Ann Arbor

I've been living in Ann Arbor for the past 8 years, 5 of them have been consecutive. My first two years I lived in the dorms and had to move home for the summer. The next five years lived in an apartment right across from campus. After that, I wanted to live closer to the downtown area so I moved into a house with roommates. I ended up here because of college. I went to Eastern Michigan University and once I graduated I decided to stay in the area. Ann Arbor is such a beautiful city with lots to offer. I wish I had known about some when I first started living here. I stayed here because Ann Arbor has so many events throughout the year. The Ann Arbor Art Fair is one of my favorite things to visit. Top of the Park is another happening. Sadly, for all the years I've lived here I haven't had the time to go. I went to school for Hotel and Restaurant management with a minor in nutrition, but am not working in that field. I worked in a restaurants and didn't really enjoy it, so I guess its not my thing.

After giving it much thought, I decided to start a blog. I've tossed this idea around for a long time, but never knew what I should or could write about. I have always enjoyed writing. I have many journals that I have kept over the years. My mind is always active so writing gives me that calming feeling. Years ago I wanted to write something and try to get it published in the “Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul” books, but never did. Maybe someday I will.
