Lil Inker Designs' Spooky September Release - Day 2

Hi there! Welcome to day two of the Lil' Inker Designs spooky new release blog hop! I've got another fun card to share with you today - read on to see how I made it, and be sure to leave a comment on each stop of the hop for a chance to win a prize package of all of the new Halloween LID dies!

I started by die cutting the new large Spooky die. I added different types of embossing powder to each of the letters - I love how it turned out! To do this yourself, just mask off the letters next the one you are currently working on and be sure not to overheat each one! Next, I used Boo & Faces 2 and the Perfect Palette die (I cut it down) to create a little border strip. I used the same color embossing powders that I used on my Spooky die! The Open if you Dare sentiment comes from Boo & Faces. I love how this turned out - a little spooky, mostly fun!

I created a spooky night sky background using several blue shades of alcohol ink. I removed some of the ink where I wanted the moon to be - love this look! Lil' Inker Designs June Release - Day 3

Hi there! It's the final day of Lil' Inker Designs June release blog hop! Today I've got a few more cards to share with you using the new Quilted Stitched Stepping Stones die, Happy Birthday To You Word Die & the super cute Cake Party stamps & dies!

I used the Quilted Stitched Stepping Stones die for the background of this card and added two layered Happy Birthday to You word dies. I stamped the adorable giraffe from the Cake Party stamp set, colored him in with Copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut him out! That fun yellow border is the previously released Stitched Mini Chevron Border Die

For this next card, I used several colors of Distress Oxide Inks to blend a background, then used the Quilted Stitched Stepping Stones die to make that great embossed texture.

I adhered the Happy Birthday to You die cut to the front and added some Nuvo Drops to the center of each of the starbursts. Simple and fun! I thought this would be a nice card for the guys in my life....

Lil' Inker Designs June Release - Day 2

Hi again! I'm back again for day two of product reveals for the Lil' Inker Designs June release! Today I'm sharing a project using Hand Drawn Thankfulness. **PLEASE READ: Full disclosure - my project features an image that has the word 'thoughtfulness' spelled incorrectly. This typo was caught and all orders of this new stamp set will ship with an additional corrected version of the stamp image. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it before I had my project completed and I didn't have time to create a new card to share with you because - proud mom moment - my son is graduating from high school this Friday!! I've been so stressed and BUSY planning for the party this weekend!!

I created a shaker image using the Shaker Tag Die set and an image from the new Hand Drawn Thankfulness stamp set. The shaker tag set makes creating a shaker super easy - I filled the box with seed beads and added some detail with a white gel pen. A bit of matching twine finish off this card!

Lil' Inker Designs June Release - Day 1

Hello, hello! I'm so excited because today is the first day of product reveals for the Lil' Inker Designs June release! There are so many fun new items to share with you this month - I'll start day one off with Time for Tea stamps & dies and the Quilted Stitched Stepping Stones die!

I used the Quilted Stitched Stepping Stones die on just the top and bottom of a white cardstock panel. (To do this, put your top die cutting plate on ONLY the portion of the die you wish to cut.) Next, I stamped the beautiful sentiment from Time for Tea on the smooth portion of the cardstock panel.

I used the sweet tea cup, tea bag and saucer dies included with the Time for Tea die set to cut all of the accessories. I love all of the fun sentiments included in the stamp set that you can use to stamp the tea bag!!

Lil' Inker Designs May Release - Day 3

It's the final day of the Lil' Inker Designs May release blog hop! I've got one more card to share with you today - this one features the new Think Happy Thoughts stamps & dies!

I stamped the hibiscus flower on red cardstock and used an ink blending tool to add some darker red ink to the edges. I stamped the center portion with Versamark ink and used both yellow & black embossing powder. The leaves were stamped on green cardstock and them everything was die cut with the coordinating dies. The fun scripty sentiment is also from Think Happy Thoughts.

I used the Cover Up Die: Diamond Chevron to die cut my background piece and added it to a piece of black cardstock. The focal panel was adhered to this and a few black pearls finish this card off!

Hello again! I'm back with some more Lil' Inker Designs new release goodness today. Check out these adorable new pineapple dies!

I've used three new products on today's card - the Be Sweet Stamp Set, Hawaiian Word Dies, and Pineapple Shaker Die set. Here I've shown how versatile this die set is....the pineapple dies can be used on their own or as a shaker (stay tuned later in the month when I'll share a shaker card)! I just love that stitched & dotted detail layer so much! The stamped sentiment is from Be Sweet, and that lovely layered Aloha is included in the Hawaiian Word Dies, along with the Mahalo sentiment.

