World War Z (2013)

World War Z will release on 20th June (link), would like to thanks Nuffnang and ChurpChurp for the movie passes! This movie contain mild horror element, and the ending was "meh", just like After Earth movie. Wasn't really familiar about Brad Pitt acts in movie for me, I watch non of his movie (yea, which is include Ocean Eleven).

There is this fella name call Fassbach, he die because he tripped himself, fall on the floor and head-shot himself. Fassbach is also so called one of the important scientist who find the cure during the mission too, to be honest dying like that wasn't make sense at all.

Every movement of the zombies and outfit was fascinating, horror enough with the messy scene shot lol.

Isreal country got the "information" (from India) about zombie invasion and complete a very "high wall" within a short time period. Israel is safe actually, too bad pupils of Israel "celebrate" their safety and begin make a very loud noise. Loud noise could attract huge amount of zombies attention, what I couldn't believe is zombies can pile them up like "human ladder", so other zombies can climb up and find the noisy source.

Gerry Lane must be in very good luck, because he immediate found his destination: W.H.O. vaccine center right after the plane crash from Israel midway towards Wales.

The ending was "meh", because the "final" mission for Gerry Lane and other 2 people is to avoid 80 zombies and retrieve some virus samples. At the end Gerry inject a small amount of virus into his body, and walk-through all the zombie like a bawls! (the cure is zombie is looking for a healthy host and infect them, they don't want to bite a sick host) There is no special infected, such as stronger version of infected.

Recently I am watching some walk-through and game-play called "The Last of Us", only on PS3 platform for now. Was very adventurous, and this movie World War Z wasn't adventurous enough yet. The quality impact of this movie is quite good from beginning of the movie until right after W.H.O vaccine center.

My rating: 4.5/10
I believe there is no 3D effect at all, NON! (I wonder how many times that GSC going to let people critic about their 3D glasses and poor 3D movie effect, not only GSC, I think other cinema which is in Malaysia too.)

After Earth (2013)

After Earth is a movie about Cypher spaceship got crash and land on Earth, the Earth got full of danger species, even Cypher and Kitai got zero knowledge about it.

To be frank, when I haven't watch this movie yet and I finish watching movie trailer only. I thought Cypher and Kitai would be the last 2 human species that survive from other earth, and then they discover earth, then they begin the new mission. LOL funny right?

To be real, Cypher spaceship got caught crash during the flight towards the other planet and progress some training. Then the spaceship crashed into half, Kitai is force to look for the communication device which is located at the other half of the spaceship, which is land at quite far away.

[Spoiler] The movie got good ending, Kitai manage to survive from Ursa (monster that bought to training with them which is extremely dangerous). Kitai manage to survive because he suddenly become very strong (probably become Super Saiyan or Incredible Hulk?), and his dad Cypher is extremely proud of him.

This movie is friendly towards general audience such as family and kids, but there is minor horror part or shocking part too, which might shake the chair during the horror moment. Aliens wasn't that awesome, the 3 cute little piggy is much more eye catchy than little condor and big condor.

I think at the end the movie is "meh . . .", if you get what I mean . . . Even watching Running Man Ep 149 is much more better watching this movie.

Stay Strong, Stay Cool, Sir!

Was in the mists about thinking to organize a fund (when I was driving), but at the end it is useless because organize a fund is all about helping myself only.

Second thought about organize a self defense classes (when I reach my destination real soon), this self defense classes can help many people, at the same time it help myself too.

Why am I thinking so much? It is around after movie screening actually, it makes me think about my future twice. Fear is fear something about future which is not even exist, yet I already fear what is going on about my future.

I am going to do my best live life to the fullest and not going to let myself down.

Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

Fast & Furious 6 movie talk about how Dominic Toretto work with Hobbs to capture former Special Unit Ops soldier Owen Shaw. While capturing Owen Shaw, at the same time Hobbs discover that Letty is still alive and decide to contact Toretto, that is why Toretto willing to join Hobbs for this mission for exchanging freedom of Letty and other people who carrying the "crime" title (which is being wanted almost whole world).

If you watch the whole Fast & Furious movie series, you might confuse if you didn't watch all of it. Especially the timeline mess in between Fast & Furious 2 and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, actually Tokyo Drift majority talk about a teenage guy name Sean Boswell (by Lucas Black) move to Tokyo with his dad from United State to avoid getting jailed, and he himself become one of the major competitor in the drift racing.

Major spoiler which is linked towards movie called The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (post credit scene): After Owen Shaw "died" and got "defeated" by the crew of Toretto, and Han lost his love (Gisele) during the process of defeating Owen Shaw, Han decide move to Tokyo (the place that he & Gisele wish to stay). He meet Sean Boswell and decide to teach him about drift racing, then Han car got crash by another car (which is obviously crashed on purpose), a guy walked down from the car and throw the necklace on the floor (which is owned by Letty and she pass it to Own Shaw during middle of the movie), dial cellphone to Dominic Toretto and say something threatening. Ian Shaw (brother of Owen Shaw) by Jason Statham, which is surprise the whole movie crowd and everyone was very exciting about it.

