It affects the last few years children's literature in which it offers quality works of very different in their expression or graphic narrative and contributes thereby to a better understanding of culture and African society.

Today, I invite you to a trip to Burkina Faso in the footsteps of "Cococrico, small Pila" Veronica Vernette, published in "Paradise Lost"

It is the story of a chicken that leads the market in the city. Embedded with pigs, sheep and other vegetables in a bus full to bursting, Pila sees little scroll along the dusty red and all kinds of landscapes.

But where do we want to bring the wonders chicken frightened? Arrived in Ouagadougou, the concern is greatest. Taking advantage of a bargain that does not eventually, Piga managed to save it for the road in the opposite direction. and thus find their way to freedom.

A little mischievous adventure, illustrated in the form of a sketchbook. This small colorful album offers a fresh burst evocation of space. Funny and enjoyable.

A recommendation from 5 years

<!-- Tag links generated by Zoundry Raven. It was in 1835 that are published "The stories told for children
Andersen was thirty years, but he wrote until his death, a collection of stories to the delight of his contemporaries. Its fame crossed borders and we all have in mind these little stories, we offered as a gift through time and space:

The ugly duckling-The new clothes of the emperor-the-wild swans The shepherdess and the chimneysweep-The Little Mermaid The little-girl-allumettes The Snow Queen ...

What characterizes Andesen, compared with Grimm, for example, it is beyond folklore. His inspiration so subtle can not in a collection of tales from the folk tradition. It creates a totally personal work, full of humanity that draws on the attendance of children. For him, the most ordinary pretext for invention: an object, a plant, a dwarf, a princess. In a word simply object to the fairy topped mystery.

Obviously, the bicentenary of his birth has given rise to some publication which some great qualities.

In 2005 is published by North-South famous story The Little Mermaid, illustrated by Lisbeth Swerger.

A tale that has spread around the world. The image of the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen is present in everyone's minds. The little mermaid whose eternal loneliness, despite the many bystanders that came to him to find perhaps an echo of their own loneliness. Who knows? This is certainly the most famous tale. The most loved? Well, I do not know.

But the work presented here is a total beauty. Illustrating a pace well translated. The reasons follow the narration: marine grounds and flowers and insects. Large plates, with a fascinating beauty, punctuate the text with regard to drive real tables.

An album that dazzles the musicality of the text and images.

Recommended for everyone from 5 years

<!-- Tag links generated by Zoundry Raven. Two letters, one for dad, one for the mother. A terse letter that says the worst: they are dismissed in September. They will be four-twenty to suffer the same fate. Maurice's son is not part of the cart. Not yet.
What to do?
"We will fight," said Elva.
Workers organized. Elva participates in its own way. It was fifteen years old but it is a rebel.
However, as time passes, the more likely moves.
Meanwhile, Elva met Lucia daughter of Charles Lepontailler, HRD The Francilienne. It has seventeen years and broke her beauty wherever it goes. They meet and it was love at first sight. Elva between "The Red" and that everything should Lucie oppose the revelation of love is also impétieux their youth. Lucia will go to participate in the movement.
At the end of the story, we learn that the plant will close in December, leaving the city exangue. Elva's parents, opened a pizzeria in Strasbourg, "The Francilienne," but nothing is the same as before.
The father of Lucie HRD will be in Brest and drown his grief into Base Wednesday Lucie graduated in Law. Elva wants to be an actress.
The two girls will often call, convinced that they will meet a day "because the cherries come back." "It is always when you believe," said Elva.
Far from soothing story, Jean-Paul Nozière wrote a novel whose merit is to avoid the trap of Manichaeism. Many details are of great accuracy. The relationship of two young girls, against a backdrop of social movement that shook the city, without evasion is treated with sensitivity.
This story will be of interest to young people and adults if there is no literature for young people but to literature itself.
Recommended for all from 13 years

<!-- Tag links generated by Zoundry Raven. But it is also true with Yves struck.

We are in the seventeenth century, during the reign of Louis XIV and says Yves struck last trip to "The hull beak", under the command of Forban Mission.

However, Mission actually lived at that time. Yet, he dreamed of establishing a republic where all men are equal. Great inventor of new mécvaniques it upriver Helmend. This will be his last trip to the end of his dream.

