Rickson Gracie v Masakatau Funaki at Colosseum 2000

Check out highlights from Rickson's last MMA fight against the famed Japanese fighter Masakatsu Funaki in the event Colosseum 2000 held in Tokyo, Japan. Funaki's corner did not even have a towel to throw as the Japanese warrior himself had instructed them not to have one. As re refused to tap he was put to sleep. Later on in an interview he stated that he thought he was going to die as he knew he wasn't going to tap and his corner-men did not have a towel to throw.

“Kid, I just came back from Brazil and I am back to my mission which is to contribute to spread Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and its’ philosophy to everyone I can reach. On my first week back in the US I taught officers from the Sugar Land Police Department and From the Regional Swat Team and on the weekend I visited the LX Jiu-Jitsu School of Mission, TX for seminar and promotions. The purpose of this 3-part course is to give women an understanding of the self defense aspects of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and to increase individual awareness about protection against violent crime.
