Hercules (Rome Emperor) and Questions about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Arabia, during the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s), was a country without any central authority. It was a country far from the civilised nations of those days.

At the time Prophet Muhammad (s) was spreading Islam; asking people to turn away from worshipping idols to worshipping Allah, the Almighty, the All-Knower, the Master.

The Prophet sent letters of invitation to Kings and Rulers of various countries in the world, inviting them to embrace Islam. Many of the letters were met with a favourable response whilst others were rejected. In many cases, the messengers of the Prophet were badly treated and abused. But the Prophet was not worried by these setbacks. He was inviting people to the right path and a few setbacks could not deter him from propagating Islam.

Abu Sufyan a leader of the tribe of Quraish and the arch enemy of the Prophet was in Constantinople on a business trip, when the Prophet's letter of invitation reached Hercules, the Byzantine emperor of Eastern Roman Empire. Hercules, at the time was in his court at Constantinople celebrating his victory over the Persians.

Hercules read the letter through an interpreter and then asked the people in his court, to find out if there was someone in the city, who knew the Prophet. Abu Sufyan with his companions was brought into the court.

The emperor asked Abu Sufyan, "What kind of family does Muhammad belong to?"

"Noble", replied Abu Sufyan

"Has there been a king in his family?" Hercules asked.

"No," said Abu Sufyan

"Are the people who have accepted his religion poor or rich?", Hercules questioned again.

"They are poor", replied Abu Sufyan.

Hercules was now becoming more and more interested and he went on asking questions.

His next question was, "Are his followers on the increase or decrease?"

"Increasing", Abu Sufyan replied shortly.

"Have you known him to tell lies"? asked Hercules.

"No", admitted Abu Sufyan.

"Does he ever go against his convents?", Hercules once again asked.

"Not so far. But we have to see whether he carries out the new agreement made between us and him", Abu Sufyan answered lengthily for a change.

"Have you ever fought him in wars?" Hercules questioned.

"Yes", answered Abu Sufyan

"What has been the result?" Hercules asked, getting more and more interested.

"Sometimes we have won, sometimes he", replied Abu Sufyan.

"What does he teach?" asked Hercules

"Worship One God, join no partners with Him, carry out your prayers, be chaste, speak the truth and keep union with your relatives", answered Abu Sufyan, even surprised at his own answer as it sounded like he was preaching Islam.

Hercules, on hearing this testimony, Hercules stood up and said,"I fully realize that Prophets come from noble families; he does not affect any previous example of Prophethood Since none of his ancestors was a monarch, we cannot then allege that he is a man trying to reclaim his father’s monarchy. So long as he does not tell lies to people, he is for the more reason, immune to telling lies as regards Allâh. Concerning his followers being those deemed weak with numbers ever growing, it is something that goes in agreement with questions of Faith until this latter assumes its full dimensions geographically and demographically. I have understood that no instance of apostasy has as yet appeared among his followers, and this points to the bliss of Faith that finds its abode in the human heart. Betrayal, as I see, is alien to him because real Prophets hold betrayal in abhorrence. Bidding worship of Allâh with no associates, observance of prayer, honesty and abstinence and prohibition of paganism are traits bound to subject to him all my possessions. I have already known that a Prophet must arise but it has never occurred to me that he will be an Arab from among you. If I was sure I would be faithful to him, I might hope to meet him, and if I were with him, I would wash his feet."

This was the way in which the Prophet spread Islam. He impressed them by his truthfulness, honesty, noble character and dedication in the service of Allah. He did not compel people to accept Islam under threat of waging wars, nor did he compel people to accept Islam by the force of the sword. He fought only in defence, and only when the enemies waged war on him.

Teaching Children to Pray – Some Tips

Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-Asr, narrated that the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said,

“Command your children to make salah when they become seven years old…” Abu Dawud

This does not mean that parents can only start teaching their children how to perform it when they reach the age of seven. Rather, informal instruction should start when a child starts to show an interest in salah, which usually occurs around the age of two. It is only human nature that children love to imitate their parents. In fact, this is one method that Allah has provided us for teaching our youth.

Here are some quick tips:

Informal teaching should start when child starts to show interest usually occurs around the age of two.
Let them pretend to make salah.
Invite them to pray along side and join the family jemaah prayer.
At a young age, children usually imitate what they see, so it is important to always pray in front of them
One of the first steps is to learn al-Fatihah which should begin around the age of three or four. Break down the instructions by using reasonable number of verses or small segments.
The practice session should only last between 5 to 15 minutes. At this age consistency is more important than length of practice.
Remind them that they are praying to Allah to thank him for all He has given them
Important to remember that not all children are ready at the same time and that not everyday will the child be ready to learn new materials.
Educational products can assist parents in achieving success with their children because children generally learn in different ways therefore introduction of material through different format (video, coloring book, going to the masjid) will help ease and reinforce the learning process.
One of the most important thing that a parent should do is to praise the child for each accomplished task and encouragement to achieve more success.

Does Inefficiency Go Against the Teachings of Islam?

This article serves as a reminder both to myself and to Productive Muslim followers of the need to master time and make the most of our journey through dunya. The following hadith shows us how important this is, and in fact the importance placed upon us as Muslims to utilise time efficiently:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, ‘Allah said: “The son of Adam hurts Me by abusing Time, for I am Time; in My Hands are all things and I cause the revolution of night and day”’[Bukhari].

