1. Open the email app.

2. Click on the physical Menu button on your phone to bring up the menu. Select “Add account“.

3. In the Email Service Provider screen, select Others.

4. Enter your Yahoo! Mail address and password. Check the “Send email from this account by default option” if you want to send email using this account by default. You can click Next and let the mail app to detect the settings. But in this guide, I’ll set it up using the manual method. So, click on “Manual setup” button.

5. In the Incoming server settings screen, fill in your username (full email address) and password. The POP3 server is pop.mail.yahoo.com and the port is 995. For security type, select SSL.

Depending on your preference, you can either keep the email in the web or delete it after you downloaded the email into your phone.

Never – Never delete email in Yahoo! server. (You can still access it from Yahoo! Mail web)
When I delete from Inbox – Delete the email in Yahoo! server when you deleted it in your Android phone.
When I retrieve from Server – Delete the email in Yahoo! server after the email is downloaded into your phone. You won’t be able to view the email in the web anymore!

6.  Next, enter the details of the SMTP server. This is the server that you’ll use for sending emails. The SMTP server is smtp.mail.yahoo.com, port is 465, security type is SSL and check the Require sign-in checkbox. Then enter your username (full email address) and password. Click Next.

7. Select the options that fit your preference and click Next.

8. Give the account a name (this name will show in your Inbox) and the name you want to use when sending email. Then click done.

9. Now you can read your Yahoo! Mail using your Android smartphone!

1. First, login into your Yahoo! Mail account.
2. Then click on Options and select Mail Options. In the Mail Options menu, click on POP & Forwarding. You’ll see that you need to upgrade to Yahoo! Plus to get the POP and forwarding option.

3. Click on your username, and select Account.

4. In the Account Info page, go to the Account Settings section and click on Set language, site, time zone.

5. Next, select a Regional Site and Language and Time Zone. Select Yahoo! Asia and change the time zone to China (just to be safe). Then click I Accept.

6. Once you finish, logout from your Yahoo! account and close all browser windows. Reopen your browser, and login into Yahoo! Mail.
7. Go back to the Mail Options page (refer to step 2) and click on POP & Forwarding. Now you’ll see that you have the POP & Forwarding option enabled! Remember to select “Allow your Yahoo! Mail to be POPed” and save the changes!
8. Voila! Now you can use POP3 with your Yahoo! Mail account! The settings for the POP3 are as below:-

Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com (Use SSL, port: 995)
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com (Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication)
Account Name/Username: <Your Yahoo! Mail address>
Email address: <Your Yahoo! Mail address>
Password: <Your Yahoo! Mail password>

Luckily, there is another option that you can use which is the Exchange account. To add it, follow the steps below:-

1. Open the App drawer and select Email.

2. If you have an existing email account, you see the screen below. If you don’t have an account, skip to step 4. Click on the Menu button on the phone to bring up the menu. Then select Account.

3. In the Account screen, click on the Menu button again and select Add Account.

4. You’ll see this screen if this is the first email account that you are adding. Select MS Exchange.

5. Fill in your Hotmail address and also the password. Then select Next. Check the “Send email from this account by default” if you want to send email using this email address.

6. In the next screen, fill in your Hotmail address in the domain\username field. Key in the password, and add the Hotmail server. The server is m.hotmail.com. Check the “Use Secure Connection (SSL)” option. Then select Next.

7. The system will try to connect to the email server. This will take a while.

8. Select the options that you want. The “Amount to synchronize” option is for you to select the amount of emails to synchronize. “Three days” option means it will only download the emails from last 3 days.

9. Give the new account a name, and you are done!

Some stuff that you need to take note of:
1. If you are not seeing any email, it is most likely because the emails are older than the period that you set in the “Amount to synchronize” option. (e.g. If the last email is 5 days ago and your option to synchronize is 3 days, you won’t see any email)
2. I’m using LG Optimus One (P500) and the screen might differ from yours.

The Nintendo 3DS will be launched on 27th March 2011 and priced at $249.99 (US). The 3DS will be available across Europe on 25th March 2011. The price will be determined by the retailer. But most retailers such as Amazon already set the price to €249.99.

