulfill a promise he had made with his famous speed-demon father, who was murdered in 1988.

To become a member of the famed Bonneville 400 miles per hour club a racer must complete a five-mile down run one day and a five-mile return run the next. The average speed of the two runs is used to calculate if a racer makes it into the exclusive club. Danny's record makes him the 12th racer to break 400 mph at the flats. He did it in Challenger 2, a car that was built by his father. The streamliner's aerodynamic body remained virtually unchanged from Mickey's original 1960s design, but Danny updated everything else.

The modern version of the car has dual dry block hemis, each generating around 2,500 horsepower at an 80-percent nitro load. Once his all volunteer crew changed the engines they had to upgrade the transmissions, rear ends, and the drivetrain to handle the additional power.

His father was the first American to top 400 miles per hour in 1960. His name still graces a line of high-end racing tires. Mickey's run time was 406.6 mph. He attempted to race a Challenger 2 before his death, but the car broke down on the return leg of the run. Micky and Danny were going to attempt a completed run at Bonneville together the year Mickey was killed. Danny was heartbroken and stored the Challenger for years, before he decided to work on it again. It took seven years, all of his money, and the support of his family and friends to get the Challenger 2 race-ready again. It’s a team of love and kindred friendships

I can still hear Danny saying that his Dad was with him, when he exited the car from his historic run, and kissed the salt. He did it Mickey !!!!!

In the end, Danny's speed was recorded at 406.767 miles per hour, beating his Dad's speed by a tenth of a second. There were many tears of happiness that day and it’s not over yet.