Overall I think this movie is quite cool, at the same time I felt weird as well because the storyline is getting "off". Fast Five was about robbing a big drug dealer in Mexico, and Fast & Furious 6 is more about towards military warfare issue.

My rating: 7/10
Not the best movie of this year, this movie consider not bad at all and worth watching it, it is also unpredictable about: there is a spy inside Team Toretto. Warning, never ever drive fast car right after watching this movie, because it is super effective. (which means it makes you drive very fast and furious during on the way you driving home, drive safe and steady buddy!)

The best thing about this movie is Jason Statham, it reminds me about Hummingbird movie that release last few weeks ago (because Joey Jones got military background) . . . LOL!

Dim Sum @ 聚一堂 JYT Restaurant, Taipan USJ 10, Subang Jaya

JYT Restaurant is located at Taipan USJ 10, Subang Jaya (opposite Starbucks Coffee), open around last year April. Just have it yesterday tea time (around 4pm+), less people on that timing and each of the Dim Sum need to heat up and cook again, and basically the food I having there is fresh served.

Not so sure the pricing is standard or not, somehow I felt that the pricing is unusual costy than what I had in other restaurant. Or it may be the shop rental in Taipan USJ 10 is unusual expensive, that's why!

糯米鸡 Glutinous Rice with Chicken, RM 4.50

The taste was good, but I've taste better Loh Mai Kai which is near my workplace (Klang). Portion is smaller and I believe you can get 2 Loh Mai Kai with RM 4.50 (which is normal Loh Mai Kai alright).

沙律虾角 Deep Fried Shrimp Dumplings, RM 4.50

Average taste with Mayonnaise sauce, crunchy, and it really meet your requirement (意思是说：满足你的口味).

虾饺 Har Gaw (Shrimp Dumplings), RM 4.50

One of the "almost perfect" dim sum that I had eaten these few months (I think), which is the skin doesn't broke it off easily. It is very nice to bite this Har Gaw, but it doesn't have any shrimp taste at all, it is like biting a tasteless meet inside your mouth.

潮州粉 Teawchew Style Dumplings, RM 4.50

Typical Teawchew Dumplings cost RM 4.50, and it doesn't worth it at all. Probably I am not peanut fans into dim sum, and the "pouch" is easily broken which makes my plate into chaos lol.

百花烧卖 Mixed Siu Mai, RM 4.50

Not sure why they call this mixed siu mai, all I can taste is normal siu mai.

蒸鱼卖 Steamed Fish Balls, RM 5.00

Standard taste of fish ball with standard size, not bad.

鸡窝包 Chicken Bun, RM 5.00

Chicken Bun comes with wrapped up with the bun, it can easily pull out the bun like a long string, there is also plenty of chicken meat and mushroom inside only.

Somehow I think that I feel weird about this version of chicken bun is standard type of chicken bun, and I think there is better version of chicken bun which is over here!

Total bill it cost me around RM 67.20 for 2 person only (me and my younger bro, both of us is big eater), it was a "good" meal, wasn't plan to going back to this restaurant again for dim sum unless someone "cheng" (treat) me, lulz.

I can still remember that there is typical trend in Klang last few years ago, which is tons of "expensive or highclass" restaurant dim sum open at the same time, same row of shop-lots. And now I think the trend was going well anymore because the current food trend is replaced by special burger.

Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)

So . . . did you join Kirk and Spock at Star Trek (2009), if you haven't, do watch it because it relate how Kirk and Spock meet and how Kirk join the enterprise. Star Trek Into Darkness is about Kirk try to hunt down this man called Khan, because he create a chaos at enterprise headquarter and Christopher Pike is dead on the spot, then Kirk tracked his location (vie Khan destroyed ship) then decide to capture him.

This star trek movie got such a huge improvement if compare with first star trek movie on year 2009 (actually I think it is almost the same rating, but this time is much more better), such as awesome visual and sound effect, I would recommend you guys watch it in IMAX or IMAX 3D.

[Spoiler] If you watch the trailer, capturing Khan is a difficult mission but at the end Khan himself surrender himself towards Kirk because Kirk treat him and say that he is going to fire many torpedo towards his location. Have you wondered why? It is time to purchase this movie ticket and watch it! General release date for this movie is 16th of May, and practically you can purchase movie ticket via TGV/GSC now (tomorrow night).

[Mega Spoiler from houhousek] Spock himself decide to enter cheat code and look for the solution to defeat Khan when Khan decide to turn over and treat him and Kirk. Spock is seeking help from . . . ?

