quite poor as opposed to that of Rizon.
So I have set up shop at Rizon in #koderz and am hosting my IRC bot Arenea 24/7
now.

You can join the channel via your browser by following this link.

It is a good idea to register with her as she will offer some cool little commands.
To register with her, send here a private message.
/msg Arenea user register <username> <password>
Where username can be any username, it doesn't have to be your nick.
Then if all goes well you want to identify to Arenea. You can do so like this.
/msg Arenea identify <username> <password>
Where username is the same as above.

Then, asuming you have registered your nick on Rizon you can add your hostmask
so Arenea will automatically recognize you.
/msg Arenea hostmask add

You can then use Arenea to send notes to other users, who are registered of course.
Also, if you have a last.fm account, you can share what songs you are listening to
with other members of the channel along with some other cool little commands.

That is all for now :)

<georss:box>49.947999100000004 8.3662697 50.2738451 8.9979836999999989</georss:box>

Arch ABS ncmpcpp patch

So this morning I decided I wanted to install ncmpcpp, a curses front end for mpd from the ABS but I wanted fftw support so I could use ncmpcpp's visualizer.

So here is a patch to do just that :)

Instructions on how to use this patch.

I advise creating a directory in which you want to build abs packages, mine is ~/abs

So to install ncmpcpp with this patch is simple.

Download the patch and save it as ncmpcpp_abs.diff just for simplicity sake.

Then follow these instructions changing anything necessary.

Here's a possible solution :)

So I had to re-install Arch Linux on one of my computers today and seeing as I like to be bleeding edge and try the most up to date kernels I tend to use the testing repository.

Now when updating to Linux 3.3.0-1 Arch I ran into a slight problem...
On reboot, my root partition wasn't being found. So I chucked in the Arch cd and decided to fix things.

Before reading any further, you should only follow the steps I provide below if you are 100% sure of what you are doing. I am not responsible for any damage you could cause by following the instructions below.

Now something you should take note of is your partition table. I shall list my setup here :)

/boot = /dev/sda1
swap   = /dev/sda2
/ = /dev/sda3
/home = /dev/sda4

Just replace those values with what ever is in your setup.

Well, I hope you guys find this helpful if you ever encounter the same problem.
Have a good one :)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ki113d.blogspot.com/2012/04/arch-not-booting-after-kernel-update.html' title='Arch not booting after a kernel update? is multithreaded to make things a little smoother. I have not tested all providers
a forum I am a member of.
It uses the wxPython GUI library and multiple threads to flood a port on
