New variant of Covid: Who monitors 'Mu' and studies vaccine prevention‎

2021-09-01T09:48:00.001-07:00

Geneva: Experts have discovered a new variant of the coronavirus scare in the world. The new variant, scientifically known as B.1621, is named Mu by the World Health Organization. The World Health Organization is monitoring the virus with the discovery of a new variant. The Mu variant is first identified from Colombia in January. The World Health Organization explained the information in a weekly Covid Bulletin on Tuesday.‎

‎The World Health Organization said it is accompanied by genetically modified variants that bypass the resistance provided by vaccines, which increases the risk. At the same time, the World Health Organization stressed that more studies are needed to understand more about the virus.‎

‎There is widespread concern over the emergence of new viruses as the level of covid infection swells again globally. The arrival of new variants as the Delta variant spreads, leading to greater dispersion and death. The widespread reporting of Covid, especially in people who received one or two doses of covid vaccine, has also given rise to concern. But all viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, which cause covid, are converted over time and most mutations do not affect the properties of the virus.‎

‎But some genetic changes affect the properties of the virus and spread quickly. It can also influence the severity of the disease, immunizations, medicines and other preventive measures. The World Health Organization currently recognizes that four Covid variants have been reported, including Alpha, which exists in 193 countries, and Delta, which exists in 170 countries. At the same time, five variants, including Mu, need to be monitored. After being found in Colombia, Mu has been reported in other South American countries and Europe.‎

‎The Union Government points out that there are no cases of C.1.2 Kovid-19 variant in India so far. But the question still arises as to how deadly it is. No specific information is available for this. In addition to this covid, which has already been classified by the World Health Organization, another variant, C.1.2, has been discovered. But the World Health Organization has made it clear that it has not been distinguished as a covid variant and is being monitored. At the same time, none of these variants have been found in India.‎

Kerala's covid resistance is excellent: Noted health experts register satisfaction‎

2021-09-01T09:43:00.002-07:00

‎Thiruvananthapuram: Noted health experts have said that the covid preventive measures in Kerala are exemplary. The chief minister's office also said in a news note that experts, including from abroad, congratulated Kerala at an on-line meeting chaired by the Chief Minister to assess the Covid situation in Kerala and provide guidance.‎

‎In general, everyone in the discussion suggested that the preventive measures adopted by Kerala since the first day of the Covid Pandemic were effective. Several pointed out that the Cerro Prevention Survey conducted by ICMR found that Kerala was the state that infected the fewest. At the same time, the state was congratulated for reducing the death rate by strengthening the health sector.‎

‎Experts noted that there should be no need to worry about the increase in the number of patients and that the spread of the disease will be controlled sooner rather than later as vaccination goes well. The fact that the number of people admitted to hospitals is at least not dangerous is a sign that the outbreak is not dangerous. The meeting therefore concluded that deliberations to further activate the economic and social sectors of Kerala were essential. There was a serious discussion on the opening of educational institutions. The meeting also discussed new ideas that could be adopted in testing and immunization to prevent the spread of covid. She also noted that Kerala is the best managed state in India.‎

‎What is the Mu variant of Covid? What are the specifics of the virus monitored by the World Health Organization‎

2021-09-01T09:40:00.002-07:00

‎Geneva: The World Health Organization has named a new variant of Covid as the coronavirus continues to spread globally. The new variant is named 'Mu' by the World Health Organization. In addition to Mu, the Eta, Llota, Kappa and Lambada variants have also been reported in various parts of the world and named by the Lokaragya Organization.

‎

‎Scientifically known as B.1.621, the Mu variant of coronavirus. The presence of the Mu variant of Covid was first discovered in Colombia in January 2021. Later in August it was classified as a variant of Covid.‎

‎But experts point out that existing covid vaccines cannot be resistant. There is a genetic change in this virus at risk. But more studies are needed to learn more about this virus. Experts have found that although the immune system against the variant may be present, genetic modification occurs in the virus.‎

‎The Union Government points out that there are no cases of C.1.2 Kovid-19 variant in India so far. But the question still arises as to how deadly it is. No specific information is available for this. After Colombia, mu variant has been reported in other South American countries and Europe. Although three cases have not been widely reported worldwide, its presence in Colombia is around 39 percent.‎

‎In addition to this covid, which has already been classified by the World Health Organization, another variant, C.1.2, has been discovered. But the World Health Organization has made it clear that it has not been distinguished as a covid variant and is being monitored. At the same time, none of these variants have been found in India.‎

‎Congress rule to fall in Perinngottukurshii? 10 members to resign? Gopinath for shocked move‎

2021-08-30T08:34:00.001-07:00

‎Palakkad; With Congress leader and former MA AV Gopinath leaving the party, peringottukursi panchayat administration is the most watched. The party had 11 members, including Gopinath, in the panchayat known as Ponnapuram Fort of the Congress. Gopinath's followers are the other 10. Rumours are that the leaders are preparing to sabotage the panchayat administration following Gopinath's resignation.‎

‎From 1979 onwards, the panchayat, which had stood firm with the Congress, was the one that had stood firm. The panchayat stood firm with the Congress even when there were various coups within the party. Gopinath had graced the presidency for the rest of the year except when the presidency was reserved thrice in 42 years. Under Gopinath's influence, the Congress was able to consolidate its influence even in the left centres of the panchayat.‎ ‎Earlier in the assembly elections, the members of Panchat had declared their readiness to resign after Gopinath fell out with the party leadership. With Gopinath's resignation, there is a possibility of a coup in the panchayat at any moment. At present, the CPM has 5 members in the Panchayat.‎

‎At the same time, when asked if his followers who were panchayat members would be ready to resign, Gopinath replied that he had not forced anyone and should ask the panchayat members about his resignation. At the same time, if the CPM is able to take over the panchayat rule in front of Gopinath, it will be a major setback for the Congress in the district.‎

‎Meanwhile, the CPM welcomed Gopinath, who had left the Congress. The CPM district committee said gopinath's honour was welcome and it was understood that gopinath's example would be adopted by several more Congress leaders.Former DCC chairperson and MLA AV Gopinath left the party after he was dropped from the post of DCC chairperson. Gopinath told a news conference that he had not considered joining the other party soon. But there are rumours that Gopinath has held discussions with CPM leaders. It is estimated that he may officially join the party soon.‎