There is more than 3 cut scene in this movie, nothing important actually . . .

My rating: 8.5/10

I hope this short post doesn't bore you, and I cannot post too much spoiler in here else you guys will not going to watch it lulz! It is a good movie, worth to watch it and I might gonna catch it for second time! Probably in IMAX!

Hummingbird (2013)

Whenever I watch movie, I am very sure I need to read subtitle at the same time, why am I very sure? Because Hummingbird prove it to me, I didn't fully understand what are they saying and people who have a good ears might also cannot understand what is their full conversation. To understand what are they trying to produce the message, it is very depends on situation then only you can understand what is their next move.

Actually . . . it is not that hard, I mean that I over-emphasize that I really need subtitle to understand what are they talking about. This movie is quite simple and consider one of the "good" movie for this month (some part is slightly boring and I need to re-think, then only I found out that it is interesting), it is surprisingly to see that Jason Statham is the main cast for this movie.

Many of you think that Joey Jones (by Jason Statham) is kind of badass in this movie, he is truly bad if we never understand all about this movie. Base on the story line, Joey Jones is from one of the military force at Afgan area. After that I am not sure how he is trap into a very beginning of London's criminal underworld, coincidence he found himself a "shelter" that the real owner will be back few months later, he also decide to work for Chinese mafia.

After that he found out that Isabelle is dead, and he decide to avenge for her.

My rating: 6/10
Majority of people thinks that this movie is bored, but imagine that you are Joey, and you are being discover that you are not the real owner of the "shelter", it is kind of awkward to watching it as well! Not only that! The Cantonese dialect in London is laughable!

Identity Thief (2013)

Movie title Identity Thief obviously stated the meaning of it, which means the guy identity got stolen by women on the right (in this poster). You might get attracted to watch this movie due to the movie trailer, but actually this movie was very boring. I am kind of impatient when I watch first 20 minutes due to I didn't sleep early last night, afterward the movie went quite smooth for me, and I did laugh at some certain part of this movie.

Not to say the best of the best, the joke they are telling inside this movie, they will kept on repeating it for more than 3 times. The jokes about Sandy balls or dxck got burn in accident can repeat it for more than 2 times, the jokes about between Sandy and officer can repeat twice and it is not even more than 5 minutes.

The bad-ass in this movie was kind of crappy too, there is total of 3 person (2 person is together and hire a skiptracer) suppose work together and capture Diana. At last, they "killing" each other because 2 of them decide to get rid of skiptracer (because he failed his mission) and skiptracer decide to fight back.

Iron Man 3 (2013)

Hello, first of all I would like to thanks Nuffnang for the movie ticket and the merchandise (for more info, please go to my contest post for Iron Man 3 movie screening), I was "kind of" enjoy watching this movie and I was impress the way of Iron Man and Jarvis fighting the villains. Was kind of piss about the character name called Mandarin & Aldrich Killian, their characteristic is totally different from the original characteristic (such as power and origins). You gotta brace yourself, because I gonna post out many spoiler in this post, stay tune!

I convince myself that this Mandarin is in movie version of Mandarin, end up the real Mandarin is Aldrich Killian. This old dude here is just a actor, there is nothing about 10 rings in his hand and there is also nothing about 10 different finger blast / beam. Mandarin from comic is all the way from China and using Chinese army, but this movie fake Mandarin provide false information about using Pakistan army and provoke president of united state.

This is the "Mandarin" in this movie, he possess the power of "flame of touch" by inject Extremis serum in his body. The most laughable moment is he breath fire when fight with James Rhodes, James and Aldrich assistant Savin was in the state of shock when Aldrich throw fire breath. He also create bunch of super soldiers by injecting Extremis serum in their body, Extremis is a unstable serum that many human can't even control it, it may overrun whole body and explode if the person cannot control it.

One of the touching moment in this movie is about the appearance bunch of Iron Man suit, command by Tony Stark communicate with Jarvis.

Tony Stark summon them is to use them to fight bunch of the Extremis super soldiers under command of Aldrich Killian. While Tony Stuck + Iron Man suit army VS Aldrich Killian aka Mandarin + Extremis Super Soldiers, you can see many suit being torn apart and being destroyed by enemy. One of the best scene in this movie is Tony Stark command Jarvis to destroy all the suit while hugging Pepper Potts, fireworks is everywhere and they are celebrating Christmas in their time, is also show that how much Tony Stark express his love towards Pepper Potts.

Where did all these suit come from? Actually these suit is created by Tony Stark, he himself seldom sleep and I think that he didn't even realize himself creating this many suit and store it in his very special storage in his mansion.

