Also, I completed another day in my art journal.  I am still following along with Misty Mawn and Milliande.  I have missed a couple of days, but I have been doing creative stuff everyday, which is my ultimate goal.  

Today’s prompt was to use the color orange.  I was inspired by a photo of an orange daylily.  I learned alot about daylilies and the color orange from this spread.   For instance, did you know that the daylily is an emblem of the mother?  Also…did you know that orange represents enthusiasm, energy, hope, vibrancy, and good health?  I have always liked the color orange… it reminds me of summer and suntans!

I have still been following Milliande and Misty Mawn’s January Art Journal challenge, I just haven’t had time to post my entries.  Hopefully, I can get to that soon.  :)

Also, I started reading Nita Leland’s “The New Creative Artist” on the treadmill at the YMCA today.   All that wonderful eye candy sure made the time fly!   So far I am loving this book!  It is full of inspiration, ideas, and a wealth of creative knowledge.   I am also in the middle of reading Inkheart by Cornelia Funke.  I love most children’s/ young adult literature for many reasons, but mostly because it helps keep my inner child alive and kicking!
