Great speakers this month!!!

We have two judges, one civil and one criminal court. They are going to be speaking on why your vote is so important when it comes to judges and how judges can impact our daily lives and our community as a whole. They are going to be giving us examples to use with voters as talking points when we block walk in Oct. They have been asked to explain the real life ruling differences between liberal and conservative judges here in Houston.

The two judges are:

Judge Lynn Bradshaw-Hull
for 280th District Court

Tuesday, 8/24 – Harris County Voter Registrar holds a Press Conference to present evidence of massive voter registration fraud perpetrated by Houston Votes. King Street Patriots, through our True the Vote effort, also presents evidence of voter fraud.

Friday, 8/27
@ approx. 4am – the warehouse holding all Harris County’s voting equipment burns down in a three alarm fire.
@ approx. 10am – Houston Votes holds a press conference and releases this statement.
@ approx. 11am – King Street Patriots holds a press conference. Channel 39 retells the story here.   Later that same day stories appear on Drudge Report, Election Law Center, and Breitbart.

Sunday, 8/29 – True the Vote is the subject of a story in Huffington Post.   For those of you who have participated with any King Street program, who volunteer for True the Vote, or who come to our general meetings and watch us pass a cowboy hat to raise funds, you’re sure to be amused by their characterization of our organization.

What happens next? From our perspective, it’s very simple. We keep doing what we are doing. The True the Vote effort is not about party, it’s not about politics. It’s about citizens coming together and working to restore honor and integrity to our elections.

True the Vote was started because of the problems we witnessed firsthand at our polls. When we see an epidemic shortage of pollworkers, when we watch election code laws be broken time and again, when we discover people are registered to vote at vacant lots – when we know for a fact these things are happening, we must do something about it. How can we not? To turn a blind eye to the problem would be a complete betrayal of ourselves and our fellow citizens.

The True the Vote initiative will not stop. The attacks will come, in fact are already coming, but we will not stop. Everyone deserves the right to a free and fair election. Period.

URGENT need for Early Vote Clerks and Early Vote Poll Watchers

Early Vote CLERKS
Monday October 18th – Friday October 29th. (every day, including the weekend).
Must be available for the entire period.

Previous experience as an election clerk preferred, but not a requirement (training provided).
Must be registered to vote in Harris County.
You will work with a Republican supervisor and 4 other Clerks.
This is a paid position.

RSVP to pollwatcher@truethevote.org if you are available. Provide your name and address as it appears on your Voter Registration card. . Indicate you are available as a Clerk, and your history as a clerk, (i.e past Election Day experience or New – needs training)

Early Vote POLL WATCHERS
Monday October 18th – Friday October 29th.
Poll Watching can be worked in single day shifts.
You do not need to commit to the entire early voting period.
Must be registered to vote in Harris County.
You will work with a team of 2 to 10 True The Vote Poll watchers. Poll Watcher training provided.
This is not a paid position.