My rating: 6/10

Most of the good points goes to Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark aka Iron Man, the flying gloves / boots, merge of suit fragments was very impressive. Autopilot suit is one of the fresh method seen in this Iron Man movie series.

Before the screening, I am very excited for the movie and expect something more greater from the villains. I seriously telling myself that "I am going to watch 2nd time if the movie is very good.", at the end, there is no 2nd time for me to watch this movie, because the villains side is so disappointing. Please DO click the original character comic link to find out how awesome is Mandarin super power, 10 rings in 10 different finger was dam cool ok!
If you are huge fans of Iron Man, you might complain this movie from "in" towards "out". For those who didn't even read the comic, you might think that this movie is one of the best movie in this year.

Malaysia's Largest LOTUS Convoy Gathering‏

Yellow! I am so glad that I got invited to this Lotus Convoy Gathering on Sunday morning, thanks to Nusantara Edaran Filem, Lotus Car Malaysia & Nuffnang Malaysia, got the chance that sit in one of the Lotus Evora from the Showroom to Pavilion and back to the Showroom again. The Lotus showroom is right opposite of IKEA, across the LDP highway, convoy start from the showroom to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. One of the major purpose of Lotus Convoy Gathering is because about this Chrome-clad Lotus Evora driven in the movie called The Host.

Morning around 8am, briefing about the Convoy Gathering with NEF staffs, everyone is getting ready by changing The Host red color t-shirt.

While waiting the Convoy begin, I went to snap car photos that placed around showroom.

On the way from Lotus Car Malaysia showroom towards Pavilion, the road was "damn" clear because there was traffic police clear the road.

As soon as we reach Pavilion, we need to wait others Lotus cars (Elise/Exige) slowly driving in and park at the main entrance area of Pavilion.

All the Lotus Evora park at the same spot, people who walk pass Pavilion couldn't stop themselves and snap photo.

Chrome-clad Lotus Evora was driven by Natasha Seatter, it was the lead of the convoy. Natasha Seatter also best known as fastest and youngest female driver in Asia region. On the right hand side inside the photo was her mum.

After that there is a screening of The Host around 11am plus, here goes my movie review.

It was a great fun experience sit in one of the Lotus Evora, the height of the car was very low indeed. Luckily I always sit in Proton Wira, consider super low type of car, or else I will feel like I was sitting on the floor lol. When we (me and Benjamin with another 2 drivers) on our way back to the Lotus Cars Malaysia showroom, we get to experience the extreme speed of Lotus car and we consider lucky because the traffic on that day wasn't congested at all.

If I am too rich, the first sport-car I would buy is Lotus Evora, with striking light orange paint. Hahaha "if" lah! Why? Stable and nice handling!

毒战, Drug War (2013)

Drug War movie is about a guy name called "Chai", breathed in too much drug then drive, end up he and his car crash towards a shop. The other side at toll, group of people smuggle drug from state to state and face off with polices. While investigate drug smuggling issue at the toll, one of the police found out that there is 2 vehicle, suspect that they are drug dealer and it is related towards "Chai".

This time Louis Koo (古天乐) is portray as drug dealer and he got captured by police due to he got a accident because suck in too much drugs when the drug factory exploded. His acting is kind of bad ass in this movie, he immediate become coward when face polices and beg for chances to help the polices to complete their task, at the same time he didn't provide full information to polices, end up some of the polices died and injured while exchange fire with people who process drugs at drug factory.

The story of polices and incident is in China and "Chai" is from Hong Kong, [spoiler] this time the polices face one of the most difficulty task. I can say that some of this movie scene is quite impressive and many of the scene such as ending is unpredictable too.

Sun Hong Lei (孙红雷) as Captain Zhang, captain of police squad who is investigating the case of drug dealers. He need portray himself as one of the drug dealers, he also force to consume the drug to gain trust from the drug dealers.

Guo Tao (郭涛) and Li Jing (李菁), both of the portray as deaf person and work in drug factory. The most unpredictable part of this movie is about both of them, who is very skillful with gun combats and they wearing bullet proof vest all the time no matter where they go, they combating with police like a boss!

I'm not sure for you guys that this movie is worth to watch or not, I think this movie consider not bad to watch because of Louis Koo bad ass character with another 2 deaf person.

忠烈杨家将, Saving General Yang (2013)

Watched this movie last Sunday with friend of mine at TGV Sunway Pyramid, I got a slight disappointing for this movie. Because of many awesome casts joined this movie, at the end there is only men who survive in the mission (mission about 7 sons gather together and rescue their dad, who trap at certain place after losing a war).

Yang Ye (杨业, click the link to also understand the true history about the truth history & incident), the Military General of Song Dynasty, Ancient China, defend invasion against Khitan people (originally from Mongolia). In this movie, Pan (潘仁美) promoted to become main general and Yang Ye become herald on the battle field, Pan sons actually died in the accident while dueling with Yang 6th son, then Pan decide to play some trap & tricks towards Yang Ye while Yang Ye striking the enemy very hard with full efforts.

