To build a list you first need to have a third party Newsletter provider that will allow you to create an opt-in form on your website, to build your list and then follow up and communicate your news, articles, tips and resources and of course your best offers.

There are many around and it is important to set up one that will allow you to grow your business and will integrate with other processes like shopping carts that you may well need now or later on. Not all services integrate with these products and if you have to change your provider later on, you often risk losing the list that you have built up, so it’s important to get this right from the off.

The service that I have been using for the past 5 years and recommend and that many of my fellow entrepreneurs use and recommend is here.  They have a variety of templates that can be customised to suit your needs and are one of the leaders in the field.  They also allow you to set up auto-responders enabling you to deliver sequential messages to your clients and even deliver goodies such as e-courses, ebooks etc, all on automatic pilot!

So do check this out and you will see how easy it is to set up. Think of your newsletter and auto responder as your sales team! You can put this on your new or existing website straightaway and hey presto start generating more leads, community, service and sales!

Once you have your newsletter provider you will want to set up a Free Gift, this should be something that adds value to your potential clients/customers.  This may be a free report, audio, or e-course, that is delivered automatically via auto-responder, once they have opted in to your community.

Now you are ready to promote your services and invite people to party with you.

Secret List Building Strategy

Now for my secret strategy for adding 100’s of targeted traffic and potential clients/customers to your list .is to join a GiveAway event.  One recent Give Away I participated in added over 100 people to my list literally overnight.  When I checked my stats the next day I was delighted to see that my community had expanded and that we now had over 21 countries represented in our community, so we are truly a community of global hearts, all with a mission to live our purpose and build a heart centred business.

Mindset Mastery – Part 2

Fail to plan and you plan to fail.  No doubt you’ve heard that expression before and it’s true.  You wouldn’t leave home to go somewhere you haven’t been before without a sat nav or at the least a road map.  That’s why it’s so important to have a business plan.

So, if you’ve not yet got a business plan in place, start thinking about what you want from your business and map out a plan for your business project.  There are of course many aspects to running a successful business and a good business plan provides an overview with both short and long term goals and a more detailed step by step action plan for each project or task.  What’s the next step you need to take? If you don’t know what the next step is, then your next step is to find out what comes next. Perhaps you need a coach or a mentor who can teach you the steps or guide the way?

When you complete the first step, what do you do next? What do you do after that? Coming up with a game plan is simple. All you do is list the steps you must take in order. You can tweak and improve your plan as you receive feedback on what is and isn’t working. The first draft of your plan, therefore, is a preliminary list of steps to your success.

For example, let’s say you’re setting up a new business or thinking about developing a new product/service in your business. Your action plan might look something like this:

• Identify a passionate and profitable niche.
• Get clear on your offer/products/services
• Write some fabulous compelling sales copy
• Identify effective marketing strategy and systems (social media, shopping cart, affiliates, speaking, networking)
• Launch your product/services
• Sell your product/services
• Deliver your product/services
• Rinse and Repeat.

Once you have a plan in place, that plan will be your tour guide to the destination you’re seeking to reach.

Sometimes, the best way to lay out a roadmap is simply to brainstorm and write down ideas for possible tasks as fast as you can. You can always edit the list later. Whatever you decide to do, write your list quickly and then get started on the first task. Your task list and plan will evolve as you progress toward your goal, gather feedback on your progress, and learn from others.

Why waste time making mistakes, when you can learn from others who’ve gone before you?

Stay focused and determined to find solutions to your challenges.  Find out how others have succeeded and you’ll be well on your way.  Business is much more fun and when you have support of a coach or mentor on your team and will keep you focused on achieving the results you want.  Whether you succeed or fail is entirely up to you. Often, you have far more ability and creativity inside of you than you think.  Even when you lack these things, someone else who has already succeeded can show you the steps and strategies you need.

Your Mindset is The Foundation of Your Business

Your mindset is the foundation for your business and in this series we will look at the mindset challenges faced by many entrepreneurs and how you can master your mindset for optimum business success.

Expect the Best

The first step in overcoming any challenge is to expect the best out of the situation. When you go into a challenge with the expectation of failure, chances are good that you will fall short of your goal. Your mindset going into any situation plays a big role in whether or not you’re going to come through it with success.

Even when your situation seems overwhelming and completely unbeatable, you can choose to think the best of it. Find the good in the situation, learn from it, and focus on solutions. When you do, you’ll routinely turn the frustrations of your life into victories.

Try these strategies to focus your mindset on expecting the best:

1. Use positive self-talk. When you face a challenge, do you find yourself saying, “I can’t do this?” If that’s the case, your self-talk is sabotaging your success. Instead, tell yourself you can and will succeed.

• Give yourself permission to make mistakes and learn from them.
• Resolve today that you refuse to give up until you reach the goal you’ve set.
• By simply changing what you say in certain situations, you can alter the way your mind thinks about difficult circumstances.