Below are some tips on how to remain efficient at any time of the year and make the most of your time.

Social Media

You don't need me to tell you that the likes of Facebook and Twitter can be huge time wasters. If used selectively, good can come of them, but as with all things, moderation is key. This can be difficult when you're sucked into reading the ins and outs of other people’s lives and Shaytan creeps in. Before you know it hours have passed and your to-do list is just as long as when you sat down at your desk. Ramadan was a detox for your body and mind – why not do the same now for your social media habits? Continue to connect with your loved ones, but in real life!

Multi-Tasking

It might be tempting to multi-task when you have countless pressing tasks. However, it is evident from a previous ProductiveMuslim article that our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) did not. Modern day productivity tips also suggest that focusing on one task at a time actually means you work more efficiently – see other Productive Muslim articles for more information on this, or visit the likes of www.zenhabits.net. The idea is to focus on the most difficult task as soon as possible, and take the easier tasks one by one following completion of this.

Don't Put Off Until Tomorrow…

We all know the saying, yet how many of us actually take note of the wisdom it imparts? How many times have you said ‘ I'll do this tomorrow, inshaAllah’ when deep down you know you won’t? Instead, ask yourself: Do I have time for this today? Yes? Then just go do it! Ultimately, only Allah (glorified and exalted be He) knows how long we have in this life, so don't take the time you have been blessed with for granted. Use every day to be productive in some way!

Have set times for doing certain tasks so that they become part of your routine. This way you won't need to waste time thinking which task comes next. Try to plan for the following day the night before – inshaAllah you can then hit the ground running the next morning.

Know Yourself

Take a good hard look at when you seem to work the best – if you’re not sure then experiment with different timings to see when you are most productive e.g. after Fajr salah, or between Maghrib and Isha. Utilise this time slot, and plan your schedule accordingly – tasks allocated to these periods are likely to be completely more efficiently.

Gradual Change

Perhaps the most important tip is not to make all of these changes at once. If you do, you're more than likely to stop after a week or so. Make the changes gradually and inshaAllah you will see the benefits over time.

Efficiency vs. Workaholic

It is important to remember that being efficient does not mean you have to be a workaholic or have no life outside of work. In fact, if you are being truly efficient, then you should have spare time left for other activities. Being efficient is related to all aspects of life, including family time and doing other things you love e.g. getting back to nature. The beauty of this is they work in an interconnected way – time for both work and play means you are more productive in both areas of your life, and you appreciate that time better. After all, the saying goes that if you want something done then give it to someone with a packed schedule – they will find the time to do it because they have limited time. The time spent with family and friends is also all the better because of it. Of course working hard, coupled with good intentions, is the key to being a productive Muslim; however, don't spend all of your time working as this will simply lead to overall inefficiency.

Islam and Time

Allah (glorified and exalted be He) tells us in the Quran that:

“Never will I allow to be lost the work of [any] worker among you, whether male or female; you are of one another” [3:195].

Allah (glorified and exalted be He) also asks:

“Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?” [23:115].

In Surah al-Asr we are told:

“By time, Indeed, mankind is in loss, Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience” [103:1-3].

InshaAllah let us remember these verses in our attempts to become more efficient with our time.

Subahanallah, In this picture, we can see how the parents taking care of its baby. The mother is helping to pull the baby UP, the Father is trying to push the baby UP!

Today most of the Human parents are busy with their own life, the child is neglected and left alone, the child grows without guidance and love, and finally parents grow old they expect love from their children.

How can they expect love and care when they have not taught their child how to love and care?

Take care of your children and don't expect from your children anything in return, for surely Allah will take care of you in this world and hereafter world.

Don't Judge anyone

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes & went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy’s father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor. On seeing him, the dad yelled:

“Why did U take all this time to come? Don't U know that my son’s life is in danger? Don't U have any sense of responsibility?”

The doctor smiled & said:
“I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital & I came as fast as I could after receiving the call…… And now, I wish you'd calm down so that I can do my work”

“Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would U calm down? If your own son dies now what will U do??” said the father angrily

The doctor smiled again & replied: “I will say what Job said in the Holy Book “From dust we came & to dust we return, blessed be the name of God”. Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go & intercede for your son, we will do our best by God’s grace”

“Giving advises when we're not concerned is so easy” Murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,
“Thank goodness!, your son is saved!” And without waiting for the father’s reply he carried on his way running. “If U have any question, ask the nurse!!”

“Why is he so arrogant? He couldn't wait some minutes so that I ask about my son’s state” Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: “His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery. And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish his son’s burial.”

Moral-Never judge anyone….. because U never know how their life is & what they're going through

Islamic Clothing Requirements / Dressing Code

Islam gives guidance about all aspects of life, including matters of public decency. Islam has no fixed standard as to the style of dress or type of clothing that Muslims must wear. However, some minimum requirements must be met.

Islam has two sources for guidance and rulings: the Quran which is considered to be the revealed word of Allah, and the Hadith or traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who serves as a human role model and guide.

----

1st Requirement: What parts of the body are to be covered

The first bit of guidance given in Islam describes the parts of the body which must be covered in public.