The main selling point of the 3DS is of course the glasses-free 3D screen. The 3DS can also take 3D pictures using the built-in dual-camera. It will be available in 2 colors during launch, Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black.

1. Go to this page: http://www.youtube.com/my_account_unlink
2. If you are not logged in, you’ll prompt for YouTube username and password. Enter the verification code too. If you are logged into YouTube, you’ll only need to fill in the verification code.
   
3. Next, click on “Unlink My Accounts”.
4. And your account is unlinked!

Another way to unlink your account:

1. Login into you YouTube account.
2. On the top right corner of the YouTube page, click on your username. Then select Account.
   
3. In you account page, click on Manage Account located on the left side of the page.
   
4. Click on “Unlink YouTube and Google Accounts” to expand the section. Then, click on the “Unlink YouTube and Google Accounts” link. This will bring you to the page mentioned above.
   

Do note that this only works for account created before May 2009. Accounts that created after May 2009 are the accounts that created using Google account.  And also, YouTube will remind you to link your YouTube account with a Google account after you unlinked it. You can always relink to a Google account by accessing the following page:

Microsoft finally revealed the release date of Kinect, previously known as Project Natal. The Kinect will be available on 4th of November 2010. Currently there is no pricing for it, but it is rumored to be USD149. You can pre-order it now at Amazon or Play-Asia.

Back in March, Nintendo released a press release stating that they’ll unveil the successor of Nintendo DS in E3. And now it is officially revealed! Now we finally know the spec of the 3DS. First, the top screen will be larger and will be 3D-capable. The 3D effects can be viewed without wearing any special glasses. Good for portable 3D-gaming. But the touch screen is not a 3D screen. There is also a “Slide Pad”, which is similar to the analog stick for the PSP. The 3DS also have a 3D camera, which allow you to take 3D photo! The 3D-”ness” or depth can be controlled by a 3D Depth Slider. Currently no pricing and release date. But according to Nintendo, it should be released before the end of their fiscal year, which mean it should be released before 31 March 2011. I guess that the price should be less USD300, but this is not confirmed yet. Hope we’ll get more details by year end. Detailed spec after the jump.

Specification of the 3DS:

Size (when closed):   Approximately 5.3 inches wide, 2.9 inches long, 0.8 inches tall.
Weight:    Approximately 227 gram.
Top Screen:    3.53-inch widescreen LCD display, enabling 3D view without the need for special glasses; with 800×240 pixel resolution (400 pixels are allocated for each eye to enable 3D viewing).
Touch Screen:    3.02-inch LCD with 320×240 pixel resolution with a touch screen.
Cameras:    One inner camera and two outer cameras with 640×480 (0.3 Mega) pixel resolution.
Wireless Communication:  Can communicate in the 2.4 GHz band. Multiple Nintendo 3DS systems can connect via a local wireless connection to let users communicate or enjoy competitive game play. Systems also can connect to LAN access points to access the Internet and allow people to enjoy games with others. Will support IEEE 802.11 with enhanced security (WPA/WPA2). Nintendo 3DS hardware is designed so that even when not in
use, it can automatically exchange data with other Nintendo 3DS systems or receive data via the Internet while in sleep mode.
Game Controls:   Touch screen, embedded microphone, A/B/X/Y face buttons, + Control Pad, L/R buttons, Start and Select buttons, “Slide Pad” that allows 360-degree analog input, one inner camera, two outer cameras, motion sensor and a gyro sensor.
Other Input Controls:    3D Depth Slider to adjust level of 3D effect (can be scaled back or turned off completely depending on the preference of the user), Home button to call system function, Wireless switch to turn off wireless communications (even during game play), Power button. The telescoping stylus is approximately 4 inches when fully extended.
Input/Output:    A port that accepts both Nintendo 3DS game cards and game cards for the Nintendo DS™ family of systems, an SD memory card slot, an AC adapter connector, a charging cradle terminal and a stereo headphone output jack.
Sound:     Stereo speakers positioned to the left and right of the top screen.
Battery:    Lithium ion battery details TBA.
Parental Controls:    Parental controls similar to the Nintendo DSi system will be included.