The best thing about this movie is actually I forgotten that Vic Zhou participate in this movie, and I totally didn't recognize him at all. His role is "Legolas" in this movie, and his duel towards Khitan assassin was awesome.

You can see that there is "All Star Casts" while they touring around the world to promote this movie, one of my friend told me that Ekin Cheng was in KL for this movie promo tour!

I am not sure if Catapult should exist in this movie or not because my friend say that last time ancient China only know how to use Ballista. The effect of graphic such as wondrous background with lots of cloud is too fake and doesn't match their real life scenery. There is too much "tomatoes" sauce spreading around the cinema screen and around the faces, definitely is not a movie for children because Malaysia censorship is useless no matter how they slash off the movie scene, and yet I still can see there is some silly parent brought their 2 little kids and watch this movie.

My rating: 5/10

Not bad, watch it if there is no other choices of movie to let you choose. Not as crappy as Oblivion & The Host lol!

Iron Man 3: My Way

Hello, I would like to tell you guys that this post is just a contest post presented by Nuffnang and Walt Disney Studio Motion Studios. If you wish to take part and know more about information, please click the link yo!

I was at TGV Sunway Pyramid yesterday evening for movie called Saving General Yang, then I saw this group of Iron Man toys present right between at Citibank counter & popcorn counter.

To win a movie ticket to watch Iron Man 3 with other Nuffnanger, I am require to create my customize suit and tell the whole world!

To create a customize suit, I am going to name my suit "UltraBuster". Why "UltraBuster"?

Because the suit I created got finisher move in "siege mode", there is 2 mode in this suit actually.

Current image at above show that this suit is in 1st mode (it's in cool-down mode, haven't being taunt and warm up yet), which is in light armor mode allow this suit move faster than 2nd mode: siege mode. Able to scout freely by flying at the sky and travel under the sea. Able to detect danger of environment and able to prevent damage from surprise attack!

What inspire me to create this suit? Talk about Iron Man suit, my friend have been saying that there is still more suit in Iron Man comic story. Some people on the internet even listing some of the Iron Man suits appear inside the Iron Man 3 trailer (link)!

I more fancy towards Hulkbuster pattern, then I try to blend in my idea and Gundam Heavyarms in this suit. Gundam Heavyarms is my childhood favorite when I saw it in some toy shop, that time I don't have any cash to buy it and now I don't think that I will buy it either.

"UltraBuster" 2nd mode: siege mode, which is heavy and slightly reduce movement speed.

Basically the suit I created is environment friendly, because I invent "Arc Vacumn Tech" (the vacumn suck AIR ONLY to create air bullet and also prevent jam inside the vacumn function) right below both of the leg. So the weapon in this suit will only fire air bullet and damage the enemy. This may be crazy but "UltraBuster" suit is the fastest suit even thou in siege mode, the "Arc Vacumn Tech" will boost the movement speed of this suit by cycling the air in and out and also allow this suit to move almost with the speed of light, but it can only use once and recharge for around 5 minutes (only 2nd mode: siege mode have this ability).

Do you see there is 4 sticks behind this suit? Those are canon for long range usage, which is allow this suit fire a long range air bullet to the target, it also can fire 4 air bullet at the same time! For air bullet supply, it will constant depends on the "Arc Vacumn Tech". I did mention about "UltraBuster" got finisher move right? The finisher move is gather much air as possible in short period time and fire everything towards the enemy, it is simple as that! It will be so wrong I yell "Kamehameha" while using finisher move with this suit, LOL! That is why I name this suit called "UltraBuster", the amount of air bullet use for finisher move is TOO MUCH!

THIS is the first time I heard about Alcohol Cake in my life! I would like to thanks Eddie from Cake Tella, giving me opportunity to taste the HOMEMADE cake. My first impression for this cake, it is "heavy" because I hold it with my left hand only. Heavy can be many kinds of meaning actually, such as prepare to doze me off? Or prepare to drunk me with this alcohol cake ASAP! LOL! Not only heavy, this cake looks like it can really suit into any kinds of occasion such as valentines, birthday, anniversary & etc. This cake not suitable to our Islam friend (non-halal wut!) and people who allergy towards alcohol, too bad.

Oblivion (2013)

First of all, I would like to thanks Nuffnang for the movie passes! Also consider myself very lucky to get a very fine seat inside the cinema too! Oblivion movie will be out at whole Malaysia cinema on the date of 11th April, 2013. For me, "Oblivion" this word reminds me of flaming skull, as known as "Pugna" in Dota game, was kind of strange because I think that this movie title definitely doesn't suit by calling it "Oblivion". Never mind about movie title, seeing Tom Cruise suit up in this kind of style, it also makes me think that he might play some awesome character role and many action scene would occur. At the end, right after finish the whole movie of "Oblivion", it is kind of "Urghh"(my expression) or funny.