For women: In general, standards of modesty call for a woman to cover her body, particularly her chest. The Quran calls for women to "draw their head-coverings over their chests" (24:30-31), and the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) instructed believing women to cover their bodies. Most Muslims interpret this to require head-coverings for women. Some Muslim women cover the entire body, including the face and/or hands.

For men: The minimum amount to be covered is between the navel and the knee.

2nd Requirement: Looseness

Islam also guides that clothing must be loose enough so as not to outline or distinguish the shape of the body. Skin-tight, body-hugging clothes are out, for both men and women. When in public, some women wear a cloak over their personal clothing as a convenient way to hide the curves of the body. In many predominantly Muslim countries, men's traditional dress is somewhat like a loose robe, covering from the neck to the ankles.

3rd Requirement: Thickness

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) once warned that in later generations, there would be people "who are dressed yet naked." See-through clothing is not modest, for either men or women. The clothing must be thick enough so that the color of the skin it covers is not visible, nor the shape of the body underneath.

4th Requirement: Overall appearance

The overall appearance of a person should be dignified and modest. Shiny, flashy clothing may technically meet the above requirements, but defeat the purpose of overall modesty. (Clothing should not be worn for the sole purpose of gaining reputation or increasing one's status in society.)

5th Requirement: Not imitating opposite sex

Islam encourages people to be proud of who they are. Muslims should look like Muslims. Women should be proud of their femininity and not dress like men. And men should be proud of their masculinity and not try to imitate women in their dress. For this reason, Muslim men are forbidden from wearing gold or silk, as these are considered feminine accessories.

6th Requirement: Decent but not flashy

The Quran describes that clothing is meant to cover our private areas, and be an adornment (Quran 7:26). Clothing worn by Muslims should be clean and decent, neither excessively fancy nor ragged. One should not dress in order to gain the admiration or sympathy of others.

Beyond the Clothing: Behaviours and Manners:

Islamic clothing is but one aspect of modesty. More importantly, one must be modest in behaviour manners, speech and appearance in public. Dress is only one aspect of the total being, and merely reflects what is present on the inside of a person's heart.

New Fact - Analysis on Chapter Mary (Mariam)

Dr Millar, one of the mathematics scientists who converted to Islam, amazed me with his observation when he tried to read the Quran expecting that he would read things concerning the Prophet’s wife, his companions or a story about his life. Instead, he found a whole Surah talking about Mariam.

This scientist was astonished. While the four bibles didn’t specify a chapter for Miriam “peace be upon her”, neither her name was mentioned two nor three times, he found that Miriam's name was repeated in the Quran 34 times. Moreover, there was positive reception and admiration about Miriam “peace be upon her” in all the verses that her named was mentioned in. If Muhammad “peace be upon him” was the one who wrote the Quran, why did he specify a large space to talk about the Christ and his mother…. And forget about his wife Khadija for example?

Eisa’s name (Jesus) was mentioned 25 times in the Quran, and the Christ’s name was mentioned 11 times. However, Muhammad's name was mentioned 4 times only! If we glanced at all the Quran verses, we find that they come from a God source. More often, the speech comes in the glorifying (plural) format, for example: (Verily, We, it is we who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Quran) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption) [ Al-Hijr:9].(Verily, We will inherit the earth and whatsoever is thereon. And to Us they all shall be returned) [Miriam: 40]. (Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book) [Ya-sin: 12]. (Verily, We it is Who give life and cause death; and to Us is the final return) [Qaf: 43]. (Verily, it is We Who have sent down the Quran to you (O Muhammad) by stages) [A-Insan: 23].

Lets look momentarily to the format these verses were revealed in which couldn’t be written by Muhammad peace be upon him. If the prophet is the one who came up with the Quran, why does it speak to people in the plural format (Verily, We); why it did not say (I)? The reason is very simple; the one who revealed the Quran is ALLAH almighty. He who created the universe, he who gives life and causes death. Glorified (and exalted) be He above all that they associate with him.

In this Surah, the Christ and his mother “peace be upon them” were mentioned, and the Quran corrected the lies that the Jews made up for this great woman. It purified her from polytheism and disbelief and chose her above the women of mankind and jinn.

Here we ask the question: what does Muhammad “peace be upon him” benefit from correcting these lies. Why are all the prophets, in the Quran, mentioned in great honor, compared to Torah which claims that Allah's prophets had committed adultery, drinking, lying, and cheating…… why does this prophet (Muhammad peace be upon him) do these corrections and where does he bring this information from?

The answer is very simple; the one who taught the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is ALLAH almighty who knows the truths about everything. That is why this Surah witnesses the truth about the Quran, not as they claimed, that Muhammad took the information from the Torah and the Bible.

If that argument was true, we should have seen either a replication of the bible tale, or denying it. However, the Quran came with the true story which makes sense logically and scientifically.

It befits not the Majesty of ALLAH who created the universe, that he should beget a son. What does he need a son for? What is the profession of that son? Is he a God or what does he do? That is why we find that even a young child accepts the oneness of the lordship of ALLAH which is a proof that the humankind was created believing and witnessing that ALLAH is the one and the only God.

