-Hearing my son say "Momma" in the mornings through our monitor. Then walking into his room, seeing his smiling face and then being greeted "Hi Mommy".
-When I cook a meal and Lynn goes back for seconds. I know I did a job well done.
-When I crack myself up. "That's a plan Sam"
-The new coke machine at "Fuddruckers". There is 150 flavors and it looks like something from outer space. FANTASTIC!
-Buxom lip gloss and lip balm. Best $40.00 that I ever spent.
-My new "Never Soggy Cereal Bowl", that I have yet to use but when I do....

Bedroom Make Over

I am starting to make over my bedroom. When I told my husband that I wanted to redo things, like get a new comforter he told me he knew that was coming. Am I really that predictable? Were not doing anything real drastic to our bedroom, just redoing the colors.Well kinda...It used to be yellow, black and white and now it will be gray, white and yellow. Our walls are already a light gray, so no need to paint. I am sure my husband is thankful for that. I got a new comforter from IKEA for Christmas, that I love(pic will be coming soon.)We moved our computer into our bedroom, my husband said if we ever have another kid we will need to move it anyways. We also moved our entryway table into the bedroom, that is now the new computer desk. I borrowed my friend Priscilla sander( thank God for friends who have things you can borrow) and so I sanded away last Saturday. I haven't painted it, it will be a lovely bright color of yellow,with maybe some gray knobs. I got the pic above the table from here

A little bit of Christmas

I know Christmas is long gone now, well only by a week but here is a few pics from that day. Since becoming parents seems like we only have pics of Miles. So here is too Miles and his 2nd Christmas.

We are hoping Miles becomes a musical genius since he loves music(singing, dancing, playing his instruments)and since the talent does run in my husbands family the chances are looking pretty good....

It's A New Season, It's a New Day...

The year 2011 will be a year I will never forget. It was a year of disappointments,a year of fears, a year of tears and there was some excitement also.Everything that I had gone through, I wouldn't want to go through it again but there was a lot of lessons learned.

The year 2011 taught me to trust in God in everything. God doesn't want just half of you but all of you. There were times that I thought God wasn't there when I was hurting but I was tried in the fire but I came out gold. God didn't leave me, he was silently watching over me. 2011 taught me that love is unconditional and the greatest of love can survive the harshest of conditions. 2011 taught me about forgiveness. The Lord gives us mercy and forgiveness, so it can be extended to others.

I am excited for 2012 and all that it has in store for us.It's a year of change. It's a new season, it's a new day.

Change Words and Be Hilarious

I haven't used my blog in awhile and with a new year approaching I thought I would try to keep up with it. My wonderful husband "Lynn" did the new design for me, I am a little obsessed with yellow and gray right now. I am in the process of redoing our bedroom in yellow and gray(pics to come soon).

I thought I should explain with title of my blog"Change words and be Hilarious". I have a really bad habit of changing words and phrases or just saying really crazy things. All of friends and family like to laugh at me and give me a hard time about it(all in good fun though). I say things like:"bum hogbug, it's not even deer season(why a dead deer was dead on the side of the road in the spring time), it's just like day sha voo(me dropping mustard on the floor getting ready for my sons birthday party), duh stupid ducks don't fly" and the list goes on. I had found this image and well everyone thought it was very fitting, thus the name of the blog. Until next time.....Peace Out!

Were having a boy!

On Friday the 13th of November we found out that we are having a boy! His name will be " Miles Hunter Dutton" not named after anyone in particular but just for the simple fact we like the name. I can not not tell you how excited we are, our baby is truly a gift for God. It is hard to believe in four more months we will get to meet him. The feelings of excited, anxious, scared and being nervous runs through my emotions. I think because knowing that everything we do/say will influence him and the of person he will become. People keep telling us how much our life is about to change and we know it will but for the good. I can't wait for our little man to get here:)

I am crazy about Etsy! Once I find out the gender of our baby I will be even crazier! The majority of everything on there is homemade and for the most part cheap:)There are two of the lap shirts that I just ordered from there. I can't wait to be able to use them.

I am seriously crazy about Owl stuff! My child will probably grow up to hate Owls because of me. Everything that is out there now is just so cute:) Everyone should already know that is the "theme" for the nursery. When we start to decorate I will be sure to post pics.

