From the Herring family to all friends and family of the Kirkland Family Reunion.. Thank you!! The act of giving that you all took upon yourselves to commit eludes to true definition of family and community. You have set into motion an act of kindness that will not stop with us. We will use this gift to rebuild our lives so that we may begin to help rebuild the lives of others in the Bastrop community. When all is said and done YOU will have positively influenced at least 10 families of Bastrop county. This we promise to make happen. Thank you.

Dad and Uncle Richard just left to get there early. The rest of us will be there later on today. We are excited and looking forward to seeing everyone! Have a safe trip and we'll see you all there!

Uncle Sonny passed away this morning at his home. My sincere condolences to everyone who knew him. He was a terrific man and will be in my heart forever.
Funeral service will be next Thursday March 24th @ 2:30pm. 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston,TX 77038

Leslie Kirkland

Today we lost a gem of our family. I'm not sure that my words can do justice for the memory of Leslie. She was a beautiful, intelligent and creative individual. Leslie always had a positive outlook and genuinely cared and loved us all. Always with warm greetings and friendly demeanor, Leslie displayed grace in everything she did. She had a way of smiling that naturally just brightened your day. We were all blessed to know her.
Fighting the tears as I'm typing, I wish to express my condolences to David and the rest of his family. This is a terrible loss, your grief and pain is shared by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Thank you David for bringing Leslie into our family! You are in the thoughts and prayers of many!

My Uncle Sonny was sent home from the hospital with bad news. He has stage 4 cancer. They told him to eat whatever he wants, quit worrying about medicine, do whatever he feels like doing. Grim news like this just tears my heart out. Please keep Sonny on your mind and in your heart and prayers.