Hadith Info: Purity Necessary for Prayer

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) does not accept the prayer which is performed without purity.” [Muslim]

The people of a suburb of Madeenah, Quba, were very particular in cleanliness for performance of prayers for which Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) praised them: “In it (the masjid of Quba) are people who like to observe purity; and Allah loves those observing purity.” [Quran: Surah Taubah, Ayat 108]

All the leading newspapers in India in 1975 carried the Hindu Prime Minister Mr Morarji Desai’s statement: “I drink my own urine every morning.” A certain Hindu sweetmeat seller sprinkles cow urine (considered holy) on his sweetmeats when he opens the shop for the day, in order to acquire abundance. Perhaps this is because in no single book on the Hindu religion is any mention made on the precepts of purity and cleanliness. So it is up to an individual’s sense of cleanliness and decency to live like a human being.

In a similar manner, the concept of purity and cleanliness in the Sikh religion can be gauged from the fact that if a Sikh shaves his head or removes hair from his armpit or below the navel, or undergoes circumcision, he is excluded from the religion.

All praise is to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) who taught us through Islam how to stay clean and pure.

Not like those who are a mess

With parts of thier skin showing

However this Muslimah is glowing

With all the modesty and the deeds

Which she will take and plead

To Allah swt on Judgment Day

Whereas the ones who neglected thier own

Will beg and pray

For another chance

However it is now to late

They were under the devil's trance

Respect the right

Stones may be there along the way

It will all be worth it, if you just fight

Because it will all add up on Judgment Day.

Spend (in charity), out of what We have granted you, lest death comes to any of you and (remorsefully) he says, “My Lord, if only you grant me an extension, (a little more time), I would give (my wealth in) charity; and I would be righteous!” [Quran 36:10]

5 Benefits Of Taking Care Of Our Emaan.

At the root of our actions and thoughts, is our Iman. What we do, who we are and how life is going for us has a deep connection with the level of our Iman. Other than La Ilaha Illallah, how much do we nourish our Iman?

5 Reasons Why We Should Take Care Of Our Iman (although there are many more):

1. It brings us closer to achieving Jannah. We all want Jannah for ourselves and for others, because it is Allah SWT’s greatest gift to those whom He is pleased with, InshaAllah.

2. It is a means of escape from our problems. Who here doesn’t have challenges in their lives. We are always looking for a way out, and InshaAllah this is the best way.

3. It is a way to attain Allah SWT’s protection. There isn’t a moment in our lives, however great or small, that we don’t need Allah SWT’s protection and blessings over us. This we can never have enough of.

4. It allows us to enter into the strong holds of Brotherhood and Sisterhood. It is these bonds that make us special, make us powerful, InshaAllah. Who else can claim such close ties save those who have Iman?

5. It permits more goodness into our lives. Of course we want the best of the Akhira, but we also want and ask Allah SWT for the goodness in this world. In addition to making Du’a, increasing our Iman is a great way to kindle such goodness.

I trust in Allah that whatever He chooses will be the best.

One must, always expect good from Allah and trust His Decision and Judgment with regard to every aspect of his life. Allah has promised that if the believers show reliance in their Lord, then Allah will suffice them,

“Whoever trusts in Allah, will find Him sufficient. Verily, Allah will accomplish His purpose.” [Soorah at-Talaq 65:3]

The Qur'aan gives us the example of Prophet Yaqub's strong trust in Allah. He had very handsome children. When he sent his children to Egypt; he instructed them to enter Egypt through different gates because he feared evil eye for them.

“And he said, ‘O my son! Do not enter by one gate, but enter by different gates…”

and then he says,

“…I cannot avail you against Allah. The decision rests only with Allah. I put my trust in Him alone, and all who trust should only trust Him.” [Soorah Yusuf (12): 67]

Meaning although my precaution cannot prevent Allah's Decision and appointed Decree; I trust in Allah that whatever He chooses will be the best.

Hadith Info: Who Overpowers Whom

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The most perfect among the Mumineen in Emaan are those with the best character and the best among you are those whose character with their wives is best.” [Mishkaat]

We learn from this hadith that the highest standard of good character is good treatment to the wife.

Allama Aaloosi (rehmatullah) has related in Tafseer “Rooh ul Ma’aani” that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Those husbands who are merciful are overpowered by their wives, while those who are hard hearted, who have bad character, overpower their wives.”

This means that the wives start speaking sharply, they become playful towards the husband and display coquetry, but they do maintain and fulfill their rights.

Hadith Info: Anger and Revenge are From Fire

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Save yourself from anger, because it is a flaming fire which burns the heart of the son of Adam.” [Rooh ul Ma’aani]

After attaining Emaan remaining firm on it is called steadfastness.

There are many who act like the friends of Allah for one moment but the next moment they turn into devils. For a few days they are like angels, but when the self (Nafs) overpowers them, they become like devils. When anger overpowers them they do not think who they are and who their Allah is. Then they even forget that a little while ago they were reciting the Quran, last night they performed Tahajjud, and even prayed Ishraq this morning. In anger, they change into Shaytaan, say what they want to, and even beat someone up!

Why is such a person called a Shaytaan? Because Shaytaan is created from fire and anger is also created from fire.

