I am just about done the first 7 days of P90X With Day 5 and 6 in the books all I have left now is Day 7 to complete the week. Day 7 is just a day to rest or to do Stretch X which ever you want to do its completely up to you. Going into Day 5 I was ready to go after doing the Yoga class on day 4 I wasn’t to tired. A few of my muscles were sore from all yoga work on Day 4 but I was ready to get it done on Day 5. I felt in good shape and I was ready to go!

Day 5 was Leg’s & Back and also a session of ab ripper X after wards. My legs were a little bit stiff but I somehow got through the workout. I may not have worked as hard as tony and other people did but I felt like I had a good work out. There are a lot of different things you do to work out different muscles in your leg + back which makes this such a great work out.

Day 6 was Kempo X, I didn’t feel that comfortable going into it basically because I didn’t know what was going on and it was happening so quick. By the end of it I seemed to catch on and it was all good. I drank a lot of water with this one as you are moving pretty quick. I havent been using the p90x workout drink like they suggest you do. After each workout I have a glass of choclate milk. Milk has a lot of nutrients in it. A good source of calcium and it gives you some calories after your workout to help your body keep burning calories.

I want to keep this update short. I might switch to providing shorter updates every day then holding off for two days. Or I might just do 3 days at once. I havent quite decided yet.

Time sure flies by when you are having a blast! On Day 3 I was experiencing some soreness from day one. Its hard to believe but it was hard to get out of bed in the morning. I had to go to a revenue house and install a bathtub surround kit. This kept me moving and loosened up my muscles which I think was a good thing. I didn’t get much sleep after workout 2 as I had to get up early to go get that work done and boy did I ever notice the lack of sleep!

After the work was finished I came home and just went to and rested in bed. I don’t think I slept but the rest was all I needed. My abs were a little sore from day 1 but I knew I had to work them out because it was Shoulder & Arms day. After I was done the shoulder and Arms I was going to have to do the abs video as well. I was a little stiff going into it but I was going to try and do the best that I could do.

I started out with several weights realizing I picked a weight that was to heavy to start out with after starting I just hit the paused button and went and grabbed a few more dumbbells with different weight’s on them. That’s the nice thing about the video you can just quickly pause it and get something if you are missing it. I had a total of six dumbbells that I was using. A lot of people just use the bands but they are not really my thing. I had a great work out and only felt a bit of soreness on day 4.

Day 4 is Yoga, I am not the most flexible person in the word but I was going to give it my best. When I started the video I saw on the timer that it was just a bit over a hour and a half long. I was not looking forward to this at all. Once I got into it the time went by pretty quick except at the beginning I had a headache so I hit the pause button and grabbed a couple of Advil and got back and continued the yoga video. My headache seemed to go away pretty quick which was great.

By the end of the video I was surprised at how flexible I had gotten. Keep in mind I wasn’t flexible at all before I started. Now I couldn’t but my hands flat on the ground standing up or anything but I noticed I was more flexible then when I started. I would still say its not my favorite one to do but I will do it again next time anyways!

Today I am on Leg’s & Back as well as a 15 minute ab workout after that is complete. I will keep you updated and let you know how it goes. I am pretty excited to work my Legs because I need them to be stronger for wakeboarding this summer. Seeing how I will be out at the lake on holidays in less than I month I better kick it into high gear!

I have chosen to use P90X as my workout plan. Its probably the best rated program out there and so far I like what I see! I started day one a few days ago but have not had time until today to write about it. More on that in a little bit. If you are completely lost on this post I suggest you check out my previous post on how easy it is to get out of shape. Day 1 and 2 were pretty exciting because I have never done something like this before!

I started this workout with an open mind. I consider my self in decent shape. I guess you could say slightly above normal and I took the tests that come with the program to see if you should start it or if you should try to get in better shape first. After taking the test I met all the minimum requirements but I didn’t exceed them. I knew I was in store for a pretty good workout after just doing the basic test..

The first day you have to work out your chest & back. After you complete that work out which is about 55 minutes long you have to do 15 minutes of ab work. Its quite a bit when your not used to working out. By the time I got to the ab workout I was completely wasted. Somehow I got it done. I didn’t do as much as they did in the video but my abs sure felt like they were worked once I was done. When it was all complete I felt like I had a great workout.