Inside this movie, Jack Harper driving this high tech ship like a bawls!
When you watch "Oblivion" trailer to understand about the movie, it turn out that this movie is much more complicated when you finish the whole movie. I think it involve some minor element towards "Twilight" or "The Host" (IF THE MOVIE DOESN'T END THAT WAY & CONTINUE!), it is too weird to think about it because there is so many clone of Jack & Victoria, then Julia (Jack's wife) is the only original who need to face many of the fake Jack.

This movie is also trying to emphasize more about wonderful scenery, the scenery detail was very satisfying. Flying top to toe with the high tech ship, places landscape design was kinda shocking as well!

Oblivion list of casts: link
Drone repair seems to be pretty simple, especially sticking a chewing gum at the damaged part, everything turns miracle and fixed! Excellent use of high technology items inside the movie, no matter how awesome about their technology, they still using the method 1 person repair / extract information, and another person stay at the "tower" and giving out instruction (Victoria task was plain simple). At the end, Jack & Victoria was the victim in this movie because [spoiler] they got captured at very first place, and get cloned by the "aliens". Until now, I got no idea where the heck is their "main body" gone.

My rating: 4.5/10

Many people would say that they going to watch this movie, it is because of Tom Cruise, couldn't agree more because he is really awesome, beginning of the movie is mostly individual scene of him.

Happy Sunday everyone! Today morning I attended Malaysia's Largest Lotus Convoy Gathering (all the way from Lotus Sg. Penchala towards Pavilion Kuala Lumpur) + The Host screening at Pavilion, thanks to Nuffnang & Nusantara Edaran Filem for giving this opportunity, I really got all the fun & experiences today. I would love to share with you guys about my experiences soon as possible in next post, and obviously I am going to talk about The Host movie in this post.

Sources: Planet earth invaded by alien, called "Souls". Take over control human body and live on the earth. "Souls" controlled 12 planet in the universe (base on Wanda story), my guess is they took control human body (or living creatures) in order to survive, if they didn't "implant" themselves into human body, they will kept inside a special steel container. Once their body got controlled by "Souls", both of the eyes will glow "shiny" in silver or white colour surround the black eyeballs.

In this movie, you can see few Chrome-clad Lotus Evora driven by "Seeker". To be frank here, there is no special tricks played by the car, there is 1 scene that Evora smashed into the back of lorry, kinda heart ache when seeing Evora got smashed in that way.

Total time of this movie is around 2hours++, I felt that this movie is kind of fast forward. Because starting of this movie already talk about (incoming spoiler) : Melanie got captured, then "Healer" heal the wounds of Melanie and implant Wanda "Wanderer" into her brain (to take control of her). After that, "Seeker" start to investigate Melanie background and also trace other survivor whereabouts, I suspect that "Wanderer" first time feel the love from human between Melanie & Jared, then Wanda personality is more "weak" compare with their own same kind of alien. Melanie command Wanda, beg her to run away from the "prison" and go all the way towards survivor hideout. I think I shall stop typing spoiler over here, else this blog-post will be long like hell lol!

Emily Browning appear at last part of this movie, was very disappointing about it because her looks is very odd! Almost all the kissing scene got cut from the movie, and it is very funny to watch this movie (because it involve towards 4 person complicated love, because Wanda & Melanie counted as 2 person lol). It is also funny that their Aliens live more than 10,000 years with high intelligent, they only import their intelligent / knowledge but didn't really fully utilize it and use to build a better place.

Good News to all Ip Man movie series fan, but probably not a very good news for Donnie Yen fans LOL! This movie was out at whole Malaysia cinema around 28th of March, 2013. Out of many Ip Man movie series that Tony listed out in his post, I only watch this movie (probably I was super busy or didn't trust any Chinese movie last time). This movie is totally out of my expectation, because the story-line seems to be very different than I imagined. Last time I use to watch TV drama about Bruce Lee life story, then Yip Man character was very very old man with a white haired and long beard (probably because Anthony Wong looks, hmmm yeah!).

Eric Tsang & Anthony Wong sparring scene in this movie, was very exciting when watch them fight with fist to fist. Because I know Eric Tsang as famous host for comedy show known as "Movie Buff Championship" (超级无敌掌门人), and the comedy show got a super long season of it, I also can't believe with my own eyes that Eric Tsang can be very strong in this sparring scene.

Not sure if I should recommend this movie or not, because it seems that there is tons of young actor & actress in this movie, probably Anthony Wong and Eric Tsang (include Xiong Xin Xin and Ken Lo) is the most experienced actor in bunch of them. This movie also majority talk about life of Yip Man when he travel to Hong Kong, trying his luck to survive in there with teaching "Wing Chun" to his students which is recruit in there.

