A Note from Kelly

Mother's Day this month!

My mum and I will be going to Canberra to visit my Nana for Mother's Day this year. I can't remember the last time we did that, or if we ever did that at all. I think it will be such a special and memorable time.

Life is so short and time really is precious.

If you are having trouble communicating with your mother as so many teens do, take a step back and open your eyes to the possibility that your mother is just doing what she's doing because she loves you and wants to protect you. Let's face it, if you become a mother or father yourself, it would be hard to let your child go out into the world without any advice or words of wisdom after caring for them for so long already. Remember too, that she's the one who can see how what you are doing will effect you later on in life, when all you can really think about is the 'now'.

Consider this and forgive each other this mothers day. She is afterall, the one who gave birth to you and helped you to grow into the person you are today.