On the second day I was a little bit stiff but not to bad. The 2nd day is plyometrics. Its a lot of work and there is a lot of leg and but work which just happens to be my week spot! I got through the whole thing and must have drank about 3 bottles of water but it sure felt great when I was done. I was completely exhausted and couldn’t wait for a rest. I was already getting pretty excited for day 3.

Before I started my workout on Day 2 I did some reading online about P90X and got a lot of motivation from it. I hope someone reads this and if they do I just want to let them know they they can do it. They can BRING IT. No matter how tired you are or may be. You must go on! You can do it!

Its a pretty simple problem. We all gain weight and its hard for us to shed the pounds. Its hard to lose weight when all you do is sit around everyday. No matter what you do you are gaining calories and are not burning them very well.

One of the bigger reasons why the weight scale goes up instead of staying the same or going down is because of our diets. This is especially true if you used to work a physically demanding job before you got into the online stuff or office work. When you used to have a physically demanding job you had to eat a lot more to keep your energy levels up and you burnt it all off doing all the physical work. That’s my biggest downfall right there.

I used to work in construction. We used to do a little bit of everything, including siding, roofing, painting, yard work etc. This was a very physical job and I could eat pretty much whatever I wanted to. Then when I moved indoors I really started to notice the pounds pack on. Not so much the pounds but my muscle was disappearing and pounds were taking its place.

As you get older you will find you get less and less activity. You don’t get out as much with the guys to play a game of football, soccer, catch, hockey and other activities that you used to do when you were in high school. If you think about it in high school even if you didn’t participate in extra curricular activities at least you attended Gym class!

Over the last few years I have struggled with my weight. At my best I was 171 pounds and at my worst I was 190 pounds. That’s a pretty big difference of over 20 pounds. Now you might be thinking wow this guy must be fat. But I and 6 feet tall so its not as bad as if I was only say 5’8” or something like that.

I currently sit at 175 pounds. Its hard to believe but it can fluctuate during a week + or – 2 pounds. I am alright with my current weight but I would like to get rid of a few extra pounds and get my muscles more toned. I am going to be starting a workout program for 90 days. It’s going to be 6 days on 1 day off but on that day off I will still be active but not as active as one of those other 6 days.

My goal isn’t to lose weight but it is to lose fat and get more body muscle. Over the next little while I will be posting updates to let everyone know how its going for me and to maybe give someone else the motivation to start. Getting in shape is the ultimate goal here. I have taken some before pictures and I will be taking picture updates every 30 days. All the pictures will be posted when the 90 day workout marathon is completed! Maybe you will start a marathon to work out with me?

I only leave about 8 km away from work but it takes a half hour during peak times. I guess a half hour would really be average. Sometimes its longer and sometimes it’s shorter. The worst I have had was a hour long commute home. Now when you only live less than 8 km away and its taking you the better part of a hour to get home that’s pretty bad. I would be fine communiting if I could get on the road and drive 50 – 60 km a hour but when your driving in bumper to bumper traffic at 10 km a hour it is pretty fusturating..

I know a lot of people have it way worse than I do so I probably shouldn’t event complain! I guess the big thing really drove me to making this post was that yesterday I was driving to work and they closed the second busiest street in our city with out even telling us about it. That’s a bad job on the cities part. What kind of planning is that? All of a sudden everyone was hooking off on side streets trying to get to work on time because no one knew that the street was shut down.

What made it worse was they just shut it down right before the bridge that goes under the tracks and to get around it you have to drive 10 city blocks to the next main intersection. It made me late for work but it also made by boss late so it wasn’t to bad. How long is your commute to and from work every day? Is it worse in the morning? Or is it worse on the drive home? For me its definitely on the way home. But I guess who is really in a hurry to get to work in the morning right?

I am seeing all these message from tweeter’s saying that they received 100 new followers a day by going to such and such a url. If you are getting followers by doing something like that they are probably not very good followers to begin with!

I guess basically this post is just to say I will never be one of those spammers as I do not agree with it. Sure you may make a little bit of money from it but is it really worth it? You will be making your real followers mad by all the spam. Who wants to go on twitter to see 10 messages like that in a row? I know I sure don’t.

