DRIVETRAIN

DISC BRAKE SYSTEM

Truly masterful engineering went into the design of California Sidecar Trike’s COBRA XL disc brake system and the result is truly confidence-inspiring braking performance. The brakes are completely integrated with the O.E.M Linked Braking System and we are the only trike manufacturer to offer full ABS integration.

WHEELS AND TIRES

In typical California Sidecar Trike fashion, we’ve crafted a body with an aggressive, sleek style that perfectly complements the GL1800 Goldwing. The body is equipped with Honda taillights, halogen reverse lights, and rear chrome trim accent strip. Each painted body comes with the finest finish in the business. Our in-house fiberglass and paint departments insure the highest degree of quality control and the color match capability is unsurpassed. Overall Condition – A little rough – all there, and runs good, but far from perfect;  Could be made nicer with some TLC, and at this price, a very good buy;  Probably looks better in the pics than it does in real life

  • Tires are s0-so
  • All paint is average to below average – some scratches, etc;  Looks good from about 10 feet away, but up close, not perfect
  • Some of the chrome is a little pitted, but not bad overall
  • Key is missing – don’t worry, it’s not stolen (I have the title), and it starts / runs without the key
  • Radio work intermittently
  • There may be other little things wrong with it – expect to have some little things to do on it

2008 1/2 Newmar All Star 4481 ATME 45′ Diesel Motorhome

The All Star has the engine in the middle of the chassis, eliminating the need for a tag axle (and the costly tires, brakes, etc) because the weight is very well balanced between the two axles.  This provides you with superior handling, and also allows for very creative floor plans. This coach drives and handles like a dream, and has Newmar’s exclusive Comfort Drive steering.  Very easy-to-drive coach.

This layout has the 4 captain’s chairs up front, a removable, convertible table, then the bedroom (queen bed) w/ a slide, then the bathroom / shower, and the entire rear of the coach is the living area (with a big slide) it’s own outside entrance and power-sliding porch!  The kitchen is in the very rear of the coach.  This is a wonderful layout for families, or for entertaining.  We camped very comfortably with 4 adults, and 4 young children in this coach several times.   The coach has 2 slides, leaving the wall where the full-length power awnings (2 of them plus the one over the door) unobstructed by slides at the camp-site, and leaving a lot of room to move around inside the for travel when the slides are in.

The coach has 3 large flat screen TV’s, gas furnace, gas or electric hot water heater, gas stove, and Norcold 4-door gas or electric refrigerator w/ icemaker, 8000 watt Cummins Onan quiet Diesel generator (with only 467 hours), 2000 watt inverter.   It has tile floors throughout (except in bedroom, where it has carpet), and beautiful ginger maple wood work and cabinets.  Upgrades include 2 Penguin 15K AC/Heat Pump units, CB Radio, Sirius Radio, Central Vacuum, and King Dome In-Motion Satellite (just add your Direct TV or Dish receiver), Norcold 4-door refrigerator with ice maker, power sun-visors, and ultra-leather magic-bed couch.

Painted in Toffee full-body paint with upgraded decor, this coach is beautiful.  It has 2 huge A&E power awnings, and a power awning over the door, as well as a manual awning over the on top the large side windows.  It has the large chrome, power mirror upgrade, and they offer excellent visibility.  It has a 10K hitch, so you’d have no trouble towing whatever you want, and it has plenty of power to spare.

Condition: If you are a present RV owner, what I am going to say will make sense, but if you aren’t, please read carefully.  This is a house that goes down the road – there are many parts the loosen, break, etc, with ANY motorhome I have ever seen.  The only way to have an RV that is perfect is to buy it new, and never use it.  Basically, what I am saying is, this coach is NOT perfect!!!  It is in very nice, and I will try to list out anything and everything I know that is currently wrong with it.  If you consider these items major, then this (or probably any used coach) is not the right coach for you.  Even if I fixed all these things, by the time you drove it 1K miles, its highly possible some other minor thing might go wrong.  This is part of RV ownership.

Exterior: There are a few minor scratches, and there is some discoloration under the Diamond Shield in the front, but overall, I would rate the exterior a 9 out of 10.

Interior: Very clean inside, never smoked in, and no pets have ever been in it.  No odors.  One of the blinds over the rear door has to be manually put up (it could be re-strung), and there is some slight discoloration on the pleats of one fo the semi-transparent blinds over the window by the rear table (my guess is someone spilled coffe on it).  The front removable console has a drawer missing (the side that faces the wall, so you can’t see it anyway, and there is a piece of wood missing to hold one of the side leafs up (I never used this console / table – I left it in my garage, as we preferred the room up there).  The front passenger seat sometimes makes a clicking sound when you use the power to move it forward or back (but it works fine).  There is a scratch in the Corian trim back by the tall rear cabinet (not noticeable).  There are a few places where there is a screw in the wall where someone had mounted a picture or something (not many, and not noticeable).  Even with ALL of this listed, I would still rate this interior a 9 out of 10.  Having been in other coaches, I would consider it nicer (and cleaner) than average.