That is why the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) recommended the person who feels himself to be getting angry, to drink water, since water quenches fire. Get away from the person making you angry, do Wudhu, splashing yourself well with water, and pray two Rakat Nafl asking Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) for help to subdue your anger.

Allamah Abul Qasim Qushairi said: “A friend of Allah does not take revenge, and one who takes revenge can never be a friend of Allah.”

There was an old man who would come out every morning on the steps of his front porch, raise his arms to the sky, and shout, "Praise be to God!"

One day an atheist moved into the house next door. Over time, he became irritated at the little old man. So every morning he would step out onto his front porch and yell after him, "There is no God!"

Time passed with the two of them carrying on the way every day. Then one morning in the middle of winter, the little old man stepped onto his front porch and shouted, "Praise be to God! Oh God, I have no food and I am starving. Please provide for me, oh God!"

The next morning, he stepped onto his porch and there were two huge bags of groceries sitting there. "Praise be to God!" he cried out. "He has provided groceries for me!" The atheist jumped out of the hedges and shouted, "There is no God. I bought those groceries!" The little old man threw his arms into the air and shouted, "Praise be to God! He has provided me with groceries and He made the devil pay for them!"

A Muslim wrote a letter to the editor of the Jammat newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to Mosque every Friday.

"I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me I can't remember a single one of them. So I think I'm wasting my time . . . and the Imaam they are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all."

This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the dismay of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:

"I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But for the life of me, I cannot recall what the menu was for a single one of those meals. But I do know this: they all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me those meals, I would be dead today."

No comments were made on the sermon contents anymore.

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “On the Day of Qiyaamah Allah Ta’ala will say, ‘Let that person stand who has a right over Me.’ None beside those will stand who forgave the faults of others in the world.” [Rooh ul Ma’aani]

One who contains his anger and forgives another his fault, never reminding him of it nor letting it affect his behaviour towards him will earn this privilege, that Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) will say He owes them something in exchange! SubhanAllah! He, whom all creation depends on for every breath, is offering this prize to those who forgive the faults of others.

The grandson of Ali (radi Allahu anhu), Zain-ul-Abideen Ali bin Husain was being assisted in the performance of Wudhu by a slave girl, when she happened to drop the water container wounding him thereby. He looked at the maid servant with angry eyes.

She, being a Haafidha (one who knows the entire Quran by heart), immediately recited the Ayat of the Quran, “The special servants of Allah are those who swallow their anger.” He said in response, “I have swallowed my anger.”

Upon hearing the command of Allah, he immediately submitted to it. The thought did not occur to him, “I am being addressed by a mere slave girl.” Immaterial of who utters it, it is the speech of Allah, therefore afford it its due regard.

Thereafter she continued with the next segment of the Ayah, “…and who forgive people.” He responded by saying, “I have forgiven you.” She then went further to complete the Ayah by reciting, “…and Allah loves those who are Muhsineen, those who do favours.” In response to this he said, “Go, for Allah’s sake I have set you free.”

"That's what we need in terms of finding new antibiotics, because all the usual places (such as soil microbes, fungi, and purely synthetic molecules) have been exhausted." Lee Added

The team tested nine separate types of antibacterial molecules found in the insects' brains and discovered that each molecule is specialized to kill a different type of bacteria.“This very clever defence mechanism allows the bugs to survive in the dirtiest of domains” Lee said.

Scientists say that insect-brain drugs for humans are still years away and they claim that cockroaches could one day save our life.

Glory to Allah Almighty who didn’t create anything without a purpose as He Almighty says:

"And in your creation and what He scattered (through the earth) of moving (living) creatures are signs for people who have Faith with certainty." #Quran 45:13

Atheists and disbelievers claim that these creatures were created by the power of nature!!!!! And it has no benefit but Allah Almighty say that He exploited all creatures for our benefit as He says :

"And has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; it is all as a favour and kindness from Him. Verily, in it are signs for a people who think deeply." #Quran 45:13

In 1948, Menachem Begin was in charge of the unit that slaughtered the inhabitants of Deir Yassin, including 100 men, women, and children. In 1953, Ariel Sharon led the slaughter of the inhabitants of Qibya, and in 1982 arranged for our allies to butcher around 2,000 in the refugee camps of Sabra and Shatilla.

I am Israel - carved in 1948 out of 78% of the land of Palestine, dispossessing its inhabitants and replacing them with Jews from Europe and other parts of the world. The Invitation To Haq (Truth)

At present there are numerous sects in the Ummah. The followers of every sect believe themselves to be on the true path and rejoice in their respective outlooks on Islam. As far as madhab and actions are concerned every sect is quite different from another, but in-spite of tremendous dissimilarities there are certain common values on which all sects are united. And it is towards these values that all sects can be invited and thus united. Allah, the Exalted has also invited people sharing common values towards this particular fundamental so that they may assemble and unite. Allah, the Almighty Says:

"Say: O People of the scripture! come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall ascribe no partners unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for lords beside Allah. And if they turn away then say: Bear witness, that we are Muslims."(Surah: Aal-e-Imran, Verse: 64)

The gist of the above invitation is that Allah alone is to be worshipped and no one else beside Him enjoys this right. It is a fact that sectarianism originated from abandoning the teachings of Allah and His prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) and following others instead. When the respect and love for a person exceeds the limits i.e. when his words and deeds are considered to be the truth, rather the criterion of judging truth, then this is equal to worship.

