The Tonya is a hips-only sex doll with both a vaginal and anal penetratable canal. Its real claim to fame is its absolutely unbelievable level of realism, but the fact that it’s made from silicone (instead of TPE or TPR) is also really notable as well. Don’t worry. We’ll get into all of that below.

The Yeloly Tonya is impressively lifesized. All 30.8 pounds of this sex doll went entirely into a lifesized silicone design that is actually wider than my partner in real-life. These are sex doll proportions that could actually exist on a human being (a rare one that small, but still!). The sex doll has a waist circumference of 24.41″ and a thighs-spread-wide circumference of 45.67″. When laid flat, the sex doll footprint takes up 17.72″ (width) x 13″ (height).

Rare in the sex doll world, the Yeloly Tonya is a silicone sex doll. It does not have any posable limbs, and it does not have a metal/plastic core. It is a literal hunk of entirely silicone.

My Tonya sex doll has the default vagina and anal set up. They are two separate internal channels with two completely different textures. Both the vaginal and anal canal have a usable depth of 5.9″. They are close-ended.

The Yeloly Tonya sex doll pictured is the Fair coloration with no additional modifications. The sex doll, as pictured, is how it arrived. It did have multiple divots in the doll’s material upon first arrival, but they have not affected use, and I honestly forget they’re there.

THE REALISM!

It is impossible to overstate how gorgeously realistic the Yeloly Tonya is. Absolutely impossible.

Upon first opening the doll, I saw a small speck on the skin. I tried to rub it off, only to realize that it was actually a birthmark freckle built into the doll’s surface.

As I continued to look over the Tonya sex doll, I noticed that it had realistic skin texturing throughout the back and thighs. The doll looks like she’s slightly chilly with those very light skin goosebumps that pop up.

Of course, that’s before I even started looking at the vulva and bum. You know how some manufacturers phone it in on the actual orifice.

There is zero phoning it in with the Tonya.

I sent a picture of the doll’s vulva to multiple kinky friends, and 4 out of 5 thought I was announcing I had met and was playing with a new woman.

The vulva looks that realistic.

The skin texturing on the vulva turns it up to 11 with ultra-textured outer labia. The sex doll’s coloring is darker here, matching the usual genital darkening. The sex doll has a clitoris (it’s small and looks unaroused, but there!), and it even has “skin folds” of the thighs and lower butt near where the vulva rests in-between the thighs.

I will note: it looks like a “picture perfect porn star” vulva though. There’s very little skin darkening. There is no stubble, and it has no hair follicles. The inner labia are tucked so perfectly in-between the outer labia. (This is the standard configuration. If you’re really into a different skin blush tint or pubic hair, they can added onto your doll at checkout.)

But it’s a labia that could actually exist in the real-world. You’d want to be waxed or have laser hair removal, and your genetics and skin would be a large factor, but this sex doll’s appearance could be on someone who is just out and existing in the world. It’s insane. Sex dolls never offer this level of realism.

The anus isn’t quite as detailed, but I’ll be honest: the human anus isn’t much to really look at. With that in mind, the Tonya sex doll does a great job. The opening features mini skin folds (just like the real thing) with a darker coloration as you get closer to the entrance.

The only unrealistic thing about the vulva and anus is the fact that Tonya’s anus just stays as an open hole while at rest. It’s not a huge deal and didn’t affect the immersion for my partner or I, but in a sex doll that’s so ultra-realistic that I have virtually nothing to nitpick, it’s worth noting. The skin around the anus does not close up or touch itself; it stays in this opened, hole-like look.

It wasn’t until I brought the Tonya doll to a class full of hotel takeover attendees (my G-spot and P-Spot class!) and invited them up to handle and touch the doll that I learned even more. A couple of students pointed out that the doll has veins, and yep, it does. There are very, very light blue veins that run underneath the sex doll’s surface. They’re almost impossible to see if you’re looking for them, but they’re definitely there. Look in the photo above on the thigh.

This is a level of realism that’s just plain unheard of with sex dolls in this price range. Just unheard of. We own a good 10 sex dolls now, and not a single one shares this level of realism despite being in a similar price range.

The marketing photos aren’t just marketing hype. The Yeloly Tonya really does look that lifelike. I am beyond amazed.

Yeloly Tonya Review: The Silicone Material

At first, I thought the Tonya was a TPE/TPR material like most sex dolls. At first grip, it had a bit of a film on it (standard for those TPE/TPR dolls), but now, I’ve realized was the sheen of the releasing agent they used to get the Tonya sex doll out of its original mold.

Very unique in the world of sex dolls, the Yeloly Tonya is a silicone sex doll.

I was worried it might be a tackier type of silicone. It isn’t. It’s still a plushier silicone, though, so you aren’t gliding your hands across it like silk, but I’ve had dildos that have grippier, “tackier” surfaces than the Tonya sex doll does.

There is no scent to the Tonya sex doll. We did try licking it, and yep, no taste either. (This is a huge benefit if you’re someone with an oral sex fetish. We’ve tried oral sex play on some of our TPR and TPE sex dolls, and we just cannot get over the taste. The lack of any taste on the Tonya is a huge win here, perfect for any oral sex training plans.)

The silicone material does pick up more hair and lint than its TPE and TPR counterparts. After toting it around a conference center and between multiple beds, I had to pick off multiple hairs and fuzzes from the sex doll’s material before photographing it. That isn’t an issue I usually have with other TPE/TPR sex dolls.

When we use TPE/TPR sex dolls, we always use them with a blanket to avoid their TPE material “off-gassing” and leaving oils on the surfaces we put them on. We have yet to have any issues with this silicone sex doll. While our TPE dolls have made cardboard soggy and completely flattened a shoebox due to oils seeping into the cardboard from the doll, the silicone has yet to leave any off-gassing oils. This, alone, is a big enough benefit to consider silicone sex dolls going forward.

Be aware that silicone still retains some of the same fragility of most TPE and TPR sex dolls. Be very careful while handling it – especially if you’re someone with rough fingers, calloused hands, or long fingernails. It’s not all that hard to slice or divot your sex doll. The sex doll nerds among us have learned an easy trick: put cloth gloves on before handling your sex doll for the safest experience. If you aren’t going that deep (I don’t), try to cradle the sex doll in your forearms more than digging your fingers into its soft flesh for less risky maneuvering.

However, if the Yeloly Tonya is made from 100% silicone (and I’ll be honest that I’m not sure if it’s a blend or if it’s pure silicone), the Tonya will outlast every other TPE/TPR sex doll you own. That’s the big benefit of silicone. It has a ridiculously long life span. I have silicone dildos from twenty years ago that are still going strong. (Most TPE/TPR sex toys have a lifespan of around a year-ish of regular use. They dry out.)

If you’re lucky enough to share the Tonya with others, silicone can also be sanitized. TPR/TPE can not. It’s going to be hard to sanitize the interior canals of the Tonya sex doll, but it is technically possible. If you have some kinks for sharing your sex toys with others, this is another reason to choose a silicone sex doll over some of the alternatives.

Assuming the Tonya is 100% silicone, only your own handling and cleaning will send the sex doll to a grave. You’ll be more likely to tear it (or allow moisture stay inside, causing mold) before the material itself will degrade.

If you’re someone who takes meticulous care of your sex dolls and does really thorough cleaning, a 100% silicone sex doll will last you way, way, way longer than a TPE or TPR sex doll will. It’s an investment in a sex doll to last you a long time versus a temporary one.

