The long wait is finally over my favorite brand Forever 21 is finally here in Mindanao with the opening of SM Lanang Premier. Fashionistas all over Mindanao finally has a new brand to play and mix match with.

I got an invite for the Forever 21 fashion show and grand opening and excited was an understatement I was ecstatic and nervous at the same time because I was thinking (Goodbye! money!, LOLs).

With my very good friend shoppingera, Ria Jose I headed out to SM Lanang Premier last September 27, 2012 for Forever 21 Grand Opening and Fashion Show. We came prepared and had our hair and make-up done at Hairs and Nails Salon. Guest were given gift certificates and a bracelet, they served cocktails and a free chef tony’s popcorn while waiting for the fashion show to start.

When the Forever 21 fashion show started my eyes were all over the cloths in my mind discussions like (I need to get that, oh I better get that it will be a perfect match for! and Oh! I’m looking for a pair of those) in short my mind already made a short (i mean LONG) list of things to buy in the store (hehehehe shoppaholic?! much).

The conclusion of the Forever 21 fashion show, models went down the run way led everyone to the entrance of the store then colroful confettis showered the front of Forever 21 store a signal for everyone to start SHOPPING!!!

That day I only bought 2 pants, 1 leather shorts and 3 basic tops because I was in a hurry for the opening of SM Lanang Premier IMAX.

The problem with me when I get my nails done the nail polish (even imported one) usually last just about 3 to 4 days only. I’m not so lady like, I always find myself doing things that ruins my nails and polish. So I sometimes opt to just get a colorless finish once a week. 6. Put 1st coat the colored polish of your choice
7. Place your hand or feet on the UV light for 5 minutes or more
8. Put the 2nd coat of the colored polish
9. Place your hand or feet on the UV light for 5 minutes or more
10. The top Gel polish coat
11. Place your hand or feet on the UV light for 5 minutes or more
12. Finishing polish/serum

I’m sorry for the not so technical steps but that was the process I remembered base on the photos I took. At least you have an idea how the whole process goes (not that exact full process, sorry). No need to wait for the polish to dry after all the process your ready to go you can even put on your close shoes right after.

Gel Nail Polish takes a long process but it will definitely be worth it.

Dance your way to Fitness with Zumba

I love to dance even at a very young age whenever I hear upbeat music my body seems to have a mind of it’s own and will start to groove. I feel good whenever I move my body with the beat. I think its human nature to react to upbeat music whether or not we can dance, our body has that instant reaction to upbeat and danceable music.

Zumba is for people of all shapes and sizes that love to dance, this is the perfect work out to do, it’s fun but most importantly it burns calories. Zumba makes you feel like your just out in the club with friends, partying. It cleverly incorporated exercise in dance routine. I remembered back in high school I always look forward to school programs or just any class programs coz I know some of us will be ask to do a dance number. Then I thought to myself what will happen when I already have a job or business there’s no programs such as those. And alas! this is it! ZUMBA class is the answer. Theirs no need of an important event or a night out for me to have a venue to dance my favorite mainstream upbeat songs and those contagious body moving Latin beat, it’s there at my disposal 3 to 4 times a week whenever I have time (I always make time).

Fitness enthusiast are right when they said find a suitable exercise for you, an activity that you love doing so it doesn’t feel like your working out. Dancing definitely is the right and suitable exercise for me. I always look forward for the schedules of Zumba classes in Gensan and even in Davao.

My Zumba Outfits

Zumba is also a venue for me to explore and experiment on fashion, YES! Zumba fashion. Since Zumba is a Latin inspired dance-fitness program Zumba fashion are colorful, mix matching green pants with orange top is a common sight to see during Zumba classes. Don’t get me wrong it’s not required for you to dress up during Zumba class, it’s all up to you. You can still do Zumba wearing simple leggings and shirt; some go wearing shorts and shirt some go wearing zumba colorful pants and dry fit tank top (that is usually me). I went gaga over gym cloths last month grabbing tank tops that are on SALE that matches my Zumba pants and shoes.

Zumba craze has already reached our beloved city. Classes are held at almost all Gyms, it also serves as warm up during Fun Runs and malls offer free Zumba classes as well. Mrs. Ma. Ofelia (Babes) Ferolin is the first certified Zumba instructor in Gensan so far. I’ve tried joining other Zumba classes but hers is by far where I get intensity and whole body workout. Everyone wants to have that “Korean-look” easy curls once in a while. Specially during events or just normal days where we want to dress up and feel good. I discovered this do-it-yourself Easy Curls with Wind Spin.  We discovered this item last year when we went to Hong Kong with my mom and dad.

It’s a very unique “patented” piece of structure you attach to any standard blower. It is a curl diffuser with cyclone technology to create that curls with steps as easy as blow drying your hair. Here are very easy steps to get that easy koren-look curls.

I just tried it this morning and I think I got one thing wrong. (hehehehe) But I still love the results. The thing is, I have a long hair I didn’t know that a portion of the structure can be detached to allow my long hair to just flow. I’ll be trying this again tomorrow and see the difference. Easy Steps:

1. Section damp hair into four quadrant, 2 sections in the front and 2 section at the back.

2. Attach the WIND SPIN to the Blower.

3. Divide the front section of your hair into 2 parts, then place 1st part inside the WIND SPIN tube.

4. Turn ON the blower then move the blower up and down. Wait until your hair is completely dry. While your doing this, your hair will be spinning inside the WIND SPIN.

5. Do the same thing with the rest of the sections.