Mechanical: The engine was just completely serviced 2 months ago.  Tires are excellent, with a lot of tread left, and no dry-rot.  Four brand new house batteries were installed 4 months ago.  This coach should offer the next owner many thousands of trouble-free miles.  The oil pan has rubbed on my steep driveway lip a couple times (before I knew exactly how to back it in), and there was slight seepage through the composite material used on the oil pan.  When the engine was serviced, this was patched with tank-repair.  There are occasionally still some light drips when the engine is hot and sitting from the noise isolator bolts around the pan.  It is not much – it would probably take 2-3 years to ever even leak a pint. Personally, this is not something I would replace, but I would fully understand if this is something you would want done.  I will have this replaced if you want, or knock $1K off the asking price if you don’t want this fixed.  The generator works great, as do the heater, the roof AC / heat pump unit, all plumbing, hot water heater, etc.  I would have no fear of literally jumping in this coach and driving it from Connecticut to California tomorrow.  It is reliable, has no real problems, and runs and drives excellent.

You will not be disappointed with this coach – I am underselling it condition-wise, as I’d rather have you pleasantly surprised when you actually see it.  It is a very nice coach!

I have had numerous people contact me afraid of the length – it drives better than most 40 footers our there due to the balance of the weight, wheel base, etc.  It turns sharp and easy, and there is nowhere I used to go with my 40 footer that I cannot go with this coach.  Yes, it’s a big coach, and you get tons of room and storage in exchange for the size.

I bought this coach used about a year ago and have put about 4K miles on it.  Unfortunately I must sell it to raise cash for an investment, so someone is going to get a great buy.  This coach was originally $275K+ when new.  You aren’t going to find a lower-priced coach this new, this big, and this nice anywhere.  This coach is priced thousands under NADA WHOLESALE value!

We bought this boat new, and we have loved it. We typically get a new boat every year, so I am selling this one to order a 2013 X-30. We had several Malibu Wakesetter VLX’s before, and 3 MasterCraft X-15′s, an X-25, and now this X-30.  We simply love all the room, the wake, and the quality of the MasterCraft, so that’s why we’re buying another one.


Save thousands over a new 12 or 13.


Overall Condition: This boat is like new. I’ve had it since new, and it has been well maintained. Let me go through each part:


Mechanical: Excellent. Had its 20 hour service performed by the MasterCraft dealer

Interior: Excellent. No rips, tears, or stains on vinyl or carpet.

Exterior: Excellent. No fading, virtually no visible scratches. Has typical small (less than 1/4″ ) nicks in the gelcoat in the back where boards have rubbed against the transom, but they are all surface level and would easily buff out.  You probably wouldn’t notice them unless it was pointed out to you.

This boat has been kept either under a cover, or in a well-ventilated garage, on a trailer its whole life.

I will assist with delivery within 100 miles of western CT. I will deliver up to 400 miles beyond that at a cost of $2 per loaded mile. If you live further away than that, I may be willing to travel further, but we would need to discuss timing and terms first.

Overall Condition – Very Good – not perfect, but in overall very good condition, especially for its age;  Trike kit is brand new

Overall Condition: Very good – runs great and in great shape mechanically, looks great, interior in good shape.  Let me go through each part:

Mechanical: Runs great;  Generator just serviced, new fuel filter on engine, engine will need to be serviced (oil change) in about 3K miles

Tires: Rear brand new (<2K miles) 3 months ago, front new about a year ago (<4K miles);  No dry-rot, excellent tread depth

Batteries: Chassis batteries brand new (2 months ago), house batteries older (5 years), but still hold a charge ok

Paint / Body: Looks and shines excellent;  No fading;  Some various light scratches (from tree limbs, etc) but nothing noticeable or through the paint;  Most would compound out, but honestly, better than average for an 02;  One windshield just replaced, and no chips on either;  Some of the seals around the basement doors are a little leaky (not bad, but some moisture does get under there in the heated compartment – it’s all vinyl down there)

Outside fabrics: Power awning occasionally needs to be helped in due to a sticking part, but no rips or tears;  All window awnings in good shape – one has a broken strap loop;  Front-slide topper awning is missing – have new vinyl topper (comes with the coach), but I have not had a chance to install it;  Rear-slide topper in good shape

Interior: No rips or tears, ultra-leather upholstery in good shape;  Carpet in good shape (a couple very light stains that would probably come out – less than the size of a dime);  Tile in good shape;  Bedspread just professionally cleaned and in good shape;  All but 2 blinds in OK shape (day/night blinds) – 2 of them need to be re-strung, and the others show a little wear but are functional;  I’d say the interior could use a professional detail, but everyone’s standards of cleanliness are different – it was adequately clean for me and my family;  The coach was never smoked in, but the prior owner did have a dog;  I don’t think there are any serious odors in it, but everyone’s sense of smell can be different

This coach can be bought under NADA book value – I would say it is pretty typical condition for an 02, and therefore a very good value.  It is far from perfect, as it’s a 10 year old coach, but it’s got a lot of life left, and I have seen plenty of other coaches this age that are not as nice.  I am trying to be very up-front with it’s condition, as I don’t want someone to be disappointed when they see it.  These big diesel pushers offer a lot, but they also always have some little piece of work that could be done on it.  If you are expecting a perfect or near-perfect coach, I would suggest you look around some more to see what else is out there, and compare value for what you find.