I guess all I am saying is I will be unfollowing all these people that do this kind of stuff. I am also saying twitter needs to implement something where you can only have a url in your tweets every 10 tweets or something to reduce all the nonsense.

How do you feel about twitter spam?

It was nice to have a break from the flow of things and to just sit back and to do basically nothing. Sometimes taking a break can be a good thing. You don’t want to burn your self out. I did a few things on my break such as get back in to ppc affiliate marketing and just update a few of my other sites that I have been neglecting.

Of course lets not forget the biggest time consumers of what I did on my week off. The thing that took up the majority of my time was sleeping. I usually sleep from 12:00 to 7:30. A lot of people recommend 8 hours of sleep and I usually get close to 7 1/2. I am not to sure if an extra half hour would help me out at all or not. I suppose I could try it but I think I have enough energy now at 7 1/2 hours. Sometimes I go to bed at 2 and get up at 7:30 and I can barely function. This took up almost the biggest period of my day but there was something else that took even more time.

My full time job. I work 8 hours a day 5 days a week. You may know the routine. I also have to commute a half out each way so this totals about 9 hours. Now we can not forget about my lunch break which is 45 minutes and if I work 21 minutes extra every day I get a day off with pay every month. This brings it up to about 10 hours.

With sleeping and going to work it leaves me about 6.5 hours to do whatever it is I want to do before I have to start everything over for the next day. 6.5 hours is not a lot of time when you factor in that you still have to make supper and then eat it! It is really not a lot of time if you want to go to a sporting event or watch a couple of TV shows. If you watch two shows you are down to 4.5 hours but say you go to a hockey game and watch your shows when you come home from the game that takes another 2.5 hours I am only left with 2 hours.

Time is a funny thing. It keeps going by and there is nothing we can do to slow it down or speed it up. I guess you can say I am pretty set in my schedule during the week except for the 6.5 hours that I can do what ever it is that I want to do. Are you set in your routine?

They are not sure why they are failing but they are. A lot of people are setting them selves up for failure while they are planning their site with out even knowing it. A lot of people set their sites up to fail subconsciously.

You might be wondering by now how can people set them selves up to fail. It happens pretty easy, I fail quit a bit when I set up a site and have learned a lot from those experiences. People think to big right away all the time. They think that their site is going to grow over night but it doesn’t happen like that.

Some people I know who were pretty successful bloggers and wrote quality posts every day tried to start selling advertising on their sites. They priced the ad spots way to high as there was no demand. This set them up for failure.

If you think about it and it was your site and you worked really hard at it I am sure you would like to make a little bit of money off it. However when you put up the ad spots at $100.00 a month with no one currently advertising no one was interested. There was no demand so the spots shouldn’t have been set at such a high price.

These are the same people that will start a new site and do the same thing and set them selves up to fail when there is new revenue coming in they give up on the project. Does this sound like you? Have you ever set your self up to fail?

I then let the site go downhill as I really didn’t have a passion for it. It just got to the point where I didn’t want to run the site anymore. I think if I would have stuck with it I would have been generating a lot more money by now but I can’t look back and say could have should have because what’s done is done.

I recently threw up the Adsense code on a couple of my sites and I am pretty happy with how its performing. While I do not have any crazy numbers to report I can say its increasing every day. I am continually trying to improve my Adsense positioning so I can get the most clicks out of it. I haven’t found the perfect spot yet so I am still playing with the code.

I like how things have changed and the Adsense site it self has evolved and it is actually pretty nice to work with now compared to how it used to be. You can now generate custom reports, it will give you suggestions and all kinds of other features that it never had years ago.

Do you use adsense on your sites? Do you use it on your blog? I have been thinking of adding it here but I am not sure yet.

Since Facebook owns the rights to them do you have to ask facebook if you can own copies of them? Can you take them to Wal-mart and print them off? I wouldn’t think so since you don’t own them anymore. Its kind of a weird thing. I know they are just doing it to cover there buts but it makes me feel kind of weary.

If someone ever bought facebook they have my whole life story on there and could use it against me or sell it to someone else and they could steal my identity. Its kind of scary that a website can change its terms of service and by logging in your agree to those terms even if you didn’t know they changed.

Its a little bit concerning and I am considering leaving facebook or avoiding updating any content on it. How do you feel about facebooks’ new terms of service? Have you closed down your account?