Replace negative thinking with productive thinking. Think about the road before you in a way that spurs you on toward success.

• Replace thoughts of “I can’t” or “I’ll never make it” with productive thinking. Tell yourself, “I’ll figure out a solution.”
• Then focus on a solution, instead of the challenge. When something’s frustrating you, put your mind to work in a productive manner. Think about what’s great about the situation you’re in. How can you make it the way you want it? This kind of thinking can only lead to success.

Remind yourself that the only way to fail is to give up and, instead, resolve to keep putting one foot in front of the other until you reach your destination.

2. Believe in yourself. You’re capable of amazing things. You just have to trust in your abilities, gifts, and talents.

• Reflect on your previous accomplishments. You’ve certainly succeeded at many things before, but you’ve likely forgotten. Focus on previous victories and you’ll feel confident to tackle any challenge.

With the proper mindset in place, your talents, desires, and abilities will naturally draw success to you. Even when you fall short, you’ll make the most of the experience by learning from it and moving forward in a positive direction.

Perhaps you’ve attended seminars, read books, and taken courses, but, in the end, fallen back into the same dysfunctional patterns you’ve always followed! Why does it always turn out this way?

We struggle to make permanent changes in our lives because we input information only into our conscious mind. Here’s the problem: your conscious mind is not what directs your behaviors and belief system. 

To change your behaviors, you must first reprogram the hard-wired center of your mind: the subconscious mind. 

How Does Your Subconscious Mind Work?

The subconscious is the largest part of our mind. It contains all the messages we’ve received throughout our lives. It holds millions and millions of thoughts grouped into clusters that form beliefs, mindsets and character traits.

The relationship between the conscious and subconscious minds is like an iceberg. The conscious mind is represented by the visible tip of the iceberg, while the subconscious is represented by the gigantic lower portion of the iceberg hidden from view.

You can’t see the subconscious in action, but it certainly has a major impact on the voyage you take in your life. 

The subconscious is the place where all of your learned behaviors reside. Once you learn to walk, you don’t need to consider how to lift and place each foot to take the next step, do you? Of course not! Your subconscious mind automatically controls your steps.

Your subconscious learns behavior through repetition and practice. Just as it learned to control your footsteps when you learned to walk, it also controls your footsteps in your life’s journey based on what you’ve reinforced throughout your life.

The good news is you can reprogram your subconscious mind by inputting and reinforcing new thoughts and actions! There are several different techniques you can use to tap into the subconscious mind and reprogram how it works.

Here are some strategies you can use to change your mind and change your life:

1. Affirmations. Affirmations work to change your subconscious mind by using positive, personal, present tense statements to override the embedded negative thinking. By repeating these positive thoughts, you can create new pathways in your subconscious,giving it new attitudes. Then your subconscious causes you to act in new ways that agree with these new attitudes. For example, repeating: “I choose healthy foods at each meal” can change your mindset about what you eat and why!
2. Visualization. Visualization is the act of creating detailed mental pictures that depict a desired outcome so you can see success for yourself. These images stimulate the subconscious into accepting them as reality,which then directs behavior accordingly. Top athletes around the world use this technique during game-time and successful entrepreneurs too know the value of this powerful inner work.
3. Hypnosis.Some types of therapy work with the subconscious mind, including hypnosis. Hypnosis works by easing you into a state of extreme relaxation. Once you’re in this state, the conscious mind releases its grip, and the subconscious mind is easier to access.While under hypnosis, it’s much easier to reprogram the subconscious into accepting new thoughts as reality.
   

Using techniques like these can help you reprogram your subconscious mind and remove the burden of the negative thoughts buried there.

So we’re agreed that everything is energy right?  I mean quantum physics tells us so.  Well in life there are essentially just two basic energies. LOVE or FEAR.

Fear is a contracted energy, it causes your body to contract and keeps you playing small. It is the energy that causes you to fight or flight.

Your thoughts affect your body and your business is simply an extension of your body.  Everything that shows up in your business is simply a reflection of your thoughts, feelings and beliefs.  If you are experiencing something that is unwanted, simply acknowledge that you have created it in some way. You see, your unconscious mind is always at work, and whilst you may consciously be focused on a particular goal, you’re unconscious is simply magnetising and attracting your reality and daily experience. If you have negative or limiting thoughts, feelings and beliefs (and we all do!) they will inevitably show up in your business.

So let’s look a little more into how your energy impacts your business.

LOVE is an expansive energy, it causes each and every cell in your body to align and work together in harmony for a greater purpose.

Your life is a gift and of course you have free will, yet so much of your suffering and dis-ease in life is caused through your failure to connect with the deepest part of who you are and discover you true value in the world and bring forward your unique soul gifts that you came here to share.  For when you allow yourself to fully share your gifts you will find the fulfilment that you seek.