That being said, through no fault of its own, silicone is simply less jiggly. This is actually a great thing for handling (and I’ll talk about that next), but for use, you won’t get the same flesh ripples that you do with TPE/TPR. The material is firmer. It feels a bit more like sex with a strong, very-toned body versus a softer, jiggly one.

I’ve tried to showcase the level of jiggle with GIFs above in this Yeloly Tonya review. The doll will bounce around a bit, but the material will not show that “rippling” across all of the fatty areas like a different material would.

We’re happy to make that trade-off for a sex doll that can go for oral sex and will last longer, but it’s something to note.

Moving the Tonya Around

The Tonya sex doll is slightly over 30 pounds in weight. It’s not a heavy sex doll, but it’s not a light one either.

That 30 pounds feels even more unwieldy with the sex doll’s impressive width. With a hip circumference at 45″ inches, the Tonya sex doll has (literal) life-like hips that are probably wider than some human partners that you’ve had.

The silicone material helps a lot here. Unlike TPE/TPR, the Tonya sex doll doesn’t “jello” as much in your hands. The silicone material has a higher firmness and structure to it, so while it feels heavy, it also feels solid. It feels a bit more like moving a heavy pile of clothing inside of a perfectly-packed plastic bag. You know it’s heavy, but it also stays where you put it without wobbling all over the place.

My favorite way to move the Tonya is by literally “scooping” the sex doll up. Wherever the doll is at, I’ll scoop my forearms underneath its thighs on either side to pick it up. This keeps my fingernails off the sex doll and bypasses the fact that the sex doll’s width is wider than my little hands can easily manage. “Cradling” the doll like this to move it makes everything go more smoothly.

With all of that in mind, the Tonya does not appear to have any internal skeleton. There is no firm metal core inside of the doll. It’s a sturdy, medium-density silicone material all the way through. With no posable limbs, the Tonya’s shape is also exactly what you get. This means you’ll need to be able to move the doll around with its body exactly how it looks.

If you’re someone who wants to have your sex doll on top, be aware you’ll need to be able to lift 30 pounds up and down. More than just the weight, though, you’ll need to find somewhere to “grip” the doll to pick it up and down. That lifelike circumference means that the sex doll has real “width” to it. Getting your hands wrapped around that waist or hips and simultaneously not digging your fingernails into the sex doll’s surface is really difficult. If you have extra-large hands, this might be less of an issue for you, but I wear size Large medical gloves, and I still have no idea how I’d handle this doll to easily lift it up and down without getting my nails dug into it. We’ve given quite a few good faith tries for this Yeloly Tonya review, but I still can’t figure it out.

(But y’know, its your sex doll. If you don’t want to worry about digging in your fingers, you don’t have to. It’s your possession. I don’t want to hurt mine.)

Yeloly Tonya Review: How Does It Feel?

Unexpectedly, the Yeloly Tonya’s silicone doesn’t feel like a TPE sex doll either. We both thought the silicone would only make a difference for visuals, material durability, and storage, but no, it actually impacts use too.

That is, silicone is a much firmer material than TPE and TPR. That means that the texturing inside of the anal and vaginal tunnels is much more pronounced.

i.e. the Tonya feels way more orgasmically textured than most of our other sex dolls.

Whether that’s a good thing will depend on you. It brings out some of our premature ejaculation kink because it’s so stimulating as soon as he slides inside. Within minutes, he could already get off.

He says this is as close as he’s gotten in a sex doll to some of the most-stimulating Fleshlights out there. This sex doll happens to pack both ridiculously hot visuals and a pretty intensely stimulating interior.

In a flip from most sex dolls, he also finds the anal tunnel to be looser than the vaginal tunnel. The vaginal tunnel was a snug (but not uncomfortably so!) squeeze that really exacerbated that ultra-textured pleasure. Through our Yeloly Tonya review period, he’s found that he can last longer if he slides into the butt.

For play, he found the tunnels of both holes to be at a good angle for sliding inside. The anal one feels more naturally angled if we flip the sex doll into an ass-up, doggy style position, but it’s been accessible from both lying sex doll positions.

He also would like me to point out that it’s easier to get rough with this sex doll than a TPE one. The silicone hip material feels easier to grip; it stays in his hands better and feels as close to “grabbing a real person’s hips” as he’s felt in a sex doll. Softer TPE/TPR materials make it harder to get a really good, stable grip on the doll. The firm silicone material of the Tonya feels a bit like gripping onto someone’s muscular thigh; it feels pretty natural in the hands and doesn’t “wiggle out” from underneath your fingers like softer material does.

Using this Sex Doll for Oral Sex Play

I actually am really fond of using sex dolls for femdom play. In particular (as you’ve probably noticed in my Locktober calendar and other spots), I love using them for edging and oral sex practice.

The Yeloly Tonya is probably the best sex doll out there for oral sex play. The silicone material is odorless and tasteless, making for a much smoother experience than TPE or TPE materials. TPE and TPR materials can have a tackiness and medical flavor that is pretty rough to get through.

Instead, with the Tonya, you get a neutral-taste experience. It just kinda tastes a bit like licking taste-free rubber. You get the rubber-y feel on your tongue, but there’s no taste with it, making for some of the most realistic oral sex play you can get. Add that into how realistic the Tonya looks – even with your face buried between its legs, and you get a really cool, lifelike oral sex training sex doll.

Tonya’s inner labia are relatively short and rest next to the outer labia. It’s not possible to get your tongue “in-between” the folds of labial skin you can see. Your tongue will mostly hang out near the vaginal entrance and can take some licking stops near the very-visible clitoris.

While the sex doll has no taste to it, you can add flavored lube if you need a bit of a distraction from the feel of rubber on your tongue. We’ve been experimenting with different flavored lubes to find one that feels as realistic as possible. Right now, we’ve been experimenting with Sutil in Coconut; it tastes a bit like someone’s lotion/cleanser was coconut scented, but it does distract from the rubber sensation on the tongue without just tasting like straight fake sugar.

(To be clear, the rubber sensation on the tongue isn’t bad; it’s just not human skin. We’re exploring ways to help distract the brain so that it focuses less on the sensation not matching up and thinks more about the flavor.)

Discreet Packaging

Gigantic, heavy sex toys like this can be hard to safely ship. It’s easier for boxes to tear and toys to get injured.

For my Yeloly Tonya review, the Yeloyl Tonya came packaged in two boxes. The outermost shipping box is plain brown with requests for the package to stay right side up.

Just in case something happens to that outer box mid-transit, inside this first box is a second box. This second box is the Yeloly-branded, bright-blue box. The Yeloly logo is not explicit, so you’d still have a bit of plausible deniability if something were to expose some of this interior box. It has two layers of discreet protection (though the bright blue does catch more eyes than the plain brown outermost box).

Opening the blue Yeloly box leads to a piece of styrofoam that has been covered in grey tissue paper. This styrofoam “lid” can be removed from the box to show the sex doll in transparent, must-be-ripped-open plastic bagging. The sex doll sits on top of the other styrofoam siding, providing cushioning to get the sex doll to you safely.

The Yeloly Tonya does not include any sort of long-term storage case or bag. You can keep this blue box for long-term storage if you’d like, but it is, again, a bright blue box. If desired, the styrofoam pieces will remove from the box for storing these pieces in any other container or box as well.

I do find it hilarious that the shipping box notes “Team Lift” for mail carrier associates. Presumably, when you have this lifelike sex doll hips at home, you’re going to be single-lifting it quite a bit.