During that equipped us to know the characters board:

Gwenn-ago we already know.
The master-whose dream will turn into madness.
The master-cock Calico
-Lobo, the boatswain, violent and disturbing character.
-Lazarus, the surgeon and Caraccioli, the renegade monk.
-The caulking and thirteen prisoners, joined Ruffi pat their leader, silent witnesses of what is unfolding before their eyes.
These colorful characters give the story its density and its original character. Writing Yves struck is still hitting and chiseled.

It is a book we recommend without hesitation for all lovers of maritime novels

As a prologue, the surgeon Lazarre offers us a story full of nostalgia for the years spent in the Flibuste.

Recommended for all from 11 years

<!-- Tag links generated by Zoundry Raven. They discovered his secret hideout. Over short paragraphs that follow, he tells their story but also its own history, that of war and blood.

And fantasy mixed with the narrative and the imagination is just Pagaille with it because we can imagine dark and sad stories, a secret friendship, games and gaiety to alleviate the sadness.

This outstanding book is constructed from short texts. The language is simple and takes the children to make reading familiar.

And then the story takes place smoothly, so smooth and clear.

In the story, there is a destination that we will not know until the end, but the recipient is also the child who reads.

The illustration complete happiness with the unspoken and rhythm to express the emotion ...
It is a beautiful book to read and watch with pleasure.

Mess is published in Rouergue

<!-- Tag links generated by Zoundry Raven. However, two crooks roam around the house at an alarming rate. Worse, one of the two crooks, named Jacky, is none other than the new friend of her mother.

The story is a step backwards and the gray areas surrounding the image of the father of Kevin, who died without children do not know the circumstances, immediately place the story in a climate of concern (is it living?) and explain the psychological fragility of the child and his attachment to his mother.

But in the back story, we learn also that are crooks. The child has a confident benefactor and ally, his Teddy bear that holds in its belly jewelry that sells at a certain Raymond to help her mother to finish for months. It also has a friend "Tiffany-Tigress" that not easily taken in and without which the outcome could have been really dramatic.

This story is written oppressive dramatically.

The characters, the game of twists, the mixture of polar and family drama that make this novel reads of trafficking.

It is a real thriller for children, effective writing very successful.

A strongly recommended for all from 11 years

<!-- Tag links generated by Zoundry Raven. A sort of form in the naive trait of a flower. so innocent. In fact Blop is the child we were and it is the child who reads history.

Blop it is me and others. Other blop, my fellow men. But there are also animals and blop blop blossom.

Throughout the album, to cover flexible and smooth pages, we share the daily life of a small blop the move, which surprised that discovers. And it goes with him in rapturous delight.

The colors are acid tonics. Typography calls for playback. The text to quiet humor encourages its oralisation. In Plant is the title of the book published only where the talents of illustrator once again marvel.

Over the months, we move work around the garden and children's games.
These are the first day of summer, is not it? I open the album: a chair in the garden, a watercolor representing a flower of dog rose, that of a butterfly, stains pastel colors, a small watering can and then a dense wood for games. The child has to be played mechanical? A large structure is derived: blocking

Sowing for the child is not fun. Only the game account.

The next page opens on a scrabble we discovered behind a one fourche. On can read the words trained or prepared to be: harvesting, weeding, weeding, rfleurs seed ...
At the top of the page, above the garden, peonies orange.
Time passes, the child grown acknowledgment home. The mother continues its work Semeuse.
Then one day, the young son and escorting s visit. It's party. Christmas maybe?
Superb festive meal that ends with a question to which the mother responds surprised and delighted by another: Tools, you want tools ... I also put in the garden!
A history of transmission and therefore patience ..

We must turn the pages of the book to appreciate beauty. It is "Monster sick" Emmanuelle Houdard for the text and illustrations, published by Thierry Magnier.

Our little monsters are sometimes sick, you agree? But curiously large monsters, devils and other terrifying creatures, are sometimes met with the same illnesses and is also serious, very serious because their reactions are to their monstrosity.

Thus, Emmanuelle Houdard declines Does the great evils of our great monsters. : Sleeping sickness, indigestion, sore throat, sleepwalking, loss of voice, chickenpox, migraines and other rages teeth, not to mention the disease of love ...

Between poetry and science, this is an album that does not lack boldness. Original explanation of the world, of human behavior interpretation by the metaphors and symbols all through them to us and we appealed. Car myths through time and are often violent, but also poetry with the great questions of humanity. Their universality ensures their survival since ancient times where there were known and handed to us.