This particular form of worship has been prohibited by Allah in the afore mentioned verse. The meaning of the above verse is clear. When a person is given such a position of respect that his words are considered to be ultimate then this is like taking him as one to be worshipped, whereas it is Allah whose words are final and who is to be worshipped.

Religious demarcations and decisions are the job of Allah and none is allowed to intervene or make any change in the boundary of religion.

We invite all the sects of this Ummah towards this doctrine of faith. All of Allah's religious ordinances and instructions are complete and preserved in the Quran and Sunnah, which are common among nearly all sects.

Therefore we invite all sects to unite on these common values and act only on the Quran andSunnah; abandon all sectarian-distinguishing names and call ourselves Muslims only; end all sectarian religions and only consider Islam to be our religion. Letting sectarian religions flourish is like establishing many Islam's though the fact is that Islam is one and it can only be found in the Holy Quran and Ahaadeeth (traditions) of the prophet of Allah Our beloved prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said:

O People! for sure, I am leaving among you those (two things), if you hold them firmly you would never astray. Those (two) things are Allah's book and the tradition/way of His prophet.

When the Quran and Sunnah are necessary for following the straight path then we must hold these two fundamental sources of Islamic law (Shareeah) firmly.

Respecting a person to such a degree where his words are taken deemed to be conclusive and obligatory is the highest degree of exaggeration, which leads to nothing but worshipping him, which is of course Shirk.

This is how the Jews and Christians were acting, that is they were taking the words of their rabbis and monks as final without putting a check through the book of Allah. They involved their-selves in obeying the rabbis and monks to such a level that they started believing in prophet's as they were the sons of Allah. Whereas in the meantime they also used to say that Allah alone is the lord. This has been indicated in the following Ayat.

"The (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and monks to be their lords besides Allah and (they also took as their lord) Messiah, son of Mary." (Surah: Taubah, Verse: 31)

Today similar is the case with this Ummah's sects. They also verbally accept the fact that no one should be taken as lord besides Allah i.e. no one's opinion and conjecture should be given the grade of divine law; only Allah's commandments and His revealed way of life is obligatory but like the people of the book they act differently, leaving the entire doctrine value of Islam in a jeopardy. An evidence of this is the present day existence of sects. If they had accepted this fact practically and performed their deeds in the light of the Quran andSunnah and should not have inserted any person's opinion and interpretation into religion, then these sectarian divides would have never ever existed.

When one tries to diagnose the reason of the existence of these sects in Islam he immediately comes to a point that they have not submitted their-selves to the Quran and Sunnah though they accept that these are the two things which are the base of Islam. Otherwise one cannot find the reason as to what makes them to practice something which is against the Quran andSunnah. When people of such sects are invited towards the base of Islam (Quran andSunnah) they become redundant. They practically reject the divine commands in the presence of teachings of their religious scholars and heroes. This is exactly how the Jews and Christians were acting and now are acting. The question is whether such a person remains a Muslim or not ?

For sure the reply will be in negative. Therefore all those who accept that the Quran andSunnah is the base of Islam must accept it from the core of their hearts and should apply it in their practical performance irrespective of the cost. Salvation can only be achieved by following the Quran and Sunnah, as these are the only source of law and way of life revealed by Allah for a Muslim. And hence anything followed other than the Quran andSunnah leads to nothing but polytheism in which the Jews and Christians were involved and who were invited towards the common factors between them and the muslims i.e.:

1. Not to worship anyone besides Allah.

2. Not to commit any type of polytheism.

3. Not to take one another as lords besides Allah.

They commonly accepted these values verbally only while in reality they had made many pious people among themselves lords. The people of the book did not prostrate in front of their pious and religious personalities but they held their opinions and religious decisions to be a part of religion directly intervening in Allah's decision and thus they were termed as polytheists. As a result, their verbal acceptance of Tauheed (monotheism) was not considered enough and they were invited to accept this doctrine practically as well.

The verse from Surah Taubah, which was quoted on page 4, continues as follows:

"(The people of the book took their rabbis, monks and Messiah, son of Mary to be their lords besides Allah) while they were commanded to worship none but one Ilah (and) there is no Ilah but He." (Surah: Taubah, Verse: 31)

This part of the verse proves, that the people of the book worshipped/obeyed their religious heroes and since this is clearly Shirk i.e. polytheism Allah declared:

"Be He glorified from all that they accept as partner (unto Him)" (Surah: Taubah, Verse: 31)

Reviewing above one can see that people of book did not appear to be polytheists at all. They had accepted monotheism verbally and did not believe in placing any one beside Allah as lord, yet they were idolaters. Why? Because they acted against their madhab of oneness of Allah though they were preaching monotheism.

The verse under review further clarifies that polytheism is not only to have a belief (hidden or declared) against oneness but any act against monotheism irrespective of its acceptability (verbal) is also polytheism. And thus obeying any individual to the level of worshipping is as polytheism as believing in Eesa (Jesus) being son of Allah, because Allah has termed "worshipping individual or associating any one to Him as son (or else wise)" as polytheism.

Sole devotion to any one other than Allah is the root cause of disagreement and dissension which results in originating and establishing sectarianism with complete shelter; thus the truth is rejected straight away which is Kufr.