My Vibrator Won’t Turn On! What’s Wrong with It?

Well, crap. You just bought a new toy, and it won’t turn on. Especially as sex toys get more complicated, figuring out why a vibrator won’t turn on becomes a little bit more convoluted. But don’t worry: I’m here to help!

In order, try these steps:

1) Read the instruction book or packaging. I know, I know, nobody likes reading that tiny print. Sometimes, though, it’ll show you a different way to insert the batteries, or it might tell you that the vibrator has the “Smart Silence” feature that means the vibrator will not turn on unless it’s pressed to your bits. Almost all rechargeable vibrators come with a guide, so poke into it to see what it has to say. A lot of your initial problems can be solved by just reading the instruction manual. (One time I was convinced my vibrator was broken. Turns out it had an initial charge time of 16 hours. It just had an uncharged battery on arrival. There’s no way I would have known that without the instruction manual.)

1A) Read the online manual. Nowadays, some manufacturers only include some half-ass, 3-illustration “book” to save on manufacturing costs with a QR code to a full booklet online. If reading the printed manual didn’t work, try the QR-code manual. It might mention a travel lock or other feature you didn’t know about.

2) If you have a rechargeable toy, try to charge it. Some rechargeable toys come travel locked. A Travel Lock is a “feature” that prevents the toy from turning on without pressing some obscure combination of buttons. This prevents vibrating boxes for manufacturers and retailers. Down the line, for your use, it means you can avoid alarming TSA when traveling. Most toys automatically disengage “Travel Lock” once they’re placed on the charger. Double-check that instruction manual again, too. It’ll include that obscure button combination to disengage Travel Lock.

2A) Fully charge up the toy. While most manufacturers send toys out of their factory with a partial charge, some don’t. See how long the manual says it takes to get to a full charge. Put your toy onto the charger for that long. (And, honestly, you really should charge-up your toy when you initially get it before the first. I know it sucks, but it’s good for battery life and longevity.)

3) Press and hold the power button. Depending on who manufactures your vibrator, it may turn on with a quick single press of the power button – or it might turn on when you press and hold the button for 3-5 seconds. Try both and see if this is the problem. (I own thousands of sex toys, and I constantly get stuck on this one when met with a new toy.)

4) Does your toy charge magnetically? If so, some magnetic sex toy chargers can be placed on the toy backwards, and you’ll never know. It will accept the charger happily. It just won’t charge. Try seeing if your magnetic charger will go on both ways, and if so, look for the way that lights up the sex toy’s lights and try charging it all over again. (Sorry!)

4b) Are you sure you’ve inserted the plug far enough? If the rechargeable vibrator has one of those “looks like a sealed hole until you plug the charger in” designs, a lot of people can be scared of pushing it in too far and breaking the toy. In many cases, they don’t push the charger far enough in – so the vibe never charges. Try to be a bit more forceful with the plug-in charger function. You can usually feel a bit of a “snap into place” with most of them. Then you gotta start the charging process all over again. (Still sorry!)

5) If you’re using a battery-operated vibrator, make sure the batteries are in the right way. Some vibrators include instructions that mention how the batteries go in, and most vibrators usually have a guide printed somewhere near the battery compartment; you just may have to squint to find it. In some cases, a battery-operated toy might have a piece of paper or another item “blocking” the battery contact ports – especially if your vibrator shipped with batteries. Check to make sure there isn’t one of those.

5note) If there’s a piece of paper lining the walls of the battery compartment, you generally leave that in there. That’s the manufacturer’s cheap-ass way of reducing the rattle the batteries make during use. If you remove it, your vibrator will get much louder. You can reinsert it again if you had to remove it temporarily for checking the batteries.

5a) Check that your batteries are new and disposable. Some battery-operated vibrators will not play with rechargeable batteries. Plus, sometimes, you accidentally insert a dead battery into a toy.

6) If you’re using a battery-operated vibrator, make sure you have the battery compartment completely sealed up. Some of these sex toys can require a really tight seal!

7) Is it a small bullet vibrator? Open up the battery compartment and make sure there isn’t a piece of plastic or paper sitting on top of the batteries. This breaks the battery’s connection so the bullet vibrator can’t turn on before it gets to you. Sometimes this piece of plastic is clear and see-through, so you won’t even know it’s there until you investigate.

8) Did you actually insert the batteries? It sounds obvious, but sometimes we assume the vibrator came with batteries when it actually didn’t.

9) Turn on your vibrator, and press the toy against skin. Some toys now come equipped with an automatic “off” functionality that turns off the stimulation if the toy isn’t pressed against skin. This keeps your sex toy from making annoying noises (and wasting its battery) if you toss it to the side mid-pleasure. However, it can also make it really hard to initially turn on when you aren’t used to that feature – especially if this is one of your first luxury vibrators. Try to turn on the toy while keeping the “usable” part touching your skin somewhere to see if this feature is the culprit. It’s currently a big feature of many WOW Tech portfolio (brands Womanizer, We-Vibe, Arcwave, Pjur, LoveHoney) toys.

None of That Worked!

Sometimes, despite your very, very best efforts, it just, literally, isn’t your fault. Like everything else in the world, sex toys are mass-produced in a factory. This means that some sex toys come off the line defective from the get-go. This isn’t common, but it definitely happens! (It’s even more common the lower-priced your toy is.)

If none of the above fixed your problem:

10) Contact Customer Service from where you bought it. Sometimes, there may be a known issue with your specific toy that they can walk you through. This also happens to be the first step in returning/exchanging a defective sex toy, so you’ll already be in contact with the people who can help you!

11) Other times, your toy is a defect. Just like that blender you took home from the store that was shattered when you opened it or that piece of furniture that was already cracked when you opened the box, vibrators and sex toys can come defective too. Sometimes, a toy slips off the line unnoticed. Contact Customer Service from where you purchased it to see about getting a refund or exchanging it.

12) Did your sex toy die long after you first purchased it? It’s unlikely that the retailer you bought it from will be able to help you anymore. Most standard sex toy retailer return windows are 30 days. (If your sex toy dies outside of that window, a retailer will assume that it’s due to negligence or a “natural” death of the electronics instead of a faulty one off the line.)

That being said, you’re not out of options! Especially if you bought a brand-name toy instead of some knock-off toy on Amazon, most manufacturers offer a 1 year or 2 year sex toy warranty against manufacturing issues.

If you know the brand name of your toy, do a web search, look at the bottom of the manufacturer’s site, and you’ll likely see info about submitting a warranty (or return!) claim. (Some manufacturers even offer 10-year or 15-year quality guarantees!)

(Protip: Keep all of the receipts from your sex toy purchases! If you buy in-person, keep the physical receipt, and if you buy online, dedicate an email folder to all of your purchases – even the non-sex toy ones! When you try to activate a warranty, most manufacturers will ask for proof of purchase from an authorized retailer. You’d be surprised by how often people accidentally purchase an illegal knock-off and try to contact the original manufacturer to activate the warranty – only to find out that they’re entirely out-of-luck!)

(Protip #2: This is yet another reason NOT to buy your sex toys from Amazon, eBay, or other random sites. Most name-brand sex toy manufacturers prohibit sales on those platforms, so if you buy their toys from those big websites, you may be getting a non-authorized copy. This means that the manufacturer will NOT honor your warranty request – because you essentially bought a bootleg vibrator. There are so, so many reputable sex toy stores out there anymore – ones that give back to sex education and ones that DON’T hide sex toys under multiple filters like they’re gross, hidden secrets. Shop from those instead!)