Well, the all fun stuff has started I have my first appointment August 21, that seems so far away!I started buying stuff already, I just ordered something for the nursery. I can wait for the item to get here, it is so stinkin cute. I love to decorate and I already know what I want the nursery to look like,I have a feeling besides doctor appointments I know where are money will be going too. That is o.k. though, it is all well worth it:)

Expecting

Lynn and I are expecting are first baby! We are really happy, sometimes it felt like this was never going to happen. I am just so thankful that we have a God that watches over us and everything that concerns us. We really are blessed!I downloaded a app on my phone and if is correct I am 4wks,4ds, and 1 month pregnant and the due date is March 28th. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support, we truly have a great family, friends and church family.

It has been a few months since I have written anything but tonight I sit here with a thankful heart. The Lord filled one of my co-workers I had worked with at Dr. Parvari office with the Holy Ghost yesterday morning. He filled Tracey daughter Kelsey with the Holy Ghost tonight at crusader camp. I am just amazed at all the Lord is doing in their life, I am so happy I can't stand it. I just want to sit here and cry;tears of joy! To think about where she was two years ago, to where she is now.

Prayer Request

My best friend Amanda and her husband Shane are going before the board today to ask to be approved to be a home mission church in Justin, Texas. They have been a daughter work under Hurst UPC and they have been having wonderful revival there in Justin. If you would please keep them in your prayers today. They are wonderful people and I know their hear beat is to see souls saved.

I just wanted to give a great big Thank You to the ladies that went to help pass out Valentine candy to the residents at Lakeridge Place. I know you all have very busy lives and it means a lot that you took time out of your schedule to go. We so much enjoyed it, the surprise on their face's was priceless and some wanted us to stay and talk awhile. It was a real so enjoyable and Thank You again and again.

What a Day

Last night I had the girls in the youth group come over for a sleep over and then a day of shopping. I think they went to bed like at 6:00am and and got up at 8:30am, the dogs were crying about 6:00 so I had to get up and let them out, I was sooo.....mad. On our way to grapevine one of the girls got sick, so we had to pull over and let her out. We finally made it to grapevine and I believe the girls had a blast, we were there for I think 3 hours and then went to southlake town center. They didn't do much shopping there, but me and Kassie enjoyed it:)Love me some Anthropologie!!Despite being tired and having sick girls, I really enjoyed myself.

Good Report!!

My grandmother"Memaw" got a very good report this week. Memaw has had cancer in her lymph nodes for sometime now and the tumors have gotten bigger and spread over parts of her body for several years. Well....... she went to the doctor this week and they told her that the tumors haven't grown and the spots that they saw on her lungs a few weeks ago are so small they can not tell what they are and she can take her port out because she is in remission. Thank You Jesus!!!!!!!I am just glad to know that we serve a God that hears are prayers and heals the sick.

First Step

Tuesday night was my first night to volunteer at the woman's shelter, for those who don't know First Step has a shelter for domestic violence and sexual assault. Not really sure what I was going to be doing, I went and I really enjoyed my self. It is every bit of crazy and chaotic in that place. I really didn't do much except learn how things are done and sat through a house meeting. I will be going next Tuesday to be with the kid's while the women have their group sessions. I asked what I need to do with the kids as far as activities and the manager of the shelter told me to just pray about it. I am not really sure what to do since the ages are from 12 months to 12 years old. If there are any suggestions, that would be great! I will go now and finish taking the tree down. Have a great New Year's Day!

I wanted to take the time and thank those ladies that came up to the hospital yesterday to give cookies to the kids that were there. I know Saturday are our really only day to get things we need done and I know this being the weekend before Christmas you had other things you need to to get done. You came anyways and for that I am grateful and I know the parents of those kid's were also.I am always so happy when people give of them self' s and their time. I don't know of anything else I would rather spend my time, than to be a blessing to someone else.

I Give Thanks

I am finally able to sit down and write a post as my pastor challenged us to do.I kept wondering who I would give my thanks too and only one person came to mind,someone I often wanted to tell this to but never have.

My #1 Aunt Donna,like Lynn's Aunt Linda,Donna has been someone that was more than a Aunt she has been like a Mother and a Friend.She would do anything for anyone but that is not what I wanted to Thank her for.

I was at the church the night of Shane and Amanda's wedding shower and I had only came to church since I was in her wedding.I haven't been going to church for sometime and I remember going to the alter and praying but it wasn't for myself, I was praying for friends since that was thing to do, I really didn't care much for God at that time and really it was all show. My Aunt Donna came up to me she was praying for me,I just remember this weight lifting off me and I received the gift of the Holy Ghost.Believe me that was the last thing I was wanting or looking for. The Lord knew the road that I heading and he sent me Aunt Donna. I just wanted to say Thank You. My life has never been the same since that night. U will alway's be my number #1.