My rating: 6.5/10

Zhou Chu Chu is the bomb in this movie, one of the main reason to watch this movie.

After watching this movie, I think one of the main reason why [spoiler] Cobra fail the evil plan is because they didn't "Jio" Destro for this evil plan. Just kidding by the way, to be frank here, I didn't watch first part of G.I. Joe movie, and I didn't read any comic about G.I. Joe before, therefore I can't really give a full judge about this movie, what I can do is giving a simple opinion & mass spoiler (LOL) about this movie.

I would like to thanks Nuffnang for giving me this opportunity to watch this movie, seeing all the Joe's died on battlefield makes me depress about it. And I also can't accept the fact about Snake Eyes being capture and held prison because the news from president of state claim that Snake Eyes murder Pakistan president (in story movie). But at the end, this movie got a happy ending, not sure they are too awesome or what, because Firefly (Ray Stevenson) seems to be no match for Roadblock (Dwayne Johnson).

G.I. Joe: Retaliation list of casts: link

Compilation with spoiler: Cobra Commander got rescue by Storm Shadow, abandon Destro and escape prison with Firefly (3 of them). Zartan disguise himself as President of United States, send G.I. Joe on fake mission and wipe them out at middle of the night. Survival Roadblock, Flint and Lady Jaye find themselves way back home/shelter, after that they investigate what is happening to their own country president, then they begin to find forces for starting their plan.

At the end Cobra Commander didn't really get his ass kicked, because he ran away by helicopter. Zartan go killed by Storm Shadow because he finally understand who killed/betray his own master. Then Firefly got GG-ed by Roadblock, defeated by his own weapon (firefly bomb I think).

My Rating: 6/10

Battle scene was awful for me, camera spinning around and round, it makes me going to faint inside the cinema. I think storyline was cool, as in I didn't read any G.I Joe story before. Malaysia censored the word "mother-fuc***", 2 scene of vulgar word got removed. Wasn't exciting in this whole movie, unless Snake Eye and Roadblock kicking their enemy ass. Do not watch in 3D, because there is nothing extraordinary about it.

Warm Bodies (2013)

Watched this movie with friend last weekend, I am the person who encourage my friend to watch this movie because I feel like watching it, by influence from good comment from other friend of mine who watched this movie in premier screening. At very beginning of this movie, somehow I feel awkward to watch it and I am not sure why I feel awkward! This movie is kind of cute too! Because first time seeing that there is this zombie which is not mindless at all, this main character zombie name "R" meet a very cute human girl - Julie while finding some "food" with some others zombie, then R decide to "kidnap" Julie and keep her safe.

What I mean "not mindless" is R kept on thinking what he should do and trying his best to communicate with the person that he fall in love with. I think that there is no 18SX scene and non of the scene got cut, which means there is kissing scene (one and only kissing scene, or probably 2) in this movie. I found out that it is slightly lame (if you use a very scientific way to watch this movie) about cure for zombie turning back into human, this is the story set-up for this movie and I am not very disappoint about it anyways.

My Rating: 7.5/10

Hello ladies and gentlemen, you guys must be wonder what is this all about right? Why there is a credit card with Burger design? Actually this is a contest titled as "Feeling Creative? Your Design and Brand Name Might Be The Next Youth Credit Card!", so I decide try it!

Basically I got no idea what to do with this contest design, then I stumble upon my blog icon and decide to use Burger as the concept of this credit card design. Brace yourself readers, because I name this credit card as "Burgers Swag!". I believe food trend nowadays is delicious & unique burger, if use this card and swipe your bill, you might get some discount and get some freebies when you dine-in to the fast food restaurant or particular burger restaurant. And also it fit for youth now a days which is bunch of busy people, rushing & no patience to wait for snail speed of food production. But it turn out to be swag by using this card, people will be wondering what kind of card that the card holder use. LOL!

The Call (2013)

Many people may think that this movie is kinda boring by judging from the cover (I mean just looking at the movie poster), until you watch the trailer of this movie, it makes me feel like wanna catch up this movie soon as possible. The Call is a movie about a lady who work in 911 emergency call center, you will see there is many people receiving different types of call every minute, every hour & every day, such as kidnap, burglary, suicidal & etc.

I would like to thanks Tony for the passes to watch this movie, all I can say about this movie is interesting & you will watch many intense conversation that Jordan instruct Casey how to give warning to the public civilian that she go kidnapped.

There is some part of the movie scene is touched, slightly disappointing with the horror effect about Casey "saw" something that she is not suppose to see, the stress expression when Jordan fail to communicate with the first victim. I dislike to watch the scene that Casey got cut on the forehead by the murderer, which is slow cut until the end at few cm away from starting cut point, which prove that it is not suitable for kids to watch this because involve violent matter. The last thing I would like to point out is: it is no harm by watching this on big screen.