The two sex toys have their own little “holsters” built into the Naughty Alarm Clock base itself, and they snap into place by sorta-strong magnets. Honestly, the magnets could use a little bit more strength, but they do the job.

While the Naughty Alarm Clock sits there, the two sex toys sit inside of it. If you turn it upside down, the two sex toys don’t fall out automatically – the magnets hold them in. If you jiggle the Alarm Clock while it’s upside down or provide any sort of touch to the sides of the two sex toys, though, they will pop out.

Presumably, you’re not holding your alarm clock upside down often, so this might be functional for you. They stay in place fine when the alarm clock sits. If it gets tipped over, though, the two sex toys will fall out, so make sure to keep this alarm clock somewhere you don’t expect a lot of movement.

The magnetic ports that fasten the two sex toys into the Naughty Alarm Clock base also happen to be the charging ports. Heck yeah! So whenever you’re not using your two sex toys, they’re charging up, waiting for when you want to use them.

A simple grip of the sex toy you want to remove allows you to take it out from the Naughty Alarm Clock. You just pull. The magnets are gentle enough that you can remove either sex toy one-handed. That discretion also extends to the noise of each of the two toys too. Neither is loud. The vibrator is the louder of the two, but even then, with any sort of music or television playing, you can’t hear either.

It’s audible in the same room with absolute radio silence, but it is not audible outside of a closed door even if the house is ridiculously quiet.

This gives you even more flexibility if staying under the radar is at the top of your priority list.

(Which, coincidentally, can actually wake you up with alarms too!)

This would be even more awesome as the Naughty Alarm Clock actually uses USB-C ports, meaning you wouldn’t necessarily have to carry around an additional charging cable just to use it. You could just toss the clock onto your cell phone’s charger when it isn’t charging your cell.

(I have yet to kill the battery. The Naughty Alarm Clock requires 1.5 hours to fully charge itself and the two sex toys. I can’t find a listed battery life anywhere, and I have yet to kill it or either of the sex toys. The LED screen that displays the time times off after 30 minutes but can be awakened with a touch of any of the clock’s buttons.)

The BeYourLover Naughty Alarm Clock can still function for travel, but just be aware that the two sex toys will definitely fall out of the clock while in your luggage. Since the toys are relatively small (smaller than a credit card in size), you probably want to remove them from the clock before packing, and put them into a baggie for travel to avoid them getting lost.

BeYourLover Naughty Alarm Clock Review: Let’s Talk Pleasure

The only downside of the Naughty Alarm Clock is that the sex toys themselves are really small. This isn’t necessarily deal-breaking, but there’s only so much power you can fit into a toy that can hide in the palm of your hand. More powerful motors require more space. That’s just physics.

Unfortunately, that means that the Naughty Alarm Clock isn’t the most powerful sex toy out there. If you purchase a full-sized vibrator or full-sized air suction toy, they will be more powerful than the ones inside the Naughty Alarm Clock.

That being said, I was able to orgasm from both the vibrator end and the air suction end. I won’t say they were easy-to-achieve, super-simple orgasms, but the sensations from either end were enough to eventually get me to orgasm. This is not a toy I’d depend on if I was struggling to orgasm (that’s what the Domi 2‘s claim to fame is), but it is a sex toy that offers enough sensation when I’m craving release that it’ll work.

However, those softer sensations also come with softer noise, as covered above, which offers more potential for those who really want this because of the built-in discretion.

It Has App Control?

I’m going to be honest with you: for purposes of this BeYourLover Naughty Clock Alarm review, I have not reviewed the app control functionality.

However, if that’s of interest to you, I’d want to note that the Naughty Clock Alarm’s two toys feature Bluetooth capabilities that allow them to connect to a free cell phone app.

I actually can imagine this in the most romantic of settings, talking with your long-distance lover on the phone late at night. Things start to turn a bit naughty, and soon, you’re basically having phone sex. You grab one of the toys from the Naughty Clock Alarm, and your long-distance lover pairs it with their cell phone. You don’t even have to move from your spot on the bed; the toy is just right there, fully charged, and ready to play.

When I think of it like that, the app control functionality makes perfect sense.

But How Does the Clock Work?

Okay, this BeYourLover Naughty Alarm Clock review has provided everything you need to know about the sex toys inside of the alarm clock. But what about the clock itself?

The clock actually works – and it includes an alarm functionality!

The Naughty Clock Alarm has six buttons on it. There’s one button for each of the individual toys. The buttons on the individual toys do not affect the clock at all. Instead, the middle T-shaped button and the three buttons on the backside of the clock control the clock itself.

The English-written instructions included with the Naughty Clock Alarm will walk you through setting the time as well as setting (and cancelling) two separate alarms.

It’s important to note that this sex toy alarm clock has a 30-minute time-out function. After 30 minutes, the time’s numbers will disappear off the screen, and the front of the clock will just be black. I confirmed this with BeYourLover; this time out functionality can NOT be turned off!

It can easily be awakened (to show the time again) with a press to any button on the alarm clock itself, but it does mean you can’t use it as a quick “what time is it?” glance from across the room.

It also doesn’t look quite as believable as a clock, at-a-glance, when the time isn’t displaying. This is probably my biggest complaint about the Alarm Clock. I’d rather be able to leave it on the USB-C charger while it constantly displays the time in order to solidify its discreet place as a “barely noticeable” clock.

Before we dive into the sex doll itself, it’s worth really featuring one of Tantaly’s biggest selling points:

This complimentary, discreet black storage bag is honestly really solid. We toted this sex doll through the middle of an international, busy AF hotel at check-in with zero issues. (Okay, it was heavy as hell, but zero issues traveling discreetly.)

The black storage bag is built tough AF; it’s essentially PVC/polyester and nylon. There are zero brands or exterior markings on it, and it has a two zipper zip-up system to allow you to lock it if you want (locks aren’t included).

It even has handles!

Essentially, your Tantaly Hannah comes in a multi-layered protection system. When you receive your doll, you’ll see the exterior boring brown shipping box. Once you cut through that, you get to the very-orange Tantaly-branded retail box. Once you cut through that, you’ll see the zipped-up black storage bag with the doll zipped inside of it.

When you pull it out of the boxes and place the black storage bag outside of those shipping boxes, you can unzip the black storage bag. Inside the black storage bag is a gigantic styrofoam “shell”. Once you untape the shell’s top from its base, you can open up the styrofoam “shell”, and the Tantaly Hannah will be resting inside of it.

This is a fantastic way to store the sex doll at home.

I will say: when we took this to that aforementioned hotel, the bellman was a bit rougher with it than I would have liked, and we do have a crack in the styrofoam now. It is, after all, just super-thick layers of styrofoam. You might want something sturdier if your plan is to make house calls with your sex doll, but if you’re just hoping to have a good storage solution around the house, the complimentary bag (with handles!) is really fantastic.

(Sidenote: As noted, the nylon bag just zips around the styrofoam “shell”. All this to say: assuming you have the same issue we have, you can store light items on top of the doll like a shoebox or two, but I would not store anything heavy on top of it.)

We love the look of the Tantaly Hannah.

Designed to be their “sportier” sex doll, the Hannah has thick thighs, a slimmer chest, muscled thighs, and the faintest outline of abs.

The sex doll muscles feels the same as other sex dolls; the “muscles” do not come in a different TPE or TPR density. They look like a strong, muscled thigh, but they have the same squishiness as the neck or the arms or the butt.

