WHITE THREAD to sew the two main pieces together. It looks cheap and doesn't look like luxury bedding. Oh, just so you know, it's made in China (wish I had known before I placed the order).

(More customer reviews)This is a very pretty set, but I was very disappointed. First, it smelled very bad when I got it out of the plastic bag in which it was shipped. It had a very strong chemical smell from the bag. It was so strong, I had to take it to the laundromat to try and wash it out. But, it's very pretty and delicate as well, and commercial grade washer/dryers took a bit of a toll on the satin trim on the pillows. Also, the smell didn't come out entirely. But the worst part, is that it is not the color it shows in the picture. It's actually more of a Robin's Egg blue, than a powder blue. As a result; it didn't really match the decor in the room where I wanted to use it, and since I washed it--I can't send it back. Bummer, because it's very, very, pretty.

(More customer reviews)This product is "Ok". It is on the cheap side which I am only disappointed in myself for purchasing. Consumers have to learn that anything made in China is of cheap quality. Also the coloring is a little off from the picture. It appeared that there was some mauve in the comfortor, which is why I purchased it, but instead it is beige.
It makes more sense to wait and spend more money on better quality items, especially for something as important as your bedroom which is your ultimate space of comfort and relaxation.

The faux fur is not rough, but it is not extremely soft. I find it very comfortable. The quality is not extremely high, but it is very good for the price. Don't worry about it falling apart on you or the fabric feeling really cheap, but it is obviously not extremely high quality either. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the quality and comfort for the price listed. I'm sure this comforter set will last me a long time!

If you're looking for inexpensive sheets and don't mind that, ok.. but you're better off waiting for clearance sheets from other retailers that have a higher thread count.

(More customer reviews)We've had a TH queen bedding set for 3 years and in the first year and a half all the stuffing in the comforter has fallen to the outer edges; not comforting on a cold winter night. Also, the fitted sheet became worn in one spot that it actully frayed, not along a seam, but in the middle of the fabric. It was as if I had rubbed my heel all night every night in one spot until the fabric became so thin it literally fell apart. Pure junk for the money.

The quality of the comforter is superior and it has barely shed in the month we've had it. The comforter gets a little too toasty on some Summer days, but I can use it with the AC on. This will be great for Pittsburgh winters!
Most down comforters of this quality are over $200. I've found a few in the past that have been under $100 but they do not have the same fill power or the superior stitching this comforter has. It is really super soft and I'm sad that I had to put it in a cover.
Washing Instructions:
Wash in a gentle cycle in cold/warm water.
Do not add fabric softener.
Tumble dry

(More customer reviews)I desperately needed a new bed set for my king bed. I was on a budget and I chose this one to try to match my existing pillow cases, and bought some sheets I thought would correspond to the colors. I DID read other reviewers warn that the colors are "darker" than shown. I figured a deeper pink & purple wouldn't make a huge difference in terms of planning the decor around it. HOWEVER:
The photo in the listing is nowhere REMOTELY near the same colors as the bedding I received. The colors are a pea soup sage green, deep, dark burgundy, and dark magenta. The reverse side and trim are a tawny caramel brown. The colors make my already dark, wood-paneled room look extra dark, claustrophobic & dreary. I'm pretty sure the bedding shown here isn't even the same product. I mean, maybe if you soaked the whole set in bleach for a day, that is what it would wind up looking like... Anyway, long story short, it doesn't really go with my sheets or pillow cases which is a huge bummer. Also, there were one or two small snags in the fabric right out of the bag. (my cats will probably shred it within a week) It is pretty clearly chinese sweat-shop work, which is depressing in and of itself.
Additionally, the comforter is not exactly of generous proportions, and it just barely fits my bed, with not as much blanket as I would like hanging over the mattress. CERTAINLY not as generous and shown in the photo above, where the comforter cascades down the side of the bed. On the bright side, if I down-grade to a Queen bed in the future, it will still fit nicely.
I'm a very easy-going shopper. I can think of maybe one time I have ever returned an item I bought online, and that is because it was just plain broken, but I seriously considered sending this back. I finally decided against it because I have a duvet cover from an old color scheme that happens to match it perfectly, and I'm eager to use it. But was this really worth the 90 precious bucks I spent on it? 40 maybe, 50 is pushing it. But 90? Not hardly.

And, unfortunately an oversight of mine is that it was of satin material, which works well to dress up the bed and helps the bedroom look nice, but not to actually sleep with because it slides off the bed and if you're sitting on the edge of the bed, you're for sure to slip off also. By the following year when I moved in with my fiancee, nearly every seem had popped. The accessories were well made, as well as the shams and bed skirt, but the comforter was WELL past cheaply made.

The only con is the underside of the comforter.. the fuzzy down stuff comes out of the underside fabric in thin threads until you wash it. Other than that I love this set.

(More customer reviews)I bought this comforter in red. I am going to order another in white. It is wrinkled. Very wrinkled. But I think the wrinkles add to the character. It doesn't look like the picture. In the photo it was obviously steamed to within an inch of its life. Which is unfortunately misleading, but the comforter is really beautiful. It does run a little small so you will want to order up a size. Also it is the kind of cotton (sorry I don't know much about fabric) that picks up a lot of lint and pet hair.
I'm really pleased with the purchase.

When I first opened up the box I thought it felt odd, so I washed the comforter and when I did so, i could see right through it and could see a few feathers, but not many because it's filled with plastic, which makes this the heaviest comforter I have slept under.

It's super-snuggly but lightweight so it will make a great year-round comforter for us. It's well-made and just a great value.