新兵正传 II, Ah Boys to Men 2 (2013)

To be very honest, I watch "Ah Boys to Men" via online streaming on beginning of last month, and I didn't realize part 1 of the movie came out around November 2012, it is one of my biggest mistake that miss the part 1 of this movie on Cinema screen. Never mind about it anyways! "Ah Boys to Men 2" is hereby to bring you towards the story climax, and I bet that many people will slightly tears OR got the feel to tears inside this movie.

"Ah Boys to Men" & "Ah Boys to Men 2", story base on theme of the definitive path for all young men in Singapore's National Service (NS), no real war-zone / war-fight involved in this movie. With the directing style of Jack Neo, this movie infuse pure fun & pure comedy element which is makes me burst out laughter.

"Ah Boys to Men" mostly talk about the fear of entering National Service, Ken was disturbed when enter NS because his girl friend is heading oversea real soon. Ken uncle always brainwash Ken and teach him how to get medical certificate from medical officer. "Ah Boys to Men 2" is about Ken decide to change himself to positive side, due to his dad showed him how important is him inside his dad heart and his dad always wanted Ken to become one of the good soldier and don't learn all the bad stuffs from his uncle. While Ken inside the training for NS, other members that same dorm with Ken was kinda dramatic and many issue happen! "Ah Boys to Men 2" story was wonderful, as long as you watch "Ah Boys to Men", then you will fully understand the story when you watch "Ah Boys to Men 2".

My rating: 7.5/10

Chinese New Year end very fast, at the same time I felt glad that I really get lots of rest on first few days of CNY. What I did is I didn't go to cyber cafe and drown myself for more than 10hours, I stayed at home and went to visit my friend (once). The last day of CNY (元宵节), I decide to join dinner with my parent & relative because I got the chance to meet up with all of them one shot!

Vegetarian Yee Sang, similar taste with other nomal Yee Sang which is serving with "salmon".

Vegetarian Four Season Platter, vegetarian food nowadays not only looks very real towards normal food which is contain "meat", it's also taste very similar as well. You can see that there is "prawn" or "pork", it reminds me what I always eat last time when I still young while it is CNY season.

Vegetarian "beggar chicken (乞丐鸡)", not sure it is beggar chicken or not because I think I didn't eat beggar chicken for more than 10 years (I think). There is tons of mushrooms inside and I bet many people who eat vegetarian may be very interested in this dish.

Vegetarian "shark-fin" soup, standard taste of soup and it is gravy because of mixture of ingredients (not sure what ingredient to make the soup gravy).

Vegetarian "fish cake", I liked this dish because the taste is almost taste exactly same as the fish we eat nowadays, and it taste better! What I dislike is: we got 14 people and the restaurant serve only 3 pcs of "fish cake" and I hate cucumber floating on the sauce.

Beancurd (Taufu in our dialect), middle of this dish got a "bag of gold". The taste of beancurd is sweet & tasty, it seems that this is one of the fastest dish that cleared off from the table too (that's why I bet that it is tasty enough to say tasty).

Cold & hot platter, I seriously not sure what is this dish called. But the taste is not bad either, people who really liked salad would enjoy this dish, because the mini "cupcakes" size is cold salad and middle of the plate is hot fried foods.

Lotus leaf fried rice, sorry for the bad & blur quality photo, some of my friend (instagram) say that this dish looks not bad. Personal opinion: I expect that this fried rice could taste really better & smell outstanding, but the sad thing is it didn't smell goods and the taste is very light. Did you tried any vegetarian "char siew"? Because the "char siew" taste should be very strong, but I wonder why the taste & smell didn't come out? Probably used a poor quality vegetarian "char siew" perhaps.

Last and not least, sea coconut dessert. Not sweet at all, very friendly towards elder generation of people.

I am so glad to join this dinner, and I hope there is more family relative dinner coming up in the future.

This vegetarian restaurant food is very friendly towards elder generation of people by looking at the dessert, probably the fried rice taste very light could be one of the same reason that I stated in this sentences. The food cost around RM 600++ for total 14 people of use in this table, I am sure it is worth for me because the amount of people, the taste was alright & my skill of eating in this table.

I eat vegetarian (not full vegetarian) since when I was kid while I stayed in my uncle house (while my parent is busy), I remembered that my uncle know how to cook vegetarian food, which is tasty. Eat vegetarian isn't a bad choice because some of the vegetarian food could feed you very well with small portion of it. It is hard to make a choice and feel sick at the same time when I imagine about cannibalism towards animal (in my brain). Think again, become vegetarian will be a correct choice haha!