(With the Tantaly’s trademarked TantaBosom technology, the breasts feel very different, but the breasts are unique, and we’ll get to that.)

That all being said, there’s a reason most of the marketing photos of the Hannah show the sex doll’s vulva clothed. While there’s a realistic vulva and vagina in there, I wouldn’t say it’s lifelike or detailed. If Tantaly had to cut costs somewhere, I’d say they did it on the vagina and anal appearance. They exist, but they look almost hentai-ish in their simplistic appearance.

Most of the time, money, and effort definitely went into the Tantabosom realistic breasts and the lightly muscled physique.

That Trademarked Tantabosom Technology

The Hannah sex doll is equipped with Tantaly’s trademarked Tantabosom technology. Essentially, the breasts are made from a different, squishier and lighter, material than the rest of the sex doll.

As someone who has used quite a few sex dolls, this Tantabosom technology really, really makes a difference. When all of the material of your sex doll is the same density, it tends to move as a whole unit. The sex doll momentum moves forward, and then backwards, as a whole, with every thrust.

The Tantabosom changes that. By making the material separate, lighter gel density, it moves and jiggles independently of the rest of the doll’s momentum. Heavy thrusts cause the breasts to bounce and jiggle every time, really standing out from the rest of the doll’s more static position. Y’know, they look like the squishy bags of adipose tissue that they are on human beings; add-on squishy bits that sit on top of the chest muscles.

Tantabosom is a huge upgrade to your visuals.

Texture-wise, they feel squishier, but I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s worth the upgrade if you’re going for the squish. The Tantabosom breasts feel realistic (we went back and forth between my breasts and the doll’s, and they feel very similar aside from temperature differences).

However, other Tantaly sex dolls I own have non-Tantabosom breasts that are pretty good to squeeze too. They don’t feel as “air-y” and “light” as the Tantabosom breasts, but the “average”, non-Tantabosom Tantaly sex doll breasts are still pretty darn good for squeezing.

Tantaly also says you need to squeeze Tantabosom breasts with caution. Aggressively squeezing or rubbing the breasts can harm the material inside the Tantabosom.

With that in mind, if you want the jiggly breasts visual, Tantabosom is worth its weight in gold. If you know you’ll be rough on the breasts, plan to use the sex doll mostly in doggy, or don’t necessarily look at the breasts that often, you may not notice the lack of Tantabosom (or may prefer the non-upgraded breasts if you plan to get rough with them.)

Tantaly also offers Tantabutt upgrades, but the Hannah sex doll does not have it. In sex dolls with Tantabutt, Tantaly takes this same lightweight material density and uses it for the butt as well. Note how, in the slap GIF above, the butt jiggles with the same momentum that the thighs do.

While the anal tunnel is tighter, both tunnels feel fantastic, and he really struggles to keep from cumming as soon as he slides into the doll. While he says the Fleshlights can be slightly more stimulating in texture alone (and Tantaly has the TantaRemoval sex dolls which will let you use your Fleshlight in a doll!), the visuals and full-body feel make the Hannah more stimulating mentally and physically.

With an average shaft, he can easily go to the hilt in the Hannah with a bit of extra room to spare. It feels snug without being uncomfortably tight.

Tantaly Hannah Review: Let’s Talk Size

This sex doll’s got some serious hips. The doll’s hip width is larger than my own partner’s hip width when they are sitting together (as you can easily see in the photos).

To help keep the doll’s weight and maneuverability under control, though, the Tantaly Hannah has much narrower-than-real shoulders and a very short torso.

Most of the sex doll’s weight is in that ass and hips.

This gives you a lot of the sensation of flesh pressing up against your own body during use while still making the doll functional enough for moving around your house.

You could easily make an argument that this sex doll torso is “life-sized”, though I’d say the ratios are still slightly off. But this is probably a trade-off I enjoy. I get life-sized parts where I want them while “trading off” some of the areas where I don’t necessarily need realism. (Do I notice that the shoulders are lacking a good 8″ of width compared to a human when I’m using it? No. Do I notice the breasts are a modest handful? I certainly do.)

Tantaly Hannah Review: Sex Position Options

The Hannah sex doll has a firm interior “skeleton”. It, essentially, has a long, rigid, unmoving spine from neck to mid-hips. At the mid-hip point, the doll’s skeleton splits in two, with a long, rigid joint in each of the thighs. At the top of the thighs, joined at the spine, there’s a ball-and-socket joint, allowing each one of the thighs to move in a circular motion.

The Tantaly Hannah sex doll thighs can be spread outwards or staggered (with one leg positioned closer to the tummy and one leg positioned closer to the butt). They do not have the full spread of the ball-and-socket joint on a human, but you can get some pretty good positions out of it. It allows you to put the Hannah into a doggy style or staggered spooning position with ease. If you want more access between the thighs, you can also spread the thighs apart. (And if you’re going for humiliation play, you can squish the thighs together tightly enough to use them as something to thrust between.)

This skeleton makes it so much easier to move the sex doll around. That being said, the doll is still almost 50 pounds, and it is not light.

If you can easily pick up and put down 45 pounds of squishy jelly, you can use the sex doll for active sex positions. Realistically, with all of our Tantaly Hannah review testing, we’ve found that we really prefer sex positions where the doll stays put and the human does the moving.

Our favorite, and it should come as no surprise with a thick booty and thighs, has been doggy style. With the thighs propped underneath the doll, the Hannah has a very hot visual. As an added bonus, propping the doll up with the thighs really adds to the angle, too, making it very comfortable to slide inside.

Missionary is equally enjoyable. With stronger thrusts, the Tantabosom breasts really jiggle, making for a ridiculously good visual. Honestly, with the premature ejaculation training we’ve done, we’ve had to turn the doll over mid-use because the view of those jiggling breasts has made him a hair trigger. (Which I find erotic too!)

Being able to move the thighs gives you a lot of “from the side” sex position options as well. You can rest the sex doll on its side to slide in from a side angle. The doll is very jiggly and very heavy, though, so I’d recommend pillows propped up against the sides to prevent the doll from rolling over on you mid-use. Or you can build some biceps holding it at the same time. It’s up to you.

While moving the doll takes some conscious effort, once you have the sex doll in place, it tends to stay where you put it. The doll’s weight means that it doesn’t slide along the sheets. As long as you put any grip on the doll, it stays in place through jackhammering and strong thrusts.

The same can be said about the posable thighs. Getting those thighs to move with your own hands is extremely difficult. Once you have them moved, though, they don’t unbend easily. Even in doggy style, with his body weight pressing downwards into the doll, tempting the doll’s thighs to flatten out, the thigh bend doesn’t change.

(That’s probably my only complaint about the Tantaly Hannah. The thighs are extremely difficult to move around. This really pays off during use; the sex doll stays in the position you put it in. For moving the thighs around or storing the doll back in its case – which requires the legs back at the perfectly straight angle – it’s hard to do. I’m hoping the thigh joints loosen up just a bit as we continually move them around.)

Moving the Tantaly Hannah

With the thick thighs and squishy booty, the Hannah doll does run booty heavy. It is not an evenly-weighted doll. When you go to move it around, I recommend holding the butt closest to your body and ensuring it’s fully cradled. It’s the heaviest part, and if it gets unwieldy, it can accidentally tip the doll out of your hands.

It’s, essentially, almost 50 pounds of super jiggly, ass-heavy, squishy material to move around.