Your Soul Purpose is the contract that you make before you incarnate.  Essentially you choose the focus of your life here on earth, dependent upon that which your soul wishes to learn.  Your Soul Purpose is a sacred contract that you share with others.  A contract in which you are in service to your soul, and to the soul of others, for you are both student and teacher.

Where in life are you holding yourself back?  What grand vision is your soul calling you to embrace?  If not now then when?

One of the ways that I have found really useful in working with my clients is to encourage them to day-dream and allow their Higher Self unconscious mind to bring through the wisdom of their Soul through the creation of a Vision Board.  So simply read through the following simple instructions, invite your Higher Self to work with you and start playing!

How To Create A Vision Board And Bring Your Soul’s Vision To Life

Visualizing what you really want in life can be one of the most powerful ways to manifest your dreams. A vision board can be a simple and yet truly powerful tool in visualization.

Vision boards are also known as goal maps, goal boards and treasure maps, and the concepts behind them have been used for generations. Still, they’re gathering renewed interest as people realize how powerful they can be in bringing dreams to life.

Use the following basic guidelines to create your very own vision board:

1. A vision board begins with a foundation. This may be a poster board, foam board, tri-fold board, or cork board. Use what works best for you. Choose a foundation that speaks to you, one that you feel you can easily and effectively build upon.
2. A vision board includes imagery. You can clip pictures out of books, magazines, or the newspaper. If you prefer, you can draw the images yourself. What matters here is that images are present, because your vision board needs to be visual in nature. Seeing pictures of your priorities, dreams, and goals will help you focus on them.

• Allow yourself to experiment with different mediums while creating the images for your vision board. Find photographs, sketches, clip art and other images; then draw any subjects for which you couldn’t find an appropriate piece of art.

1. A vision board includes writing. Writing isn’t mandatory, but it can play a role in identifying the key pieces of information. You want to make sure that you can look at your vision board at any point in the future and know exactly what you intended by each picture, word or thought included on it.

Your goal map is limited only by the extent of your personal creativity. It may be simple and strategic or it may be a highly detailed work of art. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide what best suits your needs.

The general elements in an effective and motivating vision board are:

1. Visual. Your subconscious tends to work in terms of images and pictures, and so your vision board should be as visual as you can possibly make it. Supplement the images with phrases and words as needed.
2. Emotional. Every image on your goal map should evoke some type of positive emotional response out of you. Seeing it should fuel your motivation to achieve your dreams.
3. Strategic. This tool should be placed strategically in a location where you receive maximum exposure to it. Seeing your vision board as often as possible will help you stay focused on your goals and dreams.
4. Personal. Your vision board needs to emit positive energy. If you think that you’ll be criticized or forced to justify yourself for your vision board, then keep it in a private location so nobody else can bother it or you.

Beyond these basic guidelines, let this tool be whatever you want to make of it. Ultimately, it’s yours to design, develop and utilize as you see fit. You can add to it and change it over time as your goals and focuses change.

Easter is traditionally the time of spring cleaning of giving up or letting go of all that no longer serves us, now what happens when you think about sacrificing something.  Do you think about going without or of giving up?  Well you might be surprised to discover that the word sacrifice actually means to make sacred.  Does that put a different slant on it for you?

So I’m going to invite you for a moment to think of something that is no longer working for you.  It may be a habit, a belief, a job, relationship, home and as you think about whatever it is that you don’t want, notice your thoughts, and feelings, see how you act when you think and feel that way.

For most of us when we think about letting go, giving up, there is resistance and the tendency to hold on to the familiar.  Is this true for you?

Many people hold onto jobs, relationship because of this fear of letting go.

So let’s come back to the true meaning of sacrifice.  Sacrifice – To make sacred.

Did you know that your Soul has made sacred contracts before you were born and is constantly guiding you to fulfill your sacred contract and live your Soul Purpose? What would you be willing to let go of easily and naturally, if you knew beyond a shadow of doubt that the universe was guiding you to live in the moment, and follow your bliss?  If you knew that the universe was encouraging you to let go, so that you could make sacred your true hearts desires, your soul path?

For you see, when you are willing to release everything, knowing and trusting that the universe supports you and will always provide you with something better, you’ll find it easy to enjoy and be grateful for all that you have now, knowing that it’s served you in some way and has bought you to this moment of sacrifice, of making sacred your hearts desires and you can just let go now as you breathe out, and feel your body relaxing into the deep peace of your heart’s vision growing each and every day stronger as something inside shifts and blossoms in ways you can’t even begin to imagine right now, all because you’re willing to sacrifice and let go, let god.

So now that you have let go energetically, I’d like to invite you to make your sacrifice on a physical level. Write down on a piece of paper, whatever it is that you’ve been struggling with, holding onto, fretting over.  Then crumple it up and burn it, as you watch it burn, focus on your breathing, and the deep peace and pure vision of your heart and just let it be.  You’ll be suprised just how powerful a creator you are and just like the phoenix that rises from the ashes your hearts desires can take flight.
