Tweepi is working on new Tweepi features and a new Twitter/Facebook marketing platform. We are
currently hiring a frontend developer This post is for the frontend developer position.

Position information

We are looking for a brilliant frontend developer to join us. An applicant must be a great
self-learner, always write with DRY and KISS principles in mind and be a master at writing
        automated Unit/System tests.
The task at hand is upgrading the current GWT/GXT Tweepi grid to a lightweight, mobile
        friendly grid to replace it.

Position type

Contract job for assisting us in upgrading Tweepi. Off-site / anywhere you can work from. Then
retainer/part-time/full-time depending on work quality and punctuality in respecting deadlines.

Job/Candidate Requirements

Experience in writing clean, well-structured HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP code.

Experience with at least one MVC PHP development framework. Tweepi is built with Symfony – so
if unfamiliar with Symfony, you’ll need to learn it.

Experience with jQuery and GWT/GXT to be able to read and migrate the code from the current
          GXT grid.

Clean, modular Javascript coding skills. Limited functionality functions for easier testing.

Experience in writing automated Javascript Unit and System tests.

Experience in writing optimized MySQL queries.

Job Description

Research the best choice for the Tweepi Grid replacement/upgrade with supporting arguments for
          that choice.

Preserve the grid layout and display format (button bars, pagination, SHIFT+click to select a
range, page width responsiveness of grid - currently on reload, etc).

Migrate types of grids. Search grids as well as local/remote sorting and filtering grids.

Preserve grid sorting and filtering functionality: depending on type of Tweepi tool, grid should
be able to do per-page client side sorting/filtering, or server side sorting/filtering which reloads
the contents of the grid itself, or a combination of both (depending on the column chosen).

Support showing/hiding columns.

Capability to handle unexpected API errors and server side problems and display them in a friendly
manner to client. Will be discussed in more depth.

Migration of main Tweepi functionality (grid buttons). API endpoints already built on PHP
          server side.

Migration/replacement of the dialogs and bubble pop-ups used for confirmations and errors.

How to apply

Email us your cover-letter describing why you are suitable for this job and your CV at jobs@tweepi.com.
Skype interview will be scheduled if found suitable. Applications with no cover-letters

Tweepi is working on new Tweepi features and a new Twitter/Facebook marketing platform. We are
currently hiring a UX designer. This post is for the UX designer position.

Position information

We are looking for a brilliant UX (User Experience) designer who can justify all design choices from
a user-centric perspective and their psychology.

Position type

Contract for the new project we are working on. Off-site / anywhere you can work from. Then
retainer/part-time/full-time depending on work quality and punctuality in respecting deadlines. We
have renovation plans for Tweepi.com to follow.

Job/Candidate Requirements

UX design experience. Portfolio required.

Ability to communicate messages in question with simplicity from icons to component presentation
on pages. We like to think of any new project as a platform that needs a new user to go through a
learning curve and the designer’s job is to help us make it as easy as possible.

Design choices must convey trust and high-quality. As everything we build is done with such
          criteria in mind from A-Z.

Experience in landing page design.

Good understanding of what choices are technically optimal, performance-wise. Our developers will
          help of course.

Familiar with A/B testing. We will be doing landing page testing, as well as registration flow
and other feature usage trends and always attempt to maximize user conversions and usability.

Familiar with basic CSS and Javascript. We currently use Twitter’s Bootstrap, so designs created
need to be aware of how this library works to simplify the work flow between you as the designer
and our developers who will convert the designs to “live” code.

Job Description

All above mentioned bullet points are part of the work to expect.

Research how others provide the best experience for specific scenarios to back design decisions.
For example, X’s landing page has proven to have great conversions, that would help back why a
certain landing page design and layout was chosen.

Produce wireframes before actual design to streamline decision making.

Work to expect: Landing page design, signup process (trial and paid) design, informational page
design, in-app user work flow design, A/B testing, etc.

How to apply

Email us your cover-letter describing why you are suitable for this job, your portfolio and your CV
at jobs@tweepi.com. Skype interview will be scheduled if found suitable. Applications with no cover-letters
        will be ignored.

Do you love working with kids, pets or seniors? Are you looking to make
at least $10-15 an hour? Like a flexible schedule? Then Sittercity.com
is the place for you!

Sittercity is America's first and largest babysitting and caregiver
site, with half a million users nationwide. We offer job support
including daily job alerts, background checks, personal profiles,
interviewing tips, and more.

We are in a bit of a bind- I am leaving my job to stay home
with my son beginning in August, however our current nanny has already
found a replacement position which begins June 15th. So we are looking
for someone to care for our son from June 15th through July 31st (6
weeks) to cover the gap.

Our son is 16 months old and the position would consist of watching him
from 8am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday, feeding him lunch during that
time and actively engaging him during the day. Candidates with 5+ years
experience is a plus and we prefer someone who lives nearby (in
Westchester) with a valid drivers license. However, we do live a block
and a half from the train station so it is not absolutely necessary.