I’m not going to lie to you; it’s not “easy” to pick up. Once you get it in place, though, that weight means that it stays where you put it.

The internal skeleton helps a lot. I’ve owned large, heavy sex dolls without them, and they are noticeably harder to move around.

I find that I usually pick up the Tantaly Hannah at its waist. This natural, slimmest-point gripping point makes it much easier to move around.

Ideally, I carry the sex doll ass up. Keeping the ass’s weight balanced on the top of my hands (versus underneath them) keeps the doll from sliding as easily through my fingers. This is especially true when it’s wet.

With this in mind, though, I highly recommend trimming your nails down OR wearing gloves to move the sex doll. Despite only owning it for a few months through our Tantaly Hannah review period, I’ve already accidentally sliced a spot of the skin with my fingernails while moving it.

I’d also recommend putting on those gloves for adjusting the thigh spread. Those posable joints are extremely firm, and adjusting the thigh angle is a two-handed job that requires applying lots of pressure to the doll to hold it in place while trying to get the thigh joint to release. You may accidentally end up slicing fingernails into the doll while doing this.

You can get away with not using the gloves if you’re fucking it; with the sex doll already in place, you probably won’t be digging your fingers into it. When you’re moving it, though, the doll’s flesh tends to spill over your fingertips, causing the material to make contact with your fingernails even if you are trying not to.

Cleaning the Tantaly Hannah

The Tantaly Hannah is not any harder or easier to clean than any average full-sized sex doll.

That is, you’ll need to flush out the internal tunnels you used with warm water and a mild soap. This is much easier with an enema bulb or with a handheld showerhead. With the doll’s size and weight, you’re not likely getting it underneath a bathroom sink spigot, but if you have the flexibility and a kitchen handheld spigot, that can also work.

If you really enjoyed her Tantabosom breasts, you may also need to clean off her chest or other parts of her body. If there’s lube or cum on it, clean it off.

I highly, highly recommend taking the doll into the shower with a handheld showerhead if possible. During this Tantaly Hannah review, we took the doll to a hotel that only had a stand-up shower and a super-small sink ledge for cleaning, and it was definitely an adventure.

Clean-up is definitely one of the big downsides of a large sex doll like this, but the Hannah is not any harder or easier to clean than any other doll as long as you can get its large size resting on some sort of flat surface.

• Clitoral tapping mound
• 3 interchangeable dildos, each with their own automated/powered sensations (thrusting, vibrating, tapping)
• Easy-swap, magnetic clip-in design for changing out those dildos
• Heating functionality for those dildos
• A plastic and silicone design, crafted for body safety (everything light matte pink is silicone. Dark glossy pink and black are all plastic.)
• A sturdy plastic frame with anti-slid tracks underneath for easy rocking
• A large, 17″ length with an 8″ height, functioning as its own sex furniture machine
• Controlled by a wireless, physical remote control
• Rechargeable design

The thickest attachment has an insertable length of 5″ with a diameter of 1.65″. The thinnest dildo has an insertable length of 4″ with a diameter of 1.35″. All dildos are made from silicone.

The VVD Rider Desire is splashproof. Do NOT play with it in water-friendly areas, and take care while cleaning to ensure minimal contact with water. It is NOT waterproof.

For anyone who has been around the sex toy industry a long, long time, you might remember a very similar product, the Doc Johnson iRide, that shares a very similar design. We actually loved the fuck out of it, so we had very high hopes before jumping into this VVD Rider Desire review.

To start, let’s talk about the basic function of the Rider Desire:

How Does the Rider Desire Work?

At its core, the VVD Rider Desire is a pretty simple sex toy. You place it wherever you want, you straddle it, and you sit down, sliding the dildo inside of yourself.

Once you’re on top of the Rider Desire, the toy’s rigid plastic, rounded design allows you to “rock” against it. The Rider Desire will rock with you, taking advantage of the shallow U-shape of the toy’s base.

This is fantastic if get off by “riding’ something. Especially with the clitoral ridge, you can straddle the Rider Desire and push yourself up against it, rocking with the toy’s natural motion.

Even better, the Rider Desire features three interchangeable “dildo” attachments that you can swap into the Rider Desire. Each one offers automated, built-in internal stimulation that doesn’t require you lift off, then sit back down, thrusting it into yourself. This means you can leave the attachment fully inserted, simply rocking on the Rider Desire while the dildo provides the pleasure for you.

Those three attachments are:

• Vibrating: Insertable length: 5″. It’s the widest and longest attachment with a diameter of 1.65″ at the tip. 7 vibrating patterns.
• Tapping: Insertable length: 4.75″, Widest diameter is at the tip: 1.5″. 13 tapping patterns.
• Thrusting: Shortest insertable at 4″ length. Shortest diameter at 1.35″ (near the tip). 6 thrusting patterns.

All three attachments, plus the remote and charging cable, come nicely packaged in this relatively sturdy cardboard box with foam cut-out. It makes for effortless storage of the accessories, and I’d really recommend treating it with care as it’s a great way to keep everything organized.

It’s worth noting that you must like penetration of at least 4″ in length and 1.35″ in diameter to enjoy the Rider Desire.

It’s surprising that they didn’t include smaller/shorter attachments for those who don’t like penetration that deep.

It’s also surprising that it doesn’t include some sort of hole cover for the dildo hole if you want to use it external-only. If you don’t have an attachment in the hole, the dildo’s hole will just sit open, exposing the metallic contact port inside, and I would really, really caution against allowing bodily fluids to make contact with that port. It could permanently destroy the toy’s interchangeable dildo system.

(As noted below, VVD confirms you can use the Rider Desire without a dildo on it, but you’ll need to cover the hole with tape.)

How Do I Swap the Attachments on the VVD Rider Desire?

Swapping the attachment is really easy. It is, by far, the easiest sex machine attachment swap out there. Other companies should definitely take note (for vaginal use).

Simply pull out the attachment with a bit of force, and it “pops” right out of the Rider Desire. It’s only held in place by a strong magnet, and your hand’s grip easily will take it out of the machine.

Once you have the current attachment out, you just pop in one of the other attachments. The magnet of the base of the attachment “snaps” the magnet inside the Rider Desire, and it holds the attachment firmly in the machine.

If you know you’ll be swapping attachments mid-play, keep a washcloth nearby. The washcloth can add some texture, making it easier to get a grip on an attachment that might be slick with bodily fluids and lube. As long as you can get a grip, though, it comes out with virtually no effort. I’ve spent more time trying to open an orange juice container than it takes to swap attachments on the Rider Desire.

I’ve never had an attachment come out of the Rider Desire mid-use. Throughout my VVD Rider Desire review period, though, I’ve always intentionally waited a few minutes for my muscles to relax before getting off the toy to swap out attachments. If you squeezed firmly and attempted to get off the attachment, I think you might be able to take it with you (inside of you).

Giving you options, the Rider Desire has three separate penetrating attachments. It does NOT have any “cover” for the attachment hole.

VVD confirms that the Rider Desire can be used without any attachments for external-only pleasure. However, the Rider Desire does not include a cover or cap for the dildo’s attachment hole. If you choose to use it for external-only pleasure, VVD says you’ll need to use waterproof tape to tape over the attachment hole. Any liquids that get into this (literal) opening may cause parts of the attachment port to malfunction. This means your thrusting/heating/tapping dildo may not come to life like it previously had.

There is currently no VVD-sold cover to go overtop of this hole. You’ll need to tape it up (and hope the tape doesn’t destroy the surface of your toy) if you want to use the Rider Desire externally. This seems like a pretty large oversight.

