Setup contain following option

a- Change Password: - If user wants to change password, in change password enter old password, than enter new password and confirm password and save it.

b- User Right: - User Rights design assign right to user, only information available to user which are selected for particular user.

c- Session Setup: - Session setup design for the separation of data year wise.

d- Shift Setup: - Setup shift, in school, just create shift like Morning, Evening OR After noon.

e- Class Setup: - Now time to setup class from I to X with section Like V-A, V-B etc.

f- Exam Setup:- Setup your exam system, it vary educational institute, some institute exam system based like Half Yearly, yearly exam on other hand some educational institute take periodic test after three month etc. So just create your own exam setup as you wish, but remember there is active option, marks will be save as Mark of active exam selected.

g- Fees Setup: - Create fees head which are collected by educational institute.

h- Subject Setup:- Create setup of all subject teach in whole educational institute, on later setup subject will be separate class wise, separated subject will be show according to selected in Marks Entry, Student Report card etc.

i- Category Setup: - Create category of student if administration want to separate the student category wise, just in different educational institute Like Defense OR Army they separate the category wise student Like, Civilian, Army, Air Force, Navy etc.

j- Class wise subjects: - At earlier stage we have created the list of subject, but now we are going to separate the subject of every class, properly select the subject of each class and assign the Maximum and passing marks of each class.

k- Class wise fees:- Fess head [Title] are create, now assign the Fess Amount of every class and its fees according to category wise.

These all are setup form, which need to configure only once, some alteration OR change can be done if needed, we have create user, session, shift, class, exam, fees, subject etc. The setup of school completed.

Now time to come on transaction, because we have completed the setup of school.

In Transaction contain three options

i- Student Information: - In Student Information, enter all relevant information of student from Student Admission Form. Student Information also contain Picture of student, Camera as well scanner can be used, If camera is attach with system and proper driver is install it will start automatically. In case of scanner scan picture and copy file into folder Name picture in the folder of software. Name of picture should as it is as the student ID Like, Pic000001.

ii- Fees Entry: - In Fees Entry module enter the month wise collected fees from student, in fees history show the history of student paid fees.

iii- Mark Entry: - In Marks Entry, select class and enter mark of subject in proper column of subject from list marks create by class teacher.

ASP Primer: Getting Started

What Do I Need?

As you learned in the ASP introduction primer, ASP is a server-side technology which means that the server for your website is the sole controller of whether or not ASP is available to you. ASP is also a product of Microsoft which means it will only run on Microsoft Operating System, however, there is a third party package that will help you get around this problem. We'll talk about that later.

If you are using a hosting service or getting some free personal web space with your ISP you will want to check with them to see if ASP is available to you. You can also write a simple test page to verify whether ASP works on your server if you don't want to take the time to contact your web host.

Here is a simple page for you to enter and test for ASP:

Don't worry about how the code works for now. We'll get to all of that soon enough. Be sure to save the page with the .asp extension instead of the .html extension or you will not get the desired result. The .asp extension simply let's the server know that the page is an ASP page and it should be processed accordingly. If you forget and leave the .html extension on the end then the server will just send the page on its merry way to the browser and it will never get processed. Also, ASP pages are uploaded to your websites the same way that your HTML pages are, nothing different.

Now, if you are running your own server at home or work then you will have some configuring ahead of you. First of all, you will need to have IIS up and running. IIS is available to you in various forms on any Microsoft operating system from Windows 95 on.

How Does It Work?

Now that you have a platform for running your ASP pages, hopefully, I'll bet you would like to know how the pages are actually processed. Well, it's pretty simple actually.

Each time a request is made from a browser for an ASP page the server takes a look at that ASP page to see what it (the server) needs to do. This process is referred to as interpreting. In other words, the server reads each ASP page as it is requested, interprets the code in the page and then spits out the desired result to the browser. Because of this fact, you will be the only one that can see your code on your ASP pages since only the HTML gets sent to the browser. No worries about someone "stealing" your ASP code.

While you might think that the whole process would result in a big pause while the pages are processed it really doesn't. As long as you keep your ASP pages to a reasonable length you will probably not notice any difference between an ASP page and a simple HTML page.

So, what exactly gets sent to the browser? Nothing but simple HTML. Since the browser is not a very worldly piece of software it generally only speaks a few languages, HTML and JavaScript. Therefore, ASP sends each page to the browser in HTML.

Does this mean I can't use JavaScript with ASP? No, not at all. As a matter of fact you can even use JavaScript instead of VBScript to write your ASP pages. We'll discuss that later, though.

Now, don't worry if this doesn't make perfect sense to you right now. As we move on and you get a chance to create some ASP pages of your own the whole process will become much more clear to you.

Make Your First ASP Page

Well, actually you already did. The test page code listed above is a fully functional ASP page. So, let's take a closer look at it and see what it is doing.

The first thing you probably noticed were the goofy looking <% and %> tags. Those little guys are ASP's way of telling the server that inside here is some code that needs to be looked at and processed. Also, did you notice that the ASP tags are sprinkled in and amongst the standard HTML that you are already familiar with? You'll find that most of your ASP pages will be a mixture of ASP and HTML.