Serious inquiries only, thank you!

Volunteer with VSO as an Urban and Regional Planner for 24 months, starting as soon as possible
Urban and regional planning in Zambia has been operating
ineffectually due to resource constraints and outdated planning
procedures. This has resulted in unplanned and illegal developments
without proper services available to them. The Zambian government has
introduced a new Urban and Regional Planning Bill, which will
fundamentally reshape planning in Zambia and will require all planning
authorities to prepare Integrated Development Plans (IDP) for their
areas. As the Urban and regional planner for Luapula Province, you’ll
support the Province by strengthening the local ministry’s capacity to
prepare the IDPs and subsequently implement the Bill.
What does the role involve
You’ll work with colleagues to enable the transition from District
Councils to Planning Authorities. You’ll use your experience of working
with teams in development planning to assist colleagues in developing
their roles and responsibilities. To do this you will:
• assist with the programming and preparation of Integrated
Development Plans (IDPs) in the Luapula Province
• develop IDP implementation plans and monitoring systems
• ensure resources are made available for the IDP implementation
• provide training to District Councils in the Luapula Province on
organisational and management changes necessary to take on new
responsibilities as Planning Authorities under the Bill
• share with colleagues skills in urban, regional planning and
management throughout the Province, including data management and GIS.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
You’ll be educated to Degree level or above in Urban and Regional
Planning (or similar). You’ll have significant practical experience in
Urban Design or Regional Planning and will be familiar with planning
standards, plus practical experience of GIS. You’ll have strong project
management skills, be hardworking and a self-starter and be able to show
how you’ve shared your skills with others previously. You’ll need to be
flexible, with the ability to work with unexpected circumstances and
empower others through your encouragement of their learning. You will
have sensitivity to another culture and a desire to build strong working
relationships.
And the rest....
You will be based in Mansa, the capital of Luapula Province in Zambia.
For your placement, you’ll be based in the offices of the Provincial
Planning Officer and will work closely under that Officer’s supervision.
You will liaise periodically with other VSO planner placements in other
Provinces. Mansa is a beautiful Province with lovely rivers, waterfalls
and wetlands to visit. Mansa is a hub for the province and has a daily
market, banks, stores and a supermarket. We’ll ask you to commit to at
least 24 months to make a sustainable contribution to our development
goals. In return, we’ll provide you with extensive training before your
placement, and our financial package includes a local living allowance,
return flights, accommodation, insurance and more. When you return to
your home country, we'll support you to resettle.

neutrality, political and religious impartiality, and non
discrimination.
ACTED was created in 1993 to support populations affected by the

30 countries worldwide, with over 200 international and 4000 national
staff. ACTED has a 100 million € budget for over 340 projects spanning 8

ACTED began work in Iraq in 2003. ACTED has one base in southern Iraq
in Kut and in 2007 opened a base in Erbil to better respond to IDP
needs in the Kurdistan region. ACTED originally focused on improving the
health, water and sanitation conditions of vulnerable populations in
southern Iraq, but the deteriorating security situation and drastic
increase in the number of displaced people have resulted in a new focus
on meeting IDP and host community needs, based on the experience in IDP
camps in Lebanon. The ACTED Iraq national team includes around 100
people who implement multi-sector emergency relief projects including
WATSAN activities, gender based violence awareness, health promotion,
economic rehabilitation, food security, and distribution of basic relief
commodities.
Supporting long-term impacts through sustainable livelihoods and support
to local civil society - For ACTED Iraq, 2011 was a year of transition
from emergency relief and rehabilitation to development. To support the
slow march towards peace and stability, ACTED implemented a dynamic
range of programming from the distribution of basic necessities to
internally displaced families to apprenticeship programs, gender-based
violence awareness and capacity building of local authorities and Iraqi
civil society.
In 2011, ACTED partnered with an Iraqi NGO for the first time in order
to jointly implement a project providing assistance to Iraq’s displaced
populations. Moving forward, ACTED will prioritise partnership with
local Iraqi NGOs to better deliver assistance through their detailed
knowledge of and experience with target communities, build the capacity
of Iraq’s civil society and move toward increasingly sustainable and
longer-term interventions.
ACTED operations in Sri Lanka began in 2005 in the aftermath of the

of the country.
With the resettlement of displaced populations and the rehabilitation of
critical infrastructure comes the need for sustainable development with
a longer-term perspective.
ACTED has responded to these evolving needs in Sri Lanka with a strategy
that hinges on the promotion of equitable development and pro-poor
growth, contributing to the country’s need for equitable distribution of
wealth and resources. While continuing to support the needs of the most
vulnerable returnees in the North through infrastructure rehabilitation
and cash transfer activities, the concept of community-driven
development through the strengthening of community-based organisations
continues to influence many of ACTED activities in Sri Lanka. New
opportunities for 2012 also involve Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)
development in the East, providing clear and realistic frameworks for
the growth and increased productivity of 40 SMEs, providing training on

I. ACTED