Lil' Inker Designs May Release - Day 1

Hello! It's finally starting to feel like summer is just around the corner (aside from all of the rain we've been getting...ugh!) - and Lil' Inker Design has the most perfect release to celebrate all things summer!

Today I've got two cards to share using both the positive and negative cuts from the gorgeous new Butterfly Cover Up Die! To create these cards, I used a rainbow of alcohol inks to create a background piece. I used the Butterfly Cover Up die to die cut first the alcohol inked piece and then a piece from black cardstock.

I adhered the black piece to my card base and added the multi-colored pieces with a bit of liquid glue. The sentiment in the lower right corner is from the brand new Spread Your Wings stamp set.

For this next card, I used the positive butterfly piece of my alcohol inked background, and adhered it to a white card base. I added the negative pieces from the black cut with some liquid glue. The sentiment is again from the new Spread Your Wings stamp set.

I love this die because there are several ways to use it....not to mention it's just gorgeous!!! Be sure to hop along for much more inspiration from the LID team (and our newest team member, Laura!). Lil' Inker Designs February Release - Day 3

Welcome back for day three of Lil' Inker Designs' February release! Today I'm sharing my very favorite cards of the release - these both use the fabulous new Cover Up Die - Mod Circles!

This first card is so bright and cheerful! I die cut the Cover Up Die - Mod Circles from black, aqua, raspberry, lime & orange papers. I adhered the black die cut to a white card base and inlaid the colored pieces. I heat embossed the sentiment from Sassy Pants in white, then stamped and die cut the Snarky Shadow Hello and adhered it with foam tape!

This next card also uses the Cover Up Die - Mod Circles, but this time I've snipped just a strip from two colors and offset them to create a fun border.

stamped and heat embossed the Hello sentiment from Snarky Shadow Hello with aqua glitter, and added a supporting sentiment strip in coordinating cardstock to finish the card!

Lil' Inker Designs February Release - Day 2

Welcome back for day two of the Lil' Inker Designs February release! I've got a card to share today using the cutest new stamps & dies - Sassy Girl!

Since the set is all about the sass, I wanted to add an animal print border to my card so I began by stamping an image from Unstoppable along the top and bottom of my card panel. I added detail to the stamped images with a black marker and voila! Cheetah spots!

Next up that sweet & sassy gal! I die cut the sunglasses, lips face & hair and stamped and embossed the pretty hair bow. I added some embossing ink to the sunglasses and heat embossed the frames with a matching red glitter! A little blush to the cheeks and glossy accents on the lips finish off this cutie!

The sentiment is from Sassy Girl and that awesome Fabulous word die is new as well! There's one more day of inspiration headed your way tomorrow, so be sure to stop back then. Lil' Inker Designs February Release - Day One

Hello there! Today the Lil' Inker Design team is sharing projects featuring the brand new February release! Be sure to hop along and leave comments at all of the stops for a chance to WIN the entire release!

Today's card features the absolutely adorable Dog Hugs stamp set. Remember the super cute Cat Hugs stamp that was released a few months back? Now the dog lovers have a stamp set all their own as well!

I stamped the Dog Hugs stamp and then cut around some of the dogs to make the scene a bit smaller. Then I used the awesome die that cuts slits around the dog paws - how clever is that? Then you are able to tuck in all of the cute accessories included in the stamp set! I used some dog bones and hearts for this card, but there are a TON of accessories you can use! Next I added details with a white gel pen and then coated the entire piece with Glossy Accents. The fun background is an older cover-up die called Dotted Scallops. I adhered it to a piece of cardstock that I used Distress Oxide Inks to blend a gradient on. The little supporting sentiment finished off this card!

MFT February Release

Hello there! I'm thrilled to be joining the amazing MFT designers and guests for this month's MFT & Friends, celebrating the brand new February release from My Favorite Things.

Today is the day all of the awesome February products are available for purchase and let me tell you....I had so much fun playing with everything! I've got three cards to share with you, so let's get started!