VVD Rider Desire Review: Anal Use

None of the attachments have a flared base, and all of the attachments are held in place by a magnet. While we’ve never had one of the attachments come out inside the person when the person gets off the Rider Desire, it is a potential risk.

That risk goes up if the muscles gripping the attachment are tight – like if you’re post-orgasm or using the Rider Desire anally.

With that in mind, we’ve only used the Rider Desire a few times anally and only with extreme caution.

If VVD releases an attachment that has a flared base down the line, I’d feel a lot more comfortable utilizing the Rider Desire for anal play. Otherwise, for safety, we really keep this one as a vaginal-only sex toy.

How is the VVD Rider Desire Powered?

Ensuring you don’t have to worry about power cables during use, the VVD Rider Desire is fully rechargeable. It has a USB-C charging cable opening on the front underside of the vibrator. A silicone cover over the opening helps keep fluids and dust out of the opening when you’re not using it.

This rechargeable design is an interesting choice. The Rider Desire a very large toy (compared to an average vibrator), and most toys of this size require power cords to feed the large motors that power them. Instead, the VVD Rider Desire is rechargeable (which does offer some nice benefits) with a use time of slightly over an hour and a charge time of 3 hours.

I know this came with a hit to the power (rechargeable toys just, literally, can’t be as strong as plug-in ones), but it’s something that sets it apart from other “have to find the outlet just to use it” machines.

The remote control is battery-powered. It uses a CR2032 battery. It comes with its first one upon receipt, but you’ll need to replace this cell battery down the line if you use the Rider Desire often.

The VVD Rider Desire Fits a Specific Body Type

As you can imagine when you have a toy that’s made from rigid plastic, the Rider Desire fits a specific body. Like all dual-pleasure sex toys, VVD had to build the insertable shaft and the clitoral area somewhere, and where they built them (in relation to one another) will depend on whether this works for you.

So, things to think about for the VVD Rider Desire fit:

• The insertable shaft and clitoral tapping are built-in. There is no way to adjust the two points closer to – or away from – one another. There is no way to adjust the distance between the two at all. If your clitoris is a lot closer (or further away), it’ll be difficult to take advantage of both pleasures at once.
• The clitoral tapping area is virtually flat. If you have larger or plushier outer labia, this may make it difficult to get direct clitoral contact while straddling the Rider Desire. I really struggle to be able to get the clitoral spot into the right spot for me, but a skinnier friend I had over to test for this VVD Rider Desire review didn’t have the same issue.
• The VVD Rider Desire is 17.3″ in height. If you have particularly tall thighs or particularly short thighs, this will make a difference in how comfortable the Rider Desire is. For me, I’m glad I have the flexibility to spread my thighs really far apart because that’s what helps get the clitoral area actually on my clit. If I couldn’t spread my knees far apart, the clitoral tapping area wouldn’t be able to reach my clit. (Protip, though: you could stuff towels underneath the Rider Desire, essentially putting it on a pedestal to reach wherever YOU are, height-wise).
• Use of the Rider Desire mostly requires kneeling. If your knees aren’t comfortable with weight on them, this is probably not a good toy for you. You can definitely put the Rider Desire on a chair and stand, straddling it that way, but it’s really hard to relax into the sensations while holding a squat for long periods of time. The toy was really designed for kneeling use. You may want folded blankets or knee pads to cushion your knees while using it.

You can definitely use some external modifiers to change how the Rider Desire fits with your body to an extent, but I think the Rider Desire will work best if:

• You’re able to spread your thighs wide in a kneeling position.
• Your clitoris is easily accessible and “close” to the surface of your body.
• You enjoy tapping sensations on your clitoris.

VVD Rider Desire Review: How Well Do the Dildos Work?

Everyone I’ve let try this during my VVD Rider Desire review period (and it’s been quite a few people as I took it with me to a BDSM conference) really likes the insertable attachments. The power of the movement on these attachments is solid. You can feel the in-and-out thrusting on the thrusting attachment, and you can feel the tapping tip from the tapping one. (And obviously, the vibrating one feels like vibrating)

The tapping attachment is probably my favorite. If I finangle myself into a super awkward angle while straddling the Rider Desire, I’m able to get that tapping tip to hit my g-spot almost perfectly. It feels amazing. Seriously, top tier. The number of sex toys I own that can hit my g-spot hands-free, over and over, I can count on one hand, and now the Rider Desire is one of them. I wish I could orgasm from g-spot stimulation alone because the Rider Desire would most-definitely get me there. It’s a luxurious, hands-free treat, and it’s probably my favorite way to use it.

The in-and-out thrusting dildo provides a good internal sensation, but it’s important to note that it’s not a full thrust. Most of the nerves receptive to thrusting tend to be at your entrance; the in-and-out thrusting dildo only thrusts at the tip. This can make for some good g-spot pressure, hitting it over and over, if you can get it in the right spot. Just don’t expect it to feel like a partner constantly thrusting in and out; like my surprised disappointment with the Vulse, it’s not the same nerve endings being stimulated.

The vibrating attachment, well, vibrates. It’s completely rigid with zero actual “movement”. It’s just a solid silicone attachment that has vibrations. It’s also the most curved attachment, so you can really snuggle it up into your pleasure spots for firm, constant pressure.

How Well Does the Clitoral Tapping Work?

It’s just so flat. There’s virtually no protrusion from the completely-flat surface of the Rider Desire. I have plushier labia and a fat body. Clitoral tapping is a light sensation that requires having as much surface area on the “tapping” area as possible. If you don’t get a lot of contact from that area, the toy can’t “tap” it.

This is where I run into issues. If I prop up the front of the Rider Desire to ensure it doesn’t keep rocking forward as I try to push into the front, I can eventually get my clitoris to make full contact with the clitoral tapping pad.

When I do, the clitoral tapping feels good. It isn’t easily orgasmic, but it would likely be enough to get me to orgasm if I could simultaneously enjoy that tapping dildo attachment on my g-spot. On its own, as a sole sensation, the clitoral tapping is nice, but I’ve never been able to orgasm from it.

Trying to use the clitoral tapping area on my clit while simultaneously enjoying one of the dildos is where things go wrong. This is a super awkward angle, and the dildos end up nowhere near the right spot or at such an unpleasant angle that it’s uncomfortable instead of pleasurable. I simply have to lean way too far forward to get clitoral contact with this flat surface to have my vaginal entrance lined up in the right place any longer.

Despite multiple attempts for this VVD Rider Desire review, I haven’t been able to figure out how to enjoy both the clitoral pleasure and the internal dildos at the same time. So when I use the Rider Desire, I’ve had to “pick a side” – and that’s rough for a toy at this price range.

I don’t think you’d necessarily encounter these same issues if you had a clitoris that wasn’t “deeply hidden” in between your labia. It’s very clear that the Rider Desire was crafted for someone to simply straddle the attached dildo, sitting upright, and have full contact with both the clitoral area and the dildo.

When I try that, though, likely due to my larger body, I’m still at least an inch away from having contact with the clitoral tapping zone. (I didn’t pull out a ruler.) The dildo is fully inside of me, but the clitoral area isn’t touching the right spot while I’m upright. Trying to lean forward to get that contact makes the dildo inside of me go at an awkward angle, and it ends up feeling…not great.