Allah, the Exalted says:

"And if Allah had so willed it, those who followed after them would not have fought one with another after the clear proofs had come to them. But they differed, some of them believing and some disbelieving." (Surah: Baqarah, Verse: 253)

It is Allah's law that people who reject the truth because of opposition and inequity will never bring faith in Him. This is a result of their Kufr (rejection) and it is a result ascertained by Allah. Isn't this the state of the existing sects? Isn't it that these people remain firm on their erroneous faith and deeds after getting clear proofs from the Quran and Sunnah which contradict their actions? Is it not that these people fashion the Quran and Sunnah in favour of their ancestral religions? Is it the quality of a believer to sacrifice the Quran and Sunnahfor his ancestral religion?

Dissension in the absence of clear proofs is an indecent quality but sticking to dissension after getting clear proofs against it (dissension) is an unpardonable offence, which is Kufr(infidelity).

Isn't worshipping other personalities irrespective of their status and inserting the words and opinions of ancestors in Allah's religion polytheism? Of course, it is, then what is going on all around us? Is this the Islam which has been bestowed by Allah? We seek Allah's refuge from such polytheism, ameen.

When one tries to take a look on the ancestral religions he immediately lands in a complicated position as to which of the sects is right and true! Certainly it is evident that all ancestral religions cannot be true. All the sects claim that they are right and are on the true path although there exist, tremendous differences of madhab, deeds, legalities and demarcations (Halal and Haram) among them. This situation demands that all sectarian religions and judgments of scholars and spiritual leaders must be judged in the light of the divine criterion i.e. Quran and Sunnah. Those found in accordance (proven) with this criterion should be considered acceptable otherwise rejected straight away. Here we invite our reader's attention to a situation which is totally against the above fundamental, that is existing ancestral religions have been made the criterion to judge the Quran and Sunnahwhich is the divine rule and guidance. This is done only in order to suit the commandments and actions of each sect and make them acceptable to their respective followers. Isn't it a crime and won't it lead to hell? Will Allah excuse this? Can Allah's religions remain intact in the presence of all these sects? Definitely not, hence this is the high time that we must put a check on our religious activities and ourselves. This is the only way to end disunity and come to a point to unite the Ummah as wanted by Allah in the following verse:

"Follow that which is sent down unto you from your lord, and follow no friends beside it. Little do you recollect!" (Surah: Aaraaf, Verse: 3)

It is quite clear form the above verse that only divine revelations are to be followed and those are nothing but the Quran and Hadeeth (Sunnah). And one will agree that the words of ancestors are not at all revealed by Allah. Hence, all such religions and sectarian paths must be avoided as demanded by Allah in the above-mentioned verse. Leaving aside the path designed and bestowed by Allah is nothing but dissension and Dissension is Allah's torment. Can one afford to enjoy Allah's torment? We seek Allah's refuge from His torment. Ameen.

Allah the Exalted says:

"Say: He is able to send punishment upon you from above you or form beneath your feet, or to bewilder you with dissension and make you taste the tyranny one of another. See how we display the revelations so that they may understand." (Surah: An'aam, Verse: 65)

It is very easy to understand from the above verse that sectarianism is Allah's torment and hence, one must seek Allah's refuge form sectarianism. May Allah have mercy on all of us and give us the right guidance to understand Islam (Ameen). Surprisingly a fabricated Hadith: "The disunity of my Ummah is a divine blessing" has been propagated by the leaders of such sects which is absolutely against the Quran and Sunnah-the divine law, which gives the lesson of unity in every respect and terms disunity as infidelity and Kufr.

It is clear that true Islam can only flourish after sectarianism is ended and as such one must escape from dissension and sectarianism and hold the Quran and Sunnah firmly.

Allah, the Exalted says:

"And if your lord had willed, He verily would have made mankind one nation. Yet they cease not differing. Save him on whom you Lord has bestowed His mercy, and for that He did create them. And the word of your lord shall be fulfilled: verily I shall fill hell with the jinn and mankind together." (Surah: Hud, Verse: 118-119)

It is clear form the above verse that:

i. Allah wishes to see everyone as one group but He does not force people to unite.

ii. People will always remain in disunity and dissention.

iii. Only such people will be saved form disunity on which Allah will bestow His mercy.

iv. Allah has created people to bestow his mercy on them but they do not make themselves worthy of it and pave the way towards hell.

v. Allah will fill hell with dissentients.

Thus dissension is not at all divine blessing, rather it is a torment not only in this world but in the hereafter as well. And that is why the prophet (pbuh) said:

Do not dispute because the people before you disputed and were ruined.
(Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

When the prophet of Allah (pubh)sent Hadrat Ma'az and Hadrat Abu-Musa towards Yemen he instructed them:

Remain united and do not dissent.
(Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

It is quite clear form the Quran and Sunnah that dissensions not Islam at all. Reviewing the above verses and traditions, if dissension is divine mercy (as per the fabricated Hadith) then where is unity to be placed? Is unity Allah's torment? Of course not. Then we must unite and strive hard to end sectarianism and save ourselves from dissension which is Allah's torment.

The prophet (pbuh) of Allah said, giving us the caution:

i. You would definitely tread the same path which was trodden by the people before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of a lizard you would follow them in this also.

