Filmed at over 15 locations with multiple cameras including the Sony FS700 and GoPro Black at from rates up to 240fps. Canon L lenses – 14mm, 16-35mm, and 70-200mm.

Many shots were on steady-cam using the vest and single articulating arm. Cameras were mounted to: motorcycles, bicycles, SUV, helmets, 10 person limo and a skateboard.

We are filming part of a ‘Destination Sacramento” online video this Thursday, January 17^th in Downtown Sacramento and are looking for the following non-speaking Featured Extras:

1) A pair of motorcyclists with matching, or very similar, newer model motorcycles.

Sport-touring models are preferred. We are looking for riders who are physically fit, somewhat similar in height with similar riding gear. Can be male/female riding buddies, husband/wife, etc. Must be your own bikes and have proof of insurance.
We will be riding slowly, two abreast, thru a few streets in Sacramento, across the Tower Bridge, etc. for about 1.5 to 2 hours in total, from appx 12pm to 2pm. There is a small Featured Extra fee paid for each rider.

2) A well-dressed middle aged couple.

From 4:30pm to 6:30pm we will film you entering and exiting a limousine, driving thru Downtown Sacramento and then enjoying dinner at a nice restaurant. There is a nominal Featured Extra fee paid to each person.

These are non-speaking parts and we will direct you thru everything, no experience necessary. Just come prepared to have fun and dress warm!

Credit and an HD video file will be provided when the project goes live.

Tito Kayak, a well-known Puerto Rican civil and environmental activist, paddled ashore Vieques Island, Puerto Rico today as a stop on his lone high seas journey from Venezuela to Puerto Rico and then on to Washington, DC.

Kayak has been paddling since June 21, following the 1,500 km Route of the Arawacos, the historical path traveled by indigenous people from Venezuela to Puerto Rico.

The voyage is to protest the U.S. incarceration of Puerto Rican political prisoner Oscar López Rivera. More information is on the official Kayakeando por el Caribe website or on Facebook.

Tito Kayak, a well-known Puerto Rican civil and environmental activist, paddled ashore Vieques Island, Puerto Rico today as a stop on his lone high seas journey from Venezuela to Puerto Rico and then on to Washington, DC.

He is following the 1,500 km Route of the Arawacos, the historical path traveled by indigenous people from Venezuela to Puerto Rico.

The 1,500 kilometer solo voyage is  to protest the U.S. incarceration of Puerto Rican political prisoner Oscar López Rivera. López Rivera is said to be “among the longest held political prisoners in the history of Puerto Rico and in the world.”

Kayak first gained national recognition during the US Navy Protests in 1999 when natives and other prominent Puerto Ricans began protesting and occupying the test bombing ranges of Vieques Island.

Kevin Matta of Kinetic illusions was on the beach to interview Tito as he first touched ground.

This commercial video was filmed at the IMAX theater on K Street just days after the street became open to vehicle traffic for the first time in many years.

We used local actors and models along with music from the Sacramento band, Musical Charis for most of the TV and web spots. Produced and directed by Karl Alexander and Jeremiah Mayhew.

Our second season of original content creation

for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage began filming with two top agents in the Marin County region of California. Time lapse footage of ferries, mountain bike trails and beaches made this shoot plenty of fun. Actually hoping we need to film some pick-up interviews or additional b-roll to really taste some of those bike trails…

Lynnette Kling and Daunielle Cutting made director Karl Alexander’s job too easy with their smooth interviews and playful approach to what they do. A big thanks to both of them for having fun with the shoot!

The new season of videos will be released to an international audience on Coldwell Banker’s YouTube channel as well as be linked to their iPad app.

This morning we met up with Nicholas Alger and Asa Martinez of Hella Filming, a Sacramento-based radio controlled helicopter filming crew.

Their fleet is setup with specific rigs custom designed for chasing fast subjects, hovering via GPS waypoints and even interior filming.

Looking forward to incorporating these types of aerial shots into our upcoming corporate and commercial projects in Sactown!