You also probably noticed the <% Option Explicit %> at the top of the page. Memorize this. As a matter of practice you should always put it at the top of every ASP page that you create. It forces you to declare all of the variables in your application (we'll talk about that in greater detail later). It will save you a great deal of headache when you begin to debug you pages.

Next there is <%@ Language="VBScript" %>. This simply tells the server what language you have chosen for your ASP pages. For the purposes of this series we will be using VBScript but if you are more familiar with JavaScript please feel free to use that instead.

The next part of the page uses the Dim statement and the Response object. These are two items that we will be discussing in the next part of this series, so we'll skip them for now. If you want to play around with the page, however, feel free to put anything you want within the quotes instead of "ASP is Working!".

What Is ASP?

ASP is an acronym for Microsoft's Active Server Pages. Now, ASP may seem like a bit of an odd name but, believe it or not, some real thought went into coming up with the name.

The reason that Microsoft named the technology Active Server Pages is because it very basically describes what the technology is all about:

The Active refers to the fact that the HTML is created dynamically by your ASP pages.
The Server refers to the fact that this process is done on the server-side and not the client-side. An example of a client-side technology would be JavaScript which is a language that actually runs in the browser. Server-side technologies like ASP run on the server and send out simple HTML to the browser.
Then there is Pages. I don't think this one needs any explaining.

ASP is referred to as a server technology. This means that it is technically not a programming language, however, you will probably hear ASP referred to as a language from time to time. When working in ASP you will actually write ASP in cooperation with either JavaScript or VBScript, which are the actual programming languages that are available to you. The distinction between a server technology and a programming language can be very confusing, especially to beginning developers. So, for now, don't worry about the distinction too much. It will become more apparent as you learn about ASP.

How Can I Use ASP?

There are probably a million and one uses that you could come up with for ASP. ASP is great for creating almost any kind of dynamic web content from discussion groups to shopping carts. Here are some examples of common ASP applications:

Personal uses:

A randomized thought of the day on your home page.
A dynamically generated calendar of events for your kids.
A web based movie exchange application for you and your friends.
A guestbook form that stores your guests' information in a database.
A personal greeting for your visitors.

Business Uses:

Shopping Carts
Discussion Groups
Personal Greetings
Client account information
Secured sections of your site
Web-based cost estimate configuration applications

These are obviously only a small portion of the applications that are possible. ASP is ideal for simplifying tasks that would otherwise be very cumbersome or impossible in HTML. It also makes possible the ability to design pages that can easily be maintained by you or your clients.

Be creative. Think of as many ways as you can to improve your website and see if ASP can bring your ideas to life

In this series we will cover most of the building blocks you will need to get comfortable and be productive with ASP. Along the way we'll give you ideas for projects to try on your personal site that will help you practice what you have learned. We will also recommend some books that might be helpful reference pieces.

Creating A Hypertext Link

Today you will learn only one basic technique: How to create a (hyper) link to another page. It's a set tag format that's part of the Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) like any of the others you may have seen. Once you learn the format, you can make as many links as you want to any other page you want.

Now an example: What is below would create a link to the HTML Goodies home page.

A stands for Anchor. It begins the link to another page.

HREF stands for Hypertext REFerence. That's a nice, short way of saying to the browser, "This is where the link is going to go."

http://www.programmerskey.blogspot.com is the FULL ADDRESS of the link. Also notice that the address has an equal sign in front of it and is enclosed in quotes. Why? Because it's an attribute of the Anchor tag, a command inside of a command.

Where it reads "Click Here" is where you write the text you want to appear on the page. What is in that space will appear on the page for the viewer to click. So, write something that denotes the link.

/A ends the entire link command.

To Delete a Chart

Excel allows you to create all sorts of charts based on the data in a worksheet table. These charts can either be on their own sheets or they can be embedded within a regular worksheet. At some point you may have a need to delete a chart. To delete an embedded chart, all you need to do is select it (so that handles appear around the perimeter of the chart object) and then press the Delete key. If you need to delete a chart sheet, you do so in the same manner as when you delete a regular worksheet:

1. Display the chart sheet.
2. Choose Delete Sheet from the Edit menu or, if you are using Excel 2007, display the Home tab of the ribbon and then choose the Delete down-arrow (in the Cells group) and finally Delete Sheet. Excel asks if you are sure you want to delete the sheet.
3. Click on OK. The chart sheet is deleted.

Most printers these days allow you to print in either of two formats: portrait or landscape. Portrait means that information is printed parallel to the short edge of your paper. Landscape means it is printed parallel to the long edge.

In order to change your printing orientation, you need to let Excel know how you want to print. To modify the paper orientation, follow these steps:

1. Choose the Page Setup option from the File menu. Excel displays the Page Setup dialog box.

2. Make sure the Page tab is selected.

3. In the Orientation area at the top of the dialog box, click on either the Portrait or Landscape radio buttons.

4. Click on OK to close the Page Setup dialog box.