Thus, the myth of Icarus, the mad dream of a wise old man and his son: transgressing the will of the gods wanting to realize the human dream: to escape Earth gravity to fly free as birds.

For those who know the result is a genuine pleasure to read.

And for new readers an opportunity to enter the wonderful world of the story of Daedalus and Icarus his son.

A careful editing. Jean-comes Nogues, famous for its historical towards youth, proposed a text that writing well aware of the climate in both violent and full of poetry text revisited here.

Hippolyte illustrations, graphics precise play of black and ocher and make so striking the tragic fate of heroes.

The album, edited by Nathan, very successfully recommend for everyone from 9 years

A book for you

Here's a rare book, a book surprisingly, a book sublime.
It is a book Kveta Pacovska. Its title is simply: "A book for you", published by Picador.

A book for you, is this book is a gift? Yes, a book gift, since it is an order made at the famous Make books "artist" by the General Council of Val de Marne to give every child born in 2005.

In Val de Marne, is now a long tradition.

It is a superb book object. When it opens, it is a succession surprises: colors, materials, folding, effects of mirrors, work opportunities through openings in the paper suggest that suggest ...

And use of colors is an incredible dynamism.

Here's what Vetka Pacovska responded to a one crtique art who asked about the predominance of red in his work:

I like all colors but some are harder to work than others:
White is the best color for me because it is pure
The yellow color is the best for me by its heat
Red is the best color for me, warm and brilliant
The green color is the best for me reflects the living.
The blue color is the best for me because it is linked to our minds
Black is the best color for me because it is the queen of colors that contains all the colors, covers all.
Each color is for me the best.

But this book offers so much beauty and poetry when it is deployed on the ground and on whether it is at the center, they will be right in the middle of a magic circle where you discover a whole world, a other world.

Kveta Pacovska, originally from Prague, received his albums for multiple international awards including the famous Hans Christian Andersen prize and his works are set in the world. The quality of his texts is both the order and the intimate story of initiation through large areas crossed ..

Here, it is an adventure is adventure UINEA "immobile" in question because everything happens in the middle of a closed city.

Three boys, now three friends. Thus, the story unfolds with a natural disconcerting.

And then the routine is broken without expect a day, Tsen, said "The charm" dry college. Sick he said. There are some events that we tend to shut while others are under the spotlight of the news. Editions "Rue du monde" in their collection "History of History" took the initiative to recall this event with great distance and restraint. The text is by Alain Serres and illustrations of Zau.

How to address a young player this terrible episode? The tale, perhaps, is a way of saying these things and this edition succeeds perfectly.

As every year, Yoko prepares his gift for his old great aunt Tsukyo long hospitalized.
As every year, Yoko, wants to know the facts by the mouth of the grandmother. As every year, his old great aunt took refuge in the chaos of a lost memory.

AND Yoko not know about this year because Tsukyo has been a long time in a psychiatric hospital because the injury was too great.

A sensitive and full of restraint in the history of Hiroshima. Small vignettes punctuate the story reminding us of the facts accurately, supporting photographs.

The dialogue between the girl and her great aunt who had his age at the time of the events shows the trauma of victims of the bomb, many victims who have fled into oblivion.

The text of Alain Serres describes the desire to know the child and the problem of transmission. The illustrations are in line with the connection by using colors that reflect unhappiness and beauty of life.

A recommendation from age 8

Images of the World

Images of the World and its side of Sophie Dutertre edition Threshold Youth
Children love to handle books, and where possible the pleasure is increased tenfold. The theme of modern sorcerer here is brought vividly. The adaptation is made is particularly careful. Shadow and light of leux, lags situations and treatment of the plot are expressed here with great efficiency and elegance.

The strangeness of the connection is made by a certain color narrative in the introduction to history.

The opposition between Jekyll, human, while finesse and cordial and Hyde aspect to signs bestial and pushing the duality between good and evil.

We learn eventually that the experiments of Dr. Jekyll created his evil double in Mr Hyde. And when Hyde is trying to become Jekyll, unable to find the right formula of its mixture, it kills to escape the police while the good Dr. Jekyll dies in turn.

The battle of good and evil, old myth of humanity, is handled through the album in a masterly outstanding. And the beautiful illustrations by Ludovic beautifully Debeurme make the strangeness of the story.

No doubt this album seduce young readers and adults.

A recommendation from age 12

<!-- Tag links generated by Zoundry Raven.