The same caution should be made for anyone who doesn’t necessarily want a full 4″ of dildo penetration (the shortest attachment). If the dildo isn’t fully inserted, you won’t be able to make clitoral contact with the clitoral pleasuring spot. This wouldn’t be as much of an issue if there were an easy external-only option, but with the attachment system how it is, it means you must want at least 4″ of penetration if you want to use the Rider Desire as it was created.

All that being said, the movements from the internal dildos work surprisingly well, and I’ve never had them lock up on me. They’re small movements, but they add a nice sensation. They aren’t full thrusting sex machines…but they are good, and I really enjoy the internal stimulation.

The clitoral tapping spot is a good addition to the internal dildos, but it isn’t particularly powerful on its own. I’d say it’s on par with a gentle vibrator. It wasn’t enough for me to orgasm on its own, but I think it’d be a good add-on to the insertable dildos.

Rocking on the It

Created for “riding”, the Rider Desire is, essentially, a sturdy plastic shape with silicone covering it. That means it really holds this light U-shape; you can see it in the above photo where it’s just casually holding itself off the ground.

The underside of the toy has two strips of anti-slip taping. This helps a bit with preventing slip, but it isn’t rubber or really heavily textured. It only provides a light anti-slip.

The Rider Desire’s rocking works best if you’re fully upright and rocking your hips back and forth. This upright position puts all of your weight stacked on top of it, and it really anchors the toy to the ground underneath you. We haven’t found any slipping when we use it that way.

However, if you lean forward in a doggy style position (like I talked out above, while trying to get clitoral contact), and try to grind into it, each forward grinding motion will slide the Rider Desire along the floor. We’ve had it happen on hard wood floor and the carpet with ease. It stays put a bit better on the bed, and when we were doing VVD Rider Desire review trials, I ended up stuffing a pillow in front of it to stop it from sliding. That did the trick.

If part of the appeal is rocking and grinding into it, think about how you like to grind.

VVD Rider Desire Review: It’s Remote Controlled???

Yes, it is!

This is actually really helpful when you’re grinding on top of the Rider Desire. Interrupting your movements to reach underneath the toy is somewhat jarring, but the remote makes setting changes a lot easier.

So you have three unique functions controlled by the VVD Rider Desire remote. They are:

• Clit Tapping Control: Scroll through the clitoris mound’s 13 different patterns.
• Power Button: Turn the entire toy on or off.
• Dildo Control: Control the functionality of the dildo attachment you currently have in (for the respective dildos: 6 thrusting patterns, 13 tapping patterns, 7 vibrating patterns). Double press this dildo control button to also control the heating functionality of the dildo.

The remote control functionality is impressive and reliable. It probably helps that the toy is large, allowing for a larger receiving unit on the toy.

Throughout our VVD Rider Desire review period, we’ve done a lot of edging play with this. It’s that reliable. A simple button press on the remote control turns off all of the sensations, making it easy to keep him on the edge without letting him tip over.

I’ve actually never had it miss a command.

As long as the remote is pointing at the Rider Desire with a clear line-of-sight, it seems to control it without issue. It’s equally reliable whether controlling the clitoral or penetrating shaft.

Zero complaints, and it makes it way more fun to use on a partner.

If you’re not into remote control for any reason, that’s cool too. The front tip of the Rider Desire has 3 buttons on its underside. In a relatively helpful design, these buttons match the same functionality of the remote control buttons, letting you swap between control methods without confusion. (I actually love this).

Unless you’re leaned really, really far forward, it’s not too far of a stretch to reach the control buttons underneath the Rider Desire toy itself. They have a nice satisfying click and work well.

VVD Rider Desire vs Motorbunny

I own both the Rider Desire and the Motorbunny, so I’m in a unique place to compare the two.

Realistically, despite the similar design, I’d say they’re both so different that it’s hard to compare. Whether you’ll prefer the Rider Desire or the Motorbunny is really going to come down to what you need, what you can afford, and where you live. It isn’t like the Rider Desire is just a “downgraded” version of a full-sized sex machine like the Motorbunny. It’s just different.

I’d say you should get the Rider Desire if…

• You live with others or in an apartment. The Motorbunny is power tool loud. It’s “if you use it in an apartment, your downstairs neighbor asks you to stop drilling” loud (yes, this happened). I can rarely use my Motorbunny at home because it’s too loud. The Rider Desire doesn’t have that issue. It’s MUCH more friendly to most living situations.
• You like to swap attachments often. The magnetic, easy-swap system of the Rider Desire is leagues faster than the Motorbunny’s system. It has some HUGE concerns about anal safety (as noted above), but if you’re someone who wants to temporarily pop off and slide in a new attachment, the Rider Desire is the clear winner here.
• You’re on a limited budget. It’s a factor, for sure, but I’d say it isn’t the primary one. But if you’re on a limited budget, the Rider Desire is 1/6th the price of a Motorbunny.
• You hate dealing with power cords. The Rider Desire is rechargeable. You don’t have to worry about wall outlets when you want to play with it.
• You want to travel with it. If you’re a kinky person who wants to take their saddle toy with them to play parties or play dates, it’s much, much easier to travel with the Rider Desire. It’s much lighter, with fewer cords and must-have accessories that are easier to lose.
• Your straddling capability isn’t as wide. The Motorbunny is much, much wider than the Rider Desire. If it’s difficult for you to spread your knees or straddle, you might prefer the Rider Desire.

On the other hand, get the Motorbunny if…

• You need a lot of power. The Rider Desire is pleasurable, but it’s not even in the same conference hall as the Motorbunny. The Rider Desire offers, maybe, 15% of the full power you can get from the Motorbunny. That’s to be expected. A cheaper, smaller-motor rechargeable toy simply isn’t going to compare to a plug-in powerhouse. (However, as noted above, that Motorbunny power comes with a LOT more noise.)
• You want to use this anally. As noted above, I have large safety concerns about the VVD Rider Desire and the anal use of the attachments. The Motorbunny’s attachments are physically secured and include a gigantic base. They aren’t getting lost in the butt.
• You’re a thicker boi/girl. The VVD Rider Desire has a weight limit of 275 pounds. The Motorbunny’s weight limit (confirmed by the company) is either 400 pounds (direct pressure on the attachment mount) or 600 pounds (direct pressure on the semi-circular surface itself).
• You regularly want external-only pleasure. While VVD confirms the toy can be used without any penetrating attachment, if you use it that way, it leaves the attachment hole open. Any errant body fluids that get into this literal opening can destroy the toy’s functionality. The Motorbunny has multiple external-only attachments that circumvent this problem.
• You want a huge selection of attachments. The Rider Desire comes with three different internal dildos, but they look pretty similar. The company, VVD, hasn’t put out any add-on purchasable attachments yet. The Motorbunny offers a variety of attachments, including fantasy options and super-thick options, to cater to most appetites.
• Your clitoris is harder to access from the surface (like if you have plushier labia or body fat in the area). The Rider Desire doesn’t offer much protrusion to get the sensations in-between inches of squish. The Motorbunny has a whole host of attachments that offer inches of material to get the vibrations where they need to be.
• You want app control functionality. If you get the correct accessories, the Motorbunny can be controlled via app, opening up different ways to play, if that’s important to you.
• You’re considering this an “investment”. As far as I can tell, the VVD Rider Desire doesn’t have a warranty at all. The Motorbunny has an 11 year warranty. Neither are waterproof (though the Rider Desire is splashproof). I worry more about the Rider Desire’s quick-change opening (with no flared base protection) getting bodily fluids in it more than I worry about the Motorbunny, though.