First up is a card using a bunch of new goodies - the Super Dog stamps & dies, the City Block die and the Tag Builder Blueprints 7. I created a shaker with the Tag Builder and adhered some of the City Block buildings inside along with some star & moon sequins I had in my stash. To carry on the theme of the shaker on my card base, I used Distress Oxides to blend some blue shades onto the black cardstock. Next I flicked some gesso onto the top portion of the inked cardstock piece to represent stars. I added more of the City Block buildings to this piece as well. The final step was to heat emboss the sentiment and add that cute superhero pup to the tag!

Next up is a card featuring the Raccoon Cutie Die, the sentiment flag from Tag Builder Blueprints 7, and the Birthday Cake dies.

The Raccoon Cutie is soooo easy to put together! And he definitely is a cutie! I added some detail with Glossy Accents and white gel pen. A birthday cake, complete with shiny chocolate frosting, was the perfect complement to my little woodland friend's birthday greeting!

And finally, I couldn't resist using the City Block die again. When I first saw this die, I knew exactly what I wanted to do - create an awesome sky background. I broke out some orange, yellow, pink & red alcohol inks and created a gradient effect.

I adhered the City Block die in it's entirety, and then stamped the greeting (part of the new Spectacular Birthday stamp set) with Archival ink and added the gorgeous scripty Birthday Wishes die (this month's Free with $60 Die-namics).

More Than Words Can Say....Plus a SALE!

Good morning, crafty friends! Today I've got a colorful Valentine card to share with you, and I also wanted to let you know about an awesome sale over at Lil' Inker Designs!

I used the gorgeous Love You More Than Words die to create this card. I started by using a couple shades of alcohol ink on some Yupo paper, then I die cut the heart from the inked Yupo - super simple! I adhered the die cut onto a black background that I added the fun stitched heart detail to with the new Quilted Stitched All Hearts die. I used some of the leftover Yupo to create a mat for the stitched heart panel.

Lil' Inker Designs January Release - Day 3

Hi crafty friends! It's the third and final day of Lil' Inker Designs' January release inspiration blog hop. Don't forget to stop at each of the DT members' blogs and leave a comment on each blog post over the three days of the hop for a chance to win the entire release!

My first card features no stamping! Such a rarity, I know! I layered several of the new Sending My Love die cuts to get a nice, thick sentiment. I adhered this to a piece of pink cardstock along with the large heart from the Radiating Love Heart die and a small heart from the Perfect Palette die (which I coated in Glossy Accents for a ton of shine)! See those cute scallops? Those were created with the stitched hearts from the Perfect Palette die!

Next up a card using the Radiating Love Heart die. This is such a fun die, and there's a lot of things you can do with it! I ran the die through my die cutting machine three times - once right in the center, and then again on the edges for a partial "burst".

I die cut the heart from patterned paper and added it to the center of the stitched element. To finish this simple card, I adhered the Hugs die that was released last month - the bottom layer is vellum.

Lil' Inker Designs January Release - Day 2

Welcome back for day two of Lil' Inker Designs' January release!! Today I've got two cards to share with you - both featuring the newest quilted stitch die - All Hearts!

This first card features a new set called Perfect Pairs 2 - and I am so IN LOVE with it! The original Perfect Pairs was the first Lil' Inker set I ever purchased and it holds a special place in my heart - so I was absolutely thrilled to see a second set of those adorable little food couples! And - not only is there that new set of cuties, there is ALSO a sentiment set to go along with it called Perfect Pairs Additions! How awesome is that?

I used the Quilted Stitched All Hearts die on my card base, then added a background created by stamping several of the phrases found in the original Perfect Pairs, Perfect Pairs 2 and Perfect Pairs Additions. I colored the super cute milk & cookies with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating die. I added some Glossy Accents to the chocolate chips - love that shine! I adhered the sentiment strip and milk & cookies to the card front with foam adhesive to finish the card off.

Next up is a card featuring the new With Love word die, Perfect Palette Heart die and Heartthrob Stamps along with Quilted Stitched All Hearts.

I adhered a piece of white cardstock die cut with QS All Hearts across the front of a pink card base. I added the With Love sentiment, layered in pink & red cardstock. The large scale of this sentiment is perfection! I added some conversation hearts, die cut using the Perfect Palette Heart die and stamped with the sentiments from Heartthrob to finish off this card!

Lil' Inker Designs January Release - Day 1

Hello, hello! I'm super excited that I get to share with you some of the new products from Lil' Inker Designs' January release. There's lots of projects and inspiration to come over the next few days - and a pretty sweet chance to win the entire release, so be sure to check out the details at the bottom of this post!

