Hi,

My wife and I put out a podcast called Childrensbookradio.com
Our podcast is about reviewing Children' s books and it part of the Teachtopia.com network.

We are always looking to see what is out there in terms of other podcasts and really thought that your idea/concept was quite interesting.

Would any of the podcasters be open to an interview by my wife in a future show?

Contact her from the site: Childrensbookradio.com

I emailed Ted Lewin to thank him for his wonderful illustrations, here was his reply. Thanks again Ted!

Dear Paul,

Thank you very much for your kind words about my artwork for "Day of Ahmed's Secret." I was deeply touched by hearing your son Thomas read the words. He reads beautifully. If you haven't already done it, I hope it's okay with you if I forward your email to the author, Judy Heide Gilliland so she can hear her words come alive in your son's voice. It's a wonderful thing you're doing.

Best,

Ted

[...] We’re rediscovering Amelia Bedelia. As you’ll remember, we’ve read her books twice before and I wasn’t a huge fan. Well, opinions change and I’m starting to enjoy them more, partly because Thomas has made enough progress that he now gets many of the puns and jokes. It’s a lot more fun reading a book that I know Thomas is enjoying. In this one Amelia covers for an absent doctor with dangerous consequences. [...]

[...] Thomas is on an Amelia Bedelia kick. He’s turned into a big fan and is converting the rest of us too. As usual Amelia is getting more things wrong than right but she gives the boys and I good opportunities to learn about idioms. In this book she works around the house and makes a mess of almost everything. BTW, did you know Amelia first appeared in print 40 years ago? Compared to other books, she’s aging well!
[...] Another cool Cazet book. Like its predecessor the boys and I enjoyed this story. Minnie and Moo are funny and the story gave me an opportunity to recount an (abbreviated) version Mary Shelley’s classic horror story. The boys dig monsters. [...]

[...] Oh boy, this reading rivals Teach Us, Amelia Bedelia in terms of its sleep inducing powers. It’s a long recording and I dropped the mic at least once during the session as I nodded off. [...]