The companions of the prophet (pbuh) asked:

Do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words)?

The prophet (pbuh) replied: Who else (than those two religious groups)?
(Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

ii. Beware the people of the book split up into seventy-two sects, and this community will be split up into seventy-three: seventy-two of them will go to hell and one of them will go to paradise, and it is al-Jamaah.
(Reported by Abu Daawood and is saheeh).

From both the traditions mentioned above it is clear that:

a) This Ummah would follow the Jews and Christians.

b) This Ummah will also divide into sects as a result of following Jews and Christians.

The people of the book divided into sects and the reason was nothing but disunity as has been mentioned in the following verses:

"And nor were the people of the scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them." (Surah: Al-Bayyinah, Verse: 4)

"And those who (formerly) received the scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves." (Surah: Aal-e-Imran, Verse: 19)

Similar appears to be the fate of this Ummah as they also are rejecting the truth on the basis of disunity and inequity like the people of the book. When questioned, all the sects claim to be on the path of Quran and Sunnah but without proof. And surprisingly when proofs fromQuran and Sunnah are presented to them against their dissension they refuse its acceptability as was the case of the people of the book.

Now all those people who believe that Allah's bestowed religion is complete and intact must at the first stage say no to all sects and get adhered to that Jamaat whose entry to the paradise has been guaranteed and that for sure is Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen. The title of this Jamaat is not a fabrication rather the command of our beloved prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam):

Stick to Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen and their Imam (leader).

Hadrat Hudhaifa, the narrator of this Hadith asked:

What if there is neither Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen nor their Imam (what should I do in such a condition)?

The prophet of Allah (pbuh) replied:

Keep your self away from all those sects.
(Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

It is quite clear from this tradition that adherence to any sect is prohibited even if Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen does not exist. We are only to adhere to one Jamaat and that is Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen. May Allah haver mercy on us, what are we doing when the clear order is there to keep away from all sects? Hence it is obvious that all the sects must be terminated and that is only possible when they are abandoned and all the muslims adhere to Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen only. This way there will be no dissension and consequently no sects as well. Now we see the assessment of sectarianism by Allah and His advice in the Holy Quran.

The position and status of sectarianism:

Allah, the Exalted says:

"And be not of those who ascribe partners (unto Him): of those who split up their religion and became schismatic, each sect exulting in its tenets." (Surah: Rome, Verse: 31-32)

It is obvious from this verse that the branches of sectarianism converge on polytheism and the reason for this is clear. When a clear proof from the Quran or Sunnah reaches a follower of sects, he does not accept it. He only considers his religion and Imam, scholar or ancestor's words and deeds to be the final authority and neglects the Quran and Sunnah. Isn't this a sign of disbelief? Isn't inserting one's (Imam or ancestor's) opinion into religion polytheism? Allah, the Exalted says:

"Lo! As for those who sunder their religion and became schismatics, you (O Prophet!) have no concern with them, their case will go to Allah. Who then will tell them what they used to do?"(Surah: An'aam, Verse: 159)

What an advice from Allah which certifies and authenticates the advice of Prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam):

Keep yourself away from all those sects.

(Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Allah has forbidden this Ummah from dividing into sects like the people of the book as under:

"And be not as those who separated and disputed after the clear proofs had come unto them. For such there is an awful doom." (Surah: Aal-e-Imran, Verse: 105)

"And hold fast, all of you together to the cable of Allah and do not separate" (Surah: Aal-e-Imran, Verse: 103)

This is Allah's clear command/order, which reflects the importance of unity in Islam.

One cannot find any lead to the proof of the existence of any sects during the days of prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) through any source i.e. Quran or Hadeeth. Because sects bearing different names as Ahl-e-Quran, Ahl-e-Hadeeth, Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, Hambli, Fatmi/Shia etc. came into existence much and much after the prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam). As a matter of fact there was only one Jamaat formed by the prophet (pbuh) in his time which was named Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen. The following Hadith which at one hand signifies the importance of the attendance of women in Eid Prayer on the other hand it shows the value of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen. The Prophet said:

(Even) menstruating women should participate in Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen and their prayers and should keep away form their Musalla (praying place).
(Reported by Al-Bukhari)

It is quite clear form the above Hadith that all the believers at the time of the prophet (pbuh) were members of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen and hence the only Jamaat required to adhere to isJamaat-ul-Muslimeen.

A humble request to all readers, please check, are you following the Imam who has been made a symbol by Allah to be followed and that is Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam), or else if not it is the high time to check your every action as regards to Islam - the deen of Allah!

Finally we request our readers to unite along with us on one nucleus; end all sects; and since a believer has been named a Muslim and has been commanded to associate with Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen, we invite you to come to Jamaat and check it's activity and involvement and then decide. Dear readers, Please! do not follow any religion but ISLAM which gives you the clear command to obey none but Allah and His prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam).

Rise and break all idols of religious, national, tribal, lingual, sectarian, provincial and prejudicial devotion. Devote your lives for Allah only and love others for Allah only.

Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen is neither a sect nor it has any connection to any of the sects. It offers pure deen (religion) "Islam" - the religion of Allah and His prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam). So come and join Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen and assist the cause of Islam.