I used several new products for this super cute card - the Bear Hugger stamp & die bundle and the Quilted Stitched All Hearts die. I love ALLLLL of LID's quilted stitched dies, and this one is one of my absolute favorites! You'll see a lot more of it tomorrow, lol!

I die cut and stamped the panda bear (you have the option to make a regular bear as well!) and used a glue dot to hold the lollipop in place. I added him to a Wonky Square die cut, placed on top of a black rectangle die cut with Quilted Stitched All Hearts.

Lil' Inker Designs December Release - Day 3

Hello! We've reached the final day of projects featuring Lil' Inker Designs' fabulous December release. I've used the Cozy Plaid stamp set in a different way today - and I kind of love it!

I stamped my background using the sketchy stripes included in the Cozy Plaid stamp set. I alternated inking in a bright blue and lime green. To be perfectly honest, I accidentally messed up the very last stamp, so rather than throw out what was (mostly) a great background, I decided to die cut into it. The Forever Heart die seemed like the perfect choice - it goes well with the awesome sentiment and it cut out the "ooops" I'd made, lol!!

I added that great layered sentiment from the new Hugs word die, and the supporting sentiment from Cozy Plaid was stamped and heat embossed on the Stitched Sentiment Flag. A few little scattered heart dies and stitched detail using a white gel pen finish up this card!

Lil' Inker Designs December Release - Day 2

Welcome back for day two of new-release inspiration featuring Lil' Inker Designs' adorable new December release! The theme of this months release is Cozy Winter, and this new die and the adorable penguin stamp set really fit the bill!

For my card today, I die cut the new Cover Up Die: Buffalo Plaid from white glitter paper. I adhered just a portion of the cut to a top folding purple card base - I plan to use the rest of the die cut on another card or tag the next time I'm crafting!

I stamped the super cute penguins and colored them in with Copic markers. Next, I die cut all of the images and adhered them to the card with liquid adhesive. I added the snow balls with a bit of foam tape for dimension!

Lil' Inker Designs December Release - Day 1

Hello! Lil' Inker Designs has a small but mighty release this month - just wait till you see all of the adorable winter themed goodies! So - much - cuteness!! You can find links for all of the items I've used at the bottom of this post. Check out the two cards I've created!

The new stamp set used for that adorable snowman mug is called Comfy Cocoa, and it coordinates perfectly with the previously released Coffee Talk 2 dies. I die cut the mug (from Coffee Talk 2) and added all of the snowman details. There's a super cute deer you can stamp as well - can't wait to get her inky next time I sit down to create!

The plaid on both of my cards today is a fantastic new background stamp called Cozy Plaid. Bet you thought that was patterned paper, huh?! I used my MISTI stamping tool to stamp these backgrounds so that I could get a really solid image by stamping twice. Love it! The sentiment in the first card was heat embossed. It's also included in the Cozy Plaid stamp set!

The sentiment on this card is from Comfy Cocoa. The Comfy Cocoa dies (the marshmallows, peppermint stick, whip, etc) are the perfect wintertime addition to the Coffee Talk mug, don't you think?! I love how the die for the whipped cream cuts so that you can stick the peppermint stick right in.....perfection!

Hello Winter Shaker Die

Hey there! Just dropping in today with another card using stamps & dies from Lil' Inker Designs' latest release! I love LID's shaker dies, and this mitten shaker is no exception!

I love the options included in this die set for the stitched detail of the mitten's cuff - it's great to have options, right?! And I thought this knit paper from Lawn Fawn was absolutely perfect for a mitten!

The snowflakes and sentiments are from the new Ready, Set, Snow stamp set. I can't wait to make more of these adorable mittens in a variety of colors!

CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Pear Tree Fri-Dies

Hi there! It's the final day of inspiration using the CAS-ual Fridays October release, and today I've got my favorite card of the release to share with you!! Woo-hoo!

We're introducing the companion Fri-die to the previoulsy released Partridge in a Pear Tree stamp set, and this die is FAB-U-LOUS! Look at all those tiny bits that you no longer have to fussy cut out, lol!

I cut off the gift box base so I could just use the tree portion. I colored it in with Copic markers and added some glitter to the pears and Glossy Accents to both the bird and the pears. I stamped the sentiment (I cut it apart) at the top and added a twine bow.
