To say we’re excited about shooting Lindsay and Chad’s wedding this Summer would be a bit of an understatement. Their wedding is being held at Cielo at Castle Pines which is one of our very favorite venues. Last year, we shot there twice and it is stunning. Check out our shoots from 2011.

Cielo is only part of the reason we’re excited. Lindsay and Chad are the biggest part. They are two beautiful people, inside and out. They have been together for eight years their love for one another is simply beautiful. The way they interact and laugh is so refreshing.

At the session, they brought their dog, Reggie. He is such a sweet guy. Check out a few of our favorite photos from their engagement session and stay tuned (for several months) for their wedding coming up this Summer.

As Pinterest grows, often photographers would want to see if their stuff is getting pinned. Pinterest is a unique social media site in that it is photo-driven. Us wedding photographers are also photo-driven, so it is a match made in heaven. Here is how you would check to see if your wedding photography is getting pinned on Pinterest.

In a browser, copy and paste this link: http://pinterest.com/source/kellinixon.com Remove the “kellinixon.com” part and replace it with your own URL. That’s it. It is super simple to see who is pinning your wedding photos on the site.

p.s. Don’t be sad to see very few. As of this post, we only have a few pins. We need to increase those numbers, so start pinning us!

Historic Eisenhower Chapel – {Caitlin & Chad}

The Historic Eisenhower Chapel was one of many chapels on the Lowry Air Force Base and now part of the Lowry Town Center and was the scene of Caitlin and Chad’s Denver Wedding. The Chapel, dedicated just days prior to the bombing of Pearl Harbor, serves as an Historic Landmark and a very special wedding location in Denver.

After the wedding, the couple made their way to the Soiled Dove Underground where the staff transformed a concert venue into a reception hall.

Caitlin used mushrooms in her bouquet and centerpieces, rocking the details. The dessert table was over-the-top with more sweets than we’ve ever seen.

Limo Service

This is the third or fourth time we’ve gotten to work with AR Limo. They are fantastic. Great service and even better cars. This time they brought a super-rare ’36 White Bus. Superb.

Donovan Pavillion Vail, CO Wedding {Greta & Jeff}

Greta & Jeff tied the knot just after Thanksgiving at the Vail Chapel, then held an over-the-top, beautiful reception at Donovan Pavillion. Both stunning venues are located in Vail, CO and what a wedding it was. Greta, Jeff and their friends had us enjoying ourselves so much that we almost forgot we were working. What an absolute blast. Ask them about their vows! Some of the funniest vows ever as their ceremony was performed by their two best friends. Here are some of our favorite wedding photos from their big day.

Parkside Mansion {Laura & Zach}

Laura and Zach are such a fantastic couple. They met while working together and exchanged vows on 11-11-11. The details from their reception at Parkside Mansion were spectacular as was the wedding! Since Parkside is directly beside City Park in Denver, we were able to walk right across the street for some awesome backdrops. Here are some of our favorites from their wedding. Cielo at Castle Pines {Lisa & Casey}

It’s not possible to meet a couple more in love than Lisa & Casey. When Casey was asking permission of Lisa’s dad to marry Lisa, he had a really big smile on his face. After giving his blessing, her dad asked, “why are you smiling so much Casey?” He replied, “I get to marry Lisa!” At this point, they had already been together many years and we are quite sure they have many, many more years in front of them. They got married inside Cielo, then after the ceremony, they transformed the room into a beautiful reception! Cheers to The Food Guy for another wonderful meal and to Chelsea Jones for designing a beautiful event!

It’s not often that we venture outside of the wedding photography arena. Generally we stick to only shooting weddings and engagement portraits. However, when a family we’ve shot for several times asks us to shoot her newborn daughter’s portraits, we simply cannot pass up the honor!!

Downtown Denver For Engagement Shots

To say we’re excited to shoot Jackie and Justin’s wedding next year would be a complete understatement. One of the sweetest and most beautiful couples we’ve ever met. I had the opportunity to shoot their engagement session downtown Denver amongst some interesting situations. The Occupy Denver crowd was there and it was the day that they got violent and had a clash with the police. Yep, we were right there. Still, the session was awesome and here are a few of my favorites from the set.

The Chapel at Beaver Creek ~ {Yadira & Lee}

We’ve been waiting all year to shoot at The Chapel at Beaver Creek. It is a stunning location! When we shot Lee Ann and Doug’s wedding up there a couple of months ago, we drove by the chapel and were so thrilled that we would get to shoot there. It didn’t disappoint. It is a gorgeous location, so add in Yadira {beautiful bride} and Lee {handsome groom} and some perfect Fall weather and you have all the makings for a spectacular wedding. Check out some of our favorites from their day.

Their reception followed in Vail at the Sebastian Hotel at Vail Village. The Sebastian was wonderful. The staff is kind and professional and we hope to get to shoot there again. It is a very nice reception venue.

Rocky Mountain National Park ~ {Sarah & Bobby}
